LD59 — Signal (11)

Send the Signal by Pavel Goncharov 2026-04-25T15:01:22Z ♥ 0

Nice little game. The signal could have been more expensive though, you can collect 9 pink coins relatively quickly, and it's fun playing the game with maximum bomb and luck upgrades. One thing that can be a tad annoying is that rocks can go off screen slowly, and you cannot see them or hit them until they reappear a few seconds later. That's why I started placing a bomb, collecting what I get and dying immediately. Very fun!

This is very innovative, though I will have to agree that the mechanics are a bit too complex. I would actually like to see this as a pure puzzle game without enemies. I think a slower and smoother introduction into mechanics, their combinations and parity would be a bit nicer. But all in all, very good idea with lots of potential!

I always like to play a nice puzzle game. This is a great concept, though I believe there could have been more complex logic, and the signal thing mechanics should have been explored further. I guess the time didn't allow it. The third level was unnecessarily long, and there are multiple levels after it where I'm pretty sure I didn't do the intended solution (I basically walked to the flag, ignoring most of the level). Maybe those were just red herrings (including the green floor in the last parity level)? But all in all, I like the mechanics, graphics, and there is definitely potential for a good, challenging puzzle game. Great work!

Interesting and fun game. There is potential for some more complex obstacles, but that would probably require more control/information about ant's position during drawing. Nice game!

Artificial Invaders by slay a stone 2026-04-25T14:06:33Z ♥ 1

Great dodging game! There are a few things that can feel unfair (like not being close to a screen when the shapes appear which could be fixed by adding a shape on a fixed position on the screen, or having lasers go through the shape right as it activates, or losing a life immediately when spawning even though nothing hit me), but in general it wasn't too difficult for me. It took me a few attempts for the second level, but the third one was easier for me. I also liked the funny parody-like story, although there is not much signal-related stuff in there.

Radio Silence by PaulMag 2026-04-25T13:53:17Z ♥ 3

What an amazing game! It gave me Outer Wilds vibes with all the different planets/stars, signals and mysterious messages (and the eye of course). I love the plot twist of the location of the last puzzle. The only thing I would change is digital frequency input, although I didn't have much problem with it unlike other players. 3D antenna rotation animation is much appreciated. Very well done!

We're Breaking Up by RobotChimp 2026-04-25T13:29:39Z ♥ 2

I like how it just drops you in, no warning, no explanation. From all the crashing I started imagining things on the road, and my dog calling me. Very fun game!

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-25T13:20:31Z ♥ 2

Nice, simple, and most importantly fun! Though it would have been nice to have a slightly more challenging obstacles, and this "aim it" part could've been shorter as was already mentioned.

Dread Frequency by Roitchie 2026-04-21T19:32:21Z ♥ 3

It wasn't as scary as I feared it would be (which is good as I was able to finish it). Nice simple task puzzles, it gave me Among Us vibes.

McFoley's by braktheman 2026-04-21T19:19:17Z ♥ 1

The graphics are funny, but sound effects are the best. I can definitely see it being more chaotic if there were more (or more complex) manual pages.

CXNTACT by NonDev 2026-04-21T18:58:14Z ♥ 1

Really great atmosphere! I agree with the above comment that it was very satisfying to type on the terminal. I got a bit stuck before realizing I needed to go the the starting room for panel work, but it was smooth sailing after that. The weak signal effect is very well designed, it really amplifies this spooky feeling.

If there is something to add to this feeling, perhaps it would be some ambience music, but then again we're in the vacuum of space so no sound is the correct way to go about this. Very well done!
