LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deep Space Journey by aaranos 2021-04-29T03:33:45Z

The crew would like to focus on MONEY!

Spend -12 MONEY for MONEY

*clicks that option*

You spend -12 MONEY and received 4 MONEY.

***

I did this about six times. Yes, my stock investment portfolio irl isn't particularly healthy either.

Balancing all the resources to keep the trip ongoing is interesting, but it feels difficult to lose. Spamming to click random options keeps the voyage going for a long time. Additional encounter types could breathe some extra life into the game, or maybe even just more varied descriptions of the events rather than "crew wants to focus on xxx."

The music was excellent and perfectly thematic, and the UI/graphics, while simple, were well polished. Overall, this feels like the foundation of what could be an interesting resource management/strategy game, if only just a little bit extra were added on!

Press Space To Jump The Gap by foolmoron 2021-04-28T03:48:38Z

This game surprised me! Like the reviewer above, I also thought the game was broken at first--but once I realized what was going on, it was a joy to puzzle my way through. A fun concept well-executed!

Unstable by Sharks 2021-04-29T02:40:21Z

The concept of the game is pretty amusing, but, as other people have mentioned, death is probably a little too punishing--I died to a horse patrol, spawned in a previous room, walked forwards, died again immediately as I hadn't realized I'd been sent back, and was launched back to like the third room in the game. With how slowly the computers power up, and how slowly the main character walks, it felt as though the game forced me start back over again. It might be worth instituting some sort of checkpoint system where if you die on room 5, it sends you back to room 4--but deaths on that room 4 keep you on room 4. Once you reach room 6, the furthest back you can be sent is room 5, and so forth. Something to give the player just a little bit of a sense of permanent progression

Substate by beats 2021-04-28T04:18:03Z

I'll join the chorus of voices wishing that this were longer--as it stands, this feels like an excellent proof-of-concept for a cool puzzler, or maybe the first level. With additional environments and puzzles, you'd have a real winner here!

Also something really tickled me with the way you handled the "END". Maybe it was the way you read it, or the bold font over the tree--speaking of which, the animation of the tree was nice, and the art style is cool and distinctive. Very enjoyable!

Monkey Business by enderr42 2021-04-29T03:17:00Z

An awesome concept with a charming implementation! The entire game seems built around the pun in the title, and it's certainly worth it: the notion of monkeys using trucks to mass-mine and refine bananas is precious.

I'm sad to see the monkey enemies stealing bananas not yet implemented, but the result is that you have a lovely, peaceful time slowly removing those pesky trees from the rainforest without hindrance (it didn't need all of those trees anyways). The tough calls between selling bananas and refining bananas is interesting, and it was fun to see my decisions pay off as my little banana exploitation farm expanded and leaked out into the green lands around me. Very nicely put together, and especially as a (nearly) compo game!

Treasure by popoAwA 2021-04-29T03:48:28Z

John Williams's iconic score for Jaws stands the test of time--its simple e-to-f alternating motif strikes fear into the heart of swimmers still four decades post-release, and is likely to remain in shared cultural consciousness for decades more.

But John Williams's score cannot even hold a candle to the sheer terror inspired by watching that shark sprite stop its rotating. Its black, beady eyes stare unmoving, and you can tell its tiny shark brain is practically vibrating as it senses the gold you carry. Its sprite contracts for just a moment, a seeming violation of the very sacred laws of physics itself as its body compresses into attack position--and then comes the last sound you will ever hear: bwump-bwump.

You are consumed... and the gold you coveted is the only trace that remains, carried off by the bloodied tides until the dark currents of night bury the coins and your bones both far from the prying eyes of man.

Explory Story by Blue Pin Studio 2021-04-29T04:44:20Z

I absolutely **loved** this concept! I've never seen anything like this done before... maaaybe "Baba is You" gets vaguely close, but this is something wholly unique. I had a great time accidentally turning Sherlock Holmes into a baby, getting that baby **drunk**, and stumbling onto words that spawn an **army** of little green men to demolish me... hilarious moments like that were **key** to winning me over. The music was perfect to the Sherlock Holmes vibes, and the pixel art was beautiful--even when I accidentally spawned the devil, I couldn't help but admire the lil **flame** puffs he hurled at me.

explorey story small.png The cool portal space behind the book, the weather effects, even the **door**'s distinctive shape... all of it is undeniably **pleasant** and contributes to a fun and memorable game experience. I've never read so carefully before, tip-toeing around words that might cause **pain**. You've got top marks from me, and I'm sure you'll do really well in the ratings. I'll also join the chorus of voices asking for a full game... expand this out a **little** more, list it on Steam, and the sales would **flood** in.

Deeper and Deeper by ishmandoo 2021-04-28T04:48:53Z

An excellent maze game! Forcing the Deepers to always march forwards was an excellent design decision, leading to lots of frantic swapping while I'm steering one away from a ghost and the second away from flame arrows. The music fit the environment perfectly, and speaking of--the environment was beautiful! The rocks and tile flooring were all clean, but it was the lighting that stole the show for me. The torches' glow was excellent, the rock shadows were perfect, the ghost's ominous glow was awesome (and it helped alert the player danger was near if they were steering the other Deeper). All of the above combined to make a deeply atmospheric experience that made stumbling through the dark a pleasure. I'd love to see what the full maze looks like!

An Unexpected Mishap in Naval Mine Cove by Bea 2021-04-29T02:54:15Z

This game was incredibly polished! The sub and character art were perfect, and even the bombs looked scrumptious. If I had one complaint, it might be that the early game was a little too easy--didn't see a drop of water in my sub until I sank past the 1000 mark on my slow drift down into blackness. From then on, my sub became an involuntary bomb collection comb, picking up just about any that I passed.

I love the formula you've set up here, and see great potential in this if expanded! I'm envisioning alternate subs, some providing different benefits/drawbacks--like maybe one with steering levers nearby to each other, but the draining lever really far away.

I think it could also be interesting if you added additional stations to the subs, or maybe things for the player to steer the sub towards rather than away from--maybe something that can repair the craft? Something like floating chunks of metal, which then allows the player to go use a maintenance valve. It could add some interesting depth (pun not intended)

Either way, an impressive entry--I'm sure this will do well in the ratings

LumenBrink by mrawde 2021-04-29T06:10:51Z

A very polished line-connection puzzler! The mechanics might not be new or groundbreaking, but the implementation here is clean with great pixel art and smooth gameplay. Nicely done!

Blue Abyss by Alpha Wolf Studios 2021-04-28T04:05:55Z

A game with a surprising amount of depth (no pun intended)--managing the submarine can prove hectic in a good way. I was dodging mines while alarms were blazing that I was in unsafe depths... had to move my weapons guy to the pressure room to stave off disaster. I then drove towards a land mine and clicked, expecting to shoot it, but the empty missile launcher seat meant that I just crashed into the thing and died. Would sink again.

Surface by fizzbark 2021-04-28T04:30:22Z

A fun little platformer! I enjoyed the almost circular nature of the level design where you're brought back to the same platforms with newfound powers--something that unlocks a new way forwards. The only problem I had is that I accidentally skipped two sections of the game by failing jumps and falling down to lower portions of the level--lucky I didn't miss any powerups when that happened. A few extra of those kill orbs should protect other players against the same trouble.

Nice character design and ambiance!

Danger Rat by Studio Gomp 2021-04-29T04:16:24Z

Remember when Gandalf stopped the balrog from attacking the Fellowship by bringing down the bridge, and as they fell into the dark and rocky core of Middle Earth, they engaged in a sick mid-air swordbattle? It's like somebody said "yes that but what if it were rats and hell?"

The controls are silky smooth and responsive. The background hellish landscape is amazing, featuring fun design and clean integration with the rat's falling and bouncing. The game is clearly one that rewards quick reflexes and thinking, but it works consistently to where that's no problem at all. Nothing plays worse than finnicky reflex games, and this isn't one of those.

The music is fun, and the enemy types are varied--at least I think, as it's hard to appraise them when falling in a blur. I did get a strange glitch where the rat was blurry on spawning by the chain, but it seemed to wear off as each run went on.

Overall, a very polished and fun experience!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Cascading Failures by stuffedgravy 2022-10-03T15:51:18Z

a fun little prototype of a game; it really does capture the vibe of flying a cardboard box through space.

One of my only complaints, though, is that the player can't move through one of the curved hallways--at least not on my system. Attempting to move through it gets you stuck until some maintenance crisis destroys the ship

SheepControl by saikai 2022-10-04T06:16:32Z

A fun little game with charming graphics and simple/unique gameplay. There is one broken player strategy where spamming spacebar lets the player merge all of the sheep into a single supersheep that you can then keep safe, but outside of that exploit, the gameplay is fun!

Fire Rocket Lava Dungeon [HTML5] by Beandream 2022-10-03T16:27:30Z

A fun little game! The only points of criticism I could make are that the jetpack sound is a little annoying and the ten-second timer probably shouldn't be running while you're choosing which random modifier to take on. Beyond those tiny nitpicks, the game is fun and feels essentially like a complete experience!

Super Garden Lord by poboy 2022-10-03T15:31:09Z

@bcollins0000 it should be fixed now!

Alfred, Coffee Pot [WIP] by fosf0 2022-10-03T16:37:03Z

a checkpoint system of some type might be nice, as it's sad to have to restart all the way back when you touch a laser beam :(

Love the art and overall visual aesthetic! Top-notch art team

LD52 — Harvest

Art Of Harvest by BubbleMapGaming 2023-01-13T08:12:03Z

5:20 overall time, so I'm basically a fully certified farmer now :sunglasses:

I found the slidey/drifty controls of the vehicle fun, and the voice sound effects were a nice touch (although given that the track is like 5 minutes long, a slightly longer loop wouldn't hurt :P )

Overall, me and my friend who simultaneously raced had fun!

Harvest Doom by tinykidtoo 2023-01-10T01:00:15Z

Wish there were a way to reduce mouse sensitivity, since I always play fps games with low sensitivity. Still, a fun and fast-paced little shooter!

I'm not positive what the water gun's $100 upgrade does, since I don't think I ever managed to properly use it. I think I was at least able to grow more enemies? It'd be cool if you could grow yourself some new weapons and defensive options

πŸ₯• Grow a Carrot! πŸ₯• by pauljs 2023-01-10T00:30:49Z

I know we've reached the future since now I can grow a carrot from the comfort of my phone.

checkmate, world hunger

Endless Harvest by sonicpixelation 2023-01-11T04:41:00Z

It's a very pleasant and calming little card game, but the mechanics are currently very game-able: you can just hit 'end turn' over and over again to generate massive amounts of cards; the orange effect cards are never a worthwhile investment, as they cost more than the cash harvest they're saving (with the only exception of using a single rain storm card); there is no incentive for players to try to plant crops under oncoming damage.

With some tuning to address the above and more cards added in, this could be an interesting base!

Fox Puppies Want Food For The Winter by Lerg 2023-01-10T23:34:34Z

A pleasant little base for a game! I loved the visuals and music; they contributed nicely to a cozy vibe.

I do wish that the gameplay had some other mechanics to keep the loop interesting, as it really just became a walking simulator waiting for the fox to scamper along after the first couple trips. The enemies themselves were suitably scary-looking, but bumping into them doesn't seem to do anything at all.

Would be very excited to see what this cute base could be grown into!

BEE A GOOD BEE: And Fetch Me Some Pollen by ahintoflime 2023-01-09T23:30:15Z

Excellent work for a first foray into Unity! The flight controls feel smooth and polished, and there's something satisfying about the way that the little pollen bits fly into your character. I do wish that the camera didn't leave our little bee sprite so close to the north bound of the screen when he's flying upwards... a nice little run of 128 ended to a surprise flower :(

Harvest Mouse: Veggie Survivor by chelC 2023-01-11T04:00:23Z

Fun little game! The art was all very pleasant, and the enemies coming in with different stats was a nice touch... I always knew those little eggplant emojis would be the death of me :(

Agricultural Ascension by Sibi 2023-01-09T22:21:46Z

An excellent puzzler! I do love the look, the sound, and the overall impression it all adds together to make. The gameplay itself reminds me a bit of a rubik's cube... brain-teasy in just the right ways.

Nicely done!

Slim Reaper by rustynoob 2023-01-09T23:57:51Z

Unfortunately, as another commenter mentioned, the tractor goes invisible while driving, which makes it difficult to play. The purchasing is also glitched out, as it let me buy an item I didn't have the money for and I ended up with -$80 USD after

Orchard Alchemy by caeonosphere 2023-01-11T06:02:01Z

A super impressive compo game that drips with polish! I'm a big fan of factorio-adjacent automation games and this one definitely taps into the same addictive energy.

must... fling more fruit

Harveeps by Raivk 2023-01-09T21:08:14Z

Absolutely great little game! The UI and graphics are absurdly polished for such a brief jam, and the gameplay is both interesting and new. Like your description says, it's not quite tetris, it's not quite sudoku, but it certainly evokes both games in the best ways! I liked the innately interesting decisions it puts on the players--do you chase points or try to clear field segments to banish angry farmers?

This is my first game I've played since the rating period opened, and what a high note to start with. Excellent work across the board!

Harvest by Cloistered 2023-01-13T07:25:41Z

The variety of items to stack/balance keeps things both amusing and fresh. The physics seems well-implemented and responsive. Nicely done!

Subnautilus by Guldfisk 2023-01-09T23:26:06Z

for some reason it won't let me input my name on the first screen--what might I be doing wrong?

Drake's Fortune by chompdev 2023-01-10T00:13:16Z

I love being a dragon sniper, nailing a tower of enemy archers from a mile away. Fun game that seems to capture similar energy as Angry Birds, and might be a concept worth expanding into a fully-fledged game. Nicely done!

Fields of Fury by wheelsx 2023-01-10T04:37:56Z

For the player who has ever wondered what would happen if you took the classic "Doom" formula and applied it to the much-newer "Grounded". Charming little game; nails the old-school vibes perfectly!

Click On Fish by Pomo 2023-01-11T02:59:39Z

A cute and fun little game! Once it goes from managing two species to eight, the chaos is delightful.

Great music, sound, and visuals. Nicely done across the board!

Expand by Tesseract 2023-01-09T21:20:15Z

An interesting little optimization game! The early portions did leave me wishing there were easier ways to quickly navigate around and do what I wanted to do, but I also liked the rapidly expanding scope

Cookie Typer! by Minos_L2b 2023-01-10T04:49:30Z

I do think that typing words rather than clicking a button makes for a slightly more fun game loop... would love to see this developed into a larger project!

I also think that the wpm counter at the top makes a fun "number go up" motivator to try typing faster, but, for the wpm statistic to be meaningful, you might want to show the word that will be next after the current word (or at least sell that as a purchasable upgrade). For fast typists, you want to know what comes next so you can start the next word as you're pressing space

The PIT by Wouter52 2023-01-13T06:48:58Z

Awesome puzzler! It's really a delight to be home-growing the pieces you play the puzzle with, and it's such a refreshing breath of fresh air to be fitting pieces in a board that *aren't* your classic tetrominos. Great gameplay loop, and the plants' look were interesting, memorable, and inventive. Nicely done!

Brainma by 8enB 2023-01-10T23:15:08Z

A fun little strategy battler! Somehow, my game seems to have gotten stuck when I used the duplicate ability for the slime blob... it entered an animation where a second copy was walking, but he was clipped inside the first, and the entire game seemed to lock up.

Still, a nicely realized concept!

Big Aussie Harvest by Enad96 2023-01-11T04:47:24Z

Playing this game will make you fail 9 of the 14 commercially-available drug tests currently on the market

Glorb Garden by Taek 2023-01-09T23:34:30Z

The speed the character moves at makes it a bit tricky to do exactly what I wanted to do, but I love the idea of planting your weapons and harvesting them on a delay to survive. Graphics are clean and the overall feel is very polished. Well done!

Children of the Combine by MilkWine 2023-01-11T16:32:57Z

@bardicmischief By the end of recording, we had something like 6 continuous minutes of audio for Presidente, and nearing 8 minutes for Popelord! I think just about everything recorded ended up in-game.

The frog's recording demands were just a little bit less

Children of the Combine by MilkWine 2023-01-13T20:24:11Z

@jormarysky we're actually in the process of polishing and fixing things up to throw a "complete" version up somewhere online--maybe Steam! We've got plans to add actual texturing, fix the webGL build's abhorrent lighting, and we've already tightened the vehicle's controls and enemy AI to make things more interesting. Keep your eyes peeled for it!

Organigrow by Phillip Scott 2023-01-10T23:45:05Z

You know it's a great little game when the first couple comments on the post are people being angry/toxic about earning the high score πŸ˜‚

Excellent, charming art style and fun gameplay. Nicely done!

Starvesters by z0rg 2023-01-11T03:11:48Z

Absolutely gorgeous visually and aurally--almost seems more an art piece than a "game" truth be told. Captivating and overwhelmingly pleasant!

Navigation was a bit tricky with gimbal lock preventing me from rotating in the direction I often found myself wanting to rotate... game could be a lot smoother and more enjoyable with a quaternion rotation system permitting all the flight turns your heart could want. If that's already implemented, then I'm not sure what leads to the steering hitch, but something's repeatedly catching and it has to do with rotating with A and D

Inter-dimensional Asteroid Harvester by Deepfreeze 2023-01-09T23:45:21Z

A nice little Asteroid game! Cohesive feel and a good amount of visual polish; would blend perfectly in a modern arcade cabinet.

The Dust Harvest by Nodra 2023-01-11T04:07:59Z

Very rough at first as you tend to die really quickly to enemies before you can learn what anything does... especially given that you don't spawn with ammo! A slightly more detailed tutorial on your first time playing would really help players figure out what's going on.

Once I cleared that early hump, things started to click into place... a really smooth and stylish survival shooter!

(Test) by TweekStudios 2023-01-10T00:45:57Z

A nice little framework for a game to be built around... fun to imagine making a little farmstead on a meteor! The space constraints could make for interesting gameplay

Dream Reaper by Orhu 2023-01-10T00:54:33Z

A fun little maze puzzler with good level design! I did find myself wishing I could move each gamestep a bit faster, as you'd figure out a level, but then just be mashing the 'wait' key for things to slowly slide into place.

Regardless, a fun game!

H.A.R. VEST by Breaddysticks 2023-01-10T23:25:28Z

A fun platformer! As others have said, the controls feel fast and snappy and responsive. I also agree with the sentiments that the game is currently quite difficult based on the required input speed, and a UI showing off the abilities would be very helpful--I reached for the wrong button far too often, meaning to teleport only to do a costly lightning blast. On a game where resources matter as much as they do here, mis-presses are quite the frustration!

Night of the Werevester by RaynaldDantigny 2023-01-13T07:53:23Z

Hail, fellow combine-running-people-over team!

The opening cinematic was hilarious, and the gameplay was a lot of fun--accelerating through the fields and dodging the cars flying at your face while people raved around you. My record was meters shy of 2km. Hilarious and polished game overall. Nicely done!

Collector of _ by Jujus 2023-01-09T23:52:54Z

A fun game! I do think the game could benefit from clearer explanation to how the push and pull mechanics work... when I hit the first large jump that required using the flame, I had already pressed shift once, so my right clicks were not clearing the gap, and I thought I was somehow stuck.

I also think it would benefit from some sort of line indicating which flame the player's right click would interact with.

Beyond those minor quality-of-life requests, the gameplay was fun and original. Nicely done!

WARVEST by Erivas_Soulares 2023-01-10T00:23:02Z

A fun little game! I enjoyed the rising chaos aspect of letting one seed slip past uncollected, and then dealing with the consequences of that miss... then you try to chop down one of the plants, and suddenly your problem is substantially worse. Well-designed and fun game loop!

This game will also help any players tell if they have the sticky keys windows command active... had a good run defeated by accessibility settings :(

Organ Harvest Season by Kettelcorn 2023-01-11T05:07:28Z

@kiv it took me a few tries to figure out, but you can hide behind the trees to avoid the police as long as they don't see you hide!

Egg Egg Chicken by JUMPirate 2023-01-13T06:35:45Z

An awesome little area defense game! I did love the way that the screen fills up and becomes chaotic as you're scrambling and trying to decide if you want to click eggs / generate income or defeat enemies. Nice push-and-pull feeling between progression and defense. Nice job!

LD53 — Delivery

Game Genie: Crunch Time by LandoSystems 2023-05-02T05:52:20Z

The movement and bouncing around was a little bit frustrating, but the overall package--the visuals, the art, the sound, and the off-the-wall storyline--all combine to make an "experience." One of the more memorable games of LD53 for me; the videogame equivalent of being locked in a coffin filled with glitter and a disco ball, shaken until you almost throw up... *but in a good way.*

Spaghetti Rails by milano23 2023-05-02T04:22:10Z

A nice little game! Feels like the first level of what could be a larger, fuller experience, but if there was a way to "win", I might have been too train-illiterate to do it. I got the trains to go to their right stations, but none would go in or acknowledge having 'arrived'. I also had trains occasionally clip into trees while turning :( Still, a fun little puzzler that felt like it also might be a graph theory question in a text book!

E.T. Eats by Reef 2023-05-02T04:37:39Z

A really fun little game! It'd be neat if, after getting enough deliveries, the player could move on to additional levels with even new dishes to serve--even the food pickup points could drive around for added chaos.

It'd also be great if the player could tell which indicators pointed to distant windows, and which pointed to close-by ones... right now, the route 'optimizing' is largely guesswork, but indicators that changed size or opacity based on distance could let player skill really shine.

Nicely done overall!!

Volcano Buggy by Liven 2023-05-02T04:55:25Z

Step 1: escape menu Step 2: set 'max balls' to 1000000000000000000 Step 3: wait for the slideshow to eventually begin

A fun little demo! The terrain is lit well and the particle effects are nice... I just wish that there were a consequence for letting the fire orbs touch you. Looking forward to seeing what a fuller version might look like!

Hellfire Pizza by AploveStudio 2023-05-02T05:12:24Z

Great visual palette, and fun character designs! The map was a little tough to navigate at first--I got lost trying to find my way back to the pizzeria all the time. Still, the gameplay loop was enjoyable and the game drips with personality. Nicely done!

Desert Bike by wokeraccoon 2023-05-02T06:28:02Z

The controls felt responsive and tight--really captured the drifty turns of biking very well!

This felt like it would belong in an arcade cabinet in a modern barcade. It has that quality where you almost hate that you feel compelled to try to beat your own high score. Nicely done!

Cracken Cargo by cfinger 2023-05-02T03:55:20Z

Holy mother of art team, batman!

What a gorgeous, polished game... your art team needs a promotion, stat. The controls were very hard to wrangle, but that fits in theme for being a literal octopus trying to conduct a trading empire. I'm not very good at shipping, it turns out :(

And did I mention there's *a literal Sea Shanty??*

A delight to play, and I second the above commenter's request for a more fleshed-out version. Amazing job!

Parcelmecium by Bokonon 2023-05-02T06:10:09Z

A great little vampire-survivors-like game! I love the idea of hot-configuring your cell in the midst of a battle. The audio slowdown as you zoom in is a nice touch. The physics are delightful, and the 'turrets' are easy enough to figure out the function of. Really polished and fun game!

THC - Tower Highflower Carriers by Noam Blei 2023-05-02T04:04:49Z

A fun little twist on the tower defense genre! It's satisfying to have a chunky bus finally break through the lines of enemy fire, delivering """flowers""" to the tower's residents... Nicely done!

What a lovely little game! I'm a big fan of Zachtronics games and this feels like it would fit perfectly in his catalog. The visuals were amazing--not only was the art perfect for the game, but the CRT filter and menus just dripped with visual polish.

Overall, an incredibly impressive effort and one of my favorites of the Jam so far--very nicely done!

Everything was going so well until I waited too long to feed one of my 30 furballs, and their screams will haunt my dreams until I die.

Would recommend.

GobEx by WeirdBitGames 2023-05-02T03:49:58Z

Great art and fun, polished presentation! My one complaint is that it requires a good bit of memorization--you can't have the menu and the game open at once, and that means having to memorize which numbers correspond to which shapes. It would have been a far, far better experience for me if the item options were in a bar below the game screen rather than something I had to toggle intrusively open.

Still, a very professional-looking and amusing game! Great work!

Boxtorio by JoshuaBounds 2023-05-02T04:10:04Z

After playing this game for a few minutes, my brain itches and I think I'm owed a degree in industrial engineering from the nearest accredited academic institution.

Love the visuals and smoothness of factory operations--it's a little more like a toy than a 'game' as far as I can tell, since there didn't seem to be a goal beyond those you set for yourself. Would be interesting to have levels and challenges for the player to solve with a limited amount of blocks to place!

This game makes my brain hurt (and it also makes the brain stored inside of my brain hurt and it also makes the brain stored inside of the brain inside of my brain hurt)

Very fun and novel framework set up here--especially given that it was all assembled in 24 hours. Nicely done!

SkyIsle TD by Inventivum Games 2023-10-04T04:48:52Z

A nice little first-person TD game! I enjoyed the overall visual aesthetic of the game; my one gripe is that the ramp up is very slow, and I never fully understood the effects of erosion. I assume it led to parts of the island crumbling away, but I never saw that happen on-screen despite making it pretty far into the game

MIROH by Wendel Scardua 2023-10-03T05:31:09Z

A great little arcade cabinet game! I enjoy the way that it forces you to split your attention between two tasks--I'm a decent tetris player and a decent maze-navigator, but when combined it turns out I suck at both.

I love the overall aesthetic choices and simple, yet clever concept--nicely done!

Packing by homeworld 2023-10-03T06:13:56Z

A really well made spooky game--I'm amazed by just how much is here, given how short the jam went for!

My one and only gripe is that the box handling is a little slow, making the packing puzzles a bit of a test of patience--but overall, a really well-done and unsettling little game!

Space Trucks by digital bacon 2023-10-03T05:12:32Z

A fun little game! I think the difficulty might be bugged, though, as the packages always seemed to spawn with the same timer, whether or not I sent out trucks full or empty.

With so much time between packages, it was basically impossible to lose, but it's an interesting game concept! I'd be a lot of fun if future versions featured truck beds of different shapes, and maybe packages whose shapes were more dynamic than just squares--L shapes orother tetronimos might make for some interesting packing puzzles

Outland Escape by Spike Studio 2023-10-02T23:26:12Z

A great and polished little roguelike/survivorlike/racinglike wasteland simulator.

Fun gameplay loop, though the frequent drives back to the left of the screen could get a little tedious as the game continued.

As soon as I understood the 'limited space' mechanic, it did add some interesting choices, deciding which items to pick up and which to steer around.

Nicely done, and very polished!

MY_MEMORY by jamdong15 2023-10-04T05:09:43Z

What a really interesting and novel concept for a game--not to mention stylishly done! I feel like this is what it feels like to have ADHD--I was flitting from one card to the next trying desperately to juggle what mattered and what didn't... glorious chaos. 5/5, would fail to prioritize my life again

Limited 2 Space by DSK 2023-10-03T05:39:00Z

A really interesting game mechanic! Controlling the robot using the action strip at top is novel--it almost reminds me of a zachtronics game--but overall, I found it to be hard to watch both the robot and the bar at the same time; I almost wish there were some way to get the instructions to follow the bot. The lack of platforming precision was also rough given how small some of the platforms were.

Still, major kudos for the interesting mechanic I've never seen before!

Ark of the Dogbear by doubley 2023-10-03T05:25:09Z

I think the game could use a little more explanation--if I hadn't played Stardew Valley, I might not have understood the fishing minigame. I also had a hard time wrapping my head around the packing portion.

Either way, the visuals look pretty!

Skyfallers by almageddon 2023-10-04T05:04:24Z

Nicely done!

Super polished and pretty game! I love mashing those helldivers-like input combos as enemies creep towards me... lots of great moments as I got slammed around or the dog fell asleep while I was in a corner, boxing me in to my doom.

Great summoning UI--really nicely made!

Photographic Memory by Adam Konig 2024-04-16T05:04:21Z

This was a super interesting and unique concept! The idea of having to flip through random, chaotic images and find the one that a person is vaguely alluding to is a really neat idea and although there aren't many stages, it was super satisfying to play through.

Everything from UI to sound to graphic style is crisp and polished. Very well done!

Angel's Inferno by TheNakedMartian 2024-04-16T01:54:48Z

What a delightfully high-production-value entry! The house and interactivity is all lovely. The idea of an evil Alexa destroying your house is a novel one, and there's something about the gameplay loop that reminds me of the chaos of an Overcooked game (in a great way). Very impressive and polished!

Summoner's Emporium by imwonderr 2024-04-16T03:11:41Z

What a gorgeous little game! Felt a bit like an idle game with the incremental progress and getting your slime economy going.

The art style is super appealing--it might just be the best-looking game I've played yet!

enChant by maximevincent 2024-04-16T02:28:31Z

Awesome little game! The arrow notation makes me flash back to battling terminids and automatons πŸ˜… My one gripe is that after restarting it seems to make me go through the tutorial again, which was a bit long/slow. Still, a fun core mechanic that might be even cooler if integrated into a larger game! It makes me think back to my days of playing DnD, where spells had both verbal and somatic components to them!

The In Between by Adam Gallina 2024-04-16T03:50:46Z

A fun twist on the summoning concept! I had a point where it seemed like flinging chicken into the yellow portal wasn't doing anything, and I couldn't quite figure out how to get any further than that.

Either way, this is a polished-looking game with great soundtrack that scratches the same itch as Factorio! I do love getting everything flinging precisely where it's supposed to go

Making a game where you can draw in 3d is certainly an interesting challenge... the drawing works as a cool tech demo, and the theming is great!

Hell's Company by Himiko Morena 2024-04-16T01:00:36Z

I loved the aesthetic of this one! Despite the description being super clear, I somehow missed the part about having to turn off the screen for the boss and kept losing... thought this game was impossible at first, haha.

Once I got the hang of it, I quite liked the flow of needing to rapidly click the close button when the boss was near! I do with that the gameplay moved faster, as it was a lot of idle waiting and no more than one order at a time. I played to 100 soul--maybe it eventually speeds up?

A fun little game! Would've loved to see more stages getting to use the hammer ability--it was fun to send the homing projectile out (and took me a bit to figure out I could even aim the thing). There just wasn't enough to hit with it!

The game has a great, polished look and feel--nicely done!

SquiggleMancer by ski11az 2024-04-16T02:44:38Z

Awesome and polished looking game! I enjoyed the magicka-esque spellcasting... there's something really fun about just mashing elements together and seeing what happens. I would've liked if the different elements were named so that their effects were easier to predict--but then again, the uncertainty and experimentation was half the fun!

Minor bug, but it looks like movement horizontally and movement vertically were handled independently of each other, which means that you can hold both up and right to move diagonally--but since your vertical and horizontal movements are combined, your overall speed is now faster! It was easy to outrun just about every enemy by walking diagonally!

Overall, great art, fun mechanics--nicely done!

Elemental Assembly by Mmm1008fm 2024-04-16T01:08:22Z

Lovely look to the art and map and UI!

The slow summoning of your golem has been mentioned by plenty of people, but with that fixed, it would be much more enjoyable to try out the combos until you break through. As it stands, the slow delay between choosing a config and seeing its results is a bit less than ideal / makes it tougher to want to sit through the trial-and-error to finally win the duel

Celestial Summoner by mollusk 2024-04-16T05:17:29Z

A great little survivors-like! I really enjoyed the glow/bloom effect; it made me think of the way an old CRT screen would light up next to brighter pixels. It was an enjoyable loop of trying out different ability/summon combos, though I think I found an unbeatable pair in witch+fireball. I stood in the center of a cloud of spidery, exploding death until it was clear I would literally never die.

Still, breaking systems is most of the fun of survivorslike games. Nicely done!

Absolutely stellar job in the art department! The music is incredible, and even the way it syncs up with the death animation is positively superb.

The visuals, the sound design, the simplistic gameplay, and the emotional weight behind every creative decision... such a charming final product!

Skyfall by Sevadusk 2024-10-08T05:39:44Z

A nice Tetris-adjacent little game! I like some of the design choices, like the ability to chain up a few explosives to clear out the board all at once. Moving across lanes became a bit slower than I'd like (which was almost necessary, given how many lanes there are).

Still, a nice little game!

AHHElevator by AlxJE 2024-10-08T04:05:55Z

An excellent little game! As another comment mentioned, the visuals feel a lot like the Aperture Science lil demos they released for Portal 2 (I don't remember if they also featured in-game?)

The elevator control by way of a rope was novel, and it first felt a bit like QWOP in battling against the control almost as much as the game itself. There were a few design choices that were really nice--the floor indicators by color on the elevator carriage was a nice touch.

Overall, a nicely polished game!

Espionausage: Wiener Takes All by IonBingo 2024-10-08T04:30:03Z

I really like the camera cutting away to the different view as the sausage friend rolls around the table! An amusing twist on a casino game--cheat, but don't get caught!

The title, Espionausage, is also firmly in the category of "so bad it's good" 🌭

LUCA by KaiWang 2024-10-08T04:12:48Z

A fun little game! For anyone who, like me, was dying repeatedly in the first few seconds, you have to press space and start spamming down energy-generating chloroplasts to survive the passive energy drain. A bit of tutorial might go a long way to help new players figure out their footing!

That being said, once I understood the game, the construction of my tiny organism and battling against the others in the world was a fun little gameplay loop--and the music is really fun, too!

I do wish a few organelles had numbers associated with them (so that I could see how much energy was generated, how much energy a given part might need, etc). Still, a fun time trying crazy designs and battling against other creatures!

Goober City by Will Liu 2024-10-08T04:22:12Z

A scathing thesis on the problems of human overpopulation (told through the thinly veiled metaphor of Gooberkind), Goober City remains a poignant deconstruction of our own earthly ambitions. We may construct cities, and we may fill them with goobers, but has anyone stopped to consider the consequences of our actions? What of all of the trampled, downtrodden, and overlooked that we leave behind in our wake, who have no recourse but to glom together and roll through our cities at 6fps?

Goober City is boldly unafraid to ask these questions--no matter how uncomfortable may be the truths it points us toward

Treasurefall by Local Minimum 2025-04-11T05:46:27Z

A really solid base you've built here! The core mechanics remind me a bit of Spellrogue or Dicey Dungeons, both of which are excellent games. The shop is an unexpected and nice touch, with the atypical dice giving this its own unique flavor above and beyond what those other mentioned games have available. It succeeds at drawing me in and makes me want to try again to finally get a broken set of dice.

Really great work with UI and animations--especially considering how brief these jams are!

Escape From GR0K Tower by paulhocker 2025-04-10T06:44:36Z

A nice little platformer game where you're racing against the clock!

The particle effects and music give the game a sense of momentum and urgency; the art is nice as well.

Overall, a fun little game!

DOWN INTO THE DEPTHS by red 2025-04-10T02:50:26Z

Wow, the level of polish across the board in this game is really, really impressive! It's nice to see a game that is narrow in scope, but developed to such a nice level of quality within the confines of that scope. The gameplay might be simplistic, but all of the elements here (art, animations, sound design, and even game *feel*) are really impressively rendered--and perhaps most importantly, it's fun to delve deeper and deeper in the cave!

Very impressive work!

Sinking of you by Re-Markable 2025-04-08T23:54:20Z

A cute little puzzle game as Mr. Fantastic prepares for date night! Very polished visually with a lot of effort expended in presentation--you don't often see voice acting in jam games!

Some of the puzzle mechanics are clever, but I do wish they'd been harder to solve. I'd also say that, while the dialogue was endearing, by the tenth consecutive "whoopsies dropped it again" I was hoping for a 'skip' button so that I could get back to the puzzle solving.

Profundo by Marcos Tulio Cavalcante 2025-04-08T21:21:20Z

A nice little start of a game--reminds me of the sort of game that would go great in an arcade cabinet. My one and only gripe is that things moved a little too slowly early on--speeding everything up and making the game go on for longer might've made things even more enjoyable.

Nicely done!

Deep Blue by poboy 2025-04-10T04:23:10Z

What an excellent piece of storytelling!

It's a joy to see a game (really, more a narrative experience) where all of the pieces fit together so nicely. The art, sound, and story all really complement the mood; the separate little mechanics (the morse, the chess) have great thematic interplay; and the narrative contributes to a sense of pathos that really makes this game stand out from the others I've played in this jam.

I've played plenty of games this jam made by entire teams of people that feel substantially less 'complete'--this one is all the more impressive being a one-man effort.

I expect to see this game finish very high in the rankings!

Dark Depths by buckmeister 2025-04-11T05:59:50Z

What an awesome little atmospheric horror game! Big Subnautica vibes mixed with something eldritch and horror-adjacent (not that Subnautica wasn't occasionally those things, too).

The sonar animation was great, the environment was suitably spooky and felt large. Really really impressive effort--especially given how brief the jam period was!

Depthshift by Snotax 2025-04-11T05:33:54Z

Wow, this game was a breath of fresh air! I haven't seen any other games that took the theme in this same direction. While it's true, it hurts your eyes after a time (it feels like I've lost my glasses, haha) it's still remarkable that you were able to build a game around such an unconventional mechanic--I've never seen any games quite like this one!

The music is great, the art direction is excellent (building to a really specific, interesting vibe)--overall, a great little puzzly platformer with a memorable core mechanic!

Used To Be by Heiden.BZR 2025-04-08T21:16:18Z

What an awesome little slice of moody storytelling! It reminded me of a hybrid between Control, some Escher-like drawings, and a moody puzzle game.

The art direction is immaculate given the jam time constraints. The post-processing might be a little heavy (my laptop was sweatingggg just to play this game) but it also looks great.

The rotation got a little bit glitchy, but I was able to avoid clipping out of maps on rotation if I just jumped before pressing the rotate key.

Awesome work!

Wow, this feels like an arcade cabinet game (in a good way). Really well done on all fronts: the visuals are nice, the controls feel smooth, the music and sound complement the retro feel--the whole package has all of its elements nicely aligned to the same sharp vision.

Really great game here!

Ludum Dare 57 Depth Of A Phrase by Beebster Games 2025-04-08T07:33:09Z

Fifty Floors of Flavor by Hulya 2025-04-10T06:38:00Z

Nicely done!

rumination by Zeq 2025-04-10T04:34:41Z

Whoa, this was impactful!

Sometimes I find myself categorizing games as being something separate from art--more like a toy, as though it were meant to provide nothing more than idle diversion or amusement.

Every now and again, I'm reminded that games can also be an excellent medium for emotional expression--as artistically rich as any capital-A "Art" can be.

There's deep pathos in here; as you sink and read the ruminations, the whole package--sound, the animation, the art--all proves a very effective means to convey both mood and mindset. I might not have a lot of personal connection to the thoughts expressed by the sinking character, but I was still very stirred by this short experience--the empathetic bridge formed by this game was strong enough to trigger some deep introspection in myself.

Mariana's Secret by Tirtstan 2025-04-10T06:16:17Z

A really great visual style!

The pixel art is gorgeous for the enemies and environment both; as others have said, adding in some sound would really elevate the experience, but it's a fun little exploration game as it is!

I wasn't sure how to defeat the demon in the deep (my gun didn't seem to do anything) so it just sorta chased me around for a while. Hope to one day be able to make some kalamari out of him

Into the depths by Perovic2018 2025-04-10T06:25:21Z

An excellent little horror game with an awesome visual style!

The battery charge on the light running out is an effective mechanic for driving up the fear factor--and the attacks from the enemy are satisfyingly spooky little jump scares. Overall, the feelings of exploring dark caves chased by something frightening reminded me of the Forest (in a good way).

Nicely done!

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-10T03:32:26Z

This game does a great job of cultivating an uncomfortable vibe--the art and sound all work well together.

The gameplay itself is a bit unforgiving--the maze launches you back to the start at the slightest walltouch, and every time your sanity runs out, you're thrown all the way back to the beginning (needing to advance through the dialog cut-scene again). I know death/failure needs to have some sort of penalty, but a slightly more forgiving system might reduce player friction!

Either way, nicely done as a cool, moody piece of work

I found a tunnel that allowed me to swim off of the tilemap... not sure if that was intended. Still, a very charming and quaint game!

Pumpkin Bumpkin by automatonvx 2025-10-07T20:30:19Z

I agree with what @Nash said here... the game looks solid and has a great retro feel, but death causing a full restart (combined with your slow move speed) means that you're frequently waiting for the little guy to just finish climbing a ladder. Faster move speeds would do a lot to make the game feel less punishing! Nicely done, though, on evoking that old-school vibe

this is a really fun little vacation to Paris! I particularly enjoyed the creativity in the little puzzles to solve (and as another piece of bread myself, I have to applaud the representation)

The Key Keeper by megalukes 2025-10-08T02:33:52Z

What an awesomely retro platformer! The visual styling was great, especially the use of color accents. Even the death effects providing a flash of color was an inspired choice!

I agree with the other commenter that the camera shake was a bit excessively done: it can be great to emphasize a hard hit, but it probably shouldn't shake so high every single time the player jumped (and especially not if you were jumping to a high ledge, which means you're landing with almost no speed). Having it scale with the speed of impact could've made the shake feel much more natural (and also further emphasized hard landings!).

Still, nicely done--great work on the art, the sound, and the platforming feel!

Lil'Jones 2: The Collector's Tomb by SolidHinken 2025-10-08T04:31:11Z

A fun base for a game to be built on! As others have said, there is nothing about the design preventing a player from grabbing a single item and immediately ending the day to cache its value--rewarding the player for filling the satchel could keep them running until the inventory is full.

Still, I enjoyed the core systems here and I'd bet a fun inventory-management game could be built on top of this!

What's Left to Keep? by Foursay 2025-10-07T04:05:12Z

What an awesomely atmospheric experience! I loved the graphics and unified feel of the system, and the mouse sounds were very satisfying (and the music was lovely, too).

Interesting nuggets to think about in the narrative exchange. Nice work!

Catorus by TopperVideoGames 2025-10-07T04:40:18Z

and now I am become geodesic, explorer of worlds...

I love the planet wrap-around movement, but the turn radius is a bit frustratingly wide... you see so much that you can't actually reach, nor can you back up to help maneuver into getting it :(

wormy boy should put some of that space dust towards a better turn radius

Trashure King Legend by JustusPan 2025-10-07T06:22:25Z

I sure do enjoy eating fresh garbage straight out of the can :)

An interesting system you've built here!

My Grimoire! by SYPIAC 2025-10-07T03:55:20Z

I enjoyed skating magical half-pipes at the end! Think I almost managed to escape the half-pipes, but gravity is a fickle mistress

A Familiar Task by Codeman1010 2025-10-07T05:57:28Z

not to be yet another bearer of bad news, but while the web build seems to be properly set up and hosting, it plays in such a small window that makes it almost impossible to enjoy the game (as well as cutting off major portions of the frame... some of the loading logo is cut off). There also doesn't seem to be a full-screen button to expand the window beyond the 640x360px window it seems to be playing in

WYP by DGo 2025-10-07T05:50:21Z

What an awesome and trippy art style! I really enjoyed the visuals and environment design here... there was even a good amount of interactivity! For example, I got turned around and drove back to the spawn, and my little cube guy told me that I was going the wrong way. Small details like that really add up!

Guard the Forest by Phobos 2025-10-08T04:52:59Z

Super eerie in the best sort of way! I loved the visual aesthetic and atmosphere... I'm usually good with horror games, but something about the crunched graphics and hostile color palette gets under your skin, and then when you see the silhouettes, it really feels frightening.

I do wish there had been a little more to the development over the several days--I wanted to know what happens next!

Orcs Killed My Dog by ThatmanRobin 2025-10-07T06:09:52Z

The Garbage-Man Of New Trash City by kenevil1 2025-10-07T04:22:58Z

This is an amazingly unhinged unholy fusion of Crazy Taxi and a roguelike trash collector?

Absolutely love the dialog and voice acting + character art. this game's energy and vibe are really memorable!

Ended with 485 as my best run

Interstellar Collector by Baluj 2025-10-07T20:23:26Z

This is such a fun and unique concept for a collect-a-thon! I'd love to see a version of this game more fully fleshed out... like a little alien-abduction version of No Man's Sky. Very calming vibes, flying around the galaxy and stealing little guys.

Those people living on the tiny moon of one of the planets were tricky to find (and alas, once I wondered if there might be tiny fellas living on the sun, too, I instead discovered my ship is not entirely fireproof... Outer Wilds flashbacks there)

PEPATE by Ueighti 2025-10-08T03:11:13Z

This is a fun spin on RPS with a roguelite twist!

I will say that the power where 3 papers = 3 health is entirely broken... if you play only 3 papers from then on, you literally can't lose. Worst case is you lose all three clashes, which is -3 health, but then you get 3 back. If any of the fights go your way, you slowly win the war of attrition.

Fun game regardless!

Collect O/R by loco 2025-10-07T04:34:44Z

finally, a way to make ransom notes for my family even after my mom took away my scissors :)

Really fun idea and very well executed. There's a great layer of polish over the game, even if its loop is a bit atypical. The sound design is satisfying, too.

Very nicely done, and a very unique entry!

Gun swap game by Graeme Norris 2025-10-07T05:45:20Z

not sure if there were some controls that aren't listed, but I couldn't figure out how to shoot the gun, which meant I was playing in pacifist mode (just running around trying to dodge everything).

Seems like it could be a fun base if it were to work!

The Black Stone by Endejck 2025-10-07T20:13:31Z

Visually, the game looks very nice! However, even though I can select English as a language, it seems that everything is simply rendering "no translation yet".

Really compelling visuals, though I unfortunately couldn't really understand the game itself!

Hoarding Keys by TimeLost 2025-10-07T20:18:17Z

a nice little platformer collectathon base!

There was a strange bug for me on both the LD and Itch versions where my mouse was always displaying, and when I moved my mouse out of the window or to the edge of my screen, I was no longer able to turn my view... in a weird way, managing my rotation almost added another layer of challenge to the game, haha.

The little key monster was a fun idea, though he didn't seem to be very dangerous. The art is neat and distinctive, too! I do wish there were slightly more clarity what was going on in the top left corner with the two different keys and the one field that could display things like 5/3 keys.

Still, a very easy to play and pleasant little game!

Applause Collector by esh_k 2025-10-08T04:06:23Z

I liked the novelty here--flipping masks and firing the correct emotion at people is an interesting twist on the top-down shooter formula. Although I wish it were easier to tell the two different emotions apart on the faces of people marching towards me, I guess it might well have been intentional, making those reflex emotion-shootings all the more risky.

Nicely done!

Katamari Survivors by zexurge 2025-10-07T05:35:10Z

fun mood, and a great callback to one of my favorite childhood games!

Chicken Debt Master by MJ12 2025-10-08T03:28:55Z

I love how hilarious this game is from the very core of its design all the way up to the small details like the chicken's ridiculous cowboy hat.

I got all 10, allowing me to finally live out my anti-stardew dream of closing down a peaceful american city with only the power of anti-consumer financial practices :)

Better Hurry Up by Iriska 2025-10-07T20:39:19Z

please put a horror warning on this game... there I was, just opening cans and eating shrimp, when suddenly I saw a 😱😨😩pickleπŸ˜±πŸ˜¨πŸ’€ this was so shocking to my catlike sensibilities that my heart rate still hasn't returned to baseline...

(lovely game and artstyle... the sound plus the art really comes together to make something that feels special!)

SKYHAND by GlassMoonGames 2025-10-07T04:09:17Z

This was just the game to play right after watching the movie Nope for the first time... now I get to live out my alien-abduction dreams (military leave me alone)

Stargazer by ProtoHere 2025-10-08T04:37:45Z

A fun concept and a very zen single-player experience... hunting for the patterns in the chaos is a satisfying game loop. Nicely done!

Beelines by raysplaceinspace 2025-10-07T05:20:45Z

I absolutely love the visuals in this game--the glowing lines are so pleasant to look at!

Fun optimization puzzle, too... traveling salesbee problem. Super interesting and unique take on the theme... nicely done!

1m39 ended up my best run, but I could probably (maybe?) improve if I tooled at it a few more runs

Where Did I Put My Tools? by Ottoson 2025-10-07T20:10:56Z

A fun base, but I do wish the sprint were a tiny bit faster--after crossing that bridge, I started getting trauma flashbacks to the end stages of Chained Together, haha.

the only thing this game is missing is a keybind that allows me to complain to OSHA for unsafe wrecking ball practices on a jobsite

Collector Clash by toastercosplay 2025-10-07T04:43:08Z

I left the web build loading for like 10 minutes, and still nothing on my machine :(

For your info, I'm running on Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

LD59 — Signal

Pharos by Chaseplays 2026-04-21T02:57:35Z

I loved the lighthouse-directing mechanic--the way that you pilot the ships by light is a fun take on both the theme and novel way to handle 3/4-view movement input.

I got some Dredge vibes from the enemies and atmosphere, but the music and rain sfx made it significantly more calming... really interesting and unique vibes!

Overall, nicely done

Please Press Button by shadow64 2026-04-21T17:55:25Z

there may be disasters and multi-car pileups out there in the world, but at least I get to enjoy this evening's delight: a nice slice of pie.

Cool typography system, and the music track was catchy!

Dread Frequency by Roitchie 2026-04-21T18:32:43Z

Woah, this was a really cool space horror game!! I'm shocked this has gotten so little attention... make sure your team is rating and reviewing other games to get karma--that will drive other players to your game, and it certainly deserves lots of players and praise both!

The enemy is spooky, the dialog-based encounters are really cool design, the art is ominous and unsettling, and that credits track had me bopping my head along with its fanfare. I don't know why I abandoned my friend on that spaceship, he seemed nice to me and only wanted to talk :(

Really awesome job from your team--this game is far more polished and complete a package than most of the rest I've played!

Signal Scrubber by Steven Garberg 2026-04-21T02:49:21Z

A really neat atmospheric experience! Loved the way the art (audio and visuals) all complement each other--felt really cohesive, art-direction-wise. I want to believe πŸ›ΈπŸ›ΈπŸ›Έ

Glory to YSS! by GreenRadiation 2026-04-21T04:20:31Z

Ultimate glory to YSS! The artstyle and audio and voice acting and all of the associated art direction were as coherent and well-directed as the YSS engine of state itself. The Founders will smile upon your generation. I particularly enjoyed the character-building challenges that I faced as a YSS honorable communication monitoring technician, but I did not let those challenges get in the way of manifesting the greatest glory to the empire.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must listen to the anthem for the 19th time today.

Time is Honey by gryxitl 2026-04-21T02:08:04Z

Cute game! You might just be the first entry in the switchboard genre of videogames... those wire physics are immaculate. I liked the art's vibe and fun music. Very nicely done overall!

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-21T02:42:28Z

@mostlikely the kitchen gets thoroughly borked so often that we added a reset button on R--pressing it should restore things to the level's start!

Guiding Signal by Kevin Meissner 2026-04-21T18:18:03Z

What a cute game! Everything here works together so well: the art style is charming and visually appealing; the sea wave soundscape is calming, and the particle effects in the tower areas of effect are cool. It's such a great little gameplay loop, leaving signals and watching your little ships go... the only thing I wanted was maybe a way to fast-forward ahead when I finally have my setup that I like.

Really fun stuff!

Combo Cooker by WobbleBlocks 2026-04-21T03:53:30Z

A very novel fusion of deckbuilding and cooking minigame... it was amusing to have to open up the massive flowchart of foods like some ancient alchemist trying to chart recipes across its various stages. I think there might've been something wrong with the meatloaf recipe--I was feeding in two burgers and though the merge button appeared, it wasn't getting me my Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. Maybe it was because I had some upgraded meats? Not sure...

I also bought that cursed relic and I don't know what it did beyond applying 5 points of psychic damage to my irl brain.

Fun game overall! I'm always a sucker for deckbuilding games

TranscendAnts by JudJudson 2026-04-21T01:59:04Z

What a fun game concept! I always enjoyed having an ant farm as a kid, so I greatly enjoyed watching the ants run about following the trails I've charted... the world also has that same sort of whimsical feeling of miniature that makes me enjoy games like Grounded. Nicely done!

Hooked by echerry 2026-04-21T02:39:49Z

What a seriously awesome and atmospheric game! I'm reminded of Dredge but in the best of ways: especially since you expanded upon that formula with the adjacency bonuses and modifiers on the individual fish. It's genuinely exciting to be pushing your luck fishing after a 6-star as the skies are darkening and the acid rain is coming down hard, after you've lost your last umbrella and precious hitpoints are ticking away... super memorable experience you've created here! Excellent work

A L P H A by eXTeeGi 2026-04-21T03:30:43Z

Awesome atmosphere to this one! I really enjoyed how the environment gradually got more and more scary as you solved more of the cipher. Great work on the vibe of this game!

I started the game in advanced mode and immediately (I mean immediately) gave up. I am not cut out for that sort of thing.

Nice job!

Square Hole by Kazuren 2026-04-21T18:54:59Z

Federal Bureau of Dance by drainkid 2026-04-21T03:11:00Z

Love the art and music--how was I going to pass up on a title with a thumbnail featuring a government agent with cat-ear headphones?

This game appeals to Lucio mains who crave the added layer of simultaneously mixing their music mid battle

Per Signum by apoly 2026-04-21T05:33:01Z

This was a really fun little territory control game! I found the core loop of placing down nodes to take land from the enemies a fun one. I also liked the card-based queue of actions, but I'm generally a sucker for deckbuilding games. Very nicely done, and I'd love to see something like this extended with more enemy types, the ability to draft certain cards into your deck, and all of that jazz.

Lots of fun--I played it until I cleared the map!

Funnel World by andriybyelikov 2026-04-21T04:48:38Z

I don't know if I reached the moon, but I did reach the sky above the room of white. The review I leave for this game cannot be read, but if you look at it, it will pull you toward it?

Squeaking For Love by Crak 2026-04-21T02:17:23Z

Going to retire to the woods with my frog-squirrel children....

This game's vibe is indescribable, but whatever axis it is that it exists on, it's about an 11/10 in that direction. My neighbors may think I've lost my mind, but their judgment is nothing against the love of my squowls (and my heart is forever pining for the jeep who got away)

EDIT: it even has a beautifully performed credits song?? GOTY 2026

Why, Fye!? by PokeyDem 2026-04-21T03:38:22Z

This is a novel puzzle game--I've never quite seen a puzzle based on wifi signals before! It reminds me just a little bit of some of the laser puzzles in Talos Principle. I'd love to be able to re-direct what is sending to which object in its range, and some of the controls were difficult on my system. I like the art style and aesthetic of the game!

Mixed Signals (using DOD) by GideonGriebenow 2026-04-21T18:51:36Z

I agree 100% with @vilumpulump... that's the direction I thought this was going, and it'd be really cool to try to automate certain routines on the machines! Especially if the order that the balls were summoned had some element of predictability (or if you had the ability to 'scan' an incoming ball and branch through instructions). Very neat foundation!
