I think it's been pointed out already, but there's a bug where if you rotate the ship immediately after ending a boost, your ship starts accelerating really fast in a different direction (see top left):
Seems like something to do with how it decelerates from the boost?
In any case, I like your entry. I'm a big fan of games with this style of spaceship controls (Gravitar probably being my favorite), so this scratched that itch. That said, I agree with the feedback so far that the ship is a little hard to control. I think it could be good if tethering actually physically anchored the ship, without needing to maintain heading towards it (maybe at the cost of requiring the ship to get closer). This could give the player a bit of a rest from micro-adjusting the ship. If that makes the game too easy, maybe traversal between job sites could be more challenging? Going from place to place is a bit bland in the current state... asteroid obstacles could be a nice addition, for instance.
Being forced to restart the game upon failure is a little punishing, but I figure this wasn't a deliberate choice. Implementing functioning save states is way harder than just sending the player back to the menu, so I imagine you just ran out of time. Still, worth noting! It'd be cool if restarts were on a per-mission basis.
The dialogue + sprites were all very fun! I love the characterization of the player robot as super amicable and "okie dokie", and it seems really fitting. Being old tech, I like to imagine it's an in-universe product of a time where artificial intelligence was very eager, but perhaps not so capable. The spinning spaceship guy also got a laugh out of me, lol. Overall, great work :)
This is one of the most innovative entries I've seen, as well as my favorite use of the theme. I only realized you had actually implemented a functioning language when I accidentally typed `if other.type == player:` in `BULLET_PLAYER` and started hitting myself with my own bullets, lol. I'm really curious to see how game breaking this can get, but I stayed clean for my first playthrough. And again, really clever use of theme... Stack Overflow is certainly "old tech" at this point.
I think that the gameplay is good, but it's hard for me to give neutral feedback. Personally, I had some fun finding the bugs without posting to Stack Overflow (once I realized that was allowed). But for non-programmers, I'm not sure the loop of experiencing bugs, posting to stack overflow, and following the instructions would have been as good of a time. Granted, this is clearly a game directed at people with at least some programming knowledge, so maybe that's not a big deal? In any case, I had a lot of fun, and now I want to play through again to see what kind of game-breaking shenanigans are possible. Great entry :)
I did a rhythm game as well, and frankly your entry puts mine to shame 😅. The rhythm part itself is really well designed. I like the very clear labeling of the left and right notes, and the default difficulty is generous enough to be enjoyable but not *too* easy. The music was pretty great. The goblin dancing in the middle (which somehow kills god) tied it all together. Overall, no notes, this was great.
I like the voxel-y look and the game definitely has the simple 3D raylib vibe which I love. The audio was quite funny. The mouse sensitivity was a bit too high for me, but it wasn't a big deal and I could play around it. I liked the skill progression, but I felt that the process of obtaining loot wasn't quite engaging enough to make it worth it. It would be cool if that process was either a bit more streamlined (if it's going for more of a cookie clicker feel) or a bit more skillful (personally I'd prefer this).
It was very tough at first, but once I got the hang of managing all three trains, it felt like the levels were a bit too easy. It seemed like every level was boiling down to: 1. laser rock, 2. stop the train. It would've been cool to have the trains start to overlap each other's routes (it looks like the tracks overlap, but I never actually had it happen in-game). Still, I very much like the concept. Rendering the three views simultaneously was really cool, and with a lengthier tutorial + slower difficulty ramping it could be a fun challenge while not being too difficult.
This was super fun! I love hard games, and this one absolutely wiped the floor with me in terms of difficulty 😅. But I did beat Level 4! I'm a bit too tired at the moment to try out infinite mode, but I'm gonna come back later and try to beat your time >:)
The music was quite good and quite an earworm. Which is very impressive for a reasonably small loop, I must say! I think the graphics are pretty spot-on as well. The icons are super recognizable, as well as all the effects, so unfortunately I can't blame my lack of skill on not being able to tell them apart...
Usually this is the part of my feedback where I'd leave a critique but tbh I have nothing. This is awesome. Maaaaaybe one could say it's too hard but frankly I think it's perfect. We need more hard games in the world! Love this entry, great stuff :)
I really liked this game! The gameplay is simple, but the sound effects and little animations make the shooting super satisfying. It felt great to rack up huge combos! All of the little challenges (being accurate, swapping weapons, identifying creatures you can't shoot, handling the aggressive ones, etc.) blended really nicely together to make it challenging as well.
I really like the look of the game. The simple 2D sprites against the detailed 3D rendered background is a lovely contrast (and great for gameplay too). The music was quite funky... good funky or bad funky? I'm not sure, which I think is a good thing 🙃.
~~I wish I could've played this more, but I kept experiencing a bug with the wolves where one would seemingly spawn offscreen. I couldn't shoot it, so I'd just slowly die. I experienced this on every level I tried except for the first one (of course) and, for some reason, the LSD on Animals level?? The wolf came from the same place every time in that one.~~
Overall, amazing entry, I love it :) ~~Ping me if you get the wolf bug fixed! I'd like to play the rest of the levels.~~
EDIT: striking some of the above because I'm realizing I'm a dumbass. I wasn't moving the camera... 🙃 I'll retry and come back with updated feedback.
I don't usually expect much from the gameplay itself for games like these (the horror is usually the engaging part), but I will say that the instructions were a bit hard to follow. The syringe made sense, but I couldn't find the recycling machine at first, and it took me a bit to realize I was consuming limbs with it. Additionally, when he said to "take command" at the end of the game, I didn't realize right away that I was supposed to take his place... I kept trying to get back into the pod (it turns out you can lock yourself in the pod if you deposit the recycling machine from inside, haha). I blame that on myself because it seems pretty obvious in hindsight that the person we operate on is the one "in command". But the recycling machine segment was still pretty tricky.
The game looks and sounds amazing, which is of course very important for a good psych horror. I'm amazed at the level of sound design your team was able to achieve in 3 days! I could easily see it being in a full released, no changes needed. The graphics are great as well, but I'm more of a music and sound guy, so that stuck out to me in particular.
Overall, this was great. Incredible mood and atmosphere, especially for a jam.
After five minutes of trying, I did not know what to do with the smoking black cube and did not want to use *all* the hints, so I just opened the first one. Then I thought "maybe closing the game mid-run is how you corrupt it?" So I did... that was a mistake. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to go through again, but I think I did most of the game before I closed it.
I really like the look of the game! It feels a bit like being inside a computer, which seems like the intention. The music and sound effects were also good, though it stopped looping in the second section of the game (which was unfortunate 🙁) but fixed itself in the third.
!> I think perhaps some of the features could have been somewhat better explained. It took me a minute to figure out that the memory card was a respawn point, and I never figured out the smoking black cube. But for the most part, things were well presented.
!> Also, I did manage to access the secret(?) room using the giant cube, but I couldn't find anything in there :(
The AR mechanic was really cool! Getting something like this working in 3 days, solo, is super impressive. I was sad that there weren't more levels, but I can sorta see why given the complexity (consider it a compliment in any case).
I really liked the pixel art! The 3D assets were good, but the 2D stuff definitely stood out.
One thing I'll say is that I had a hard time working out whether the Z position of the witch was in line with the enemies, especially the floating ones. There were a few times I tried hitting a floating enemy only to realize that I was a little off. It also made it difficult to tell how close I was to falling off the edge of an object, especially a real-world one. I wish I had a good suggestion for an improvement... the existing drop shadow *should* have worked, and I'm not sure why it didn't. It honestly could just be a me thing.
This was fun! Unfortunately I did not finish... I got restarted four times, and by the fourth I was a bit too demoralized to go again. My personal opinion here is that either less things should kill you, or there should be checkpoints. The fun part of this game for me was exploring the map and solving puzzles. Being restarted meant rehashing areas I'd already seen and puzzles I'd already solved, which took away from the fun.
This might've just been me, but I had a hard time figuring out what to do with the enemies? I had the shotgun icon and pressing it played a punch animation (as did typing "hit"), but it didn't seem like it was doing any damage and I died. Not sure if I was doing the wrong thing.
I actually had an easy time with the commands. I don't think there was a single instance where I couldn't figure one out. I guess some other commenters seemed to have problems; maybe this is an issue with different dialects of English? Not sure.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with it! I think the fact that I continued playing after three restarts is definitely a compliment. I thought the voice acting was funny, especially for mistyped commands, lol. And the visuals were quite charming! This is a good submission :)
This was so much fun! I mentioned on the discord that I thought the visual style was great, but want to reaffirm that here: the color palette works super well. I adore the contrast of the flame against the black and white tower, but it also helps the other game elements be easily identifiable, too. The visual effects for the fire are spectacular as well.
The gameplay was super frustrating, which I fucking love. I am a huge Getting Over It fan, so maybe that explains it. The important thing about frustrating games is that they feel fair, and for the most part it did feel like it was my fault when the torch went out. There were a few points where it felt like it was extremely difficult to avoid (Koolruz's awesome writeup mentions some), but the levels were small and self-contained enough that I wasn't too frustrated by having to go back through them again.
Under most circumstances I'd be sad that a game doesn't have music, but the ambient fire crackling was perfect. The rest of the sound design was quite satisfying too, with special emphasis on the torch sounds.
I think I experienced a unique satisfaction at the game's ending, because for whatever reason I chose not to read the instructions on this page first. I went into it with zero context for the story, and when I saw the guy attacking the door I just thought "oh cool, maybe we'll encounter this guy later." Then I completely forgot until I got to the end and realized "OHHH, this is a signal tower!!" and that we were warning about the attacker in the beginning. Though the general satisfaction of seeing all the towers light up in the mountains was shared by everyone, I'm sure.
Overall, this is an awesome entry. It would be so much fun to speedrun (I really should rate some other games, but...)
Holy shit dude. The story of this game is extremely well put together, especially for a game jam. Gonna venture into spoiler territory here...
!> Personally I thought the story was very well told, and I wasn't confused at any point. The ending hit quite hard (and I understood it wasn't a bug). I think it's very impressive how much depth you were able to give Flurry and Melody in such a short game. It's tough to make a player feel bad for the loss of a character they haven't known for very long, but shit, you pulled it off twice.
!> I thought the puzzle with the login was very well done, and the puzzle with the art museum was also quite clever. It was sort of a facepalm moment (at myself) when I remembered that the necklace in the shop had shapes on it. It's tough to do deduction puzzles that feel rewarding while also not being overly challenging, but I think you hit the nail on the head with all of them.
!> The nostalgia was great. I was never huge into virtual pet games in particular, but the chat logs were still very reminiscent of internet conversations I had as a kid, and the art style reminds me of the Flash days.
Overall, spectacular entry. I was thoroughly engaged throughout, and honestly I want to play it again to try out doing certain things differently (what if I keep the star on Flurry? what if I solve some of the puzzles earlier than I should be able to? different dialogue options? etc) which is about as high of a compliment as one can give to a game :)
Had a blast in the Tetris portion! I'm a bit of a Tetris fan and it was both fun and weird to intentionally try to get as many rows high as possible, lol. The rest of the gameplay was generally good, and reminded me a little bit of IWBTG (especially at the end with the surprise Pacman from the left, lol). Cool entry!
I was a little skeptical of the burning vines mechanic at first, but it grew on me (no pun intended) once it started involving platforming and multitasking. I really loved the look of the game as well. The lighting and textures made it feel like I was really in a temple, while the general look made it feel a little bit like Cruelty Squad in the sense of being low-poly, but well-animated and very juicy. Had a bit of a nostalgic feel to it.
It's not very on-theme as far as I can tell. I gave it half a star for just generally having an "old" feel. This didn't impact my other ratings (and who cares about theme anyway?), but thought I'd mention it just in case I missed something obvious that fits the theme.
Lastly, I was having some issues with the game not always pausing when the window lost focus (I played on the web build in Firefox). This didn't impact my ratings, but I thought you might want to know that if you continue working on it.
The gameplay is simple and fun. The difficulty curve is a little off... it's very difficult in the beginning, but once you get friends + groups it gets a little too easy. The little bubbles that float up after shooting a spam post were quite difficult to handle at first without backup from friends. Spending too much time shooting at them, even with perfect aim, causes the posts underneath to advance too far, so I had to ignore them and take a lot of wall damage.
I like the overall concept, and how it uses the theme! Good entry :)
Wow, vibes on this game are absolutely immaculate. Was very scared at first, and even despite facing the jumpscares a few times it remained pretty scary throughout. Visuals are excellent, sound design is excellent. The gameplay was generally pretty solid, and I felt the camera mechanic was enjoyable (it felt fair to get caught, as it was always from lack of caution).
!> My one complaint is that at times it felt a little unfair to be attacked by the creature while dialing a number on the phone... it would've been nice if the creature leaves you alone in that time. I suppose it was probably possible to leave the phone for a second and photograph the creature, but that makes it difficult to remember which part of the number you were typing, and it's ambiguous whether that restarts the dialing process or not. And the creature would seem to come back pretty quick after being photographed anyway, so I'm not sure that would've worked regardless...
Overall this was an incredible game! It'd already be impressive as a full release, so the fact that this is a jam game is even crazier.
Loved the music! The text-based parts were overall enjoyable, and I usually gravitated towards the "question mark" events just because I looked forward to the encounters. That said, the gameplay for the digging parts was a little lacking, as it felt that I usually could not hit every settlement and it felt like there was no strategy to improve my gains there. Mostly just point and click. Though I did especially love the music in those parts! Good stuff :)
In any case, had a blast with this one. The graphics are spot on, the SFX were good, the gameplay was quite engaging and had me both planning routes ahead of time and making split-second decisions to jump over ghosts that made me feel like I was way more awesome at the game than I probably was. It could've used some music, but if adding music would've cost the game some levels, then I'd rather not trade that because the levels were super fun. Excellent game!
I enjoyed the rewind mechanic, even if perhaps it was not super incentivized. It felt good to corral the enemies onto the line and then get a bunch of them at once with good timing. That alone was incentive enough to keep doing it, rather than just avoid them. That being said, it would be cool if it were more rewarding. Decent game!
Everything about this was great! The voicelines were very funny (also were they improvised?? if so that makes them funnier). Had a lot of fun playing this on call with my friend and laughing at the silly articles (unfortunately did not screenshot any of them so I can't share 😢). Excellent stuff!
I loved the little guy!! Super fun game, reminds me a bit of Pony Island which I love. Others have mentioned the wall jumping part and I will also volunteer myself to the Hall of Shame for getting stuck there as well... but I figured it out eventually 🙃. It would be cool to see updates to this!
I think this is my favorite one I've played so far! The music was a vibe. The visuals were goofy but charming. My one gripe is that I didn't end up using the stun mechanic at all. I found it really hard to use because the enemies attack with melee almost immediately upon closing in on them, and it didn't feel rewarding enough to only stun them. But even then, the gameplay was overall quite fun! Super good stuff.
I liked the aesthetic and I thought the mood was good. I unfortunately could not finish as I could only find two of the disks... I went in circles for a while, but could not spot it. But the player movement felt really smooth, and overall it was pretty good!
I LOVED the music and the overall vibes, definitely feeling the aesthetic you were going for. One thing it is unfortunately missing is more sound... if nothing else, it would've been good to give the cars an engine sound. The monotonic whir of a car engine in the background would have really tied the chill vibes together. But overall, nice work! Wish I had a friend to play this with... 😔
This was a lot of fun! It's always great when a game shows you how it works without needing a full tutorial. The visuals were good, and overall the "busy office" vibe was done well. All the SFX fit in nicely.
My only complaint would probably be that splitting the game into days, with the time card in between, sorta gets in the way of the actual gameplay. I think it would've been more interesting to have it just be infinite, with call frequency picking up as you go.
Also, I accidentally dropped one of my pegs, and it fell through the table and I couldn't get it back 😔 so I ended up losing pretty early lol. But overall a lot of fun.
Great game! The chiptune music was really well made. The gameplay was interesting, but definitely a little hard to grasp. I could see it working really well as a longer game that eases into the mechanics more gradually. The visuals were good too, and overall everything was really cohesive. Nice work!

46 deaths! That seems not bad, maybe...?

In any case, had a blast with this one. The graphics are spot on, the SFX were good, the gameplay was quite engaging and had me both planning routes ahead of time and making split-second decisions to jump over ghosts that made me feel like I was way more awesome at the game than I probably was. It could've used some music, but if adding music would've cost the game some levels, then I'd rather not trade that because the levels were super fun. Excellent game!

I liked the music! The churchlike choir seemed to really fit in with the vibe you were going for. Nice entry!
REWIND RAMPAGE by YEZISOFT 2026-10-22T02:14:38Z ♥ 1

XENOCHRON by EricNS 2026-10-21T02:08:41Z ♥ 1
I think this is my favorite one I've played so far! The music was a vibe. The visuals were goofy but charming. My one gripe is that I didn't end up using the stun mechanic at all. I found it really hard to use because the enemies attack with melee almost immediately upon closing in on them, and it didn't feel rewarding enough to only stun them. But even then, the gameplay was overall quite fun! Super good stuff.
Overtime by Scroomie 2026-10-21T01:43:38Z ♥ 1
I liked the aesthetic and I thought the mood was good. I unfortunately could not finish as I could only find two of the disks... I went in circles for a while, but could not spot it. But the player movement felt really smooth, and overall it was pretty good!
NOStalgia by Seth L 2026-10-21T00:51:50Z ♥ 0
I LOVED the music and the overall vibes, definitely feeling the aesthetic you were going for. One thing it is unfortunately missing is more sound... if nothing else, it would've been good to give the cars an engine sound. The monotonic whir of a car engine in the background would have really tied the chill vibes together. But overall, nice work! Wish I had a friend to play this with... 😔
The Switchboard Operator by Isline 2026-10-21T00:32:52Z ♥ 0
BIT ROT by Ralex_x 2026-10-21T00:05:35Z ♥ 0
Great game! The chiptune music was really well made. The gameplay was interesting, but definitely a little hard to grasp. I could see it working really well as a longer game that eases into the mechanics more gradually. The visuals were good too, and overall everything was really cohesive. Nice work!
