LD46 — Keep it alive

Lost Goblins by pndaa 2020-04-21T12:41:25Z

The concept is interesting, but the game is really slow. When I already solved a level and I want to move directly to the end (like straight forward), I must click "Next turn" while my player hasn't arrived.

An option to speed up the time scale or the turn duration should be less frustating.

Subsea Demon Hearts by JonasMumm 2020-04-22T15:58:02Z

I really like PICO-8 games. That's a really cool engine. Your game is interesting and really hard. The rotation of shot trail preview is too long for me. Afterwards, nice work ;)

Phase 7 by tangiblegames 2020-04-22T09:14:58Z

Your game is really nice. There is a great atmosphere with tensions. You should accentuate the difficulty when you progress on planets by punishing the player when he kills non-infected people (even if it's funny :smiling_imp: ).

I've also made a game when you must keep the humanity alive, check it out ;)

Nekotchi by Devastus 2020-04-21T10:38:59Z

That's really cute ! But it lacks of randoms events and musics.

Mayday by awerar 2020-04-21T12:21:44Z

The graphics are nice. But I don't understood the difference between the two shields

Fox! Hen! Bag! by 0x01F0 2020-04-22T15:37:11Z

Graphics are nice, and a bit of humor through dialogues. Great job there.

Fire Keeper by mechanicallife 2020-04-22T16:10:22Z

Wow that's really impressive for a jam game :stuck_out_tongue: Nice work, I really like the gameplay ! Can't wait to see your next games.

Fridge Helper by ristoretto 2020-04-25T15:21:22Z

Great work, it's really hard to create a management game within 72 hours (I know it...)

I was too bad to keep my dinosaur alive  maybe because of the lack of Vitamin. All elements I got was 0 or less in Vitamin. Too hard to keep this datas up...

Also, make my mouse disappeared when I hover an element made me unconfortable.

The humor is here, and the idea is well executed. Nice job!

The God Of Adventurers by Lucille Blumire 2020-04-22T16:22:43Z

That's a funny game, but I'm always loosing whitout understanding the situation.

Seafood by fatPenguin 2020-04-25T15:51:55Z

Well done in only 72 hours :sunglasses: Graphics are great, the gameplay idea is fun and the levels are interesting.

Only one problem for me is the camera. When I dash and my character hurt the screen border, it makes too long to recenter.

🐱 Cat Fun Factory by gamescodedogs 2020-04-22T17:20:58Z

So cool and so cute. I really like the factory system. But I don't understand where the theme is x)

À la Fenêtre by DocGeraud 2020-04-22T12:21:09Z

Mirror by isaque-picao-sanches 2020-04-22T09:22:26Z

The rogue ascii style is great, but spamming arrows to move isn't a good gamefeel feature. I also have a bad visual representation of the environment, which I'm loosing myself.

Bubble Story by Nefrace 2020-04-22T16:30:22Z

So sad the game is too short  I want to play more. Anyway, the concept is nice, you must tweak a bit the bounciness of the ball when it becomes a "water ball?". The level design is nice after the four pillars. The two first fan makes me loose my mind x)

Nice work for a jam, continue.

Bug-Free Zone by GastricSparrow 2020-04-21T12:48:03Z

I don't understand how the game works. And the UI doesn't scale to the actual size of the game. I can't resize the game though.

The Intrepid Boo by Hystaf 2020-04-25T15:30:08Z

IT KEPT ME ALIVE by Dylan Dugan 2020-04-23T10:26:41Z

You need Blender installed to play the game. I needed a few minutes to launch the game.

The game is really hard. The controls are too much sensitive (and my Y-axis in inverted, don't know how to re-invert it). And why my vision seems to be zoomed ? It's hard to manage the character.

But the game is funny and doing that on Blender is well done.

City Soundscapes by Firesplash Entertainment 2020-04-23T12:17:42Z

I have nothing to said more than that was said before. You idea is funny and well executed. Perhaps, there are some cam/cursors bugs which making the game a bit harder.

Chromasphere by Vladadamm 2020-04-21T08:04:16Z

I really like the paint effect. It's funny. The game become a bit harder for me but the feeling is nice. Only one problem: the shot SFX, when the big round enemy arrives and shot in every direction, there's too much sounds in game.

Save us by Curtis Pelissier 2020-04-21T18:31:13Z

@rodi ahah, I hesitate to put this action into the game. I knew most people will use it

@vibromatic Thank you very much. It was very important for me to land the player gently into the game.

@palsina I haven't enough time to tweak more the speed of the game and the notifications. That's the problem with this kind of game.

@moddingmachine At the beggining of the conception, I wanted politics and journalists to influence events in game. So, if "Romuald Grump" says something really nasty, this would trigger guerilla or something. But, you know, time in game jam...

@j-c-one-bit-studio yeah, that's the general feedback. I'm really sorry to hadn't tweak that.

@dvd Depends what you call "win"

Save us by Curtis Pelissier 2020-04-21T18:34:49Z

Save us by Curtis Pelissier 2020-04-22T10:37:46Z

@michael-horst Thank you and, yeah totally: the events appeared really too fast. I hadn't enough time to add more variety to actions, that's one of my regrets. As already said, politicians should have more importance in the game.

@bastian-bresson It's partially made to play with Pause mode, because of the –too much– number of events in a month.

Save us by Curtis Pelissier 2020-04-22T16:56:21Z

@minusc Nuke doesn't meant to be used as humanity purifier  but if that's funny for you, I'm ok. Thanks

@gamescodedogs yeah, some friends compared my game to Plague. But I promise that isn't my intention. Thank you, I see most of you like the introduction and the music. That makes me feel so happy!

Rocket Defence by TheScopelessOne 2020-04-23T12:01:00Z

The rocket feeling is good, but the game is really hard. The boxes drop quickly and when I shoot them, they sometimes just rotate before continue straight down.

Hospital Ride by The1 2020-04-22T16:35:58Z

Ahah really funny game. I love hurting everyone in front of me :smiling_imp: Nice work for a jam

Frozen Skies by ThorPalsson 2020-04-21T17:19:18Z

The graphics are good and the "Long Dark" ambiance is a success.

There are gamefeel elements that would be great, like the character speed which is a bit to slow and the camera smooth follow is slow too. I think that was you intention, but when you really to reach other isle to collect wood for the fire, and haven't crafted enough power-ups, it's really hard.

Oh and "weeeeeeeeeeee" weeeeeee.PNG

Kill the Beast by limbo 2020-04-25T15:07:00Z

The story is interesting. I like that multi-choice dialogue game style. Some english errors but still good. You're questionning about who are the real monsters in our lifes, with open question so. Great choice, nice mood.

Saving your Pet by Aristo 2020-04-22T10:23:45Z

That's totally "Jonh Wick The Game"?

That's a cute game. I enjoyed smashing some enemies, like One Finger Death Punch style. Continue that way

Bosskeeper by YellowKamel 2020-04-22T08:40:41Z

A really nice work. The concept fit perfectly with the theme.

Some improvements I recommand:

- Slow a bit the game. - Put informations about the boss life's. - Don't close the game each time you die, it's frustrating. - If the introduction had already seen, skip it at the game launch (or put a Skip button) - Make a UI information for the supply mobs you can get in the dungeon. I was like "I had an ally, why is he respawning only after 3 turns ?" - When you display the power-up selection screen, make the game darker, or let them appear in a modal window. That will be more visible and understandable.

Forfeit REBIRTH by Hartvichio 2020-04-21T08:14:04Z

The graphics are specials, but I like the idea ^^ Also, is this normal that, at the end, the number of enemies augment exponentially in three seconds ?

Gimme The Tree by Mikado 2020-04-21T12:23:02Z

Can't launch the game

Infinite Machine by Frostroyk 2020-04-23T12:07:41Z

Very nice gameplay, this is nervous and strategic. There are choices, you need to go fast. Well done!

Extinguished by ModdingMachine 2020-04-21T16:40:02Z

Nice work. The game is interesting but the more I play and the less framerate become. I decided to kill myself after ~7 minutes because the game falls under 10 FPS

test_extinguished.PNG

Collect The Cores by TrogoQ 2020-04-24T14:17:07Z

The idea is funny, but the random collisions are so frustrating... Sometimes, I'm just walking straight forward and get stopped suddenly

Techno Oink by Washington Irving 2020-04-22T09:51:36Z

Your game has a great idea, but I can't pass the first level because of lack of feedback.

I play very carefully because when I kill or shot an enemy, there is no feedback (even just the destruction of the enemy itself). I was progressing, I suppose I killed every enemies (there were all down on the ground, not targeting) and my techno-oink has been killed without reason.

A shot sound would be great to add a nice FPS gamefeel. Talking about music, why is it spatialized  ?

Afterwards, it's a nice concept. You must work a bit more on gamefeel features.

Elnelis by Rodi 2020-04-21T12:19:54Z

For a first game, you've done a awesome work.

There are some gameplay and level design problems. First, you must explain the control when you acquire the capacity to do that. I'm asking why I can't shot with my bow whereas it was said in the controls at the begining.

Also, checkpoints or, at least, hearts will be a great help. Because of the shot rate of the plants, that doesn't let a chance to errors, I died too much. And a direction preview for the shot would be easier to kill enemies with the bow.

Continue to make games, that's a really good start ;)

Game of Beans by lt-farfetchd 2020-04-22T08:28:32Z

The gameplay made me laugh, it remembers me "Swiss army man" movie. Nice work ;)

Project Kepler by LucaVazz 2020-04-21T12:34:46Z

Well, I think it's too complicated for a jam game x) I was there, asking myself "ok, and what now?" while click on all buttons.

Sorbest by robinfaury 2020-04-25T15:10:48Z

The second level is too much hard! I'm hurting my head each jump.

Good job for the level one though.

Prime Number Defender by Tobias Bodewig 2020-04-23T11:53:36Z

The idea is funny. I like to leg-hook all humans on my way. But the actions bar fill up too low. It's hard

Silva by derparuni 2020-04-21T08:58:17Z

This game is really intersting. You have made a good story based on friends around a campfire, with dark elements in the wood that made the story creepy.

The graphics are good, I love the "hand paint" style, the parallax forest, the details in the woods (that I will not spoil here). With the musics and audio mix, you made an incredible game.

But it's really hard to follow the story and collect wood at the same time. I tried to follow the story but died because the fire stopped. Maybe the solution was to collect wood between dialogues?

Nevermind, really nice work with Godot, I really like the game.

Magic Mirror Delivery Service by Zerion 2020-04-21T17:48:56Z

Oups I broke the game :grimacing:

magic_mirror_bug.PNG

I really like the concept. Just a thing, don't make the music reset after deaths and when you move into another level, it's frustrating.

Rodolf by Nurk 2020-04-21T08:21:09Z

So far, one of best games from this jam. It's fun to play and to flee. Just collisions should be less hard, I'm always hurting to wall when I want to open a door.

Beast of Mista by Silthreent 2020-04-22T08:00:09Z

The game keeps crashing when I send the beast eating people. That seems to be a great idea, but it's too buggy. A tutorial in your page should be better to understand the game.

Life of a Homeless by Marcel Grolms 2020-04-21T17:06:04Z

The idea was so cool but, gosh, the controls

Your game is really made for arcade style. So, I think that the best solution to achieve your controls was a fixed following camera (like RTS style, or Diablo). With the fixed camera direction, you could level design your world as you want.

And the character is hard to control. I think he's drunk. That's funny but impossible to control.

I hope you will continue to make games and, maybe, update this game (with sounds, there are lots of free sounds on [Kenney website](https://kenney.nl/assets?q=audio)).

All That Remains by JustCreative 2020-04-21T16:47:16Z

Nice work for a first game. Next time you play with gravity, let the player more space to pass doors and place more props to play with physics.

Continue to make games, that will be great to see your next games.

Mars Alone by h4kcr0o 2020-04-22T08:05:42Z

Nice work. A bit too hard, needs some tweak and progressive difficulty.

Tear the damn tree down by Glox 2020-04-22T08:58:16Z

I like this game so much. I was try harding since 15 minutes, and then I pressed space to use my special and the game crashed with the same message than @ponypen

J'ai Froid by Delapaix 2020-04-21T08:34:47Z

Ok, I really like the PSX style you made. How did you achieve this ? Anyway, the game is a bit short and I think the "run" action could slow the decreasing warm bar. The idea is great by the way, so nice work ^^

Heart Kicker by The Iddmeister 2020-04-22T10:09:55Z

Ok, this is really good. The idea, the gameplay, the feedbacks, that's an excellent performance for a jam game. Nice work !

I recommend you to follow [this excellent thread from the creator of Celeste](https://twitter.com/MattThorson/status/1238338574220546049) to tweak the gamefeel features (like the coyot jump effect). The wall jump also need few pixels more to achieve perfectly.

Last things, maybe some indications in the levels design, to understand where you are in the level and which platforms you can reach. Like the following "And what now?"

tension.PNG

Nice bug when you finish the game and want to respawn from the menu ^^ You have the ending screen but can continue to play

Without that, I found the game too much longer. You could've shorten it a bit. For a compo, you made a great job. Well done!

deepr by phi 2021-04-30T08:30:54Z

Funny concept ^^ It was really funny to try that. I'm curious about the best quotes which you will select

Descent by Iak 2021-04-30T07:36:49Z

Hello I tried your game yesterday during my stream! What a weird experience ^^ I really enjoyed to play it. I think it could be a really good "idle game" like "cookie clicker" where you just let it play in background, collect your coins, move on a deeper floor, etc... I was funny too! Only one point to fix: the screen shake is really too disturbing. I think you could make it with less amplitude.

Great job! And thanks for sharing me your work ^^

Falling Dwarf by Garywiss 2021-05-05T18:05:46Z

Can you Dig It? by petitpois 2021-05-05T17:20:33Z

can_you_dig_it.PNG

Ahah I've been stucked in the wall

your_game_is_good_but_it_can_be_better.png

Yes! I think you must tweak the gamefeel of the drill. Spamming the button is a bit exhausting. It's totally ok to let the button down during all the game. It think you core is the movement, and it must be juicy to destroy blocks. And maybe set the spacebar to drill too.

The music and the art are nice, so I hope you will improve the gamefeel in a post-jam!

Good job

Feelings Not Yet by crazyrems 2021-05-14T17:34:41Z

Deepeth Woods by colapolka 2021-04-27T15:58:24Z

 That's really funny! I like the medieval art style, that reminds me [Simon de Thuillières](https://twitter.com/thuillieres) arts. The music is a bit aggressive on a complete run and the difficulty is to exponential, but the humour is present! Good job on that game

Dig Deeper & Digger by gonutz 2021-04-30T18:35:31Z

Is it a good score? Is it my best score? I don't know ^^ It lacks of the storage of a high score, maybe in the local storage.

The game is fun but requires super sayan reflexes to dodge or eat carrots  The graphics are good ^^

The SFX of the rabbit which vomits makes me a bit sick 🤮

Fathomless by SilkyPantsDan 2021-05-01T21:17:50Z

The game is really too hard for me (and I played Celeste). I think the colliders are bigger than they graphics.

Also, I recommand you to ajust your platformer mechanics to be more "permissive" for newbies (including me). Take a look at [this thread of the creator of Celeste](https://twitter.com/MattThorson/status/1238338574220546049), really helpfull ^^

The concept of the game is excellent. Some king of level-inception ^^ That's brillant, congrats! I will try hard this game if you made some corrections for stupids players like me XD

Dante's Harvest by Wakobu 2021-05-14T15:31:50Z

Vertigo by GaryS 2021-04-30T07:31:45Z

I tried your game yesterday during my live ^^ So, here are my feedbacks: - I like the gameplay, I was cool and fun - Your pixel art fits fine into your game - The controls are a bit chaotic. Putting the jump on the Z in a platformer is never a good idea. Actually, setting the Jump button on a other key than the Spacebar is an heresy. And, on a gamepad, the B and the A are inverted (B to Jump and A to Attack isn't a good binding) - The enemies aren't a real problem in the game. I think you can set them aggressive after 4-5 minutes of game.

Good job in this jam!

Fall Miner by MZA 2021-04-30T17:03:32Z

fall_miner.PNG

Nice copycat of NinJump ^^ It reminds me my high school years

I think you should just tweak the inputs. Letting the spacebar down when landing on other wall makes the player auto-jump. But it's hard to get the perfect timing to stop pressing the spacebar while we are ajusting our position.

Good job with the tools, making music Sonic Pi x) Nice work!

Mine Zhero by Colisan 2021-04-30T08:55:22Z

Tu as de quoi faire.

Bonne continuation ! Et bravo pour ton jeu de compo !

Watcher Patrol 4 by BlueCalx 2021-04-30T08:24:07Z

Hello! I tried your game yesterday during my stream ^^

It really was a hard game for me. I tried some strategies to finish the game and none of them worked. I think you must level the difficulty like a linear curve. Here, it's too hard, too fast. Though, I like the mechanics and it reminds me FTL because of the management of the different parts of the ship. It's weird ^^

Great job on this game

Beneath by Rewzu 2021-05-05T16:45:33Z

YEAAAH that was hard ^^ I liked the game, it's simple and adictive  I think you should have been more permissive with enemies (maybe, the explosion has a "coyote effect" and the collision of the explosion stays more frames for the enemies only?) And hope there will be a leaderboard version. You could totally make a free mobile version with adds

Nice job :ok_hand:

Rope Adventurer by KaizerKlimach 2021-04-30T08:38:16Z

Hello! I played your game yesterday during my stream. And it was insane!

I think that if I wasn't streaming, I would have played hours. The only feedback I got is that it would have been great to get a little animation when you move from a floor to another. But that's all!

All the game is incredible. It was fun, addictive, interesting, strategic, beautiful and I will download it to play again and again and again and again for sure! Sad that you made it in jam. In compo you would have won the first price. I hope you will get a good place in the jam ladder.

Congrats! Instant follow on twitter though.

Voyager 3 by Captain Nakou 2021-04-27T09:05:23Z

Really like the mood like 2001/Observation. I really feel oppressed by going deeper and deeper. This is a good narrative game! It would love a much longer story!

Some "bad" points: the music loop is a bit too repetitive and is present to early in the game. It would has been nice to let some ambient noises during the travel and fade in the music when the black hole appeared. Also, the speed text is really too fast.

Really great job!

Lost Contact by DrSkort 2021-04-30T17:34:52Z

lost-contact.png

Yeah! :sunglasses: Your game was really good and moody. I really enjoyed discovering the seabed, collect treasures and upgrade my submarine (which looks like a fish  ) Only one thing to fix: when the submarine comes to surface, its speed is too much reduced.

Great job on this jam!

Into the Storm by Vladadamm 2021-04-27T11:42:40Z

Good narrative game. There is a nice work on the sound design and the mood!

The gameplay reminds me the old PS1 Harry Potter game

I don't really something to say about. Maybe it lacks of a music when approaching the storm ?

Dream: The Temple Within by dominikscholz 2021-04-27T17:25:06Z

Congrats on your first ludum  I hope you will make other games in the future ^^ I like the graphics of your game and the simplicity of your gameplay. The story of going deeper and deeper in the dream would be more interesting if the enemies became weirder. One point to correct: the music transition is too abrupt between scene. A fade in/fade out in the music + black screen fade would be great

Reminiscence by Curtis Pelissier 2021-04-27T16:09:25Z

@pandaderzwote Thank you! Yeah we didn't got the time to design more complex puzzles. Game jam things...

@morg I made a patch to add the QWERTY input. I'm sorry about that, we are french team, and we have AZERTY keyboard so. I added the spacebar and left shift input if you don't want to use the mouse. But it's better (like any other platformer) to play with a gamepad ^^ I also fixed the fire SFX in the first level (it was very bad spatialized). The third level has a puzzle a bit tricky if you didn't pay attention in previous levels (the eyes puzzle's). The speed of the player is fixed because of the story (old -> slow, adult -> normal, child -> faster). I understand that some people would love to play "faster", but it would broke the mood of the game. Sorry :/

Reminiscence by Curtis Pelissier 2021-04-30T18:09:47Z

Thank you everybody! You seems to like the combination of art and music, and I'm glad to hear that because I composed the differents musical themes in a really short time.

@doot Yeah, I've made the music during the jam, when my game designer was designing all the mechanics. So I got a short time to create ~5 tracks (one isn't in the game because it was too incomplete). So thank you for your feedback

Deeper In The Night by Lorwon 2021-05-14T15:26:48Z

Age of Dwarves by DangerBlack 2021-04-27T16:46:22Z

Congrats on your game, it was really cool! A lot of work in this jam, that's nice. The music and the art are good. I have something to say about the controls. It's really hard, even with the two canvases on top-right of the screen, to understand which action I want to make. Like, I was at the final level to gather the big crystal with my ~20 soldiers, and it was a pain to click on each dwarve to send to attack an enemy. The enemy which dies something when the dwarve was going to attack it, and stopped his walk. Would be great, like SC2 or strategy game, to select multiple dwarves and send them once.

I really liked the game, and so sad to not fight the balrog at the end :sob: I wanted to send my army in his face😈!

Deep Diver by MEDOcapra 2021-04-30T18:46:26Z

The mining feature is kinda bugged I think? It seems random or something x) Like click 20 times on block, no desctruction. Moving one meter, clicking once and the block disapear

The ambiance of the game should be more moody with a more relaxing music and ambient SFX.

I think you should fix the mining bug (you can do that even after publishing, if you write that in a changelog (see the [Rules](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules) of LDJAM) because it's barely hard to play.

Hope you will be aware of that!

The Depths of Science by Trusty 2021-04-27T21:08:18Z

I laught so hard at those pink enemies   Thank you for that!

Some points to modify: - On a certain rotation, the camera speed up too fast horizontally - It lacks of feedbacks SFX and background musics - A little information somewhere to tell the player if he got the card of the level - Remove the "ctrl left" binding on the Fire

Congrats for you first 3D though :)

Mental Abyss by Stefan0198 2021-04-27T20:31:21Z

It was fun. Maybe some hit SFX would be more juicy when the I'm on my murderous madness 😈

I find the black "entities" really chilly :O

In Too Deep by JoeShanahan 2021-05-05T16:32:51Z

That's a good moody game. I love the graphics and the music. But the farming is really slow. I played like 20 minutes to get the silver pickaxe. Maybe I'm bad, or the random is not by my side, but I found the "leveling" really long. Maybe a more exponential curve would be great?

The battles are a bit rigid, but it's ok for a jam game.

Good job for this game

Screw it by Jasuse 2021-04-30T17:46:44Z

Ahahahah  The SFX of the screw just killed me! The graphics are nice

Your game is funny, but lacks of variability a bit. Good work on this game tho

Blackout by Frasse 2021-04-30T09:05:45Z

That was 15 minutes of excellence! I have nothing to say that wasn't already said previously. I played your game during my stream, that was an very nice moment. I hope you will make a definitive version sold it to steam/itch/gamejolt/other. I want to buy this game

Congrats to the team, really good job!

Cave48 by Sergeech 2021-04-27T21:35:12Z

The concept is interesting but you should improve the gamefeel by reducing the mining time and increasing the spawn rate of enemies.

Even if the player move really fast, I found the gameplay a bit slow because of the waiting time to gather the minerals.

By the way, the art is really nice. God job!

Goblin Heist by Halberd 2021-05-01T19:54:53Z

Nice gameplay. There is a great work on the level design and I think that, in a further version, some levels should add new mecanics (like push buttons, doors, water, etc...). More diversity in the mechanics would be a game changer for your concept

I found the graphics simple and funny. I don't like that your score drop down by seconds while all the game is turn by turn. I would prefer a score that decrease on each move.

Nice job for this jam

OVERDRILLED by everedx 2021-04-27T16:57:04Z

Not that bad :sunglasses: Need me time to understand that the hammer can fix the walls and keep them breaking apart. The only problem I got.

It was really funny and hard to dig really deeper ^^ Good work on the assets, on the gamefeel and on the art, it was good

Deep Mind by JRevel 2021-05-05T18:21:24Z

This is so stressful, and I think that was your intention. So well played :joy: The nightmare cards were hard to dodge! The big problem is to read really fast the blocks to understand which choices I could make, and I'm french... So, near the end, I just drag'n'dropped card fastly without reading x)

Great job here

Crust by exopunk 2021-04-27T15:52:23Z

Pâquerette Down the Bunburrow by Herbie Puppy 2021-04-27T18:30:03Z

Afterlife by Nekopi 2021-04-27T18:11:37Z

That's a good Downwell copycat ^^ It's a bit sad that there are no audio at all  But, I understand that you haven't got the time to implement that.

One thing you should fix: the player is higher than one cell. So, I can't move out on some platforms without getting hit by enemies (like on the screenshot). You should code a security condition on that part.

The Shadowy Temple by Kiwi1281 2021-04-27T18:52:13Z

Oh guys, it would be really great with more feedbacks! Like a glowing material with a "woosh" SFX on the orbs. The puzzles weren't understandable enough. Like, I finished the game and I really don't know how x) I just aligned myself to the final door and the orb in front of it and I don't know why she opened.

P.S.: the SFX of the door opening is perfect :ok_hand:

Don't Pull It Out by Shin0nome 2021-05-05T17:46:03Z

Perciflette by UnagiV 2021-05-01T20:29:27Z

In the darkness by RollCreators 2021-04-27T18:00:12Z

Nice game! I will try hard for the "best life ending" :eyes:

I like gameplay and it's really fun. The art is nice. The mine explosion range is not enough visible or understandable. Good job on this jam! I hope you will get a good rating.

Falling Bot by Phobos 2021-04-30T18:27:57Z

KISS! Keep. It. Simple. Studip.

And you done that very well! Easy to learn, fun to play. The controls are very good and I only have two feedbacks to give: - More visuals juicy feedbacks. Your game could be playable fastly with more juicy effect (SFX, VFX, more screen shake maybe?) to encourage the player to replay instantly a new run - Make a better difference between elements that the player can touch or not. I was thinking I couldn't touch flowers (or mushrooms? I don't know...) even when I "finished" the game. I think I could move through some other elements like the metal frames.

Really great job for a jam

Where are my sexy red boots by FroBros 2021-05-01T19:38:18Z

I like the concept and mechanics, but the game is really really short! I have played like 2 minutes before finishing it! I hope you will make a longer version with more puzzles.

The music and audio is cool. I want to know more about that "sexy" story you're telling

Nice work

Down the Block by Spiderbat2089 2021-04-27T18:42:27Z

It lacks an background music but the mechanics are here. It would be great to get more levels ^^ Also, I noticed a lil bug: when I die, I can continue to move like 2 or 3 seconds. So, at the final stage, I died in front of the ending but still moved to the final platform.

Where's my dynoMITE? [LD48] by miej 2021-04-30T18:57:39Z

The mouth-made SFX are hilarious  Well done!

That's a cool usage of the physics engine. The graphics are not that great but they're funny ^^ The game is not too short nor too long. Perfect timing :ok_hand: Great work! You must have had a good laugh during the jam

But the art and gamefeel are well done!

TamanDua by Funambulist Cat 2021-04-27T17:15:26Z

Congrats! That's a really great first game! What a psychedelic experience x) The art is really moody and funny

The music was jolting on the webgl version, I don't know why :/

AMVD&D by Ayxh 2021-04-27T12:07:08Z

I'm not really good at those dodging games x) Congrats to finish a game for your first jam. KISS concept is working great. Only one bad point: the music is too much repetitive and broke a little bit the rythm of the game.

Lost Shrimp by Falcon_Lc 2021-04-27T11:54:19Z

Yeah! Almost 1km! lost_shrimp.png

Nice work on the art, I love the fact that you made a shoot'em'up with a shrimp  It's sad there is no audio  but within 48h, I understand that you can't do everything.

The big problem of the game are the controls. I think it should be better to not move the shrimp to the direction you place your mouse on, but simply on the horizontal/vertical axis. Because it's tricky to dodge enemies when your controls are inverted (you look down).

Dig Deeper! by Cyanilux 2021-04-27T13:45:28Z

Great job on the destruction/mining mechanic! Impressive! I found the game punitiv and a bit unbalanced (items in shop are too much expensive) :sob: It lacks of a little ambient music.

It could be a good rogue-lite game (some kind of Spelunky maybe?) Congrats of the final result!

Toys War Adventure by Curtis Pelissier 2022-10-10T10:49:30Z

Thank you @ussendayoo @aripize

Thanks @legolula I made the VFX and there were a lot more that I wanted to create. It lacks some VFX feedbacks (like the "oompf" when punching an enemy) and also a funny death animation. All those features would be put in a further version, for post-jam.

Thanks @cuc I made the child voice within ~6 minutes in the last run of the jam x)

Thanks @cheville during our playtests post-jam, we found that upgrades and drops aren't even. We will make a quickfix update to tweak some values.

Thanks @blue-pin-studio actually, we found a bug on the sword and the pistol. It will be fix in a later update. And yes, some weapons lacks of feedbacks to really understand what it's doing on enemy (e.g. the water gun is slowing enemies but it's not enough explicit).

Waves by RiptideStudio 2022-10-21T12:47:53Z

Technically, the game is really good. I love the mood and graphics. Controls are a bit rough sometimes and I got some FPS drops while playing. The idea is cool and reminds me of Scanner Sombre.

Although the theme is respected, I found that 10 seconds is too much time to wait between to scans, and let the player wait until the next one. Maybe the fade out of points should be delayed, this way the player can follow already scans paths without hurting every walls.

Great jobs though

VÖLUSPÁ : Twilight of the Gods by Mathoslink 2022-10-10T21:12:38Z

When The Night Comes by Frogravity 2022-10-10T20:37:43Z

Little bug when finishing the game/last level, when you press "Next Level", it loads the main menu without the cursor. Only when to quit is ALT+F4.

I found the game fun to play, walking around, checking beds. But I think the minimap is really too much. I only played with this feature and I only looked my FPS view to interact with objects.

The sound design is great, mainly the monsters SFX. Congrats!

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-21T07:51:07Z

Count Down Dracula by Guilloteam 2022-10-21T07:56:53Z

Stalwart Planet Guard by rjmarzec 2022-10-10T20:19:24Z

Aw I suck at this game :joy: Here are my personal best:

stalwart_planet_guard.PNG

Though, the game is pretty fun and you sure may have difficulties with planet, gravity and stuffs. I really like your hand-drawned (Paint.exe?) style. It is really cool to see how far you can go within 48 hours.

I think you can put a sign/feedback to planets you can go. It's a bit hard, when there is no other planets on the screen, to jump to another one. Maybe a little arrow to point the nearest planet? That's my feedback.

Croissant Quandry by maxwellpark 2022-10-10T20:08:11Z

The platformer gamefeel is pretty nice. The theme is well executed, but the game lacks of explanations about its gameplay. Don't moving is killing me. Moving along a platform too much time is killing me too. The only way to survive is to be always jumping, that's a bit frustrating.

And, hum... How is this not spikes? This should totally killing me :joy: croissant_quandry.PNG

Omg I suck at this game :sob: Anyway, this was brillant, I loved the gameplay  nothing to say, I was fun overall and one of the best entries this jam, bravo Capture d'écran 2024-10-16 135655.png

Excellent jam entry! The game feel is perfect, the art direction is beautiful. It was a bit frustrating when approaching then game, resources placement is really unbalanced and and found gold really late in the game. Also, there wasn't enough flint/axe available and so the game tend to bit artificially longer that it should be.

Anyway, the best jam entry I played this year

Tiny Apple by DocGeraud 2024-10-08T09:30:33Z

Bee Bop by Madbarron 2024-10-14T20:12:40Z

That was absolutely fun, parapa-the-rapper vibe  I really liked the game, but the hard level does not send enough soldier compared to the number of birds that appears :sob:

Nice work, it is a great entry this jam!

Moldable Monster of Mine by She Wrote 2024-10-14T19:27:55Z

ahah really nice entry, good job to handle the creature creation pixel by pixel  I had fun playing it! Nothing much to say, I played the compo version without patches, and it already was fun to play

The theme interpretation is funny but there is too much "liquid" for me ^^' I got a bug where shooting with two AKs at the same time (and holding the shoot) simply stops the SFX. Also, AK is totally unbalanced x) playing "Lucky" upgrade makes everything easier

I find the game pretty much hard to read (because of the low opacity of popup overlapping the rest). I think I see a Disco Elysium inspiration for DA and RPG-based, is that so? The game would have been greater to play with much more seperate parts of the UI/game (adding logs to journal dynamically, making the popup modal more important and text display much faster, etc...)

I hope I could retry a version with some quality of life improvements! It would be very interesting to play this kind of RPG-based game. The DA and concept are cool though!

Yeah, got the good ending! Cute game and nice to play. I would like to get more challenge, but it is a chill entry one

Gettin' Squirrely! by Cliff Coffee 2024-10-14T20:26:23Z

Good job for the climbing mechanic. It is hard to control and something I fall by just climbing straight upward. My maximum is 11, and I tried to run as fast as I could ^^

Dustrunner by ghpxi 2025-10-07T08:55:37Z

Hooray! The portal has been.jpg

It was really fun and relaxing! Gravity is a bit hard to control but attaching multiple rocks and hang them to the planet is working well! Nice entry

Gold Finder by Curtis Pelissier 2025-10-07T07:27:09Z

@mr-kliff Thank you for playing. If it's "a bit" difficult, that's the point ^^

@georgeburg Thank you! I updated the page with a spoiler section of every collectable, in case you are really stuck. Hope it'll help!

Gold Finder by Curtis Pelissier 2025-10-07T09:01:02Z

@chikendeath @absolushzero Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it

@gorglomux Totally, our first intention was to put many puzzles and hidden interactions in the game. But we finally lack of time... A sieve and a fishing games were planned, but we have prioritized the hammer interaction one.

Nice entry, with relaxing puzzle game (a bit of monument valley inspiration?)

But I'm stuck at level 5, the button doesn't seem to work :(

Hard game, but I really liked it! Would love to see the same concept using alphabet :D

Really cute game! Give Conrad a kiss and a lot of food 🥰

Great entry, hard to understand clearly. And I don't know if I made a good score or not? Maybe a goal would be pertinent? Nice job though

Build-A-Bot by Tykki19 2025-10-07T09:13:02Z

Great work! I can only go to Day 4, it becomes really hard, really soon ahah! The gameplay is fun and easy to learn. It requires to choose quickly and wisely to progress. Well balanced too. This is an excellent entry, congratulations!

> Je ne fais que mon travail !

J'ai bien ri sur votre jeu. Pleins de petites refs bien françaises qui régalent. C'est une bonne interprétation du thème, gg

Juste un bug à corriger: la direction du mouvement à tendance à se désaxer, ce qui est très perturbant.

Styx of Souls by Disvent 2025-10-07T10:22:59Z

Nice game with lot of humor (dialogues and art)! But I'm really to bad playing it. It requires some precision to drag people (playing on trackpad) and some gods has too much constraints too soon.

The art direction is great and well applied. Good jam entry, well done!

Paper Airplanes Collection by GeorgeBurg 2025-10-07T07:33:54Z

Cute little game to relax :sunglasses:

I got a bug where the last plane wasn't in the book (the 16th)
