I played your game, but, to be honest, the standard platformer gameplay didn’t really excite me. That said, the character, the consistent style, and the pixel-art rendering -reminiscent of a computer terminal -are all fantastic, especially for a game created during a game jam.

Loved the artstyle, the visuals and the goofy tutorial

This is great. and every level being different but still being parkour was great. I suck at parkour though lol

This was fun! I had a bit of a hard time figuring out which exact bookshelves were being pointed to by the scanner. I really enjoyed the music, I liked how it changed for each room.

Love love all of the different level art, especially the terminal theme! In terms of gameplay I really liked just the sheer number of interactables you come across exploring the levels. I've always been a bit daunted by doing platformers for game jams just due to the number of creature comforts that feel like they've become industry standard, so when one is missing it always feels very noticeable/can be frustrating. All of that to say though, I feel like y'all really nailed it and were able to get most of what I would expect (especially given the obvious time constraints). Game overall feels especially polished! Great job!

LOVE THE aesthetics

I really liked the idea!

Havoc is a very cute little troublemaker. I love the old desktop window sitting inside a chunky CRT, with a tiny character and a full-sized door sharing the screen - it gives the computer-hopping premise lots of personality!

lchaves 2026-10-20 01:46 ♥ 3

Incredibly good. Would buy a plushie of Havoc!

welovegames 2026-10-20 03:51 ♥ 2

The opening was amusing! I would have loved more interaction with desktop icons and windows, as the platforming felt a little disconnected from the computer setting. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the green ASCII level and couldn't progress any further. I couldn't make the jump from the small central platform onto the tall platform to its right (see screenshot). Did I miss a mechanic, or could there be an issue with that jump? screen.png

Made it to the end! I loved the surprises at the end! Also wondering if there are a couple easter eggs will have to try again later. I would absolutely pay money for a more fleshed out game like this! I hope more gets worked on soon! I loved the art style of the ascii platformer levels the best. ( if you get stuck jump off the side of the vert walls)

@welovegames you can wall jump :)

thanatosisanoob 2026-10-20 05:07 ♥ 2

The artstyle is so nice I love mr havoc's design (hes so adorable) and the animations for everything. The achievements section at the end is great and the platforming is great.

my only complaint of the game is that it says readme.txt instead of readme.md

sasik 2026-10-20 05:42 ♥ 2

@welovegames Hello there! You can't go straight on top of the right box. if I understood your message right, you can only stick to it and walljump to the left one.

welovegames 2026-10-20 06:01 ♥ 2

@sasik Thanks for the explanation and the diagram! The wall-jump route might be obvious to more experienced platformer players, but it wasn't clear to me. A small in-game hint introducing that mechanic would have helped me a lot.

nikitastarostin 2026-10-20 08:50 ♥ 3

Really charming game - the terminal/CRT aesthetic is instantly memorable, and Havoc is an adorable little troublemaker. The pixel-art rendering, goofy tutorial, and music that shifts per room give it a lot of personality, especially for a jam entry. I also loved the sheer number of interactables and the ASCII level art.

My main friction was clarity: I couldn’t always tell which bookshelves the scanner was pointing at, and the wall-jump mechanic wasn’t obvious to me - I got stuck in the green ASCII level until I read a comment explaining it. A small in-game hint for wall jumping would help a lot. The platforming also felt a little disconnected from the computer-window premise at times, though the style carries it. Overall, very polished and full of heart - would love to see a fuller version

Wow, this game reminded me in some ways of a game I made with a team for a game jam at my university. The notebooks, the computer, the virus, the tools presented as desktop programs. I really liked the atmosphere, the visual transitions, and the art style itself.

curtis-pelissier 2026-10-20 15:46 ♥ 4

I got the bad ending, I don't know what I done wrong 😢

That's a good entry, the team made a great platformer game. Well done!

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff

david0k 2026-10-20 18:19 ♥ 2

A quirky concept with a chaotic little virus as the main character! (hello from David0k translator)

sasik 2026-10-20 22:05 ♥ 1

@david0k Спасибо! Тебе тоже привет)

I loved the little guy!! Super fun game, reminds me a bit of Pony Island which I love. Others have mentioned the wall jumping part and I will also volunteer myself to the Hall of Shame for getting stuck there as well... but I figured it out eventually 🙃. It would be cool to see updates to this!

animations and art r soo god

Mr. Havoc in The Web is a fun game about a small virus called Havoc. He loves to sneak into people’s computers and cause trouble on the internet. You play as Havoc and travel through different places on your way to a data center owned by ViewTech. The story asks an interesting question: should Havoc listen to his creator, or make his own choices? You can explore new places, meet different people, and do funny things along the way. The game has colorful art, fun music, and simple controls. I like its unusual idea and playful style. It is a good choice for players who enjoy silly adventures and computer stories.

nursultan 2026-10-21 15:43 ♥ 3

Such a fun and creative concept! Playing as a mischievous little virus jumping through retro desktop windows, notepad files, and green terminal screens is such an awesome take on Old Tech. The mix of platforming and point-and-click mechanics gives it so much personality and retro charm. Left full ratings across the board! If you have a minute later to check out more jam projects, we’d love if you took a look at our game Meow Bomb as well. Best of luck with the jam!

annie-owl 2026-10-21 15:48 ♥ 3

Hahaha, what a ride 😄

Really love this game. Platforming feels good and responsive. All the little easter eggs and interactions make the whole process so much fun 😄 The fact that you have 2 different visual styles for the GUI hacking and the over the network "transfer" is such an amazing detail - I love it! And that final escape sequence music absolutely rocks!

!> And I'm proud to announce that I've managed to get the good ending and escaped my creator 😈

detectivelosos 2026-10-24 22:26 ♥ 1

Fun little game, I enjoyed poking my nose everywhere and trying to discover all the secrets in the levels. Although I haven't figured out how to leave bad comments on Mr Bobinson's page, felt like I clicked everything, but nothing happened. Managed to get the good ending sitting on a beach 😄 Platforming is smooth and the music spices the action, especially on that first cyberspace level 🎵

flatgub 2026-10-25 12:10 ♥ 0

Really cute entry!! I really enjoyed the details in each of the separate computers and the general presentation was really fun. I do think those sections are stronger than the platforming challenges between each level but over all I really enjoyed it, well done!!
