LD54 — Limited Space

LIGHTDANCER by xk_the_name 2023-10-16T20:39:54Z

Taking into account this seems to be one of the more popular entries, I just had to take a look. Overall, this is a perfectly tight and well scoped game for a gamejam, nothing more, nothing else, and to that end, I think you deserve big props! While it trod a bit of old ground for me mechanically and stylistically, the fact that you single-handedly managed to crank in all of it in 48 should make you super proud. Good job!

Urban Jungle by Shess 2023-10-15T22:15:29Z

Very comfy experience overall! The visuals and overall mood are the best, but the inner workings of the game seemed to be a bit opaque to me. I cleared the threshold on my first try just playing randomly, and then struggled to do it with the info on each plant's likings and whatnot. I ended up replicating my first win disregarding the tip to diversify plants and just went full in with cacti, palm trees and lemon trees. That aside and minor hiccups such as making it so that the redo button erases your character if placing it was your last move, the game is very solid! Props to everyone involved ;)

This Robot Wizard Game Is Taking Too Much Disk Space! by jandourek 2023-10-15T18:03:51Z

Everything conjured up contributes in such a neat way to the tight little package that is this game! From the graphics to the blessed music, to the central gameplay of the game. Not only is it extremely inventive, applying a really ingenious twist to the theme, but everything just gels so well together! Big props to everyone involved!

GOOSE SLAYER by StrangerYann 2023-10-15T17:24:15Z

Overall tight classic styled FPS, specially in the context of a jam. My biggest "complaint" is that the theme wasn't used to try to get out of the classic formula of the genre, which could have been interesting.

Floppy Intelligence by Ganny 2023-10-17T19:25:39Z

How does this game have such few ratings?! It genuinely think it is one of the most brilliant games I've seen thus far mechanically, and even aesthetically it totally nails down what it sets out to do! Balancing was also really well done, forcing the player to have diskettes that kinda work as a macro in order to be reused, but without allowing that logic to be broken down to singular inputs. The only thing that I could point out, and I say this out of love since I would immensely enjoy something like that, is lean more into the simulation aspect of the whole thing, so maybe by having two modes where you can control everything in a "physical" manner, (managing the diskettes, jolting notes, etc..) and another in another mode the player could fully use its keyboard to control the "virtual computer", in a text editor sort of way. Really nice job nonetheless!

Cosmic Construction by ChuChuGeralt 2023-10-15T18:17:38Z

Nice puzzle game overall. Not sure if the god mechanic is working as intended, since maybe the game would function better without that time restriction always fighting back against you, when you take into account that the loss of your pieces can just be reset by quickly rotating the affected piece 3 times, resetting the god advancement, and keeping the board in the same state.

Gridlock: A Tiny RTS by Hare Software 2023-10-17T20:29:38Z

Always nice to see someone go for RTSs and less explored genres in jams like this! Other than that, its just what people have said, i.e. it was worth to go the extra mile and put the effort into the voice acting, and the game overall is also really solid, with the units being a bit to similar visually to be distinguished though. Also maybe it was just me, but I practically just spammed Riflemen with a Grenadier here and there for good measure and did just fine, don't know if that was intended though hehe

Either way, good job all!

Safe Space Passage by Kepsert 2023-10-17T19:49:59Z

Possibly my favourite entry thus far! Mechanically is probably one of the most inventive, and adding to that is literally everything else that also wasn't skimped upon. It has polish, it has atmosphere, it has content, what else could one person ask for? Big props to everyone involved!

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-16T21:04:55Z

I know I'm just preaching to the choir at this point, everything about this game is so great, and above all else, every element by itself elevates the others, making the final experience more than the sum of its parts. While the gameplay itself is nothing groundbreaking per say, the contextual package of the artwork, sound, and overall polish is just so palpable and really elevates things. Also, how can the game have so much content?! For real, everyone involved should be proud!

LD55 — Summoning

How to Summon a Cat For Dummies by LChaves 2024-05-02T23:14:00Z

@hawkin we **could** say it is a bit of smart anti-design on our part, made to induce frustration into the heart of the player... but unfortunately it was just a dumb oversight that got left in :/ Thank you for playing though!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Blobbies by tuism 2024-10-24T16:05:18Z

Simple, clean, and well polished, good job!

Nano - Nautica by nopogo 2024-10-24T00:46:17Z

Maybe it's just me, but the background track absolutely makes this game! Swimming around the tardigrades in the dim light of the submarine while the laid back guitar plays is definitely a good experience. Other than that, the game is simple and straight to the point. You could have leaned more into a simulator experience by adding more knobs and levers to the controls, or leaned more into the exploration kind of things, although that would involve more assets. Still, solid entry.

Skitter by Don Fouts 2024-10-23T19:11:29Z

Besides some clearly cut corners like the terminals and the lack of proper feedback regarding win/lose conditions, which is only natural in a jam game, the main attraction i.e. the atmosphere ended up being top-notch! The sound design helps a lot like usual, but everything else is still very well done. First time I was detected by a small critter that went unnoticed, to then not knowing what to really expect, only to have the big creature rushing down on my hiding location, was legitimately a tense moment. The art in general also complements the atmosphere really well, and the small details like the ant-like creatures that are there just for dressing are greatly appreciated! Overall level design with clearly distinct areas mixed with tight corridors also works really well. All in all, great job!

KingdomOS by mr.kvinter 2024-10-23T19:31:49Z

Very well done overall! From the simple concept mixing clicker gameplay with strategy, to the overall presentation, to the albeit simple audio that for all intents and purposes is not out of place due to the atmosphere of the game, etc... Unlike what others have said though, I think the time it takes to transition between maps adds to the push and pull of the game, adding tension to the management you are supposed to do, which by the way, I felt it was also very well done, specially in terms of game balance. That said, all that is left are some minor nitpicks, like the lack of feedback in combat, being hard to even see the decreasing hitpoints of enemies sometimes, and minor quality of life improvements, like having some kind of information regarding the allowed buildings in each of the areas. Overall though, really good game, congrats!

Xemaverse by dp3rucha 2024-10-24T00:13:55Z

Didn't understand if there was an end state or if you could keep buying Xemas indefinitely, but I got 3 of them and everything remained the same :P Unlike others have said, I think the strongest aspect of the game is the change between the two views, as it provides a very real kinesthetic feel once you get the hang of it, although I can understand that the first impulse is to move the microscope while in that view, since that is what one would do in a real microscope hehe Balancing could have used a bit more work, as I found myself just killing Xoxos until I could buy a new Xema, and then repeat, or actually, just saving a ton of money by protecting a singular Xema and then buying a couple of them at once. Other that that, I think there is a nice idea here!

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-24T01:21:01Z

The art and music are so good! Ultimately, the game is quite simple though, but given it is a game jam, you guys are forgiven hehe. If you end up introducing more elements as the player progresses, be sure to give a heads up. Nice job!

Slimeow Game by Quan Ran 2024-10-24T15:57:19Z

Simple, clean, effective... overall, good job! Balancement could still take some tweaks, but other than that, really solid jam entry!

Leafling builders by Kotolazer 2024-10-24T01:12:45Z

Probably one of my favourite entries so far! The atmosphere is immaculate, from the music, to the artwork, to the quite creative concept, everything works so well. Other than that, I feel like this is the type of short game that only works in a jam like scenario, since I don't see where one could take the gameplay concept further without changing the core of the game, since it is ultimately so simple, but also effective during the sort runtime. Absolutely no complaints on my part! Maybe some animations were a bit rough, but on the other hand you had the branches with physics that added so much charm :D Honestly, good job!

Little sparkle by okEly 2024-10-23T19:44:36Z

Overall, simple and classic entry, reminds me a lot of flash games from back in the day, from the graphics to the audio. If I had to offer any feedback though, it would be, pun intended, on the game's overall feedback. From what activates what and when, to the display of your energy counter in a more diegetic manner - the placement at the upper right corner doesn't jump immediately to my attention, which could also be caused by the energy sprites sometimes blending with the background. Still, good job!

Quackling Rescue by Laywelin 2024-10-24T00:58:45Z

Really simple and to the point game. Art is really nice, but the gameplay could use some development, maybe by design puzzles around leaving certain ducks at certain spot and managing them, since I ended up dropping them at a given spot to make navigation easier. Also, due to the sound design I was half expecting the game to go into some jum-scare moment, but maybe that was just me hehe All in all, good entry!

LD58 — Collector

Collector's case by HeadZerg 2025-10-07T00:00:44Z

Clean, simple and effective, perfect scope and execution for a jam game. Nice work!

Artwork is superb!

Bug Bequest by Bea 2025-10-10T23:17:05Z

Simple little game, really liked the "bug physics"!

GRIBNIK by DNK 2025-10-06T23:47:55Z

Could be quite nice if the game had a bit of progression. I might have just missed some crucial aspect though, since I ended up roaming around endlessly :P
