Amazing game, I agree with WALK's comment, it's incredible you managed to make this in 2 days! Everything feels really polished. The graphics and music are amazing and I had fun playing. I won't spoil anything for anyone else but the surprise helper in the end caught me off guard lol I love it.
Incredible amount of content and polish and attention to detail in this compo game, everything just works and clicks together.
very impressive game! I loved everything about it, especially the polish with the little animations and everything.
Was not actually expecting a full "light JRPG", but here it is! Wonderfully delightful though. The mechanics focused side of me would have enjoyed fights that required more of the player, but keeping it light also makes sense.
Very cute, little rpg! Love the characters and dialog, and suddenly Jesus lol. I was able to beat the landlord :)
I can't believe this is a Compo entry! Big work
@walk @eoshadows @evgenii-petrov @strega @ronalchue Huge thanks for the kind words! I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I'm always trying to do something bigger than before
@fullmontis Thanks! Actually, there is no animation that I did manually. It's all thanks to a simple shader that jiggles the sprite. It turns out it's a very simple trick to achieve some motion on screen, even with static sprites
Love the premise! Turning everyday appliances into enemies is such a fun idea. The concept immediately caught my attention, and I really like how well it fits the theme!
The premise of everyday appliances staging a coup is absolutely genius—it brings the old tech theme to life in such a fun way. It's really interesting to see this chaotic event handled with a light JRPG style.
The poster reminds me about the game, where girl goes buy bag of milk

@asalidonat Yep, it is the main ref for the character + Z.A.T.O
Also. It may sounds sbit wierd, but can you give me a link to this font?
@asalidonat you mean font that I use in game or in poster?
@asalidonat I put them in the description
Wow, what a cool little RPG! :)
I have nothing to complain. The visuals are stylish, the characters nicely done and the music very fitting. The story and the end boss was also done very well. I found the difficulty perfect, although you have a lot of items, but thats fine for a jam game.
The controls feel very good. The fights work very well.
I like the detail, that some characters comment on things like the penguin did. What I also really adore is the humor in this game. Starting with the alarm with it's beep attacks down to Jesus Christ. :D
Excellent game, congrats!
@filgreen3 ok, thanks
I killed a router, the game turned off and now I have no wifi connection (I am writing this post from a starbucks (its not a starbucks advertisements, they just have free wifi (again, its not a starbucks advertisement)))
Okay, I definitely wasn't prepared for Jesus. That was hilarious! Amazing game!
Hi, very nice and concise take on JRPG. Liked the trippy atmosphere! Praised be the 4th team member!
You know, I wanted to write up a pretty well detailed piece of feedback for this game. I wanted to talk about how I thought the characters were actually balanced pretty well overall. The player character was a solid all-rounder, the plant being a solid healer and the penguin being a berserker ( penguin ftw ).
But the truth is, the only way I can describe this game is with this
moonknight random bs go meme.png
( I mean this as a complement )
Either way, incredible presentation in general. My only complaint is that the final boss was kind of a pushover. Add jesus into the mix ( lol btw ) and that final fight became a little dissappointing from a gameplay standpoint. It was absolutely hilarious none the less, but I think the final boss could've done with some sort of attack that did damage to everyone maybe.
That aside, very fun and interesting game which had me both intrigued about what it would throw at me next, along with having me laugh my head off
A great, fun game. The amount of work involved is just mind-blowing - I need your secrets.
Really fun, love the humour and how everything jiggle around! Lots of content and well balanced.
Oh, it's an Undertale-like game! I don't know who you are, but I definitely know your landlord isn't a very nice person...
I think you could use this game to introduce yourself to other people and show them how you see the world. Maybe that's what people call real art?
I really love the visuals and the music. Well done!

I LIKE IT. The fact that we can fight with lamps and a refrigerator is so funny😁 Good job!
Characters move so funny! I like how it feels like underwater. Everything looks so stylish! And the music goes well with what is happening in the home. I also like the limited color palette because it helps create a special atmosphere
This is simply amazing! I will always be in awe of work of such a high level. Good job!
@badpiggy This is exactly the reaction I was hoping for! Fun, randomness, and comedy were the goal. It's always pleasing when a game achieves a specific feeling in other people. Yeah, the final battle is a little easy. I had one player during playtest who lost before Jesus arrived, so I decided not to gamble on that and just gave the final, without too much challenge, story mode kind of. I have a few thoughts on New Game+ after the jam, but we'll see if it's necessary
@lllarso @vorondesan @randomhuman @disvent @lera @orange-kiwi @indiepanda Thanks!!!
@ivankapcov I heard that if you release more games than months in a year, it can give you superpowers. I was close to it last year. Joke aside, thanks!
this was so charming. I really liked the art, the running animations are wonderfully odd, and every new party member made me go "what?!". Having to fight appliances is a great idea, and all of the move names were very on-brand. I really really liked the whole vibe of this and would definitely play more!
Types of conflict in literature: * Man vs Nature. * Man vs Man. * Man vs God. * ... * **Man vs Furniture**?????
Greatly enjoyed this game.
Great JRPG! Really loved the Undertale-like vibe, and OMG, I absolutely love the penguin!
Delightfully strange, very Earthbound flavored, but very much doing its own thing. Appreciated the help of penguin and flower a lot, best team 2026. With the power of our friendship it feels we can fight furniture and property owners of any magnitude!
Seriously, that was an incredible final boss fight. Was not doing too well even before the landlord and then... had about the same reaction as main character when Jesus showed up. I needed a miracle to beat the landlord and umm... well I guess I got what I asked for haha.
You're probably getting this comment a lot, but like this is freakin' amazing being done in 48 hours. Coup of Appliance is very complete and cohesive, feels like a proper balanced RPG! Loved it!
Really impressive game! Really cool usage of constraints, specially in the animation, it felt perfectly in line with the overall vibe! It felt to me like a cool combination between Omori and NHK ni youkoso, which makes a lot of sense aesthetically! :) Really interesting vibe, cool soundtrack, quite nice visuals, a really solid entry! In the game's combat, I felt that not having to choose which enemy you are attacking when there's only one felt a lil' bit weird, even tho having to select is kind of redundant in this cases, I feel that it maintains the structure of the clicks and it helps a lot with the flow when you're just selecting everything really fast. That said, the combat is really well done and impressive for a jam entry! Is responsive, the clicks are very crispy and is really well organized. I just found out about having skills in the defend action in the very last battle of the game (cause many JRPGs teached me defending was not really needed most of the time XD), and I thought it is a very cool concept, it feels very fresh, make the whole defending thing be much more useful instead of the traditional guard! :) Overall a really cook work, super polished and well designed. Playing through it was really nice! Thank you for the game 😸 Captura de tela 2026-10-27 154659.png
