Such a nice and relaxing vibe! Loved the background music. The gameplay is fun and has a lot of potential !Снимок экрана 2025-04-08 230955.png
Very nice ambient – cool concept, but pressing just one button feels unpleasant and boring.
I think I need a YouTuber in the corner of the screen to fully enjoy this :D But yeah, the graphics are really cool! It would be even better if you removed that weird black cube in front of the screen — it looks like my GPU just died.
I won! ok
Ah, this ability-picking mechanic immediately reminded me of Sonic Adventure :) But yeah, the controls are a bit clunky, like some others have already mentioned. Not sure why you decided to put dash on S — I honestly only got through the section where you need it on my 15th try. The enemies feel way too tanky, it’s easier to just skip them. It’s cool that you don’t take away abilities on death — that would’ve been really frustrating. The art is well done, and the music and sounds are pleasant. Good luck!
The game feels nice to play! Honestly, when I played through the first level, I thought the main mechanic felt kind of like Sonic — like, the rings are your HP. Actually, it even felt like the gameplay would fit perfectly as a mini-game in a new Sonic title, maybe something where you get to fly Tails’ plane.
The visuals are awesome, and the music really sets the right mood.
On the downside, I didn’t quite understand what the rings actually do — I didn’t really notice any change in speed. Also, the game felt a bit stretched out. I think it would be better if the repetitive parts were shortened, and all the unique sections were combined into a single level with checkpoints.
Such a nice-looking game!! But I think the oxygen mechanic could maybe be removed — it feels like the game would be more fun if you could explore the depths more calmly. Right now, the oxygen just forces you to go back up every now and then, which kind of breaks the flow.
Where do I find the password...? It's interesting that there's a game just to start the game — but I'm just a casual player, I couldn't figure it out :(
I like the music, but the game is hard at the start — I didn't really understand what to do. Also, your Ludum Dare link to the game on itch.io leads to 'Tiny Pack' instead :)
Great tutorial! I love how the first level teaches everything clearly. Not a fan of how slow the ball moves, and restarting from the very beginning after losing is a bit frustrating.
The visuals are awesome — I really liked the artwork in the menu: stylish and even a bit calming. The music is good too, but after a while, the repeating notes start to get a bit overwhelming
As for the gameplay, to be honest, I didn’t really figure it out — after 10 minutes I barely managed to catch a single fish. The game feels pretty difficult.
The chase ambient is cool, but I didn’t fully understand the mechanic: I just kept smashing the spacebar until I flew off the edge of the map, and the fish seemed to fall behind. Maybe it’d be worth adding invisible walls or some kind of boundary to prevent leaving the map.
May be you try to load new archive? Same error
Okay, I beat it. The game is definitely a bit strange. The music has a nice atmospheric feel to it, but it doesn’t really fit the art style. The main character’s sprite lags and shrinks when taking damage, and he doesn’t turn left, which makes the combat feel less impactful. Also, web build doesn't work. The art is quite cute overall, but the pixel sizes are inconsistent, which breaks the visual cohesion a bit.
But yeah, it's cool that you got experience from this jam—continue growing in game dev and learn from your mistakes :)Снимок экрана 2025-04-09 202007.png
I really love how your game looks and sounds, but it's really hard — I couldn't make it to the second oxygen point :(
It's so much fun trying to fly on food! But honestly, the game is really hard.
@neeck-kola I don’t understand how to throw the big food into the hole. Also, the text in this message box is glitching — it changes every frame. I was only able to read what it said when I tried to take a screenshot to send you this feedback. But overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere of your game
This text panel glitching on my pc: !Снимок экрана 2025-04-08 231710.png
Really interesting idea around the theme of “depth” — the core mechanic is awesome! It would work great as a couple of standalone levels in a bigger horror game. I was missing some scary monster sounds (though I get that it’s better not to make it too scary for Ludum Dare :)) It also could’ve used a cooldown indicator for the scanner — it’s unclear how long you have to wait. And maybe either reset all 5 scans at once, or add some kind of punishment for standing still — right now, waiting for all 5 to recharge feels a bit too safe.
Cool movement mechanics — but the controls are really hard to understand. Great job on your first jam!
Very nice game! At first, I didn’t really understand what was going on with the generator — it kept exploding all the time. I only figured it out after reading your description and seeing the tip about building the Farm and the Nuke at the start.
After that, I got to relax a bit, just listening to the game’s ambient sounds, thinking about the monsters deep below (the sound design there is great!), and waiting to collect all the metal and other resources.
But in the end, I couldn’t figure out how to build paper — so I never got the submarine and couldn't finish the game :(
The color palette is excellent - it makes the game pleasant to look at despite the simple graphics. The gameplay works well and reminds me of Vampire Survivors. Upgrades feel nice to get, though I’m not sure why there’s no random choice between them. Combat feels satisfying, but it quickly turns into holding both mouse buttons and walking in circles until the monsters gather into a safe clump. This is slightly balanced by the varied spawn timing, but I’d still love to see at least one more enemy type. Sounds are fine. Great job, and good luck with your future projects!
I really liked the atmosphere - the color palette feels warm and pleasant. The music fits perfectly and really helps set the mood. When the two stone guys kissed at the end - that genuinely made me smile! The only thing that felt a bit inconvenient was that the controls don’t adapt to the camera angle. It’s a short but very enjoyable experience - great work!
It took me a moment to understand the idea - the fact that you shouldn’t collect the coins feels funny and unexpected. The core mechanic is solid, and the level design has a nice amount of variety. Momentum can be a bit tricky to control, especially on the level where you have to fly over the gap at the start - it would feel smoother if it built up not only after jumping. I really liked the background art. Good game, nice work guys!
I hated that damn glasses-wearing mouse!!! I’m terrible at games like this, so beating the boss was really tough - but also super satisfying! The retro vibe is awesome - music and visuals work perfectly together. Fantastic game!
I was honestly shocked that the game just started instantly. My pure programmer’s respect to you for that - it’s super cool!
Really cool atmosphere - the ambient background sound alone creates a great sense of dread. I wasn’t a fan of the inverted controls though; I couldn’t quite figure out what triggers them. The text messages at the bottom were a bit hard to read - they move quickly and look pretty small on my 2560×1440 monitor. But any good horror game lives through its atmosphere - and this one nails it. Great work!
Interesting puzzle game - the graphics look fun, and the core idea is cool! It fits the theme well and has its own unique charm. The background music is really chill and fits the vibe perfectly, but the item pickup sounds started to get a bit annoying after a while. Nice work!
The puzzles really clicked for me. It’s a simple but addictive logic game with a great atmosphere - I especially loved the feeling of flying through space; it definitely has a bit of a Star Wars vibe :). I had a great time!
I really liked the movement mechanics – it would be interesting to use it somewhere :)
Fun! It was very nice to play. Good job!
I cried at the end. The narrative turned out to be very relevant to me =)
At first, the music seemed out of place. Like, you expect to hear some kind of monotonous, mystical piano. But in the end, I’m sure the cheerful and life-affirming tone of the music fits the narrative perfectly.
Very interesting puzzles - they were really enjoyable to solve.
Fun! I love the graphics and atmosphere. At first, when I started playing, I thought I needed to parry those balls to defeat the boss XD
I get Balatro-like vibes. I love your music and the game feel.
Cool sounds and visuals! They are creating really creepy atmosphere. Good job!
Nice visuals. I like your black and white color palette with the vibrant colors of the souls. I think if you adjusted the camera angle a little, it could look better.
I bought all the upgrades, but I don't understand my goal. I connected new beacons, but I didn't understand why I was doing it. No matter how much I played, there were too many of them to just go and collect them all.
Also, a point about optimization: please limit the FPS in Unreal Engine projects. My gaming laptop rebooted from overheating XD
I love Ludum Dare so much because you can stumble across not just a game, but an instrument or even a complex graphic model. The funniest thing is that they even hit the "theme." It's a fun synthesizer, I played on it :) The design is beautiful, but I want more features.
31/31! This is the best game I've played in this jam. You created a creepy and satisfying mechanic with such a small amount of assets! Impressive!
nice!!
Wow, this little game gives me such an Interstellar-like feeling. It’s simple, but incredibly polished. I really love it. When first text appears, I get goosebumps.
Nice idea! But yeah, like others, I don't really understand what’s going on here or how my signals affect the ships. It would be easier if I could use my keyboard to send signals.
Amazing game! Reminded me of those games with the SCP.
It was a little difficult to understand the monster's behavior pattern at first—that it reacted to running and scanning. It would have been clearer if it only reacted to scanning or if you were standing too close to it.
I really liked the sounds and the mechanics themselves. It was cool to see the full game with this version of Lidar. We need different enemies and more detailed environments.
The way the text glitches with missing letters is sweet! I think, it's so cool to see something like this as mini-game inside a larger project. Atmosphere is nice and game perfectly fits the theme. Great job!
I really enjoyed this game. The graphics create such a cozy, mystical atmosphere. I also love how each section feels like its own little game.
If you expanded the mechanics from the second section and added more minigames, you could easily turn it into a full story-driven game!
It was funny to watch a huge face made of numbers flying around XD Simple, but strongly fit theme
I love this aesthetics! It's something like old-internet-websites-core? XD
However, I think it needs more gameplay. I’m not talking about deep mechanics, but maybe just some walking or jumping—something where a player (like me) can satisfy their "ADHD" while listening to what that robo-voice says. And you definitely should add subtitles for the robo-voice.
I think you really should make a full game with this style! Good luck!
A very polished game! At first, it takes a while to figure out what's going on. I just destroy every meteorite I see =) After that, I can just fly to any planet and use repairs.
P.S. On my 4K screen, the interface is very small.
