I understood why it was necessary to publish devlogs during development, and it immediately hooked me. The background sound is perfect. Interesting idea and mechanics. It's relaxing.

good idea, but i already clean my house every 2 months, so why would i do chores on my computer.
Cool idea for the game mechanics, I like the idea of managing the trash pickups and everything. Love the combination with that and the fireballs, and using that for light. Neat combo of stuff
The mop mechanics felt a lil out of place to me. It was pretty easy to ignore the mess entirely. However, when trying to clean it, things would get out of control quickly if you make too much of a mess, while cleaning it back up would get tedious. If you continue this, it'd be really cool if there was some meaningful interactions between spills and fireballs, or using mop water on fires.
I like the art, whole thing looks good. I like the music too, although some of the higher pitched sounds are a bit loud. Just a nitpick, I do like the sound overall
Nice game! Why'd you have to make me kill the pizza mage though?? :(
@swooty Because he is the cause of all this garbage =)
i didn't really get why i would ever use the mop. sliding around was fun. the concept of having the hand be controlled by the mouse but be locked to an area around the character was cool. and the change in atmosphere when it got darker was chilling to my bon es.
A original idea for the theme ! It's really fun. I think there is to much things to wipe but it can also be intentional. Good job !
I like the music, but the game is hard at the start — I didn't really understand what to do. Also, your Ludum Dare link to the game on itch.io leads to 'Tiny Pack' instead :)
I was stuck in this game for a long time because I really wanted to see a clean location.💗
It is soooo peak 1744141649-wayshot.png

Really fun! The cute character design is nice and I love the background music and how it slowly gets more eerie as you go deeper!
@disvent Oh, thanks for pointing out the mistake in the link. I used 'Tiny Pack' as a reference for the itch.io page layout =)
@senkoso @zatrit @clare-chan1738 you are legends!

I tried to apply the same strategy as IRL, I mean collect minimum trash so I can throw fireballs then reach darker depth and пицца ahaha :) The ending was quite funny, I can feel that real events vibe, hope you didn't throw fireballs at your friend... I love this main character, it reminds me some old games monsters such as Chuckya from mario or Wonderboy dragon's land faeries... Finally he's playable. The gameplay could be enhanced a little bit bu a larger hitbox I guess, or full keyboard control ? sometimes i felt like i was spamming clicks to do what i wanted aha :) Also music was quite perfect, and I like mouth-done-sfx. It feels like u were having a fun time there. здоровье !
unlike @clare-chan1738 I managed to leave almost everything dirty when I finished the game haha, just need mana for fireballs I guess! Had a fantastic time with this one!
"Inspired by real events" I felt that one. Such a nice execution, nice graphics and sfx. Good mechanic to spread footprints on the ground when you step on goop. Also nice to be able to carry the buckets. Small useful bug, if you're carrying a bucket and press 3 then you spawn a bucket under you then you can press 1 to get a free bucket :smile: Very nice entry :100:
what a wonderful entry! And a truly inspired evolution of the 'satisfying cleaning games' - adding the mana turns trash removal from 'just a gratifying chore' to a 'charging up' pursuit. Really changes the feeling of the game loop - awesome work! Shocked to see how tactile and engaging this game was - something about limiting the radius of the grasp and the pick-up/put-down mechanics really draws you into the character way more than you'd expect. The wonderful visuals and goody sfx help as well - but I did not expect to be so attached! Enjoyable and satisfying throughout! And a compo game?? You should be very proud!
Cool theme for the game, good visuals and musical accompaniment, and also a fun game, thank you!
What a unique and cool take on the theme! I really love that you made so many of the sound effects (and the music) with just your voice/mouth, and the fading out/changing of the music as you get deeper adds so much to the atmosphere.
lol, the "inspired by real events"!
Super calming game, I got really entranced by cleaning up the various hallways. I feel like I got really good at it too, the smooth sweeping, making sure to not step into it and you're not creating more footsteps. Later juggling it with the fireball selection for light. There's a lot of things going on in this game and it feels really good when you get a good flow going, it's very well-crafted! The guitar music is a nice fit as well, I like how it adjusts over time, the darker it gets and the closer you get to the "source". Great job, very well done!
inspired with real events, huh? good idea) i like how hand regarding current action and funny style and music) nice game!
Interesting mechanics. I like the whole cleaning idea but enjoyed the fireballs in particular. Cool submission. :P
Such a nice cozy/puzzle game! The difficulty scales well and the music is very soothing. Nice play on the theme and mechanics. Well done!
A game very well done on the technical side, it's nice to move around and slide on garbage, it has good sounds and I liked how the music changed by going deeper. However the gameplay loop gets old a bit fast. Nice game overall for a compo !
Don't take this the wrong way, but chores do not a good game premise make. The execution is solid, tracking slime on the floor and everything -- it's like I'm a real life janitor. But why on earth would I want to subject myself to that in a game? :)
Unlike some comments, I actually like the premise of cleaning in games -- it's different and relaxing! A lot of simulation games have very menial tasks so I am all up for it. It's a solid entry that feels quite polished. Art is good, sound is good, it plays well. :)
What a fun and cute take on a dungeon crawler. It's a great juxtaposition with the kinds of mechanics you'd typically expect (even the fireball was for cleaning!). I also like the relationship between the three cleaning mechanics and how they feed into each other.
I did find the gameplay itself a little repetitive. I initially planned to clean everything, but it quickly became tedious and I just beelined for the end. The amount of time it takes to cart each bag of trash over to the garbage can, for example, or the Sisyphean task of mopping up after your own slippery footsteps, got boring pretty fast. It's not challenging, but it takes a lot of time. I might try either adding something else to engage/challenge the player, or making these tasks themselves a little more interesting to do.
Overall, great work! It's an adorable game.
Impressive for 48 hours, I thought it was a Jam game. I did find it fun and very frustrating (in a good way) to be cleaning the mess but then accidently making the mess lol. I think having each area cut off until it was clean enough would help, since players are probably just going to clean enough to move on and not get 100%. And I was not a fan of the way dirty mop and dirty water worked together, I kinda wished the water wouldn't ever get dirty because it felt more like a chore having to get clean water after JUST cleaning the mop, again my personal take. Again, good game, unique and interesting. Not something you see every game doing.
Also I left this game on my PC for a few days and planned on coming back to beat it, so no one will beat my time. Screenshot 2025-04-17 125802.png
Very cool music!
@beeb-gamecodecompany Absolute record!
At first I was very bothered by the fact that the game forced me to go back to get buckets and clean trash. Only figured the mechanic that fireballs destroy trash bags at the very end :sob: But overall very solid game, loved how it went for a horror vibe but with a funny ending. Loved playing this!
