I liked everything about the audio in this game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD59 → too late

I liked everything about the audio in this game.
I love that you tried something more experimental, but this wasn't for me. The visuals worked with the audio to set the mood, but the audio itself was at points straight up painful. The lengths where there nothing but audio cues where it sounded like speech but I couldn't make out what it was that was being said, made me question if there was some input I needed to do but was not just hearing the instructions.
OMG this is a amzing artwork!!! Can't believe it is done by only one author in 72 hrs. Excellent visual expression with excellent sound effect and music. The whole story starts from a bit confusing and abstract to deeper understatnding of the whole thing and made me to think about the philosophical concept behind. I love the whole idea and the way of stream of consciousness express. Most importanly, i think the game is pefectly link to the theme of signal and I really like the way of interaction to connect/recieve the signal during the game.
Veeery cool atmosphere in the game, audio visuals also very high. I feel some psycho pressure while playing this game
I now its very personal, **BUT I REALLY LOVE THIS DREAMCORE VIBE.** This game was such I great experience for me, that I even don't now, should I rate it or not... *Cause I dreamed of a game like this lol*. Rating would be too personal... It kept the pressure all the play time. Goosebumps didn't leave almost for the entire session, and the ending is such a catharsis... Really love the implementation of the theme. However, I think it would be nice to have opportunity to skip these "sam-voiced-retrieving-signals" scenes. At some point, they become very boring. But, man, you should really implement your skills into something bigger. You'll definitely find your "analog-horror" based auditory. `Thankies for such an outstanding entry :>` !> R
Nice novel, a lot of deep thoughts. I really love it
Excellent work, superb sound design. Could you please tell me what filters you use or where I can find instructions on how to make them? I feel like I've heard them before, please help.
@alexey-bobrovskiy, hi!! are you talking about visual or audio filters? if you are using unity, i am using basic urp global volume filters, for pixelation i have set the render scale in urp asset to something like 0.3. for text effects i have just picked some basic fonts, stretched them, and edited their sdf materials (this is an interesting thing, you can play with the settings here). if you are talking about that robotic voice, search for "software automatic mouth", that's what is used for this effect. anyways, which filters are you referencing to?
in looove with this esoteric dreamcore weirdcore thing going on and im just in love with this game overall
beautiful visuals and a strong atmosphere.
the game felt a bit unresponsive at times, and it was sometimes unclear whether it was waiting for input or had frozen. it would be nice to have an option to speed up dialogues.
there’s a distinct vibe with all the distortion and glitchy visuals, i could totally see this working well in an art gallery setting
I know a game is gonna be good when the itch.io page is an art piece. What a transcendental experience. I'm going to play your whole catalog, your games are gorgeous. Please, continue making them as long as they bring you joy, they're something really special. Well done!!
It was an interesting and unusual experience; the game immerses you in its atmosphere.
This is exactly why Ludum Dare is great. You get to experience stuff like this outlandish game. I absolutely love it. The visuals are fantastic, even when they are desperately horrible. It just fits perfectly.
I was feeling like the prayers were dragging on a little, but when I figured out I could parse part of those messages in-between and thus see the progression, it was fine. Also this game very deliberately is quite high friction, and I think it works. So I don't think I have much feedback other than maybe consider not...
!> using the same years early on so that the player if they hear that bit don't dismiss it as always the same year as I falsely did...

Interesting concept! Lovely dream-horror vibes, but it felt like it dragged on a bit between interaction points. I am a bit of a fidgety player though, so maybe that's just me.
very cool graphics and audio. there were some quite long unskippable pauses/dark screens which tended to get confusing as i didn't understand if the game was working properly.
plus vibe, i'm fulfilled
i loved loved the game!! yes i did get a bit confused in the begining but thats completly normal with more conceptual games. The audio and graphics were so impressive plus the stories that were told really touched me, it took me a minute to decide how to react. I also looked at your other games and again the graphics and the whole vibe are amazing! cant wait to see more of your work. thank you for such an amazing entry
What a complete and long gameplay experience! The level of completion is incredibly high! I absolutely love this unique style—the crazy mix of fonts, the bizarre font stretching, and the jagged edges/aliasing/blurring... It's very wild and incredibly effective, giving the whole game a weirdcore feel. The audio effects are also amazing! It has such a great atmosphere! The few visuals are also beautifully arranged; I especially love the frame with the angels lining up... The Itchio page is stunning too!
what a wild ride. it’s hard for me to review something like this since it’s so different from a more traditional game, but I think I enjoyed it. overall, everything feels like it fits together really well.
I did have a bit of a hard time parsing the audio, and I found myself starting to tune it out early on, which might have affected my experience.
The horror atmosphere is very well executed, and the audio does a great job enhancing the immersion. I really enjoyed the experience ! This is a very solid entry.
t's too bad there's no webgl build
@attentionadmin i tried making it but there were some issues with audio effects and pixelation filter so i decided to keep only the win build
Very cool graphics and atmosphere, I would say that the audio was very very hard to understand all of the time in that abrasive robot voice. Still had a fun time with the concept, Good job :)
I love this aesthetics! It's something like old-internet-websites-core? XD
However, I think it needs more gameplay. I’m not talking about deep mechanics, but maybe just some walking or jumping—something where a player (like me) can satisfy their "ADHD" while listening to what that robo-voice says. And you definitely should add subtitles for the robo-voice.
I think you really should make a full game with this style! Good luck!
**!Spoiler alert! *(ig, lol)*** !> I felt better to delete it :>
Holy peak! What an etherial experience! The visuals and audio are out of this world and the ending sequence was so authentically pleasing and hit just right
Our game designer likes to classify stuff as "shoegaze" as a compliment and I think this is the most shoegaze thing this ludum has to offer. @dogshroom check it out
Loved it. The aesthetics are peak. It is shoegaze indeed.
