Hahaha have a fun time on this :wink: congratz !
Just tested the 2 versions on my W11 computer and none of them are working :sob:
Good design, a bit too hard for my skills though :sweat_smile: Goog job :wink:
Yeah, that's a cool game very nice polished graphics and good concept, a bit long to beat the boss but very well designed ! :two_hearts:
Incredible art direction and music (progression is so satisfying !). LOVE IT :two_hearts: However, I managed to get to the end after only 3-4 tries when I realize I could click mouse in continue to make controlled jumps everytime. Do not know if this is intended, but it breaks somehow the game :sweat_smile:
Really enjoyed this game, very polished and fun :love:
Really cool concept, polished gfx, as well as audio is perfectly sync with the drill, love it !
A damn good looking game :stars:
OMG ! Wow, i love this ! Finished the game, really impressive game feel and arts :heart:
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !
A bit hard but good idea ! :v:
So satisfying game with great gfx, sfx & music ! :heart:
Really cool game, i like the CRT mood of it, animations, level design WOW The only blemish I noticed is that the audio (SFX+MUSIC) is glitching a bit from time to time (HTM5 on itch.io), do not know if i'm the only one with this issue or not. Very nice job ! Congratz !
@lightningst I was playing on Google Chrome (last version I assume)
So funny and well designed game ! Love it :heart:
This a rather addictive design, well done ! :heart:
Simple, greatly designed, sharp arts, I enjoyed it :)
Perfect arcade game :heart: I love it ! Pixelart & musik is soooo good ! Good job !
Impressive :) Great atmosphere, good graphics and fantastic sound design !
Cool game with nice and simple graphics, good music, but a bit too hard for me ^^'
WHAT A GAME :star2: Amazing gfx/sfx/music, game design is so refined and game feel is absolutly engaging :two_hearts: Good job guys, this is one of the best games of this jam I played !
Nice game ! :fish:
Enjoyed it ! Nice game overall, well polished :)
I love this game, beautifully crafted, everthing is polished, really enjoyed my time (renember me The whitness <3). Great job guys :D (best game so far for this jam)
Well designed game !
Excellent work, I've just played for nearly 30min, this is a really good design, art direction is funny, everything's solid :heartpulse:
I really enjoyed playing this game, very polished, excellent atmosphere and game feel ! :heartpulse:
Really like your minimalist pixel arts :) great game ! It works ! Good sound design also.
A bit short but a good start :)
I tried to run the exe but i've got a system error "lacking VCRUNTIME140.dll", any clue ?
Very good job on the retro 16bits pixel arts ! Design is also solid :) Liked it :wink:
Art is incredible !
I really like the game feel of the submarine with inertia etc :) Another good point is the shop between each run, kind of addictive !! As well as random generation of levels (even if sometimes it conducts to little rooms we cannot go to :p) No real bad points, good job ;)
Excellent proposition =) love this pixelart style and PICO-8 Flavor <3
Good idea & nice gameplay.
Good game concept with incredible gfx, maybe just one little advice to improve the game feel for future versions (if you plan to) : it really lacks some visual and sfx feedbacks, for visual, you can just add some tween animation to your cards to insist on damage taken/done, what type of shield is touched etc (https://docs.godotengine.org/fr/4.x/classes/class_tween.html). For SFX, you can either choose some online sfx generator like sfxr https://sfxr.me/ or dig some CC0 audio files on https://opengameart.org/ (i'm sure you can find here some satisfying card noises ^^) Congratz btw !
That is sure a good design with a beautiful art direction, some interrogations though on the overall experience: - Why did you make movement this complex ? Making require to select player before moving is feeling not very user friendly :wink: - Also, why did you make "points of interest" to follow in order to move from upstais to downtairs etc ? - Finally, have a camera following the character would be great :) But still very niiiiice game and good concept ! :two_hearts:
A good start but needs to be polished a little bit and this is for the moment way to easy to survive !
Really cool & fun experience is proposed with a strong graphic proposition, good job ! :heart:
This game is soooo cool, simple but so fun ! ! [Sans titre.png](///raw/cac/36/z/6bfc4.png)
Funny game, congratz to you and your kids !
Wow what a nice little game :heart: Very good game design idea :wink: Good job !
@shores thank you very much for this feedback ! Much appreciated ! :)
@greenradiation thank you so much for this feedback ! :) Yes, the game is not very long once you understand what to do !
@tive @mrmanguy @slay-a-stone thank you for your feedback !
Thank you so much for your feedback !!! @monogatari @510 @beebster-games
@piero-pbes-studio sorry about that, we'll try to make a debugged HTML5 version soon
@kamuniaft Thank you so much ! I'm really happy you appreciate it, honestly it was a certain challenge for us, first time we tried to make a game just a team of 2 (usually 4 guys in our team...).
@ngryyyyy @jelch @disvent thanks !
@disvent this should not be this hard, once you understood how the submarine engine works ;)
@batisdark thank you for this feedback !! hmm not sure to understand the problem, but you're not the first one to indicate O2 refills are too far from each other. I do not really know why it is a problem for some players ^^' Did you notice O2 refill is not immediate when you're in air pocket ? You have to wait to be fully refilled (sound fx is helping here). Arrows should always help you find correct paths and avoid incorrect ones. Maybe that can also help you @nuin (second oxygen pocket is really close to the beginning on the right). @exofrenon Thanks so much <3 You're right, we are pretty motivated to do a larger scale game with this first shot :)
@Batisdark @apoly @NuiN Hi guys, thank you again for your tests ! Really appreciated :) I just had a discussion with my brother @notsu (the game coder) concerning this problem , seems we might have a problem in the time calculation : it seems not to be a fixed update between each O2 depleted tick, making it faster on higher CPU configuration and slower on less powerful configuration. Leading to all the problems you noticed ^^' We'll try to make an update in the coming days (as well as an HTML5 working export).
@texugo thank you :D
@lyamgtt @mamboman Thanks :grin:
@batisdark @apoly @NuiN hello guys, we just released a patch version if you want to try gain :wink:
@piero-pbes-studio we now have a correct HTML5 version if you want to test it :wink:
@apoly thx ! Yes we should definitely tweak somehow the difficulty a bit in future releases ! As well as expand this first level a little bit, and adding tons of other ideas :star2:
@neowhoru thank you for this feedback :thumbsup: I absolutly agree that it is a bit short and lacks a bit of challenge, we'd like to continue to develop this game and improve it.
@velis69 Thank you ! I'll do it comrade ! :wink:
@nuin thank you to have come back to test the game :thumbsup:
@nuclearextravaganza @pcho thank you so much guys :bow:
@ammonit oh thank you for your kind comment, btw the fish skeleton was one the first tile I wanted to have in the game :smile:
@CodeRaurus @leorean thank you for your feedback ! :smiley:
@coderaurus yes we agree with my bro that thruster should not work this way and maybe have something more 360° without breaking the current feeling. Your remark on UI is also on the way, as there is only 2 colors, the important UI should be more visible !
@sangheli thank you for your feedback and for the icon suggestion but i'd rather prefer a 1bit palette+square one :wink:
@clink Thank you so much for this detailed feedback ! About level design, we are aware of this design problem, the path to the finish was made in the last hours of the project, with the help signs indicating O2 refills because we thought it was too hard at the beginning but finally it is too easy :laughing: and no, to answer honestly it was not intended to be doable in a straight way :sob: :wink:
@aune Thank you !! Music took me about one and a half hour, my first idea was to use a "tracker" style software with 8bit or 16bit constraints (NES/SNES) to have something in the same mood as the 1bit pixelart, but due to the lack of time I had to choose a more simple approach with a software I was using for years, sometimes you can take risks sometimes not :smiley: (but i really want to try to remake the music on a tracker to see if it fits better the general mood)
@j-rara Thank you :smile: and really happy that you got fun on the game :blush:
@egor-iv @euler-moises @librory thanks guys ! :smiley:
@ditam oh thank you so much :heart: yes we are surely going to make a real game from this early prototype :smile:
@shadyshade @piero-pbes-studio thanks guys ! :smile: @piero-pbes-studio You can steal the idea :wink:
@ace17 @tygrak @johnnysix @momotiktik @yorsh Thank you so much guys, I really appreciate the time you spend on the game and the time you spend on rating & commenting, glad you liked the experience :smiley:
@ace17 yes you're right, about SFX, a little reverb will certainly make it blend with the rest of the soundscape :thumbsup: thanks !
@yorsh we're planning to work on something a bit longer than this prototype !
@phasmantic thank you :smiley:
@jacobingalls thank you for give it a try and your nice feedback ! Yes, game is waayy too short, we'll fix that very soon :wink:
Hey ! I think your itch.io links are incorrect !? Seems to be https://shiftfox.itch.io/abyssal-descent no ? Will try your game now :)
Nice overall experience ! Well done :wink:
Good job ! :heart:
Good job ! Nice concept and design as well ;)
For a first shot, it is a pretty nice game ! Congratz !
Simple & addictive game :)
Yeah ! Good game, very polished and addictive for just 2 days of work :) great job !
What a fantastic nice and well designed game :two_hearts: Arts are insanely beautiful and pretty :grin: There is just some little collision problem when you're not well aligned with the tiles you want to go, but it may be a pico-8 limitation ? idk Very good job btw :wink:
What an ambiance ! Really good idea, reminds me Terminator stuff :wink: gj :smiley:
With some calm music and a bit of sfx, it would have been a perfect experience. It is so satisfying to gather all leaves together, love it ! :two_hearts: Good Job !!! :wink:
This a pretty game with a nice and clean concept :clap: Well done :wink:
This is pure COKAINE ! So addictive ! And indredible arts, sfx & music :heart_eyes: Indredible job :pray:
Nice ! :smile:
Nice game, well done !
Really cool concept and game design ! :wink:
nice game :wink:
@bigtasty @ludumdaredevil thank you for your feedback ! Yeah, a bit difficult to avoid hunter starting round 4, agree !
@ace17 @frib @ckane144 thank you so much for playing and for your nice comments ! :pray:
@kseniya I do not know this reference :laughing: btw thanks for your time playing and nice comment !
@alstegodev that's something we noticed, pretty easy to go to level 4 then the hell's coming :fire: thank you so much for your comment :smile:
@b0guslaw Hooo ! That's the idea ! But would not have thought it could be confusing :rofl: Thank you, we spend many time doing handcrafted art :pick:
@flying-dog-fish Yeah ! I did not make it behond level 4... but did not sleep much since yesterday ! :smirk: Thank you, quacking was a last minute idea when composing the music... :duck:
@rubentipparach you're right, the physics is a bit weird here :sweat_smile: well noted ! Thanks for playing and commenting :pray:
@emilija-marija thanks a lot !!! We were hoping to make something fun and as polished as we could :sweat_smile:
@sassages at first, we wanted to make reverse hunting : so as hunters are collecting hunting trophees of the animals they killed, we wanted our little duck to collect 6 hunters heads... we changed our mind as it could not be done (6 different hunters wiht a good level of detail needs time, more than what we had) and also it was a bit bloody, and I wanteds to stay funny not gore. Thanks for playing and commenting ! Much appreciated :pray:
@tranceplant thanks ! You mean music/sound too loud ?
@skylone :rofl: why not !
@freeworld Haha ! Thanks, yeah the order was not random :spy: thanks !
@ditam thank you so much !
@wolderado :smile: thanks !
@hifire yes, the "floaty" is somehow intended, @notsu made a special recipe between "floaty" duck movements and more or less drunkalicious hunter aiming :tada: thank you for playing !
@el-pepi @philocode @juanrod707 thanks dudes ! Yeah, it's very hard by the 4th round ! :gun:
@philocode yes this option would be good ! :loud_sound:
@zungryware Dude !! Thank you so much for your youtube review and for all your comments ! :pray:
Much appreciated ! :wink:
To answer some of your questions : - Yes music was made by me ! :duck: - For lacks of animation on reload, we did not take the time to implement it (it is done...), there should be a "rest" time and then a reload time more or less long (so 2 animations - rest and reload - are done but not currently in game, one of them can be seen on the title screen though) - Difficulty is a bit weird and many of you noticed it, somehow easy till level 4 and then really hard (the curve could have been better, to prevent first levels to be such a formality)
Thank you also for your play time & comments @anaticula @kupnu4 @naru (This was not designed to be played DRUNK ! :rofl:) @koolruz @damyyr @mamboman @milq
@truedat @knosvoxel thank you ! I did not find a good way to compose a good ingame music during the weekend, maybe i could have just put the intro music at a lower volume.
@gwhyang :rofl: I think you try that on first round no ? Hunter is really drunk at this round :sweat_smile:
@wouter52 @split82 @jacobingalls thank you for your lovely feedbacks dudes ! :grin: :open_hands:
@kalbshack @sarah @wouter52 thank you :pray:
A damn good concept ! And a strong visual and audio experience ! Well done :clap: :heart_eyes:
good concept but did not understand everything ! :sweat_smile:
What a silly & nice concept ! Good Job overall :smile:
Nice game :wink: with good arts and a cool concept :smile:
Nice game :wink: well done !
Damn ! That's an experience :rofl:
Simple, clean and efficiently designed game :wink: Did you use AI only for code or also for graphic/UI design ?
Hey ! Really nice "Vampire Survivor" like game with a great idea based on wave length :clap: Maybe ennemies are becoming overwhelming a bit too soon ? And had often 2 times the same powerup on the 3 choice pop up :smile: Good job on the art aspect, really well done for a solo game in 48 hours ! :wink:
Good idea ! :smiley: Was stuck at one of the first stage :sweat_smile: 2026-04-21 22_32_04-Clipboard.png what is wrong with meee :rofl:
Great concept dude ! This atmosphere is incredible :heart_eyes: Very well polished game :clap:
FAMITRACKER MUSIIIIIIIC :heart: :heart: :heart: Really well designed retro game a-like !! Dialogs are soooo fun, great job ! :wink:
Wow, incredible entry ! Very nice game :clap: :pray:
Seems great but could not make it work correctly on a AZERTY keyboard :sob:
Good game! The core loop is functional. You don't go easy on the player either—it's quite a brutal start! :eyes: With a bit more 'juice' and a smoother difficulty curve, it would be even better. Congrats on finishing the jam! :tada:
What a mood & music !! Wow nice job on this amazing game :two_hearts:
Very good proposition ! :muscle:
Awesome game proposition, nice and very solidly designed :two_hearts: Very good job !! :heart_eyes:
Very interesting concept ! Good job :smile:
Very nice proposition ! :clap:
Cool Game GJ ! :wink:
2026-04-27 18_41_37-Clipboard.png
So funny and good mood game ! I had a lot of fun :clap:
So funny and satisfying incremental game, you all made a great job ! :clap: (especially fan of this gorgeous musiiic)
@yorsh @julienlussiez @xotraz @euler-moises @toshiy I really want to thank you all for your feedback and for the time you spent reviewing the game! 🙏 :two_hearts:
@yorsh Yeah, I see exactly what you mean! One of my friends (who is also making a game for this LD) told me the same thing: some puzzle addicts might be thrown off by the twist. I was thinking about having two modes—Classic Puzzle and Action Puzzle—but time caught up with me! 😂
@julienlussiez I totally agree! I really love the limitations of this fantasy console. 😍
@xotraz Yes, it’s a bit jarring, almost like a totally different game! Did you find it too hard to get "Perfect" scores on the levels?
@euler-moises A fellow PICO-8 fan! ✌️ Thanks so much. I saw your screenshot—looks like you have 23 more "Perfect" ranks to go! Good luck! 😄
@toshiy :two_hearts:
@pocketdog @el-chivo-vivo @flowerfield-games @maxededo @tykki19 @python-b5 Wow, thank you so much for these amazing comments! It means a lot to see so many different perspectives on the game. 🙏✨
@pocketdog Thanks for the heads-up on the audio! Balancing sounds is always tricky in 48h, I’ll definitely turn down that main pin in a future update! 🔈📉
@el-chivo-vivo & @flowerfield-games "Mental sharpness meets reflexes"—you nailed it! Glad you enjoyed the mix of genres. 🧠⚡
@maxededo I totally get that. Having a "planning phase" before the signal starts would be a great addition to lower the stress a bit! 😅
@tykki19 Go for it! PICO-8 is a wonderful tool, you're going to love the limitations. 👾
@python-b5 Huge congrats on completing the whole game with "Perfect" scores! 🏆 That’s impressive. You're right about the difficulty plateau; I should have explored that "double-mirror" mechanic more. Thanks for the deep dive into the gameplay, that's super helpful for my next project!
@duckmaniac @Prismapunch @DrSmey @voxar @ZedGame @Makintosh @PaulMag @nullval @Mikan @Tetrergeru @HolySparks @yopox @Bloodbane
I'm blown away by this new wave of feedback! Seeing a video playthrough and end-screen screenshots is the best reward for a jam developer. Thank you all! :pray: :sparkles:
@Prismapunch Mouse support is an interesting idea! It’s true it doesn't really fit the "retro-controller" scope of PICO-8, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind if I ever do a remake or a sequel in an engine like Godot! :mouse: :rocket:
@PaulMag Actually, there's no custom JS magic! The fullscreen button is a native feature of the PICO-8 web export. I just followed the official export tutorials—it's super handy! :computer:
@Bloodbane I hear your point on the limited signals! It seems to be a "love it or hate it" mechanic. Some players enjoy the shift into "action-puzzle" territory, while others prefer the pure logic of the infinite mode. It's all about taste, but it's great food for thought for future balancing! :scales:
@DrSmey @ZedGame @yopox The "pre-level pause" is definitely the #1 fix for the post-jam version. I'll make sure to give you those 3 seconds to breathe!
@Mikan Watching your video was awesome! 75% Perfect is a serious achievement, you've got some skills! :trophy:
@nullval Congrats on reaching the end! That's a lot of pulses decoded. :alien:
Thanks again for the support, I'm heading over to discover your games now!
First TIC-80 game I play ! A solid puzzle proposition, maybe a little too difficult for me, remembers me of mario picross but i think Nonogram is the origin of those concepts ? Btw a very nice game, GJ ! :smiley:
Very nice experience overall :clap: Good Job :wink:
Soooo cool ! Love this game, mood is excellent as well as art direction and audio :two_hearts: THe game is well designed with a really cool concept that is working well ! It's beginning difficult a bit too soon for me though :sweat_smile:
GREAT JOB :stars: Everything in this game is lovely, CRT like display, graphics & UI, audio mood... really appreciated the time I spent on this one :heart_eyes:
Had fun on this, very polished contribution :two_hearts:
I can see the 'HE IS COMING' influence, but you've successfully turned it into your own unique piece of work. It feels like a high-quality demake! It just needs some tracker music to be a total masterpiece. Great job! :star: :keyboard:
