Really love the look of this, great style and mood to it

A fish spawned on me! Otherwise I have to say everything about this is excellent; art, sound, gameplay - I'd buy a polished version of this for sure, with upgrades and interesting progression (and the ability to go deeper for even more risk maybe?)
Really fun game and such a great idea. I like the setting too, feels very nostalgic :)
I very much enjoyed the soundtrack, but I found the game a little too difficult (I'm not very good at this kind of thing). Love your implementation of the theme too, and felt very finished from what I could see.
Audio and art are great in this one!
I like the launching of the submarine! It works well for a simple concept, would be interested to see what ideas you have for expanding it further
Really great - loved it. The art is cool and the sounds are nice and crunchy. I'd like a dash with invincibility (and also maybe a slow down to make it easier to dodge) and also if the hitbox on your piranha's could be a bit smaller that would be cool. Overall really great though!
Took me a few moments to get the hang of the controls, but absolutely loved this! Great game loop and felt really packed out for a game jam game :)
Took me a while to get my head around this, but was definitely interesting. I liked the minimum art style and the concept is great!
You got me! Definitely thought that was just another lantern... Beautiful graphics and fantastic sound design. I struggled with the controls using the gamepad, but a unique way of moving
I really enjoyed the levelling up and collecting scrap. Those sharks were very mean though!
Absolutely terrifying! Felt very much like a small part of a finished game, which is a great achievement for such a short game jam
I got sooooooooooooo close to the heart! Great concept and the art style works really well
Love the little intro animation and the art in game is great too (love the character). Super cool concept too
Similar idea to our game but such a different implementation! Really fun and I love the upgrading - the sideways movement is definitely necessary - I'd also like an upgrade that allows you to slow down and maybe even move upwards slowly. If it told you how much fish were worth it'd be cool too, but not sure how you'd do that without ruining the look of the game
Loved the music and the 'voice acting' haha - the game itself worked too, despite being short
I love this! It's like a more chilled out Downwell :) art style is cute and the music is super catchy. The gameplay is great and could be expanded on quite easily I think
"Ah there it is!". I spotted some birds and it was surprisingly chill and not unnerving at all...
Definitely took me a little while to get my head around it, but you've got a solid concept here. I did find it very difficult too but I'm not very good at games - could be great with a little bit more development if you're thinking of doing more after the jam is over
Awesome entry, love the feel and look of it! Would love to see a more developed version of this :)
The guy's head was pretty scary when it went big! I was just trying to sell some fish...
I love word games, but it seems that my brain is not made for them. I found this really difficult but I definitely enjoyed it! I think this is one that I might come back to after I've finished rating some others and my brain is ready for a bit of a challenge...
I love everything about this game - except that I wish the collision on the elements was a little more generous (I was playing with a trackpad though, so that didn't help me).
I particularly loved that way that the Earth colours itself back in as you save it. The music is great and I love the way it looks.
Enjoyed the overall loop of the game. I think the main opportunity for improvement is just in the controls and making them more fluid (if you're considering making a post-jam version of the game)
This is addictive! My record was 67 - I think the approaching death needs to be a little bit clearer but otherwise this is excellent
I loved that! Graphics for the intro and the character were great. Could definitely be expanded into a full game as the concept and gameplay were great. Balance felt a bit off, as you really need to prioritise health early and it's hard to get enough cash to do so with so little health to begin with.
Ok, so first time I just stood on the drill and was very confused that the game was taking so long to start letting me do anything! Maybe it'd work to just not move the drill until the player has jumped down?
The opening cutscene reminded me of old Newgrounds stuff :) I enjoyed the gameplay too - felt quite tense exploring with the light!
The theme implementation is great but my brain is not smart enough to solve this! I did find some doors but couldn't get any further (the lack of sleep from the past 3 days probably doesn't help...)
The audio and visuals are terrifying in this one!
This was very tricky with a trackpad! Found it quite hard but got the hang of it after a couple of tries. Love the concept of this, reminded me a little of drill core but with direct control
Love the character art! The randomisation of the tiles could be a little frustrating (I couldn't place my first 3 tiles in one of the runs) but other than fixing that, I'm not sure I'd suggest must else that you could do to improve things - maybe having more things to try and connect to with the tunnels, so you have to balance pathing to them with leavng space for diamonds?
I nearly made it!! I'd update the controls a little if I was to suggest anything. The momentum is a good idea but it's a little strange that you're moving left and then start drifting in the opposite direction. I'd also make sure that all of the art is at the same resolution - I'm not sure I'd change anything else other than maybe having a dash maybe? Dunno, might ruin it but worth experimenting with it.
I love your use of the theme here and the art is fantastic
Love the gameplay, particularly turning into a balloon! I think the hazards need to be easier to see and, although the art is good, the walls were too busy with the repeated pattern and I don't like it when different pixel sizes are used for everything.
Really cool idea - I'd definitely add it so that you respawn at the 2nd part if you die in there, instead of back on the boat. I love the music in it and it's got a super cool mood overall!
Well, I'm glad I clicked "AGAIN" because at first I thought I'd missed something! Definitely the funniest entry that I've played so far. I was a little sad when it finally said "The End"
