Fun little experience! It was almost like a speed puzzle game, trying to figure out what to use on what and where. I do wish that there was a way to tell what could be picked up and what couldn't a bit easier without having to put your mouse over it. The biggest puzzle was the end when you have to use the _______ on the __________ to summon rescue! I also liked the lighthearted music; it almost gave me a sense of security! Good job!

This was fun! I liked it very much. Despite being short I still had quite fun for such a small game. Incredible!!!!
That was super fun!! I loved the concept, just wish I had been even longer!!
Great job!
An interesting game. It's like a puzzle game on a timer. And you pay every "interaction" with time. This first seems a bit difficult when you don't know what to do and what to use with what. I found it a bit confusing that I could use the machete with the ladder and something seemed to happen. But it was the wrong choice, but I realized that later, as I found the machete before any planks. Not sure if a audio queue or disabling the wrong items for the wrong task would help. Also, can you softlock yourself, with loosing items to the flood lower down? The health mechanic adds a nice touch of leway to avoid early flood. Interesting experience and a solid entry.
That was intense, good job for making a fun game!
Great game. On one hand it is a speed puzzler, but on the other the music and vibe feels quite relaxed. I like it!
Neat game, I like racing upwards to solve the puzzles while the water is rising. Maybe checkpoints would be useful, since I did die a few times and it was a bit of a chore to get back where I was. Also I found some unused items, like an extra torch (maybe it was just for redundancy but it was a little, "unclean" that I didn't end up using all my items). Also once I fell off a ledge into the water, which felt quite unfair since I didn't lose against the clock, just instantly lost because I was walking carelessly.
Perfect length, nice vibe.
I had an embarrassing amount of times running past a key item before I got the win screen. I really liked it! Usually puzzle games can be pretty slow, but the rising water kept me trying to figure out the fastest way to do things with each run. Nicely done!

A really fun polished experience! It felt very chill and cute. Puzzle were of a good dificulty as you could get an ending in few tries. One thing is that on the tent level you can go right and skip the cave and the ladder.
Also I really like the main menu and the death screen that show you how far the water went. Small detail but adds a lot.
Good job : 3
The game felt challenging at first, but I managed to beat it on my second run. However, I was a bit confused about the lantern's purpose. Was it supposed to activate the lighthouse? I used everything I had and don't know what was it
I like it! puzzle game with good progression, good job!

Fun game! It was interesting that every level taught me something that I should have done the level before.

I liked it, it really did feel like a speed run puzzle game. A unique concept that could be a whole jam of its own.
Very nice concept. Almost a mixture of coziness and anxiety

definitely Steam Worthy game after some polishing!
What a fantastic entry! Cute, fun, and continually engaging! A absolutely adore games that have the 'rising lava' mechanic - always have - and this one, yet again, proves how exciting it is to keep progressing upwards while the danger chases behind you! Some things I love: * The 'Sinking' title font is perfection - I would hang that on my wall! * The fire particles are adorable, I loved just taking a moment to admire it * The harmonica 'down by the sea' slapps * the finish screen being a kind of landscape 'high score' seeing how far the water rose - fantastic!
Excellent work!

@ugly-robot Stop it you’re making me blush! :two_hearts:
I like how frantic this is. I didn't figure out what I was supposed to do once I got to the tower though so I just waited for death.

I was in the same boat as randomhuman above, I got to the lighthouse on my second try, but must have missed the key item for it and had no on-screen explanation of what to do (nor even, and this is embarrassing for me, the objective, which I had forgotten. My brain just said "Go up! Escape water! Water bad!" and when I got to the lighthouse without whatever item would allow me to finish the game, I quit in mild confusion). That's not to say I didn't like it, and it's my bad as much as it is an oversight in design.
I agree with what others have said though, with polish it has the makings of a nice rapid-paced free movement puzzle adventure game!

relaxing puzzle game, nice work
Good job! I was way too slow on my first couple of attempts but eventually reached the top of the island.
I completely missed the first plank. Then I went over every inch of the island incase I missed anything!

Fascinating escape from the big water, I liked this puzzle, it was fun, too bad it ended too quickly. I would play the full version. Thanks for this experience.

Hey, this has the bones of a really fun game. I think it'll just need a bit of iteration.
Spoke about it on stream: it would be interesting to introduce the obstacle first and then let the player scurry around and find the right items. Giving them some hint what they should be looking for could make this a lot of fun.
Here's a timestamp to when the game was played on steam: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2428950737?t=2h26m59s
That was a nice little experience! :) Though I'm not sure what you were supposed to do with the big rock? It had an interaction prompt but I couldn't figure out what to use on it. Eventually I just slipped around it -- I'm not sure if that was intended; it felt like I was sequence-breaking.
Interesting experience, though I'm not confident it offered much in the way of puzzles. I was stuck on the section with the campfire for a while, but that was only because I didn't realize I could walk around to another area. I'm not sure what the purposes of the campfire, the pickaxe, or the second ladder (and respective planks) were, because none of them seemed to be useful in any way. Not at all a bad start, but I think it could use a little more substance.
Good use of the theme! At first I had no idea what to do and then when I realised I was drowning it began to make sense (I suppose the name of the game should have given me a clue). I think this is a really good idea for a game though.

Love the concept! I did struggle to figure out what to do next after I completed the ladder and got up to the next level. As some others said I think it would be beneficial to be able to easier identify which items you are able to pick up. Good work
Cool game! Reminds me of old-school puzzle games. Got it second try. I agree about making the items a bit more easier to identify. I wonder if this game could be made into some mobile games with different levels, would be a nice time killer!
