LD53 — Delivery

Fast Parcel Service by clemall 2023-05-01T15:58:52Z

Really fun game, the separations in the trucks makes each feel different rather than just throwing items in and trying to get the number right. Great humour too with the smashing sounds as parcels collided and the memos.

Continuous Factory by congusbongus 2023-05-04T16:22:27Z

Great way of doing delivery! I couldn't quite figure out level 9, but I really enjoyed what I played of it. Awesome puzzle game!

📦️ Unreasonable Deadlines by sergilazaro 2023-05-02T09:39:32Z

Had a good time with this one, having the arrow change colour as we get closer to losing was a really good idea. The map was good, the truck was a little slidey but that kind of added to the chaos of the game. At around 15 packages cars were starting to form walls in the road, which meant there was some interesting scaling difficulty in finding new routes to my destination. Overall, really fun little game with a cool art style and mood.

My best score was 22.

Inbox Fool by 100th_Coin 2023-05-02T10:44:27Z

Super cool main mechanic! The dialogue was really funny (I hope 'The World's Shortest Song' makes it into the soundtrack release, haha.) Really solid entry to the Compo and amazed it was made in 48 hours. Good work, and good luck!

Caretaker of the Scrap-Valley by fusionnist 2023-05-02T20:33:45Z

Super interesting game! It's amazing how much atmosphere you created with a triangle sprite protagonist. Wasn't able to finish it but I had fun exploring and constructing/deconstructing. Nicely done!

Holding Out by Jeremy Ryan 2023-05-01T14:02:00Z

Great humour and really cute sprite art, smooth controls and plays really well. Loved the dialogue and the end game. I agree with Tanis that it can be a bit tricky to drive the enemies away from the phone, but still a really great experience.

Perfect Pizza Pinball L(a)unch by Hybitous 2023-05-02T09:16:25Z

Really cool way of controlling movement, felt very unique in what I've played so far. The humour in the description was great, and good scaling difficulty. I'm glad you decided to make it so you can proceed even with a lower score though, since I struggled to get the pizza to go where it needed to get the ingredients (it took me some time to understand that the targeting line didn't account for the size of the pizza, meaning I sometimes ended up bouncing off walls because I had the line too close to the turn I wanted to make.

Ultimate Pigeon Post by Yorsh 2023-05-01T23:12:52Z

Really great work on this one, feels really polished for a jam entry. Loved the audio and graphics, and the gameplay felt satisfying when you took down enemies or performed the dive bomb attack. A really fantastic game overall. ^^

10 Minutes Guaranteed! by Kwiper 2023-05-04T16:03:37Z

Definitely on the team that couldn't get past level 9, but a really cool way of doing the theme. Neat little puzzle game!

Witch Night Delivery Service by rhewid 2023-05-02T19:52:30Z

Really nice little game, the controls were really good and fit the theme great. Loved the atmosphere, art and music too. Nicely done!

30 Seconds or it's free by Pixelhurricane 2023-05-01T15:35:15Z

Got an error in the console log when trying to drop a pizza while I'm not holding one. It's not anything game-breaking, just wanted you to know:

ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index at System.Collections.Generic.List`1[T].get_Item (System.Int32 index) [0x00009] in <3dd5df5ef4974f29afeb2d3ba227c5da>:0 at PlayerController.RemovePizzaFromDeliveryStack () [0x00001] in E:\Game Dev\30SecondsOrItsFree\Assets\Scripts\PlayerController.cs:262 at PlayerController.Update () [0x00275] in E:\Game Dev\30SecondsOrItsFree\Assets\Scripts\PlayerController.cs:241

That being said, this was a pretty fun game! The flying controls were good and the gameplay loop was pretty solid, trying to remember which building ordered what and getting back in time. It might be nice to see an overall fail / win state or score tracker if you want to expand it more.

Night Rider by The1 2023-05-01T14:48:31Z

Really cool mood and atmosphere, nicely done! Only thing I would say is that I had a bit of trouble figuring out how exactly to refuel. I went to the spot on the map but couldn't seem to find anyway to do it (I tried parking in the white circle where the fuel was on the map, then tried it with a customer but neither of those worked.)

It Might be worth adding instructions on restoring fuel and health to your description / adding a tutorial screen, but the game itself plays really nicely.

Delivery Boy by ZOMBIEBUST3R 2023-05-02T10:11:13Z

Really loved the music and art style. Gameplay was simple but fun. Seeing the comment above, I'd definitely appreciate a difficulty selector in the future if you decide to continue this project. I was sort of the opposite of the previous player, in that I could never last more than a few tasks before getting fired, haha.

Don't Chute the Messenger by DecadeDecaf 2023-05-02T19:28:15Z

I've never been so invested in chutes and ladders, really funny way of handling it. Also loved the introduce of different rolling mechanics as the game progressed. Great music and visuals too!

Dungeonfalls by Majadroid 2023-05-01T15:49:42Z

Really cool game. The music is really chill and the pixel art is great, really creates a nice atmosphere. Going to bookmark this so I can find it again when the jam is over and play it some more!

Robin Hood Christmas by cavedens 2023-05-02T11:13:11Z

Really fun little game, only criticism I can think to give is that the Pause button only allows the player to reset the game, not resume. Would be good if we could pause and un-pause, but overall I really enjoyed playing this. Fun premise and very chill music loop too.

Dungeon Matchmaker by sprunth 2023-05-02T18:21:08Z

Plays well, easy to learn and controls well. Nicely done!

Special Delivery by Alex Chertilin 2023-05-01T23:38:49Z

First time seeing a visual novel while I've been rating games. This one had a really interesting premise, definitely going to have to check out the other options sometime.

The Skeleton Delivery Experience by Exilon 2023-05-04T15:53:43Z

The mood, lighting and audio was really great! Definitely ended up getting frustrated when I got to the tunnel and couldn't seem to progress, but that might just be me not understanding the genre. Managed to deliver one package though, so I feel accomplished despite it taking 5 or so attempts. Great work!

Temporal Messenger by Papaya 2023-05-02T19:45:15Z

Really sweet story, that was really great!

E.G.A.D.S. by floralvikings 2023-05-04T16:00:35Z

Really cool aesthetic and interesting mechanics, nicely done!

Ultimate Package by Triangle Point 2023-05-01T23:21:43Z

Really great humour and the graphics were really nice, audio was good too. It looks like you've had a lot of feedback and what I've said is probably going to be covered in the above, but I did have some issues with the camera jittering around and I agree that adding something to the boss to make it clear your attacks are damaging him might be useful. Still even with those, it was an enjoyable game and a fun experience.

Unread Messages by shimmerscale 2023-05-04T16:39:57Z

Really loved the feel of this game, the puzzles were straightforward enough that I didn't want to give up, while also being challenging enough that I had to think about what I was doing. Lovely art and music too!

C.R.A.B. signal by unkilledshadow135_Alex 2023-05-01T23:06:21Z

Really enjoyed the graphics and loved the concept, though I struggled a bit to figure out the controls at first. Still had a good time with it, fun little game. ^^

Package Panic by indigoninja 2023-05-02T20:48:34Z

Great idea for the jam, cool spin on "Delivery" having us basically un-deliver mail and send it to the wrong place. Fun game too!

DreamLoom by lillatorp 2023-05-04T19:13:34Z

Super relaxing game, just what I needed after some of the more stressful and high-focus ones this jam. Great visuals and great sound too!

GobEx by WeirdBitGames 2023-05-02T13:51:39Z

Fun and addictive gameplay, really cool to see a game jam game with a global high score board too. Very nice!

Delivery Boy by waptaincaffles 2023-05-02T10:51:38Z

Really fun game, as others have said the pace and difficulty were spot on. Loved the humour at the beginning and it had a satisfying gameplay loop. Highest I could get was 1864. I did find that once I realised falling off the platform was an instant game over I stopped taking my chances on the edge coins though. Great music and art too, all around an enjoyable game!

Tiny Tube Stories by Flying Butter Studio 2023-05-11T23:12:53Z

Super sweet game! Really loved the atmosphere, really cool way of using the theme. Really glad this was one of the ones I ended up playing in the jam, creative way to tell the story too.

Almost Cold Pizza Delivery Service by LorenzoCgt 2023-05-02T10:25:38Z

Really fun puzzle game, I ended up losing track of how long I was playing in the randomised mode at the end, which is a great sign. Going to keep this one installed on my computer I think, I can't really think of anything criticism to give, just wanted to say I really enjoyed your game.

Travelling salesman by Kr0meel 2023-05-01T15:05:06Z

Being able to use boxes you bring with you to form platforms you can jump on is a really cool idea! I wasn't able to get to the end of the levels I tried due to not being able to jump quite high enough to reach some platforms (and my stacked boxes being difficult to keep stacked neatly once force is added to them. I'd suggest maybe upping the player's jump height a bit? Even so, this was a fun idea and cool use of the theme. Nicely done!

Baby Printer by ludev 2023-05-02T20:37:27Z

Great sound effects and dialogue, chuckled every time I heard a "Baby's Ready" from the machine. Controlled really well too, nicely done!

IGNN International Galactic News Network - Deliver The News by Adam Jenness 2023-05-01T15:22:55Z

Really fun way of doing "Delivery" and a cool premise. I don't really have much in the way of critique for this game, but the talking sound effect was hilarious. Great stuff!

Solar Eclipse by Luxiffre 2023-05-02T10:04:35Z

Having the attack tied to jumping is a pretty interesting idea and provides some additional difficulty, cool way of handling the double jump too. I wasn't able to complete it but I enjoyed what I played of it. Fantastic sprite art, character design and audio, and some cool worldbuilding. Would love to see the future project you mentioned in the description someday.

Mail! by EthernalStudio 2023-05-04T16:08:33Z

Really loved the chill music, added a lot to the atmosphere. Art looks good and it's an interesting idea. Nicely done!

Sermon Delivery Simulator by nczmoo 2023-05-02T20:54:22Z

Nice interpretation of the theme, I was hoping someone might try this. It ended up being a really interesting game, cool stuff! Might come back to this one again later.

Bunpacking by Chailotl 2023-05-02T09:29:31Z

Super cute game with a satisfying gameplay loop. I will say that I eventually realised I could get easy points just by delivering packages to the 40 and 30 scores on repeat, since The Nabbers seemed to prioritise finishing their route to the last package delivered rather than following the current package in transit, but I can also see how that would make it much more difficult for the player, especially when the Nabber count scales to 5.

Overall, a super cute and fun experience. Loved the 2D sprite art in the 3D environment, and I appreciate you linking the tutorial above on how the shadows were done.

AI Interrogation Room by oluinek 2023-05-01T14:20:30Z

It's a pretty interesting idea! And a cool way to use AI technology. I found that whenever I clicked to enter my response, the AI text disappeared. It might be worth keeping the AI text on screen to give people a chance to read things as they're responding if possible.

Still, a very cool idea, and the atmosphere is really great too.

Delivery Boy! by Sadka8 2023-05-01T23:03:01Z

Really loved the atmosphere of the game, both with the greyscale, lighting and the soundtrack. It was a little hard to hit the mailboxes, but it made for an interesting challenge.

LD54 — Limited Space

Stingy Seating by stevenjmiller 2023-10-04T14:04:12Z

Had a little trouble figuring these puzzles, but I liked what I did manage to play of it! Nicely done.

windowkill by torcado 2023-10-18T11:33:39Z

Really creative idea! I can't tell you the noise I made when the second window opened with the larger enemy. Feels like the kind of thing I'll have on my computer even after Ludum Dare is done. Didn't manage to get a picture of my highscore before I closed it, but great work on this!

First Home by Mocadium 2023-10-03T12:10:58Z

This was a really sweet game. I loved the theme, and the music and graphics were really great too. Great job, you did awesome with this!

Tiny Tour by Bugord 2023-10-03T13:07:48Z

Challenging little puzzle game, love the audio and graphics. Nice work on this!

Comfort by Anper 2023-10-03T11:21:25Z

To echo what others are saying, loved that the tutorial works so well at establishing the basics and then immediately puts you into the game to implement what you've learned. The contrast between the tense mood outside the comfort zone and the soft mood inside it was really wonderful too. Nicely done all around!

Dread Frame: DVD Edition by Ray-Flower 2023-10-03T09:54:38Z

Dread Frame

Really cool game! I love games that play around with breaking the fourth wall, so when I realised I needed to drag the game panel around my desktop I immediately got invested. The jumpscare got me every time, haha.

Excellent work on the minigames and overall concept, very creepy.

Too Many Marbles by Thomas Volpato 2023-10-03T08:58:00Z

The game loop is a little slow, but I did really enjoy the gameplay and your use of the theme. The sounds of the balls hitting each other are also very satisfying.

The only other feedback I can think to give other than the game loop being too slow is that it might help to assign the colours of the players/computers balls to their text as well, so you can keep track of who's marbles to target / which colour is playing next.

A Better Place by SvenErik 2023-10-03T11:57:19Z

Great visuals and it feels pretty good opening up the bag and sorting things. It does get a bit monotonous but given its quite a short game that isn't much of an issue. Very nicely done!

Ominos by OgelGames 2023-10-03T12:45:21Z

Cool puzzle game! Really fun concept, and a great use of the theme. Wasn't able to finish the game due to getting stuck on one of the puzzles, but I'll have to come back to it in the future. Nicely done!

Rabbit Reporter by LucaVazz 2023-10-04T14:31:57Z

Very cute art style, really enjoyed the segment where you assemble your newspaper. It's a shame there wasn't enough time to add multiple days, but you've got a solid gameplay loop here. I could definitely see this becoming a bigger game.

Moneypit by Wouter52 2023-10-18T11:39:57Z

Nicely done! Loved the humour in this game, and the use of the theme was cool too. Having it so the higher your anxiety, the smaller your field of view was really clever, definitely added to the tension at being on low health especially when I went to the lower floors feeling confident.

I did have one experience of spawning on top of an enemy, but that's kind of the risk I took going down. Overall a really solid entry, nicely done! (high score: 1730)

Limited [Space] by Neshtyak 2023-10-03T10:37:23Z

Cute graphics and great sound. The puzzle aspect was really interesting, also loved how you used the theme. Nicely done!

Suck it to Them! by AmberFall92 2023-10-03T09:11:16Z

Very fun and addictive game, really love the music, art and gameplay. Controls are very smoooth, UI is intuitive and there's definitely a feeling of strategy when it comes to whether or not to reserve storage space for power ups or just go ham shooting dog bowls at enemies or enemies at enemies. Fantastic work!

What A Time To Be Alive by Pyshnyy 2023-10-03T11:46:35Z

Cool atmosphere and funny sound effects. I wasn't able to get far, but I enjoyed what I played. Nicely done!

STOP BURYING ME ALIVE, BEAUTIFUL! by robobarbie 2023-10-03T10:29:32Z

Such a cool game. Love the atmosphere, art is beautiful. Fantastic work on this! Definitely going to keep this one saved for another playthrough in the future.

Meow-scapade: Watch your paws! by Panfil Alexandrina 2023-10-03T13:48:08Z

fun puzzle game, and good use of the theme! Definitely the kind of game with some trial and error, such as checking where each of the portals went and then trying to plan your route accordingly. Was really fun and made me think, nice work!

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-07T02:15:13Z

Really cool puzzle game, loved the graphics and audio!

Idol Hands by MatthewDrake 2023-10-02T22:30:26Z

@Teme Oh dang, thought I got all of those! Sorry. Had a bit of a Tilemap error early on that left me with two versions of the same tile - One with collisions, one without. Looks like I used the wrong brush in that spot...

Thanks for letting me know! Going to fix it for the itch.io version soon. Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oort's Orbital Postal Service by QGDev 2023-10-03T10:01:01Z

I didn't manage to deliver many packages, but it was pretty fun to play. Loved the graphics well!

Fill the crates ! by Flancon 2023-10-07T21:40:10Z

Good work for your first jam! It looks like the things I was going to mention have already been said in other comments though. ^^;

Candlelight Exorcist by Teme 2023-10-02T23:17:13Z

Super fun little game! Controlled very well and had a super cool atmosphere. Love your sprite art!

The National Museum by juyr 2023-10-03T10:52:55Z

Cool take on the tower defense format! Seeing all the approval from the customers was satisfying, though I couldn't figure out how to get them to head into the bottom right hand corner, regardless of how much I put it try to lead them in that direction. Then weirdly when I removed the items from that area and moved them elsewhere they started heading down that way.

Still, really fun game overall.

LD55 — Summoning

Life of a Summon by someone 2024-04-19T21:36:27Z

Really amusing idea, I wasn't totally sure if I was putting the berries in the right place or not because nothing seemed to change after I took them all off the trees. It's awesome that you made your own game engine for this though, and really liked the design of the main character. Nicely done!

Summoner Story by Nicso 2024-04-17T18:47:57Z

Really great mood and incredible artwork, looked really polished! I don't really have any notes to give, I appreciate you including hints in the description.

Board to Death by LandoSystems 2024-04-19T21:58:00Z

I'm not very tactical so it took me a bit of time to come up with a battle plan, but I really enjoyed how this all came together. Visuals are well polished, good humour too. Well done!

Rise of the CatMancer by Daniel C 2024-04-17T14:22:02Z

Haha, my sides! Really great humour in this game, title screen music is awesome too. Loved the rapture bar gag of extending in weird directions and all the voice lines. Really solid entry, 5 stars across the board, good luck!

Voir Dire by danman9914 2024-04-16T21:40:24Z

I laughed, I thought, I sentenced a Pidgeon to death. Really fun and funny game, the inversion at the end where you had to start getting voted innocent instead was a great idea.

Pact Factory by tukisboolukis 2024-04-19T22:06:58Z

Like others here it took me a bit to figure out what I needed to do, but I really loved the visuals and atmosphere. Really cool aesthetic that matches the theme well, well done!

Eldritch Vessel Academy by tomrijnbeek 2024-04-16T19:42:17Z

Really great humour, audibly laughed the first time I summoned the imp and the music changed so drastically. Also really enjoyed the banter between the protagonists. Puzzles were straightforward once you understood the mechanics which I really appreciated.

Best time was 08:41, a speed runner I am not, but I had a good time with this one.

Depths of Hell by pres2300 2024-04-22T10:24:47Z

Pretty fun little game, the only thing I can think to add for feedback is that the gun is a little loud, needed to turn down my volume a bit. Still, I had a good time with it overall. :)

Final Forest Fiasco by Hybitous 2024-04-17T19:56:39Z

Really enjoyed the story and characters, though wasn't able to complete the final battle unfortunately. It'd have been useful to have another character with healing, but nonetheless I had a good time with it. The twist surprised me, well played!

Summoning Ritual by velvetlobster 2024-04-17T14:04:49Z

Aaah, my heart! Really sweet story. Good way of showing the ghostly platforms are still physical objects even when they turn invisible by having the encounter where they vanish too quickly to jump onto them and off again. Art was great, story was great, all in all a solid entry for LD. Well done!

Space Vocator by Merrow 2024-04-16T08:37:23Z

Fun game! I didn't get very far, but I enjoyed what I played of it. Might come back to this one later and see if I can get all the way to 30.

Sigils Of Abyss by Jokku 2024-04-17T12:45:22Z

Really cool atmosphere! Was interesting trying out different combinations too. I couldn't find a way to regain mana, though I can see in the comments section that a mana spell does exist so I might have just not explored enough.

Claws and Conundrums by LocksmithArmy 2024-04-16T08:27:34Z

Really cool mystery! Like a lot of other people here, loved the page turning as I felt it added a lot of tension to the atmosphere. Great story and worldbuilding, well done.

SummonInn by Daxic 2024-04-22T10:56:01Z

Really cool game, love the graphics and the roguelike dice-building mechanics. As others have said, my main issue was the dice cap making it hard to use some of the expensive dice sides I picked up, but still an incredibly polished game. Amazing work, going to probably return to this one after the jam and play some more.

Summoning Sun by Kamuniaft 2024-04-17T14:35:18Z

Really cool mood in this game, audio is top notch and really sells the ritual and builds on the visuals to create a tense but mesmerising atmosphere. I agree with other commenters that I wish there was a way to tell your progress but overall a really enjoyable and memorable game experience. Well done!

Sacrifice acolyte by Snory 2024-04-17T16:00:42Z

Really interesting little game, the physics worked well and it was interesting trying to balance keeping the acolytes away from the circle, getting the right ones in the right spots and ensuring you still had enough to change the lost souls if you needed to. Well done!

Demonic Panic by Guilloteam 2024-04-17T15:32:02Z

Very polished game, had a lot of fun with it! Really nice gameplay loop, feels great to summon more and more powerful demons and keep watching my trail get longer with more artefacts. Great work!

Spellbook Shuffle by ice9 2024-04-19T21:46:59Z

Fun mechanic, it was pretty interesting trying out different combinations and trying to find what I needed (especially when the Water Birdageddon happened.) Fun game overall!

The Generous Wizard by mariorod 2024-04-16T11:08:30Z

I wasn't able to finish it because I seemed to get stuck trying to complete the bee quest and my character wouldn't start the ritual after the pentagram was drawn. That being said, really enjoyed the vibe of the game and found what I played of it very fun!

Summoner's Delight by StanTheSoupKing 2024-04-16T19:23:55Z

First time getting my controller out for a Ludum Dare game but I'm glad I did, I had a lot of fun with it. Definitely felt the pressure rising with each day and quickly zipping back and forth between roasting and summoning. Great art, good humour and good concept. Well done!

Boulder Blocker by Cody Holt 2024-04-17T19:11:49Z

I wasn't expecting there to be so many levels! Really cool idea that could definitely be expanded into a great mobile app game, if not keeping it as a web game. No notes from me, just saying well done on this.

Would you still love me if I was a worm ❤️🪱? by samsface 2024-04-17T13:18:29Z

Fantastic entry! This was so polished it's unbelievable. Great humour, easy to pick up and play (and lose track of how long you've been playing it,) minigames were fun and the general game feel was excellent. Amazing work, would be a worm and wipe out all birds to get back at my ex again.

Part-Time Familiar by MatthewDrake 2024-04-16T12:46:24Z

@pandapuffsforbreakfast @ziggy @stanthesoupking @crushedsummers Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed my game!

@heytherewill Definitely would have liked more time to expand on it, I realised too late how much I had locked into the formula with the hero and villain characters and I wish I could have given them their own scenes alone from each other to get more involved with the characters and choices you make. It's given me a good understanding of how to plan games like this in the future though, thanks for your feedback. ^^

@saprina289 I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Funnily enough 'Soulsea mode' was originally because I couldn't figure out a way to make a save system but wanted to make sure people didn't have to sit through the opening if they wanted to come back and try other paths. Was delighted when I got the shortcut working, it felt a bit like I was making a cheatcode, haha. (it's ctrl+shift+s , in case anyone wants to try it out! ^^)

@batisdark Unfortunately I couldn't really decide what exactly the familiar had done to be in their current contractual / non-permanent basis, so it's not something that appears in any of the paths. It's fun to think about though, if I decided to do more I'd definitely want to expand their backstory. Sorry to hear about the resolution issues, I tried to fix them but couldn't figure out how to (The method I used for the main menu refused to work for any of the character selection scenes or ending pages ^^; ). I'm glad you still enjoyed it though! Thank you for playing ^^

Dreambound Metal Fan by apoly 2024-04-17T13:56:47Z

Really nice vibe on this game. Voice acting was fun but it got a little much as the game progressed and more units were spawning. Overall a really fun game though!

How to Summon a Cat For Dummies by LChaves 2024-04-22T10:38:13Z

Very cute game, I had some trouble with the cat turning completely to face the edge of the screen which meant I couldn't get its attention from then on and had to restart, but I really love the concept, art and sound. Solid game jam entry overall!

Frame Wizards by AlezJL 2024-04-17T14:23:27Z

Glad you were able to get ratings fixed, just updated mine. Fun little game with some good alchemy exploration, I didn't get very far but enjoyed what I played of it. Well done!

Baphocat by onqdll 2024-04-17T14:48:53Z

Really loved the atmosphere and art-style, very true to your inspirations. Couldn't quite get the balance right so I didn't last long, but still a really fun and well-polished game. Great work!

NECRO RUSH by helviett 2024-04-22T10:18:02Z

Art looks really good, felt great to gather up an army and watch them knock my enemies to the ground so quickly. Couldn't figure out how to summon golems so I wasn't able to get through the higher difficulty levels but still enjoyed it. Nicely done!

Ink Summoner by Custodi 2024-04-19T21:20:53Z

Really clever puzzle game! The way you revealed each spell was really clever, particularly liked using the snail shell for one of them. I did accidentally push the blue key through the wall at one point by landing on it as I rotated, but other than that it was really well polished. Well done.

A Dearth of Cats by Saprina289 2024-04-17T13:46:50Z

Super cute concept, loved the atmosphere and humour (chuckled at 'Book the 3rd'). Very short but controlled well and an enjoyable experience, well done.

Luminth by crushedsummers 2024-04-17T13:42:52Z

Visuals were really great and the core gameplay mechanic was really interesting. Ran into a lot of traps so I didn't get far, but I did enjoy the experience.

Camp of Childhood Fears by yule4ka 2024-04-22T10:32:34Z

Pretty interesting game! Took me a bit to understand how to get around the supervisor spotting me walking into different rooms. I don't really have much feedback to give beyond that, but pretty cool game for your first Ludum Dare.

Plaguebringers by zablas 2024-04-17T13:35:32Z

Had a great time with it, lost the first time because I didn't really understand how to get mana back but once I understood the game loop I was hooked. I'm not sure if there's an "end state", since I got to Day 3 and was easily able to kill villagers moments after they spawned. It could have used a win or lose screen, though I must admit I'm not sure how you'd do either. In any case, had a lot of fun with it, well done!

Summoner Armin's Bad Day by Alessandro2024 2024-04-17T19:25:09Z

It was a short but fun game, I enjoyed the story and characters. You all did really well.

LD57 — Depths

DOWN INTO THE DEPTHS by red 2025-04-08T16:49:59Z

Really tense and creepy atmosphere, it's an interesting balance knowing when to use the fast fall or just climb down manually. Awesome stuff!

Crust Busters by ectucker1 2025-04-09T15:25:23Z

Really fun game, enjoyed the balance between avoiding obstacles and getting close enough to other racers to boost off of them, not to mention following tunnels left by others and then boosting off them after they cleared the way. Great work!

A seance and a murder by Stratcat66 2025-04-09T15:36:34Z

Really love the core mechanic and the mystery. I couldn't solve it myself, but this was a really unique game from the ones I've played this jam. Great stuff!

Chthonic Cacophony by PureGarlic 2025-04-09T15:42:09Z

Visuals are totally insane which the audio bolsters perfectly. Very impressive stuff, really cool mood and fun gameplay too!

Sinking of you by Re-Markable 2025-04-10T09:10:25Z

That was a really sweet game, enjoyed the puzzles and the storyline. Really cool way of telling the story of their relationship. I agree that it'd have been better with an end state after the final puzzle, but I still really liked the game. Nicely done!

Granny's Gotcha by Joscco 2025-04-14T23:25:13Z

Really fun game with a great sense of humour, I couldn't finish it but I really enjoyed what I played for. As someone else said, there's definitely a bit of a difficulty spike at the candy cane level going onwards but I sort of appreciated getting a lot of easy wins early on since it felt like I was progressing through the game rather than getting stuck right after the tutorial level like I have in some other puzzle games.

SINKING by xWilQ 2025-04-08T09:57:36Z

I had an embarrassing amount of times running past a key item before I got the win screen. I really liked it! Usually puzzle games can be pretty slow, but the rising water kept me trying to figure out the fastest way to do things with each run. Nicely done!

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-09T17:46:15Z

Had some trouble figuring out this game unfortunately, couldn't really figure out progression. I saw something blip on the scanner once but it had already gone past by the time I went for the stop button. Still, good design and ambiance, nice work!

Fantascope Chasm by RubixNoob13 2025-04-23T12:45:54Z

Haven't ever seen controls done like that before, it took a bit of getting used to for reasons other people have mentioned (aiming and moving at the same time.) I really liked the transition as you moved to a different level too, great use of the theme as well. Nicely done!

Depth.exe by Wargon 2025-04-08T23:14:26Z

Loved the vibe of this game and had a great time with it, always cool to see a roguelite in a jam. Great work!

Cubethulhu by Flying Dog Fish 2025-04-09T22:19:45Z

Really love the 2D gameplay in a 3D environment, it looked really cool! Great audio too, though I'd have to agree with previous feedback that the hitbox and framerate issues were a bit of a problem for a platformer with such tight spaces. Didn't manage to get Cubethulhu home in the end myself but I enjoyed what I played.

Depths of Hell by GabrielGameDev 2025-04-10T14:17:36Z

Cool game with good controls, I can't think of anything to add that people haven't said already, just wanted to say well done on this one. It came out great!

Going Down Protocol by Ein 2025-04-11T18:58:13Z

So cool! Really creative puzzles, creepy as heck atmosphere and best of all, no jumpscares! Expertly done horror, well done! Hope you get far in the rankings because you deserve it!

Abyssmall by VladImperator 2025-04-10T13:23:53Z

Nicely done! Really solid gameplay loop, finding new treasures felt nice. The swimming felt a bit clunky but that encouraged me to focus on upgrading my swim speed as well as oxygen. Solid game, well done!

A Final Deed by 0X_VOID_X0 2025-04-10T19:58:27Z

Such a beautiful game, I found it challenging but not so much I couldn't play it. Really love the aesthetic especially. Awesome work!

Photo Pro Papparazzi by Martta 2025-04-08T09:05:28Z

Really unique take on the theme based on the games I've seen so far, I hadn't even considered 'depth of field'! Gameplay was nice though I'd have liked some feedback to let me know I was succeeding vs failing (I was beginning to wonder if I was taking photos of someone just dressed like the target by accident.) Though I can see how that might break immersion and can understand why you didn't add it.

Solid game entry, well done!

Abyss Prison by EpicGameFan 2025-04-23T13:16:11Z

Really cool point and click game with some fun puzzles. Like others I unfortunately got stuck with knowing how to use the QR Code information after scanning it, but I enjoyed what I played. Amazing that you made it for the gameboy too, really solid game jam entry!

Deep Blast by Senso 2025-04-10T14:32:48Z

Ended up losing at level 9/10, but I really enjoyed it. Cool take on the block breaking genre. I agree with other commenters that you could definitely expand this into a full game, it's got a really great gameplay loop as it is. Nicely done, good luck in the jam!

Into The Mousehole by Baldurs 2025-04-08T09:01:22Z

Really cool little game! I managed to get to just under 800m. Love the graphics and audio, pretty fun to balance going too fast and risking hitting a wall vs not going fast enough to break through blocks. Awesome work!

The Altermind Project by MatthewDrake 2025-04-10T19:11:43Z

@yubs @baldurs Thanks for your feedback, really glad you enjoyed the game!

@flying-dog-fish I'm glad you enjoyed it! Sorry about the sound, I realised too late that it was only clearly audible to me because I was playing it through my headphones. When I tried it through my speakers after the deadline I suddenly realised how quiet it was, I'll have to make sure to start adding audio earlier next year.

@stratcat66 @red @pro4 @keeta @tosmaster @beeb-gamecodecompany @0x-void-x0 Thanks for your comments about the ending. I wanted to build a growing sense of dread and anticipation and then go for an anti-climax by discovering the bot you've been 'building' this whole time is... that. One of the earliest versions of a chatbot, and certainly not intelligent. I tried to make it a moment of confusion, then relief, but emptiness too (which I think was influenced by some narrative games I've been playing lately.)

That being said, I do kind of wish I had found a way to have the answers affect the bot a bit more, even if it was just giving it a slightly different personality/way to say the lines. I think if I were to expand this into a full game this would just be the opening, then maybe it would continue with you exploring the island in a way that properly used your answers to craft a more engaging narrative.

I'd really love to do more with this idea since I feel like I haven't really finished with it yet, there's still more to explore and try, but this was a great learning experience for me.

Sinking Hope by NuiN 2025-04-09T22:34:58Z

Very creepy atmosphere, I probably should have read the description because I didn't really know what I was meant to be doing so I kind of just went looking for the source of the beeping and thought the gameplay ended with the giant fish swimming at you. Nope, I was meant to be looking for parts. Whoops xD;

The Imploder by matid90 2025-04-08T10:05:51Z

Control scheme was really interesting, I didn't get far but I enjoyed what I got to see. Nice work!

DORFS by pro4 2025-04-10T09:37:32Z

Really enjoyed this game, especially as someone who lost a lot of hours to Gnorp Apologue. Really satisfying gameplay loop, great descriptions, graphics, background music. Awesome work!

Gnomik by Pcho 2025-04-08T16:46:17Z

Loved how silly the animation and gameplay is, the opening cutscene was really well drawn too. Nice work!

Payback Pit by Alem26 2025-04-08T20:07:49Z

Really cool game and one I've had bookmarked to play all day, glad I finally got around to it. Didn't manage to get to 2000 since I glitched myself into the bucket and got swarmed, which honestly feels pretty fitting given how I kept going back for more even when there were enemies around. Solid entry for the jam!

Quackscape by daley 2025-04-08T10:23:28Z

Really great art and fun gameplay, I noticed that the life bar visuals only updates when you take your first hit in a run but that glitch didn't get in the way of the gameplay since it looks like it was still tracking the value correctly, just not displaying it. All in all a really great game.

Deep in the Folders by Playrea 2025-04-23T12:56:11Z

Really fun puzzle game and great use of the theme, and all the other themes too. Great stuff!

Memories O'5 by Kekwu 2025-04-08T09:41:12Z

Really cool atmosphere and mood, though unfortunately I didn't get very far because of the bugs. Managed to get to finding the white glowing key in the telephone room but couldn't seem to interact with it, was there something else I needed to pack away before I could pick it up?

Really want to finish this game and see where the story goes, but for now all I can say is that I really liked the mood and atmosphere.

Deep concussion by xoudz 2025-04-24T23:27:43Z

Probably the scariest game I've played in a game jam (and made the mistake of playing at midnight, haha.) Unfortunately wasn't able to finish it though, got to the climbing section and nothing seemed to work. Great mood and atmosphere though, very tense and great use of audio.

Shelter from the Blight by Yiraa 2025-04-08T19:51:31Z

Really enjoyed what I played but I didn't get far - I just about managed to get to level 1 before the corruption started (I was on 99% dug vs 98% corruption) so my first try was a loss. Second try by the time I had built my first digger the corruption was already at 16%. I'd probably suggest reducing the speed, though I know a big part of the game is the time pressure to keep moving. Still, this was a really impressive game for the short amount of time, great use of the theme too!

Lost in the Depths by ViraPyon 2025-04-09T22:25:01Z

Didn't get super far in this game but I enjoyed what I got to play, really cool mechanic having your primary weapon also be your primary means of getting around other than the arrow keys. Cool idea!

Miner by basekeet 2025-04-08T10:14:54Z

Like other people have commented I struggled to figure out the card mechanics at first, though once I got going it was pretty great! Didn't manage to get a successful run but I enjoyed what I played. Nicely done!

Deepdiving by Keeta 2025-04-10T13:42:14Z

Really cool! I'm unfortunately pretty bad at these games so I didn't get past the tutorial (couldn't quite turn fast enough for the dash tutorial) but I enjoyed what I got to play. Controls felt good, nice graphics, solid idea and setting for the theme too.

Airman57 by Prvaak 2025-04-24T15:16:17Z

Afraid it's a little too hard for me and I couldn't get very far, but I thought the basic premise was well done. I found it pretty funny how the number went up each time while keeping the same message that they were "confident you will succeed", despite me crashing most of them very soon after the launch.

Nicely done! Sorry I couldn't get very far.

Don't wake him up by dithom 2025-04-08T19:39:56Z

Really solid game jam entry, I don't think I've ever seen a game quite like this (though I can see by the comments one existed before.) Really enjoyed trying to plan the order to do things in, especially considering the time limit and needing to clear paths for larger items.

LD58 — Collector

Hatterdashery by Alchemic 2025-10-12T23:17:51Z

Great concept for a collection-based game, had some difficult moments where I tried to decide whether to hold onto my hats or add them to my growing collection back at my home base. Only thing I can think to mention is that when I went to the snowy area to the left of the base it became nearly impossible to see the text for when the next wave was coming. A black border around the text would've helped a lot. Still, overall a fun little game, well done!

The Collection Machine by gamesplusjames 2025-10-08T11:31:45Z

Really cool game. I'd have to agree that the shades of blue were very close together and a little difficult to distinguish at times but that kind of added to the challenge of the game. I ended up spending more than I had on food and dying, so my feedback would be to disable the buy buttons for things the player can't afford. Otherwise, really solid game and good gameplay loop. Nicely done!

Grinder^2 Tower by lazarche 2025-10-07T17:45:32Z

Managed to last 15 minutes! Really cool atmosphere, though it felt a little slow towards the start of the game. The ability to speed up time definitely helped a lot with that though. Good entry!

The Tithe of Souls by massivejack 2025-10-08T00:38:55Z

Really cool concept, had some trouble understanding at first but once I got going I was really invested. Unfortunately I used all my souls to buy an upgrade at the first shop and then had no way to defend myself in the next battle though.

Really solid entry, great work!

Harvester by freeworld 2025-10-07T23:12:11Z

Like others have said I'd have really loved to see more of this game, it felt like it could have built up to something bigger if you had more time. I enjoyed the atmosphere and would love to hear what you had in mind for the game if you had more time though.

Keklik by Rogaven 2025-10-12T18:50:39Z

Really sweet little game, enjoyed it a lot. I can't really think of any critique to give just wanted to say I had a good time with it. Thanks!

Clawful by Spaint 2025-10-12T18:59:58Z

Love this so much! There are few game jam games I'd keep installed after I'm done playing them to review them but I could see myself coming back to play this over and over until I have the full collection. Incredible amount of content for such a short time frame, congrats to the team! Hope you get a high ranking for this one.

The Headpatting Cat Collector by BlueDingo 2025-10-07T23:09:41Z

Super cute little game, I love clicker games and this was definitely my vibe. I don't really have any criticisms, just wanted to say I enjoyed it and thanks for playing our game too!

The Compliance Enforcer by Frib 2025-10-07T23:35:22Z

Honestly a really faithful take on a Hotline Miami-like! Sounds like the story would've been great if you had time to finish it. Really enjoyed what I got to play on it, though I will say the red background on the level where you have to kill 20 enemies was a little too harsh for my eyes. Maybe bring it down a bit to avoid eyestrain but otherwise really solid entry. Thanks for playing our game too!

Archives of the Collector by MatthewDrake 2025-10-08T14:57:39Z

@vivid-hallucination Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately brute-forcing the vials is the only way to do it right now. Our original hope was that we could make the spyglass reveal sparkles around the correct bottles but we ran out of time and the method we used for the paintings in the hallway wouldn't carry over in the lab. I'm still really glad you enjoyed the game though! Thanks for playing :D

Catch a Critter by mackelio 2025-10-08T00:53:56Z

Really cute game, only just managed to get a score over 100 on one of my runs but I did manage to catch one of the fast moving rare bugs, so I'm content. Great scaling and difficulty curve. Can't really think of any criticisms or places that would need improvement for this one, really fun game. Nicely done!

A Lifelong Hobby by Derek Glennon 2025-10-07T23:52:05Z

Had a good time with this, I encountered what I think was a glitch towards the end though. After getting 1000 coins working at the office job I suddenly found myself only able to buy basic packs again and had to start over from lawnmowing. Weirdly, the lawnmowing level had no grass to mow, but I was quickly moved onto fast food and then finally the office job again so it all worked out.

I do get the sense I lost some of the experience buy just buying singles rather than the excitement of opening packs after grinding for cash but I really enjoyed the storyline and the way we progressed through life stages. Loved all the card art too, my first card was a simple Blue Shoe, and how quickly my collection grew after that :D

Thanks for playing our game, really enjoyed yours too!

ingest|digest by vivid-hallucination 2025-10-12T15:02:52Z

Really love this game, great mood and aesthetic. Great work!

Call Hector by Crak 2025-10-12T18:33:35Z

Amazing idea with the codes, what a cool way to make the game multiplayer without having to worry about people being online at the same time to experience it together! It perfectly ties into the core theme around trading too, not to mention the collecting angle. Honestly a really solid entry for the jam, fantastic work all around! :D

Pigment of your Imagination by Ranarh 2025-10-07T18:50:23Z

I enjoyed it! Collecting the pigments was satisfying though I wasn't sure if I had completed it or not. It might have been useful to have some indication of which pigments we still needed to collect to finish the mural (as I thought I had all the colours available on the mural but the game didn't progress / end.) Still a very calming game and very satisfying!

The stamp thief by bit0 2025-10-07T23:20:42Z

Really cool concept, great work making some of the most and least valuable stamps look really close. Allowing the player to choose where the letters are in the mailbox is also great since it allowed me to sort them into "definitely not worth taking", "check closer" and "definitely take" piles. All around a really cool game, my only complaint would be that the sound where you place the sound into the box is a little too loud compared to the rest of the audio. Still a really solid entry, nicely done!

Collector`s Insomnia by MrV 2025-10-12T13:01:33Z

Great graphics and mood, loved the environments. I had some trouble with the controls, and in one level I seemed to die when touching the floor beneath the spikes (I believe it was the second level of the final sphere where you probably need to dash to get from one side to the other, but I jumped thinking it would be safe but then got killed by the hitbox of the spikes above.)

Still, really cool little platformer. Nicely done!

A1 MAS Collector by Boncebon 2025-10-12T16:00:19Z

Great aesthetic and pretty cool mood too. Loved how you handled the NPC animations for the opening cutscene.

Gibberwave by yiwai 2025-10-12T15:50:31Z

Really cool idea for a game! I definitely had some trouble detecting the correct choices in the final area but once I understood the rules it made sense. Great work on this!

A suspicious game by Dalanbart 2025-10-12T15:55:17Z

Funny concept for a game, glad to see I'm not the only one who realised you could steal the baby haha. It'd have been cool to see more levels but for a game jam game this is really great! I saw you mentioned a future version in another comment, would be great to see that. Nicely done!

HUEVO by Mikita gancharou 2025-10-08T00:04:10Z

Very cute graphics and relaxing gameplay, I'd say the only thing I'd say is that it'd be good if the egg priced scaled a bit or there was a way to make eggs more valuable to reach the later upgrades. I'd agree, some kind of auto-seller might have also helped though that might lose some of the charm of running the farm yourself. Either way, had a good time with this, thanks for playing our game as well!

BulkUp by naru 2025-10-12T15:32:18Z

Love how absolutely ridiculous the premise is, short but sweet and fun game. I can't really think of anything I'd critique, it just seems like a good game jam game! Great work on this!
