A creative take on the classic Snake concept! That's cool)
Interesting idea, good execution, only complaint is that friendly snakes can kill you and you cant tell apart enemy clan houses from yours.
The game is great :) The ideas of expanding the territory and add other snakes to help you is really creative !
First of all... wow, you’ve included an intro sequence! That was a very pleasant surprise a great touch. Secondly, the way you’ve reimagined the "Snake" concept is simply excellent, I’ve never seen anything like it before. Personally, I might have liked the option to call the snake out of its den with the press of a button, but it works perfectly well even without that, it adds an interesting layer of difficulty and forces you to keep a close eye on your snake.
~~@diana-zubareva not sure I understand, could you clarify what you mean by an intro sequence?~~
Ah I get it know, I thought you meant like a narrative intro 😄 Thank you for checking the game out! Yeah I suppose it'd make sense to be able to leave the house on command.
Burning down a rival snek's house while it just returned home is very satisfying. I like the concept of expanding your snek empire with multiple autonomous sneks doing their own thing. I think the map is a little too large or the snakes are too short, there isn't a lot of snaking going on right now unless you intentionally grow very long. But it would be neat if the autonomous sneks would also grow beyond 10.
Anyway, I enjoyed my playthrough! After a bunch of expansions I still only had the option to build houses or expand the map, so I think I unlocked everything.
big fan of the detail switching when zooming in and out its really well done
Such a cool concept! I never would've thought to combine snake and a civilization builder. The whole thing is really polished, excellent work on this.
Love this game! So relaxing. Same snake game but without punishment and always with upgrades. Well done!
Finally, someone has come up with something new and interesting in Snake. I haven’t seen any similar projects in a long time, and that really deserves praise.
Snake mixed with a civilization builder is a really fresh combo, and having autonomous snakes expand your territory sounds great. One small thing: it seems hard to tell rival houses apart from your own. Nice job!
Snake growing into a little civilization builder is a fun direction. The houses and territory upgrades in the screenshot make that progression easy to picture. Giving rival houses a more distinct colour could help keep the growing map readable.
If you have a moment, I'd appreciate a rating on my latest game, [Robot Workshop](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/60/trashfight).
What a funny game! I like how you decided to expand the classic snake game. And I like that later on this game turns into some sort of slither.io XD Great job overall :>
Ah! I had a great time with this! Lovely direction, lovely escalation. at one point I lost control of the individual guys but got it back. Really fuck concept it was kinda lovely to just watch the many many snakes wander the map.
This is so cool and always great to see a new take on snake! Great job!
Fun game, really liked such development of gameplay ideas for 'Snake', honestly it seems to me that something could actually come out of this, sorry for such a crude suggestion, but add mechanics from Vampire Survivors or any other progression system and this will be a full-fledged game in this genre.
As for what I didn't like - there's no indication of your houses, because of which you have to either remember them or bump into them and die. The AI of allies is a bit annoying, I really would have wanted to be able to give them orders, since we're already using the mouse for building.
But this is all just rambling, I bought all the upgrades and spent about 45 minutes in the game, in my opinion just an excellent result for you! Good Job!
So cool! I liked the revisted snake A lot of attention to details and polish: The AI behavior is working very nicely, the zoom is smooth and the "simplified view" are a nice addition Overall really liked it!
Very cool concept and implementation, love the amount of "quality of life" stuff you put here as buyable upgrades.
Wasn't sold on the idea at first but the upgrades are brilliantly thought out and executed. Super fun play

This feels like a very novel take on the Snake formula. 🙂 I always have a soft spot for incremental games like this. ❤️
I never thought I would see such a creative expansion of the old Snake mechanics but you did it! Also the presentation is very polished and clean! I very much liked that you could right-click out of it and just watched your snakes going about collecting stuff. 🍏 🐍

What a unique and unexpected mix of genres! Lovely music and graphics too, not much negative to say about this one :D (if only I liked Snake)
That was a lot of fun! I don't usually play downloadable games, but you had me on the hook with "snake" and "civilization builder" 😆. Controls were just great, I often did tight maneuvers and thought the keys maybe wouldn't be recognized and the snake did exactly what I wanted him to. Were you doing queuing of multiple turns or something? It felt perfect. Music got a little repetitive, could have used some more variety there. I wish there were slightly more interesting upgrades to buy (large dead snakes leave forests or something would have been awfully interesting). Finally winning the game by bringing in my 100-long snake for the final points was a ton of fun (and intense, hoping I didn't mess it up) =). Nice job!
@jimbly thanks! Yeah we buffer up to 3 inputs, and also overwrite them if you input a direction, and then an opposite one right after. Happy it worked out well ^^ Congrats for getting to the end! We definitely should have more mid- and late-game upgrades, but ran out of time.
Great innovation on the classic snake game. Love the graphics, though the music got a bit annoying after a while. Good work -- well done!
