Fun Little game, fun little text adventure/old point&click deaths vibe. Played through the end.
Fun weird demon visuals, I did feel like it was a little bit slow and monotonous.
Fun Cool Promising Premise! I found it difficult to navigate between the buttons in a timely fashion and wished they were mapped to keys, so i didn't get far past the first couple of obstacles. I also felt the wall of text at the beginning was too mush to read, and the game made intuitive sense, so it seemed unnecessary. I enjoyed the aspect of having to sort of buy the necessary tools to complete the loop, and had a lot of fun. Spent more time with this than I have with most.
charming music and simple elegant graphics. classic little time clone puzzle platformer. had a good time with this one.
@archimagus yeah! A buddy of ours is a composer and did this really incredible job! He set up some loops we ended up not having the time/know how to put in, but we're hoping to get to it working on the game in the future! https://soundcloud.com/krugbit/need-for-steam
Dang! This thing was tense. Cool Puzzles enjoyed the fast paced trial and error of it. Didn't finish but I enjoyed what I did play of it. Overall solid game.
Wow! Really incredible little game! I've only looked at a few games just yet but this is the first one I felt like spending significant time with! Fun graphics, goofy sound, and I was intrigued and entertained enough with the gameplay on the face of it to really want to find out what it was to be a good boy!
I thought this one was a lot of fun, one of my favorites of the jam so far. I think there's a real possibility for this sort of thing to become monotonous but this game really struck a mood. I just finished Outer Wilds a little while ago and I feel like this scratched a bit of that itch. Really enjoyed the slow thoughtful orbit, had a good time with this one.
Fun little game with a crisp polish. Enjoyed the thoughtful puzzler elements based in simple mechanics.
I love your cute graphics and integrated title sequence! We thought about doing something like that but it fell by the wayside. The variety of marine life really added up to a delightful visual experience.
Always really really incredible to see this in depth compo entries. I also really like seeing setups with genres where you'd normally expect combat but there is none. What could be a very straight forward hack and slash is a much more thoughtful but also frantic dash as you accumulate enemies trailing you through the dungeon.
Liked the pixel art and simple sound design. Main loop kept me engaged for a WHILE.
Kind of neat but I very quickly found myself off in the far unfinished parts of the level. Its quite easy to get out of bounds during the first puzzle. Had to start over after I got totally stuck in the river. Fun art and antagonist.
Rad game! Great graphics. Had a lot of fun with this one. Real funny.
Well I like rogues and twin stick shooters. This was neat and fun and polished, with art and music to keep me drawn in. Definitely a bit hard, but I think that's probably good for something suited for a game jam. Good mana recovery system, makes you consider just that one more element of strategy in a fight.
I really liked fun murky feel of this. Felt like the music really contributed. I will say I think I had trouble identifying the exits sometimes since they black and not visually emphasized, and I wasn't sure what my powerups were doing. I enjoyed the cute art style and I'm impressed with your creation of a whole procedurally generated world.superaquagoth.png
This was a lovely little experience, I really like having short delightful games to play looking through all these entries. Was the audio not original? I ask because I really enjoyed but its not something I was able to rate you on. Anyway it was really pretty and I liked the weird mood the blue spots gave me.
Seemed neat but I couldn't afford to get the first building. Fun art, would have like some audio.
Had a nice solid well paced loop that pulled me through the whole game. It's easy for this kind of thing to become grindy and repetitive, but every time you buy and upgrade here there's a genuine sense that mining is slightly easier and that you're making noticeably more money.
this was a delightful little experience. I do wish there had been a bit of music and maybe some little effects, but had a lot of fun with this hand drawn jellyfish gallery nonetheless. Makes me want to put in some hand drawn stuff next time.
DANG YOUR ART SLAPS. Controls were a little weird and floaty so I had some trouble getting into it, but I loved loved loved how looked. Aspirational to be honest. Would love to have some simple music in it, feel like I could have played it for ages like that.
Honestly really had a fun time with this, just running around and seeing the cool stuff. Gave me one of the heartiest chuckles of the jam.
Really fun game! The twitchy enemies, fast paced soundtrack, explosion effects, shrieking angry lines of sight add up to a tense and humorous game!
This was a fun little game. I enjoyed the simple visuals and music. This has a kind of problem solving I feel like could be appealing to really sit down and play with for a longer game.
Weird and atmospheric! The noises were nicely spooky and I liked all the little plants and varied terrain. I will say I had trouble discerning which bits of terrain were impassible, but overall I'll be thinking about this one.
This was a really funny premise and just kind of a cool experience. I really enjoyed reading the lengthy tutorial as I was painfully aware of drowning to death. I really don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this. I also really appreciated the music, having that audio component really helps me stay engaged with a game.
I am astounded you guys put this together in 72 hours. This was really fun, really polished, cute, cute charming funny. I didn't feel like the enemy AI was too stupid or too hard, and the levels all felt very manageable. I always appreciate having nice short concise games going through this volume of submissions for the event, but I think I would have loved to play this even longer. Rad game.
lol, fun goofy game. Actually felt nauseous at the sound design. Nailed the execution on this one.
I like the premise, I used to keep a lot crazy stuff in my own pockets, and your graphics and sound are a lot of fun. I wonder if it might have served you to have the arrows be color coded as well? I found it really difficult at first and had to keep exiting to check what did what colors corresponded to what move. Your art is delightful and I enjoyed all the different junk popping up.
Sweet and short! Had a lot fun, hilarious and also very cute intro cutscene. I found myself out of ammo at the end of the level and forced to frantically lead the enemies around rather than try to kill them directly. I really like that kind of situational depth. I also like that you could see your friends in parts of the level that you couldn't quite get to at the time. Solid entry!!!
Fun to see all these submarine games! I really like your cute sharp aesthetic and I always enjoy having a nice short simple play going through these submissions.
Dang! That made me genuinely emotional! While its mechanically very simple, it uses the distinction (but also non-distinction??) between hurting and being hurt to great effect. I felt a sense of genuine sorrow for each turtle that unintentionally killed as it hurled it self out of the darkness toward me. Thanks for a good one.
Enjoyed! Fun combat and a nice little bit of sound design kept my attention. Unfortunately had a tendency to become stuck on an early piece of geometery off to the left of the start. Overall, good art, fun bits of level design that put the combination of fiddly physical combat and stealth to good use.
Neat little game. I like the gradual addition of more color up to the end. Even just the white and yellow and green from the gray landscape was striking. I had to look up the solution for the teddybear puzzle, but after that they were fairly easy. Decent music gave that little extra I need to stay engaged with a game all the way through.
Coll game and models. I found the oxygen conversion element a little tedious and difficult, and I died a lot frantically fumbling with it and going out of control. I think simple power resource might have been better. I really liked the sonar effect, both the visual and audio elements were really choice, and pulled me into the game.
Had a fun time with this played through level 10. Decidedly a fun goofy premise, with a nice polish.
Wild look! The layout threw me for a second but I got used to how the info was displayed pretty quick. Neat and fast paced, got a distinctly nostalgic vibe.
Neat Game. Took some time to get the hang of but felt a sense of achievement for completing levels. Might have been good to have some audio feedback, as I was often unable to really tell if I'd been hit. also would have liked some kind of break between level end and upgrade, as I often accidently got the dash upgrade when I wanted something else.
I had a really fun time with this! I played through it I think 3 times, ending up with not quite a 3 minute High score. The first 2 times I died from the disc gun, but I got the hang of it after that. I really really dug the crunchy sound effects and voice over. It lent it a familiar charm.
Supper fun overall, hope you do well in the scores!
Nice game! I got to wave 23, and couldn't do a thing against those big dark swirly enemies! Really liked the enemy variety, gave some tasty strategy to this. Simple graphics made big piles of them easy to differentiate too.
An all around fantastic game! I played it 3 times, beat hard mode! enjoyed the chipper tune and crunchy sound. Reminded me of the old falling sand games, a big nostalgic nugget.
Lol I was just talking about carcinization the other day. I liked the graphical filter, got a goofy obra dinn vibe from it. One of the funnier entries I've played, and nice and brief.
Found the movement kinda disorienting and janky. I did definitely get a little chuckle out of the ending.
Seemed cool, but at my resolution, the dialogue box blocked me from clicking the build button.
This was a cute little game. I couldn't figure out how to start fights when I had someone on my team, and it often took several clicks to get the truck to move on. I did enjoy the art and funny little enemy concepts.
Started I think 3 play throughs? couldn't seem to stop a goose far from my sight from dropping a duece ending the game. Definitely funny I think? Sitting here baffled and chuckling, so I think 5/5 for humor at least!
I played this for maybe 20 minutes, just got cracking into actually getting the king any beer! Very intricate, I enjoyed the goofy voiceover, and I definitely spend a lot of time with this style of game in my freetime. That said, it was a little bit lengthy and involved for what I like in a jam game. I think ramping up the speed on the horses might help, and perhaps making the cart setup a little more streamlines. Even just making it so that its set up to select a new waypoint when one is added could make a world of difference.
This looks cute but I couldn't get any version of it to run! In the web version it comes just short of loading completely, and the download would launch, but then immediately exit.
It took me a second to figure out what I was supposed to do. I initially though I was meant to move around the meteors. I got it on my third try and had a fun time with it. Love the simple 3 color graphics and animations. Love a short sweet entry.
Really incredible compelling entry! Found it because somebody covered it on youtube! Congrats! I liked the simple loop that really lent itself to the story and theme. I particularly liked how Xora mentions he can direct the magic, which made me realize there were different moves available and made me more effective. Cool little piece of midgame tutorializing that, really slick.
I think I got about half way through the boss' heealth bar? love the degree of graphical polish, had fun with this, each single playthrough was nice and snappy.
I really enjoyed this little game. I think its a really nice simple concept, I'd love to see something like this implemented with a more complex system. I love the art and the simple arena. I like how it tells its simple story very quickly though simply game play. Solid Entry!
This was a really engaging tight game! I loved the enemy an weapon variety. One of the best times I've had so far
Cute clicker! I am not sure if the first autoclicker works?
This was a fun little game! The collisions had satifying feedback and I chuckled each time.I would have liked if there had been some kind of audio or visual indication that I was boosting up the satilite as I was not sure if I was boosting them at all at first!
This is an extremely cute game! I like the goblin butts! The mood/humor/art all really come together for a great vibe!
I liked the tight simple aesthetic and simple but understandable combat abilities. I did find that once I got down to just the solider, it was relatively easy to just run around the map and not get caught. Still, a rad little game that seems like it could be a foundation for something much more involved!
@pianoman373 thank you that means a ton! Flash games on Newgrounds were a big inspiration for me as a kid!
This was neat and solid and simple. Would have loved a little sound, but otherwise didn't really feel like anything was missing, just a tight little game that I feel completes it's premise.
This was a blast! I was able to keep up running past guys for about 500 seconds until all of a sudden there was nowhere to go. Great little time, took me a second to get oriented on the controls.
This was a cute little game! I liked the sidebar on itch it made me think of old arcade games. It made me realize I really need to work on my number typing! Looking at an earlier comment I see that there is indeed a way to get out of the bin! Certainly something to put in the tutorial next time, but over, fun cute little entry :)
I see a lot of people saying this, but definitely really liked the black holes. I see a lot of people plying with the idea of distorting the 10 seconds and that seemed like a really cool way to do it. Audio vibes were immaculate, and I loved the chunky 3D asteroid sprites.
Fun Short little game! I was unable to click on either of the round timer upgrades, so my time with it was cut a little short. I'm seeing other people recommending adding some kind of soul collection upgrade, and I thought much the same thing on my playthrough. GG!
I was really entertained with this, I really loved seeing you post the updates on the models during the jam. Couldn't quite win, but I liked the loop well enough to try like 5 times. Hella cute, GG.
This is one of the funniest games I've ever played on a jam! I loved just grinding out horrible vowel sounds! I did have a problem where the playback on the end would drop in volume suddenly, but overall a great time!
I had a fun time with this! I only realized close to the end of my play through that I could get a launch with the car, and had some fun with what time I had. I got 7 disks! Cool entry!
Hey! This game was delightful! I liked the simple good mechanic and the cute story and character portraits! a grand little game!
This is a very pretty and vibey game! I had little bit of an issue where the text would pop away almost instantly, but otherwise felt the intended experience cam across quite well. I loved the water effect, very simple and very striking. GG
I liked the dog graphic at the start. I also enjoyed working my way back through the level with the stamp. GG
Neat little game and impressive for such a short time! I think it might have been nice if the starting leg was just a little longer, but overall a short fun time. Scored 13. GG.
ldgameshot.png Goofy fun. Good escalation, I liked how things got out of hand.
I think this is a favorite of mine so far! It was very naturally tutorialized creating an evolving and escalating difficulty. It felt so cool to by the end be able to fly around corners using different thrusters with a huge payload. Honestly I would play more of this, I love a game where a cumbersome movement scheme gets to feeling smooth. Kinda snake passish. GG.
This was really solid and I had a lot of fun. I think my first run spawned the delivery point somewhere inaccessible, but after that I had no issues, and a nice tense time. I like that ammo management was genuinely tough. GG
Neat entry! I could crack level 41 myself, but I thought it was cool you managed to create to many levels with so many mechanics while introducing each one smoothly. Like some others, I had trouble figuring out what the ? tile meant. GG.
This is a great little entry! I really hated the screm!(in a good way) I liked that all the information on the purballs status was conveyed very clearly with both sound and graphics. I'll note I encountered a bug when I lost the first time where when I tried to restart I was holding a purball that I could not put down. I felt like this was a really dynamic challenge, with just enough moving parts to interesting to solve. My first time through I thought I should make as many purballs as possible, and that quickly grew out of control. The second time I tried to keep it more manageable, though it was starting to get out of hand as I was delivering my 10th. GG!
This was pretty neat. I saw you addressed this, I did also find the controls a little too much, but will also say I totally get wanting to make an intentionally janky wild experience, and have done repeatedly myself! I loved all the thumping, and thought your graphics were really neat. GG
Fun and creative, it took me a while to get the hang of the rhythm, but I was doing great by the end. I though it was done after the first song, and was delighted by the second. Very funny, GG.
This was a really solid entry! I liked the good simple game loop, and particularly liked how the challenge escalated through the game. I feel like you don't see that very often. GG!
This was fun and short and cute! I liked all the models. I feel like with being able to jump so high, could probably have even more apples in harder to reach locations, such on some of the roofs. I liked the music, it set a good mood. GG.
This was really delightful! I haven't bumped into a game yet during this jam that I felt really compelled to work to do really well in, but I kept flying around and around on a second try to put together a perfect note. Lovely work, GG.
Had some trouble understanding what the various parts were meant to do. It seemed like I could create spiked fences endlessly, but I couldn't figure out what they were meant to do as the wolf went right past them. I did find the graphics and audio charming. GG
I liked the terrain variety and evolving puzzle design. That said, I did start get some pretty gnarly carpal tunnel issues by the end. I think the game might be helped by an indicator of where the force is going, and perhaps an early prompt to drag the mouse clear across the screen, as I didn't realize I could do that until about half way through the game. Always impressed with compos that can take simple mechanics and make them work for a whole a game. GG
This was really fun! It took me a second to figure out the system but I ultimately it made sense once it got going! Intuitive!
I liked the novel battle system! art was rad and I liked the sludgy vibe!
I really liked this game and played a lot of it! the relation between damage and physical size is something I think about simulating a lot, and I think this game provides a really interesting answer! I did find dying at the edge of the screen a bit frustrating, but that didn't stop me from playing it through to the end. Nice work!
Ah! I think will be coming back to this one. It's really tricky, but so satisfying to play and I found myself rocking out to the music. NICE WORK!
I think this is a really cool concept, have a moving base that you need to return to. That said, I found it really difficult to get my way back once it said it was time for the attack, and it seemed like the drill enemies were just coming to me. I'd love to see more games with this idea though! nice work:)
yooooooo! this kicks ass! I was really enjoying the tight and kind a mellow gameplay and then the music kicked in for the bigger part and it was crazy! This is such a neat vibey concept and I love how it scales variable its working with from the start to create an interesting challenge! Nice Work!
Ah! this was really lovely and satisfying! I think a compelling sensory experience, and overall well paced. A thing I like doing in real life:3
This was such a vibe! I really enjoyed my time with this one, I kept pulling the hermit crab back across the screen before he could walk offscreen. Very relaxing!
I liked the art a lot! I think it could have been a bit shorter, but it kept me locked in the whole time.
This was really lovely! I liked the simple look at sound, it all really came together into a nice mood:3
Played though to the end! I liked the little card graphics, would have been nice to have an ending.
ough I played this one for a while! Might come back to, especially now that I'm seeing other people's machines! Really loved the look of it!
Nice simple concept! It was challenging enough to be interesting to play through a few times. Nice choice for a learning game too, excellent work.
ah this was lovely! I remember playing a physics crate moving game of yours some years back and this is just as excellent as that was! perfect scope, great gameplay! only complaint was I got a bug where the skull got stuck the first time I played it, but it was good enough I wanted to start over anyway:3
Solid entry! The charge panels were a cool variation on the programming mechanic!
This was a lot of fun! I spent a lot of time puttering around at the end looking for dust, didn't complete but the move set was fun enough on its own. Nice work!
I had a really nice time playing this! I think you nailed the vibe and pacing, and I felt genuinely satisfied with the ending:3
Cute Game and cute art! I keep wanting to make something more arcadey like this!
