I LOVE the global leaderboard. It really gives you something to play for

I LOVE the global leaderboard. It really gives you something to play for
Great models given the time constraints. When I'm walking downwards, I have to stop and wait for the camera to catch up though.
Really great art and music; reminds me of Total Party Kill. Very impressive for 48 hours.
Cool puzzles. The trade-off between killing pawns or pressing buttons was interesting to try to figure out.
Cool music and interesting 2-players 1-keyboard setup. I'm not sure if it's intentional that both players die if they run into each other, but it's definitely funny either way lol
I love these little dudes. This is a very ambitious game to make in 48 hours, and you did a great job
This is by far the best LD game I've played. Great concept, beautiful visuals and sound, all around brilliant. If I had to give some criticism (and I'm really digging here), I think the controls are a little awkward. I'm not sure if I want the cat to be diving vertically or staying sideways like a parachute.
Gorgeous game, but also frustrating at times. You lose health even if you barely tink an asteroid. All warnings are the same sound effect, so if pirates attack while your storage is full, or fuel is low, it's not clear that there's a new danger, especially if you're in the shop which obscures the mini-map. The amount of stuff there is crazy impressive for 48 hours though! I particularly enjoyed the little orange astronauts that pour out when you die.
Not a bad puzzle. Near the end, I feel like I was just mindlessly walking around and running into levers. IMO the best part was in the middle where you have to go back and turn off a lever that you previously had to turn on. That required a little thinking.
That sound design is godly! It really tied the whole thing together. The difficult controls really hurt the experience though, especially since you take damage for falling a little more than a single tile.
I like the throwing mechanic; it was very refreshing to not just shoot projectiles out of a gun like most other games. The death screen showing time, score, and number of treasures found lets players try to optimize whatever they think is funnest, which is really cool.
What a great game! Super funny concept and actually fun gameplay. Only criticism is I wish I could see how few attempts it took me to win
Depthplosion has the best mood of any of the LD games I've played so far. It's the only one of these games I've found scary. The stark lighting, constant threat of being blown up, strange sounds, and lack of any way to fight back worked very well together. Also, my computer is a potato so I got 2-3 fps with input lag of about 1 second, which contributed to the feeling of helplessness.
Great graphic, and fun gameplay too. I'm not sure I needed all that gold though. After a couple upgrades, I was just accumulating more gold than I could use. I guess it is good for looking at tho :)
Fun to play, and I liked the little pearls of wisdom. It felt good to upgrade my oxygen tank, but after a couple upgrades it felt unnecessary because I could always comfortably get all the treasure with about half a tank left over.
This game was fun to try to highscore on. I figured out you can double click on the drill to make it continue going in the same direction. The first of the double clicks can also place a building, so I would click on the house in the shop, then double click the drill repeatedly along a row to place lots of houses. I'm not sure if the ability to do this is intentional or emergent, but it was fun to discover either way! One thing I'll say is that if you add cool stuff to your game, like the city, but it's too expensive, players will use it once and then ignore it.Screen Shot 2021-04-26 at 1.58.25 PM.png
I can tell you put a crap ton of effort into this, and it shows. Very funny concept, and not bad gameplay either. I feel bad for the elephant tho... those spikes :(
Gangbusters sound design, and great pixel art! I enjoyed the simples controls for scaring off the wolves, they seemed very intuitive.
Fun, and also very frantic! When standing on the middle platform, it's just barely possible to dodge a big bomb when one comes into view. Great submission.
The lighting and aesthetic are very nice, but it's a bit slow. There's a lot of down time waiting for something to happen
Your game has a great aesthetic, but I have problems switching to a different pickaxe once I pick it up. Great for a first entry!
Great graphics and sound. The black text on a dark brown background is *very* hard to read however
Very fun, tight game. I had some slight problems with the procedural generation, where power-ups were inaccessible behind water. Procedurally generating maps might have been too ambitious for LD, where most people will only play through once. The boxes vanishing after you touch them was a smart choice, and removed some of the frustration with the typically clunky steer + forwards/backwards control scheme.
The dialogue was charming. I didn't think I'd play a game where I ended up in a toilet today, but here I am. Good thing her friend doesn't chew her jelly beans though
I hate it when the Godot icon chases me and makes me piss smh
This was legitimately fun to play. Some cool looking obstacles would help, rather than just circles and rectangles, but the important thing is that every time I died, I wanted to play again. My high score is 297 btw
Interesting mechanic, and fantastic ending
It's a very fun and unique concept. It seems like map generation has a big impact on how far you get though. When I got my high score, it felt like I just got a good map rather than I accomplished something.
Great art and dialogue. Unfortunately I didn't get very far because of the controls and difficulty.
@yopox Cool level! Lots of personality with so few pixels. I did get stuck inside a pillar when I walked off the right edge of the platform though
Brilliant! I've rarely seen something so cool in LD :D I love the community aspect where levels can be made with nothing but MS Paint. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to allow for different color palettes, but I imagine there are technical limitations I'm not aware of. Cheers
Very tough! High marks for humor and audio, that was great
The lack of camera control and limited movement (can only jump off a blue object once, then you're drifting) contributed to a sense of helplessness that I would normally call a flaw in a game. But I wouldn't call it a flaw here. The whole game seems to be about helplessness since we're playing as a cat pushed around by forces we can't comprehend let alone control. Nekonova's Not Home captures that feeling better than any of the other LD games I've played. That plus the gorgeous art (especially the black and white spawning animation) and sound design make this a super impress entry. My high score was 13 by the way.
Very difficult and frustrating, but well worth it! Comparing this to Getting Over it with Bennett Foddy may be cliche at this point, but they are very similar in that progress is difficult and slow, and it's all taken away very quickly. Also similarly, the player is helpless to watch as they fall, minutes of work being erased every second. I think this game is less frustrating because losing progress is sometimes attributable to randomness (rather than sucking at the game), and there are also some rare boosts from the bouncy things

Very technically impressive homage to Doom, but serious performance problems for me on Windows. The first level was about 1 fps, and improved to 2-5 after that. I got the blue key, but after looking around for a few minutes still couldn't see what the red button had changed
Very fun and interesting take on the theme! Unfortunately magenta + yellow and yellow + blue didn't seem to react at 95 and 100 degrees respectively, possibly related to the low performance I'm getting on my macbook (about 2 fps).
Simple concept with good art. Pretty good by LD standards. Only thing I'd suggest is some way for the game to get harder over time so that a high score feels like an accomplishment. Also, I appreciated the rare appearance of the all seeing eye 👀

Very elegant and meditative. The camera movement seems a bit slow, but I suppose that contributes to the game's calm atmosphere
Fun puzzle, and the last level was a good amount of difficulty. The music was too loud at the beginning to hear hear the instructions, but at least the music is good.
Stellar music! I evaded the rocks by holding up for a while, then just enjoyed the music
What a difficult puzzle! Some of those torch traps were kinda precise to set up, but definitely rewarding when they paid off. Great music as well, gj!

Tough game, but nifty and simple. You do a good job of introducing new mechanics one at a time
Getting stuck on walls was frustrating, but overall a good entry. Great music, art, and concept. It took me longer than I care to admit to realize the food had to match what they were thinking lol
Good art and concept. I especially liked the news announcements at the bottom. I do think it would be nice if blocks could be unlocked, or if achieving a certain height let you buy more blocks. Overall, great game!
What a fun little deck builder! The replicating spores do a great job of creating a sense of urgency. Well done
A fun narrative with great art! The attention to detail is also impressive
The jumped-on blocks destroying themselves is a fun concept that makes the game a bit more puzzly. The music was really charming too
