Loved this! I really like the art style of the barrel sub/ship. The turning mechanic was really great too. Also special mention for the rising water effect, makes me wonder how it was implemented.

Controls are really tight and quite fun for such a simple game. Would love to see a co-op version of this. The music is really nice here.
Fun, and also very frantic! When standing on the middle platform, it's just barely possible to dodge a big bomb when one comes into view. Great submission.
Animations looks very well. At first i didn't understand what i'm doing, but when i check controls it was fun! Good job!
Very cool, I liked how when my submarine was full of water, the water inside had some gravity to it when the submarine was leaning.
Hey, who left all these bombs in the water?
I quite liked this! Solid idea, great pixel art. My favorite touch is how the water level stays at a consistent level, even when your ship is tilted.
My main critique is the bomb frequency/placement. I avoided most bombs for the first few hundred depth units without needing to steer; that can be good for onboarding new players, but I think that "safe" window can still be shorter than it is now.
Great work!
Quite a fun and frantic experience. I enjoyed how the mistakes start piling up on each other and it becomes less about avoiding damage altogether and more about trying to prolong your inevitable demise. Needing to move around the ship adds an extra layer of strategy, since draining water commits you to not turning. Sometimes you just having to watch as your ship takes hit after hit, which adds to the helplessness. You don't have a lot of time to see bombs coming, which could feel unfair at times, but also added to the tension. Overall, the game is effective at capturing a panicked, helpless mood.
really fun game. the effect of the water when it fills your submarine is cool.
This had some amazing sprite work, and it gave off that barotrauma feel. overall I really liked it, but it felt a bit punishing at times since the screen was so zoomed in I often didn't have time to move before the bomb hit me. I don't know if there is a run mechanic I missed? but I think it would help if the camera was zoomed out a bit, or shifted down, since you really don't need to see the top part of the ocean.
Good job guys!
I liked the balance of the submarine, is really fun
I really liked the music and the art. One gripe about the art, the red boilers looked like doors, so I didn't know those were to be interacted with. I did enjoy the experience of panic as the water starts to set in. I liked the water effects and rising water as well.
Really fun game! I loved the running around trying to get the ship out of the way, then realizing you were too late and deciding to just get some bailing in. I thought I was smart, I tried to just stay at the bailing station and see if I could bail fast enough to make it. Nope! I got to six or seven water holes and it filled right up. Really cool entry!
Not bad at all. The character is a bit sluggish and slow but i like these ship management games.
Very much like lovers in dangerous spacetime! Not sure what the bottom wheel did but I was drifting around mines like I was in fast in furious.
I really enjoyed your game!
- The music is awesome, feeling like a subaquatic pirate - Visually very cool, the ship is well detailed, the water coming inside, everything is smoothly animated, congrats - I really loved the concept of getting macro while moving in the submarine, but having a global view of what's happening when controlling valves like a spaceship - The only thing that annoyed me a bit is the "physic" of the character. As the man game is a small platformer, I think the character is too "slidy" and have a huge inertia, which make the whole thing very difficult.
Anyway, really cool game, I would love to see a post jam version :)

Super enjoyable game! Reminds me of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and has the same hectic feel to it! My only gripe is that later on, you don't have enough reaction time to move to the left and right steering modules. Maybe move the submarine towards the top of the screen to leave more room at the bottom?
This is an awesome idea for a game. I love the tension from approaching a group of mines and the race to the boilers. The graphics are also really nice. Great job on this game
Awesome concept for a game! I love the idea of controlling a large thing with normal controls. It was a little clunky to move around the ship, but the concept is there. I love it!
Thanks for participating in the jam!
I really enjoyed your entry. I think some sort of a minimap would have been a nice touch, so you didnt have to be 100% reactive, or maybe a beneficial thing you could run into so everything wasn't negative
Loved the art and music.
Nice work!
This is a solid, well polished game! The graphics are nice, the music is catchy, and the gameplay is fun! Well done.
It's so devilishly simple, yet so so good, having to physically move to other parts of the ship making you able to only do one thing at a time is so good, you guys really made every right decision here, the art is also incredible, the character feels a bit heavy but not in a way that gets annoying at all, it gets repetitive a bit fast but if you want to expand on this idea and make the ship a bit bigger and have more functions, perhaps with a 2 player mode, could be something really really special like Overcooked or Crawl, fantastic job!
Great idea! It has a bit of a Far: Lone Sails feel. I love the art, and the fact that the water fills up as you get hit. My only critique would be that I would like to see the character be way more agile, even if it means adding more bombs to even out the difficulty. As it was, I didn't feel that I had a lot of control over what was happening. This could be a sweet game if those manangement tasks were adding, or maybe some Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime combat. Cool stuff.
I loved this idea! Super fun to play, although I wish there was a little bit more time from when the bombs appeared on screen to when they hit you. I like the intensity though!
Got to around 1500 ish before I couldn't help hitting every bomb in sight haha!
Very simple but effective mechanics. Combining platforming with a bomb-avoidance game at the same time is an interesting idea, and a unique one in this jam as far as I've seen. The music is fun and jaunty, and the art looks good too! Good job :)
This game was incredibly polished! The sub and character art were perfect, and even the bombs looked scrumptious. If I had one complaint, it might be that the early game was a little too easy--didn't see a drop of water in my sub until I sank past the 1000 mark on my slow drift down into blackness. From then on, my sub became an involuntary bomb collection comb, picking up just about any that I passed.
I love the formula you've set up here, and see great potential in this if expanded! I'm envisioning alternate subs, some providing different benefits/drawbacks--like maybe one with steering levers nearby to each other, but the draining lever really far away.
I think it could also be interesting if you added additional stations to the subs, or maybe things for the player to steer the sub towards rather than away from--maybe something that can repair the craft? Something like floating chunks of metal, which then allows the player to go use a maintenance valve. It could add some interesting depth (pun not intended)
Either way, an impressive entry--I'm sure this will do well in the ratings
Really liked this game. The art was fun and I loved how the water looked as it slowly filled up the ship. It would be fun to have some sore of weapon on the ship too that you could shoot bombs as they are coming. I was a bit confused at first with the bottom wheel. Great game!
Very funny and intensive game. I sat at the edge of my chair and tried desperately to save the submarine XD I would like to see maybe a moving enemy like a shark to make it harder to predict the movement pattern but that is just optional. Very good work everyone!
The game felt well polished and I had a great time playing it. Great game, keep it up!
Very nice game! Interesting idea and good music. But controls make it too hard for my skills to master the game. Some sort of bomb prediction would help, I think. Anyway, good job!
This game was super fun and had interesting mechanics
Nice game and idea with pleasing art and music. You could improve it by having some way to know longer in advance where the bombs are. Nevertheless this was nice. Thank you for your game
I think you nailed the physical properties. The player can feel the weight of the submarine and the water resistance. The game is fun to play, it's simple at its core, yet challenging. Great job!
I was really, really afraid of the controls, but the submarine movement is totally on point ! It was really fun to maneuver between the mines, and I would love a full game where I can travel from one underwater city to another with the same kind of controls. Your game was pretty fun and polished, for a game jam. Good job !
Five stars on Graphics, Audio, and Mood! The art is super crisp, I loved controlling the cute little diver in his giant barrel submarine. My only gripe is that it could have used some playtesting (but that's a lot to ask for during a gamejam). It seems like 75% of the time, it's not even worth trying to avoid a mine, because by the time it appears onscreen it's already too late. Maybe add a radar?
Great game ! Make the water the player HUD of his life is really clever. It was fun to play and the game mechanic work really well. Good job I had a great time !
Nice game, it feels very polished. The gameplay was fun. The Graphics are very nice itself, I think that pixel-perfectness would have benefited it, so you don't have these strange doubled pixel sneaking around. Also the edges are very hard on the eyes, which is fine for pixel art, but looks strange to me on that high resolution art.
The premise is nice as so does mechanics, but i miss more complexity here. Like less platform-like but more controls on the ship and to be able to patch up leaks. Is there also an end game?
The controls work very nice and it's fun to scramble to the other side to try and evade in time! Also nice music.
The actual evading is fun but some stretches are a bit slow when there's no immediate danger and you just fall downwards.
Awesome, reminds me a lot of Lovers In A Dangerous Space Time. The amount of polish achieved in a jam is off the charts. Really nice! My only constructive criticism would be to have slightly changed the graphic of the lower boiler pump to differentiate it from the Left/Right ones. For the first few 100m I didn't take any damage so I had nothing to bail out, and I wasn't sure what that bottom pump was for. I thought maybe it was slowing me down or moving me down faster? Once I took some flooding, I figured it out though. Very nice overall!
Nice little game, very stylish & fun. I'd probably add another control to make the sub go faster.
Very interesting premise. I would say that the controls need to be closer or the player moves faster, but using the ship itself as the health bar is something I haven't seen before. My one major complaint would be that at any size, the UI and buttons are too small.
Game kinda blows and needs to be scratched in my opinion
