LD48 — Deeper and deeper

The Deep Inferno by neonian 2021-04-28T11:47:05Z

im not used to this genre but I had a good time with this here game. i appreciated the upgrade that lets you interact with the combat a little.

presentation is spot on, neat animations and detailed backgrounds with a solid color scheme. are the graphics original or stock?

Deeper and deeper by Adam Jewell 2021-04-28T11:28:50Z

what i enjoy most about this is how well the gritty color palette & crayon graphics work together especially with the postal/silent hill drone. the green jello is a fearsome enemy

Water Water Everywhere by Yuoh 2021-04-27T12:35:54Z

fun and quietly sinister in tone. covert manipulation of the elements is a neat mechanic. could have used one more stage

Wagon Stack! by daquxxn 2021-04-27T12:41:39Z

decently challenging and nicely polished. good use of perspective and +1 for dynamic music. it's a joy to see the carts pile up

Untrailed by bakuchi 2021-10-04T23:21:43Z

im hooked on this one. great style & presentation, and the driving inertia is satisfying. i wish dead cops couldnt bust you cause its really easy to swing into one under a smoke cloud

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Deck And Decay by ThorPalsson 2022-04-05T23:32:36Z

a neat genre blend with a great personality. I got very attached to my cardmen and were sad to see them butchered. ambling through the wasteland was relaxing, didnt stand a chance sneaking around the zombies though

Cars crusher by nyanpierre 2022-04-05T22:43:31Z

overwhelming at first but it started being real fun a couple rounds in. I think the upgrade system is great and all the crazy weapons are the star of the show. It's satisfying to gank a whole pile of pickups on your tail and swing back around to scoop up the pile of XP. typically I don't enjoy spammy dance music but the track grew on me. next time add some concrete barriers around the play area too instead of invisible walls

Cars crusher by nyanpierre 2022-04-05T23:06:39Z

another thing, the environment has some nice little details - the houses, the woods, the lake with a bridge over it. the ramps dont help too much against the horde but they are pretty badass to jump over

Ejected! by Spaint 2022-04-05T23:44:12Z

one big wacky rush with some quick thinking inventory & physics shenanigans, I enjoyed that. lot to keep track of

Live, Flame, Live! by SayuriNyooko 2022-04-06T00:00:01Z

tense & atmospheric. the illustrations leading into the menu were a great introduction, on a time budget like this that little bit of storytelling is commendable. setting off into the dark, trusting your footprints to lead you back to base while the pack of wolves creep closer - loved it

Live, Flame, Live! by SayuriNyooko 2022-04-06T00:02:49Z

also the sound design was great. very harsh and uncomfortable wilderness makes the fire all the more alluring
