It is super hard lol! Atmosphere is cool :)

It is super hard lol! Atmosphere is cool :)
Not sure how I won but I did it haha, great art and cool idea!
Nice chill vibe, not sure how the secrets are unlocked... although does that defeat the purpose of a secret? Art was neat, very chill overall. Could make for an interesting side mechanic in a bigger game.
Set a great tone and it was a very cohesive experience. Loved the drawings, especially the whale near the beginning. Chill vibe :)
Web link wouldn't load for me
Awesome! Love their pathetic little dwarf screams :)
Super cute! Art is obviously the selling point on this one :)
I thought I won at one point but I was free falling infinitely lol! I think you nailed it with saying it needs a bit of polish in level design. Great start though :)
I love all the different fishes! It was also cool how the sub dove down at an angle. The music was spot on for the game.
Nice little boss battle. I definitely cheesed and stayed uber close so that I didnt have to aim so much, had some cool skill shots with a few deflections.
Looks good for sure! I never got the timing of the block right, but I was murder machine :p
Very much like lovers in dangerous spacetime! Not sure what the bottom wheel did but I was drifting around mines like I was in fast in furious.
Looks amazing, a bit confused on the cards. The combat started making sense after a few plays. Really cool idea here!
Comments are pretty spot on, it works (which is huge!!) but it wasn't a super fun experience.
I liked flying out of the water. Might be nice to have some sort of score system/timer so that there is a goal. Music fit perfectly! The squid animation was simple and cute :)
Great start for a top down adventure game! Love the art, the title screen pixel portrait is fantastic. Some weird stuff with enemies only attacking once if they scored a hit but its a game jam so yolo! Awesome work :)
Lol could not solve it :( but really neat ideas there!
HAD no idea what was happening then I realized what dot I was lol! I liked to hide beyond the level border where it was safe.
Had the same issue trying figure out the start lol, mashed until it worked. Kinda a warioware vibe which is cool! The rocket protection messed me up real good :)
Not sure what the heck I was doing, I entered a meat grinder thing? Not sure what it was but the sound was scary! Might need some instruction for this one :)
Great little package to make the atmosphere feel in sync! Everything for me worked and had no issues with controls. Great little game jam creation!
I like that his animation kinda looks like he is stuggling a bit haha! The motion felt like you were underwater which was great.
Simple but its a cool idea for sure!
Loved the different blocks! A double theme hit with Halloween and Unstable!
I liked the ant portraits :)
Some crazy words lol! Really polished game for jam!
Fun sounds and cool atmosphere!
Deff meant for 2 people, idea is real neat tho
Not sure if the red bad boy dots are suppose to crash it, but I liked the music it was spooooky
Great all round product!
I like the viking! His voice definitely does match what I thought it would sound like haha
Works well, tricky flying around and grappling. Doesn't feel like you show die when you grapple something but fall off the screen.
Nice atmosphere you created :)
Nice visuals but you already knew that!
Works really well! Fed that tubby boy many patties
Haha many attempts but no success, interesting idea!
Reminded me alot of the old flash games we use to play in school, healthy dose of nostalgia!
Good work! As a weekend jam product it has a lot of polish and works well!
Loved the mouth lol
Works well which is always a huge success for a jam!!
Pretty sure I won lol? Got the wifi from the cafe then it was done. The pixel art is great especially if that was all done over the game jam!
Good little action shooter - the unstable effects were all neat
Movement was wild haha might need to slow it down a bit. Works well though which is huge!
Really tricky to keep the cannons from sliding off with even a couple clicks. Animations were great and idea was fantastic.
Not sure if I won or died lol. Made me chuckle a few times :)
Pretty great all round! Had some fun playing for sure :)
I thought it controlled really well :)
Voice overs were fun to add a little personality - I think you have some funny people (person maybe?) and you should let that shine through more!
Great overall product
Really cool experience, mood was on point! Struggled with my track pad to sort, but thats on me lol
Gotta start somewhere - I see you had plans to add some interactivity which would really add to this game. The jams are so quick its hard to get the features in.
Art was nice and I understood the tiny world you created. Keep at it because there is a cool experience there for sure :)
Felt a little slow to begin with but quickly escalated!
Lots of art went into the map good work!
Didn't realize they had health bars till it was too late haha
First time I played I thought I had to just keep my mouse in the square and dodge the snakey thingers lol - figured it out second round. Works well :)
The Cut noise gets yucky to the ear after a while, might be nice to have a few different noises just for varieties sake.
Works really well - nice flow and transitions. Art is great and gets the point across - love the little lizards. A lot of depth for a weekend jam game! You should be stoked on the final product :)
Great little puzzler with a cute personality. Made me think more then once, level design was great.
Could not for the life of me get the stop puzzle lol. Puzzles were neat and fun to have a decode book :)
High scores at the end are cool!
Found the game pretty tricky - took me a couple plays to understand what I was doing even with the tutorial.
The mood was great and definitely had me wanting to run for my life!
Definitely followed the arrow and instantly finished lol
I like the art for the planets some nice pixel art for sure. This gave me flash backs to the exploration system in Mass Effect 2 - unfortunately this was least favorite part of that game. Non the less some good world building and nice cohesive art direction :)
The music you made was awesome! Definitely got some super mario vibes from the background haha. The bird player was very cute :)
Sprites were good :)
Those gosh darn basketballs!!!!!
Nice little tetris/jenga/super stacker 3000 kinda game :)
Works pretty darn well, would be nice if the trash didnt bounce around in there once it hit, but thats all part of game jam fun :) had things go flying into space haha
Haha liked that it was kinda like a pop up killing frenzy. Power ups felt impactful which was a nice. I took to a carpet bombing strategy that worked well.
Sprites were nice, although ultimately my screen looked like a chaotic pixel dumpster fire, god damn NFTs lol
Same as others in that the sensitivity was lightspeed setting.
But honestly not a bad effort, dont be so hard on yourself!! A little polish is all it really needs. The mechanics were pretty solid and you managed to get a small puzzle working.
Keep grinding amigo and keep your head up, most people will never be able to create what you did in 72 hrs!
One of the best submissions I have played thus far!
Really cool color mixing mechanic, I thought it was super clever and worked well to make things more difficult.
Mechanics work well, I didnt have any issues or breaks.
I always try to give something constructive but I honestly cant think of anything I would change :)
The web build was not happy with me - not sure if others have had issues with it too, but just an FYI.
The rope physics were great, I have played a couple other games kinda like this and you guys nailed the packages attaching to the ship :)
The art and atmosphere was awesome, nice chill game loop.
I agree with some of the other comments that some more challenge would be good. At the same time though, sometimes its nice to just cruise and not worry about dying in the endless void of space. Some of us have families at home and we need a nice safe space delivery job!
Great work squad :)
Wow great overall game!! Lots of polish, your artist must have been flying!
I echo what some people said, the game is pretty darn tough. I tried a hand full of times and the mines and snipers were crazy hard to get passed before my base was dead lol. BUT most games dont get me to try again so many times so take that for what it is!
Great work :)
A little janky but thats a game jam!
Weirdly enough one my favourite parts was the start menu, I loved the design of it with the little mouse running back/forth.
Dark Souls-like delivery game ahhhhhhh lol!!
I spent 15 minutes trying to get passed level 3 and just couldnt - I am a weak weak gamer ugh. The controls were wild but I think thats the point, definitely need to up my skills before I can become an intergalactic space delivery boy.
The effects were dialed in beautifully, nice bloom and punchy particle explosions!
Great submission :)
@anguium Definitely did not know that about the sliders!!
@guardaro Glad you enjoyed it!!
@uppitydonkey57 @carkh @partysquadmember
We definitely wanted to make a slappin' tutorial but we ran outta time big time lol thank you all for sticking it out and figuring out the mechanics, much appreciated :)
@glove Genius we both saw this comment and were like of course we should aligned the rooms... We blame the "jam brain" for not thinking of this before hand!
@bitdecay haha as the artist I agree, the floor tiles are loud as hell, especially the black/white ones. If we tune the game at all after this I will definitely tone it down a bit :) thanks for playing!
@resacagames hehe you may have stumbled into our inspiration for our Mr.Beard
@aloya haha best comment ever, we think we like you too! Thanks for playing :)
@eyedromeda you aren't alone on the contrast sentiment - we might have to push a "eye-saver update" for the people. And yes we swung big on this one (for our ability at least) so it would have been nice to have alittle interactive tutorial because there is a lot going on, especially for your first day on the job! Thanks for the great feedback :)
@pazzi Thanks for the positive feedback - so happy you enjoyed a few playthroughs! Mr. Beard is based off a real competitive eater but wasn't Furious Pete haha!
@sylf @thatmisterm @misterkeefe Thank you all for the positive words - it really does mean a lot. It really is comments like these that make it worth the 3 days in a dark game dungeon with my counterpart Jesse.
@dexort haha we are seriously considering making a few :)
Really liked the music, fun little riff :)
The enemies sprites liked to go invisible on me and then I would die out of no where a few times.
Fun launching the business guys and watching them boomerang back haha
Overall good little submission!
Really great overall package, pun intended :)
It worked really well, I found it was fine on Web btw.
Mechanics were simple and effective, worked as intended (yay Luna)
Art was fun, the 3d and 2d (pixel UI) all worked well together (yay Willby)
Music was chill, was nice not to feel rushed (yay Rory, i think it said you were on sound???)
One thing that could have been a design improvement, and maybe this is just how my brain works. If the Names of locations matched the transport. For example, Vetra for Van, Parcha for Plane.
Great work though squad :)
This game filled me with rage! I died sooo damn much lol!! It was definitely tricky but once you figure out the dash jumps life becomes much easier. The movement is actually pretty good (I played on controller btw).
The hit boxes are deff in need of a bit of a tune or the sprites need to be bigger to fill the whole area. Many times I died and was not touching the spikes per my visual cues - which as a player feels crummy.
Regardless made it to the end to delivered some za to a hungry turtle bro - so all it well.
So much polish holy moly!! As the artist for our little project I was drooling at the finish screen boss art sooo good!
I actually also didnt realize there was more weapons till reading the comments, I think because it says click to continue in the cutscenes I missed the introductions.
Overall cool game :)
Score 188
The drifting feels great :)
The shooting part is a bit wonky, not sure what the fix would be maybe just leave the boxes in a straight line instead of having them kinda curve out?
A little music/SFX would also be really be great in this one I think, I just wanted a little more punch when I bulldozed every house in that poor neighborhod (Jams are a timecrunch so I get it :p)
Overall really cool idea and works pretty darn good!
Music was super groovy! Cool vibe overall.
The random generation definitely saved me on the last level I basically had two clear paths, lucky meeeee :)
Game loop worked well.
wow wow wow, you Compo crowd are mad lads! This is unreal for one person in 48 hours!!!!
Art on point, mechanics on point, SFX reminded me of Banjo Kazooie aka on point.
Nice work!
Haha pure delivery chaos, lots happening on the screen, pretty sure I was shot, mauled, crashed into and who knows what else!
MEOW! (The distant screams of my poor cat mechs echoing from their robotic graves)
What a fun little game - the strategy of placing the mechs and then also the buffs made for a much deeper strategy experience. The SFX were great, although I will continue to be haunted by the last meow from my Super Kitty Mech 045 (she was my favorite).
Fun, worked well, nice art - what else could I ask for?
This game definitely has legs to be expanded on!
Great work :)
Great use of bloom and particles to give the game a nice polish :)
The movement was nice I found it was a good speed to feel in control.
I think a little more challenge would have been good and an indicator for where the delivery spot was in relation to my bullet worm. Maybe my sense of direction is really bad but it took me a while to find the center again lol.
That music is so perfect for the tone, I could listen to those tracks all day and night.
Good work :)
WOOT WOOT first jam! Heck ya :)
Welcome to the club of crazy game devs who love the punishment of stressing themselves out for a "fun weekend thing".
Things I liked: Fun dialogue and you managed to create a whole little town with some lore and everything! It functioned as expected, classic point and click style adventure.
Things to consider: Mouse cursor was deff wonky lol took me a hot minute to start the game. Some sort of indicator would be great to let you know if something is interactable, like a white outline that appears when you hover over things that are clickable.
Ultimately so stoked for you - hopefully get to see you grow at the next jam!!
Nice art really pretty looking game :)
The rework definitely is a better version, nice to see you take the time to make some updates.
Art was awesome, praise the artist! Great looking for a jam :)
Game played well and everything worked as it should. Took me a second to get a hang of the floatiness of the drone.
Screw those guys throwing rocks at me!!!!
Nice little project overall.
I got those bad boys gooooood.
I tied more times then I would like to admit lol, took a second to realize the first moving light is just a demo lol I was terrified of it!
Simple and it works - good work.
For some reason my first play delivering the demon letters to the demon thinger was counting as a fail. So I couldnt for the life of me figure out how to deal with them lol. Lost a few rounds then tried delivering to the thinger again and it worked.
Fun atmosphere, very happy I didnt get jump scared :)
thank you for the speed up button!! Really neat idea - I made sure to read your summary which made understanding the creatures much easier.
God the part where you have to switch between all the bugs drove me to the brink lol
Fun gameplay, first game I think I have actually enjoyed the play through :)
Fun visuals, works well, has depth - what more could I ask for?
Took me a couple tries for each activity mostly to figure out what to do - I think that's the point though. The cauldron part I accidentally figured out the order didn't matter when I misclicked - which made it much easier haha - really nice pixel art. Mood was right too!
Wonderful game, I thought it was perfectly balanced for a game jam submission! Kept me interested enough to beat it but didn't take forever :)
The bear was definitely the easiest for me and the bird was the trickiest!
Polish is really nice - the 360 turning on the robot is smoooooooth! Lovely little tile set - actually looks really similar to full game I am working on so koodos to the artist :)
I think others have already stated my thoughts - needs a little more challenge whether its a timer, the monsters knock the blobs out of you or something. BUT honestly the polish is fantastic and game jams are hard to get all the features in you want so overall good work!
Neat game - really liked the painted style of graphics, really it was quite beautiful!
Definitely could have used some more challenging puzzles - however, it was a nice walk through with a cool vibe :)
Works well - sent many many little critters to their death haha! Lots of room to expand and add new features too
Definitely nailed the mood of your game - dark and eerie. Took me a while to realize I need to turn off the flash light to drop off the bugs haha. Awesome little cut scenes - nice polish :)
Hey pretty solid entry with some depth to the game! Hard because I have no friends so I played against myself to check out the mechanics, etc. Works great!
@brain-siege-gameworks The fish all have invisible weakness to one of your moves you need to figure out, damage should be 2-3x when you figure it out, the items you can buy from the shop allow give you defense/extra health/extra stamina to spend more time on a run. So ideally the game loop looks like - easy low value fish 1st run, buy upgrades to get better harder fish, repeat - then you can check the leaderboard to see if you are the ultimate fish fighter! There was a bug we fixed that essential made all the fish have the same stats so the battles should be harder now post that fix :P
The voice killed me haha! Took me a couple of tries to figure out how to place the creatures after I got them - shot a lot of facebook bees into the netherrealm - but I figured it out eventually!
Haha read your sound warning too late and got blasted XD - fun little buggies, simple design, might need some more elements to boost the fun-o-meter up a bit :)
The spiders destroyed me! Had my red ant feeling good, and then two spiders came and just killed my squad.
Idea is cool - definitely something that would be expanded on :)
Good work - vibe was right for the game with cute visuals and soothing guitar riff.
I think I echo that it would be nice to have it reset back one move or something along those lines or I could just get good I suppose :P
The puzzling was well done with good challenge and nice progression!
Great little game - 4 mini games with wonderful aesthetics :)
Maybe a visual to let you know your charged? Maybe I missed it but I just heard a noise so I would press F haha
Art was super cool :)
Works really well! I like the bouncing walls for added depth.
Cut scene was well done, and really interesting graphical style.
I was definitely confused, I saw the instructions but might have needed a little more info - I kinda sorta figured it out. Definitely a cool and unique concept - couple of tweaks and I would be intrigued to give it another go!
Instantly thought oh baby its Brotato meets Covid haha! Nice execution on the game, works well :)
Definitely a good foundation you can build off to add some more complexity if you wanted (weapons, effects, etc.) :)
Works well - simple design and works as intended.
Hey be nicer to yourself my friend!! You know how many people say "I wish I could make games" but you actually gave it a go. It has a start and achievable end - aka you made a freaking GAME!! Thats farking hype, lets gooooooo. Obs this is your first jam and its a grueling challenge. Great effort, keep working on your skills and you will get there.
Overall good puzzle design and clean mechanic for physics pushes with a cheese lure. The pushing of cheese was a little slow - made restarting annoying at times. Might be something where one push triggers the box to glide to the other end, although this might mess with some of the puzzles. What do I know anyways Im just a rat in maze looking for that cheeeeese :)
Was pretty easy to figure out what to do which was nice - cloned myself until the web browser died haha
I think alot of people already stated the things I found strange - looks like the post jam version should address them!
