The first run, I went straight to the sun and it was, well, not the experience intended uhuh. But once I started again and really explored the whole system, it was terribly pleasant. Connecting the dots to have a better understanding of the mission and the settings feels really satisfying, and gosh, the excellent theme revealling itself troughout the exploration was a pleasure. Bringed together, the settings with the musical theme and the sobber pixel art bring an excellent mood out, gg!

A great idea. The fact that the game ends if you do what you're supposed to is a brilliant idea to encourage exploration. The lore is great and as said above connecting the dots is very pleasant. The mood is perfect, art & music working really well together (strong MassEffect vibes, now I want to play it again =/) Well done!

At first I thought: "What? The game is only this?". Oh boy I was wrong, nice great exploration game!

mrschlag2 2022-04-05 11:39

Really nice ambiance in this calm and contemplative game. Thanks :)

The first time playing it I was really confused. I just followed the entrance and got straight to the end without actually exploring. Maybe just remove the arrow and let the player find the end themselves :) I mean it's an exploring game anyway.

But aside from this small thing it's a great game. I love the art, I love the music, I love the story/lore.

Well done

I really enjoyed the sound / graphics mood. Maybe you could add items like you have to find a navigation system first and then you have the arrow so its a bit more complicated

Super interesting take on the theme. I initially went straight for the sun, but on my second attempt I had a good exploration of the game world and read all the lore. Like others have said, really interesting putting it all together. Great game :raised_hands:

I enjoyed the ambience of the game. You also seemed to put a good amount of effort into the lore which is cool!

yogurtthehorse 2022-04-06 14:15

So first I just followed the arrow and ended the game in like 2 secs. And "wait??? what??" but after restart I decided to look around and realised the game has much more stuff :)

I really liked the idea and music, but gameplay actually is a bit boring for me. Would be cool to find out some long story you can interact with, make some decisions and so on :)

Oh my god... That was excellent! First time you think that it is unfinished game but then you notice that there are planets around there, you start read and at that time incredible music immerses you in the atmosphere and at last planet you understand that the inevitable is here. Great work!

This game really surprising me, there is a complete background story ! I would like more secrets to discover and more action. Controls are very fast but very pleasant. I enjoyed moving my ship across the univers :)

Good job

korvack 2022-04-07 16:50

Very nice, very relaxing. I want to have more details about the universe, to be able to explore beyond this system. It would have been nice to have more ship controls, perhaps a more complex management of the propulsion to have a real feeling of travel, exploration. (with less speed and more inertia maybe?) The music is awesome! Pixel art is pretty classic but works well. I had a lovely time in front of this game, thank you! =)

hcs-hades 2022-04-08 05:06

Definitely followed the arrow and instantly finished lol

I like the art for the planets some nice pixel art for sure. This gave me flash backs to the exploration system in Mass Effect 2 - unfortunately this was least favorite part of that game. Non the less some good world building and nice cohesive art direction :)

Definitely me off guard. Initially I wasn't sure how a exploration game could fit in as 'delay the inevitable' but placing the 'goal' and the end of the game as what is inevitable is a deep and brilliant idea (meta). Amazing concept. Gameplay wise, great art and the soundtrack is also really atmospheric. I think adding a more systematic lore (i.e. more links between the lore of different planets) for the player to figure something out would be the cherry on top. Other than that, fantastic game.

Really atmospheric music!

I was impressed to see all the different planets and the graphics were nice

Astounding music ! Made me feel like FTL (except it is not FTL)

Nice exploration game and narrative by itself.

Really good job ! :tada:

bellatrion 2022-04-10 11:54

I initially went straight to the objective... and repeated that several times, thinking the game was about repeating the same loop until something eventually changes :) Then I found about the exploration part, and wow, that's a nice take on the theme ! Also, controls feel very good :)

lpettler 2022-04-15 16:29

Really taken off guard for this one even though it fits the theme **perfectly**

I'm a very big fan of narrative driven games yet the difficulty in designing them is finding the balance between story, agency, and mechanics. In this game there is **no** agency, there are almost **no** mechanics, and there is only story. And the story is told through beautiful artwork, a haunting ambient soundtrack, sparse gameplay, alienating exploration, and a heartbreaking narrative that unfolds through all of the above. I wish this story could be fleshed out with more agency and more game mechanics but something could be lost in the story if it were. As it is, it plays beautifully and ends tragically. Great job

Music was good to make the mood of outer space. I was so focus to following the arrow that the game ended so quickly. By exploring and reading the other planets. It helped me understand the game narrative. Like the simplistic pixel art.

zackary-bazzle 2022-04-17 18:35

Great idea for the theme... Awesome work on all the planet info

sulo 2022-04-21 18:50

Superb atmosphere, nice music and nice graphics. There's also a bit of interesting lore to discover. I'm hungry for a longer version!
