LD26 — Minimalism

Somniphobia by Topaz 2013-04-30T05:47:00

The graphics are very good, and the game looks promising right from the begining. Sadly it goes downhill from there. It's a shame you didn't have more time, this could really have been great. I hope you finish this game eventually, it has promise :)

Gods Will Be Watching by Deconstructeam 2013-05-19T19:47:00

Seriously, this was an awesome game. I haven't completed it yet, but tried a few times- And will try a few more times. Excellent game!!

Buggers! by recursor 2013-04-29T21:10:00

Very nice game. I had fun squashing/spraying bugs. They even seemed to be quite clever at some points :)

Twinimalism by TenTonToon 2013-05-06T06:01:00

Good game, true to the theme, and very difficult. Good job! :-)

_M_ by GranaDa 2013-05-03T16:52:00

Very nice game. I'm not sure if I beat it or not. I figured out how to color the triangles at the bottom white, but never succeeded in getting them all white- But I did get past it a few times, so.. I won? :-)

Good job nonetheless, good audio, which creates a nice mood.

RPS RTS by Logan 2013-05-06T05:55:00

A nice and fairly simple RTS. It is rather easy though, since you just need to spam out units. The sounds were anoying- But I like them since they kinda fit the theme a little (Keeping it simple). I went for similar sounds with my game.

Free* by Kortuga 2013-04-29T21:20:00

This game is beautiful. This is exactly the kind of game I was hoping would come out of this dare. I can see why you chose not to add any sounds- But personally I could see some more emotion in this game with the right music and sounds.

Bunneh by spliter 2013-05-05T20:47:00

This is the cutest scary game I've ever seen :-) It is quite difficult however, and the controls makes it a bit hard to see the eagle. I really liked it though, very high potential :-)

Coin Collector by anbreizh 2013-04-29T06:03:00

Very fun game- I even managed to survive a double speed "power up" at some point. This game is very addictive and challenging. Very well done. What's the idea with writing "Sluggish" when I hit space in the web version? :)

Fallen Outside by DDDBOMBER 2013-04-29T06:43:00

This was a very good game, I enjoyed it fully. I even played the minigames between missions, sadly though the game bugged on one of the later mini games - The game I assume you go snake vs snake- I went off screen, and the AI worm, stopped moving, and nothing happened from there on. Apart from that, this game was really great! Good job.

CUBEBIA by Armix 2013-05-03T16:17:00

Decent little game. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make it into :)

Pyramid by PaulSB 2013-05-03T15:03:00

Very good game, and true to the theme. I enjoyed it, though I must admit, I didn't realize you could kill the other squares until I read it in the comments.

Escape by caasi 2013-04-29T08:27:00

That was weird. I think I get the part of moving around in a dark dungeon where you can't see. But maybe a bit more explanation would make it easier to play.

Chez Angelo by EdoMiyamoto 2013-04-30T21:01:00

You really should finish this game. In its current state it is a bit confusing, and buggy. I did get to the end, and I sense a deeper story to be told. All in all a good game. Good job!

The Only Rocketeer by Monxcleyr Productions 2013-05-06T06:14:00

Good game, but too much wait time between events (Or too little to do while waiting). Also on the timed events you really need to be able to drag the mouse, it gets annoying having to click so often :P I like the idea, and would love to see you carry this game further :-)

Minimal Ammo by T800 2013-04-30T20:43:00

Very funny game, and good idea. I'm not entirely sure those are homemade sounds though?
Apart from that- Great game!

I'm Not a Paper Person! by Linus Lindberg 2013-04-29T07:45:00

Very good game. I even managed to beat it :-) It was very fun, and I would definitely play this game if more levels were added. Very good job!

OneEighty by Mekuri 2013-05-08T10:17:00

Thanks a lot for all your feedback people! A lot of you mentioned that the sound is rather harsh on the ears, and I agree that the "win" sound is.. very bad. My reason for using simple sounds though, was to fit it to the theme, and I didn't want the theme to be an excuse to not add sound. I am very happy for the feedback, and I am glad that so many of you liked the game.

[ ] by YukonW 2013-04-29T05:54:00

Fits the theme nicely- Simple graphics, and simple gameplay. Maybe a bit to easy. I like your use of numbers. :-)

I Know Nothing by MathiO 2013-04-29T06:16:00

This is a work of art! Very well done. The ending puzzled me for a few seconds, until I realized it was so true to the theme! Good work.

One Space Away by Kiwiboi 2013-04-29T07:53:00

This game is hilarious! I really laughed at the plane and the superhero. Would have been epic with sound!

Employment by Fabien Porée 2013-04-29T22:21:00

So after a few months the left key started not working. I failed to get if it was a bug or because of a low morale, or something else? The game really plays well with the Theme, although a little more explanation would have been nice. :)

NinjaFlare by 8BitPimp 2013-04-29T07:11:00

The graphics and mood in this game are spectacular. The game is a bit too fast for my liking, and the controls are.. weird. I really think you nailed it on the mood though. Good job.

Ginnungagap by kyyninen 2013-05-03T17:18:00

Very nice game, and an impressive concept. I can easily see that concept evolve into something great :)

Ming Imah Lism the Wizard ! by Gustera 2013-05-03T16:01:00

This game is great. I don't like that you shoot the fireballs from the top of the sprite, it makes it harder to hit when shooting horizontal, compared to vertical. This makes it weird that there is a difference in your accuracy depending on the direction you shoot. But aside from that everything else about this game is great. The meditation thing is very interesting.

Minimalist Horror Story by MinionStudios 2013-05-14T04:39:00

Awesome! I got tense the minute I started playing. The game was really creepy, especially while wondering if anything at all would happen. I managed to find the key, but found nowhere to use it before I perished. Really really nice mood in this game, and nice use of simple textures!

Steve Can't Zen by DaanVanYperen 2013-05-03T16:30:00

This game is just epic! A very nice use of the theme, and awesome way to tell the story. I enjoyed myself through the entire game (Though the amount of animals / time spent was a tad too much) All in all a very very good game!!

Title: Subtitle by Liz England 2013-04-30T20:33:00

Awesome game- Awesome concept. I really like how your imagination takes over, based on simple words on the screen. It gets slightly confusing at times, but all in all very cool. With a bit of refinement, and maybe a story line, this would be something I wouldn't mind paying for!

Hit The Button by IHateATMFees 2013-04-30T05:39:00

The graphics are fine, and I suppose it fits the theme.. but it's hard to keep being entertained this way.

Way Home by unclejunkie 2013-04-29T08:21:00

I was entertained all the way through this game. It's a very good game for one who has no programming skills. Very good job!

Fight by dreemernj 2013-04-30T05:24:00

The idea is very good, and you've done a lot with almost nothing. It's a real shame you didn't have more time, this game could have been so much more.

CubeMaster by JimmyLord 2013-04-29T07:28:00

This is a very simple game, which suits the theme. At first I felt like it was a bit boring, but then the colors start comming, and when you get close to 100 the speed really kicks in. I had fun playing it, although sound would have been very nice.

Casino by AyCe 2013-04-29T21:58:00

This game is a great idea, it does get a bit tedious due to the lack of options, and the wait time on the slots. All in all a decent game :)

Sanity by JonRB 2013-04-29T06:56:00

Nice game. It was very confusing at first, until I got the hang of it. I (only) managed to get to level 5, which I tried to beat a few times. I like what you did with the music. Well done!

Battery by onzephyr 2013-04-29T07:01:00

Clever game. Kinda make me want to play on my old gameboy now :-)
Good job.

The epicly short adventure by JaJ 2013-04-29T08:52:00

This game is awesome! I finished both endings, which was awesome. Everything about this game is great! Good job!

Cube Defender by kratorspore 2013-04-29T22:06:00

Great concept- I've never seen it before. I like the idea, very simple, and still you need to think before you act. Great game!

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Test Subject 13B by maxking1234 2013-08-27T09:38:00

Nice game, I really liked the idea.
The buy menu confused me a bit, since I got no response from the menu when I bought stuff, so initially I thought it didn't work, until I noticed that my gold (which is hidden behind the buy menu) was decreased, and my guy was holding a shield.
I liked the graphics, and the sound. Also, as the others pointed out, it would be cool, with somekind of AI.
The difficulty was a bit random, based on whether or not you spawned on top of zombies.
If you decided to continue developing on this game, I might very well become a player of your game :-)

Swarm by spacechase0 2013-09-12T20:12:00

I really liked the that you had to allocate your stats before playing. It would've been nice, as already mentioned, with something in the background to indicate that you are actually moving.

Descent Alpha by myachin 2013-08-27T11:02:00

Damn, this game is frustrating. There's no discernible strategy past the 2-3 first levels, it just turns into run, shoot and hope for the best... well at least it did for me :P Eventually I beat the game though. The space part was nice. It was difficult enough to keep you focused, without being too frustrating.

I really loved the graphics, it sold me right away.
All in all I liked the game, but the last few levels were way too difficult in my opinion.

Weapon Cooldown by Oana 2013-09-12T19:53:00

Nice game. I liked the graphics style. Sounds could definitely improve the game.

Time Tunnels by Thinkofdeath 2013-08-26T11:11:00

I really like the way you used the theme here. And the rounds where there are multiple balls, really makes it interesting. I would've loved to be able to use the keyboard to plan the route though, or maybe be able to "drag" the route, since it gets quite tedious having to click all the time.
A few times I accidentally used undo too many times, which resulted in the ball(s) being removed, and I was unable to continue.
The concept is awesome. A bit of polish, and some more levels, and you have a nice puzzle game going here!

10 seconds of Hell by Spotline 2013-08-26T11:52:00

This game was... different. The graphics were really great. I managed to survive until Wave 5 - I have no idea if that is good or not. The game was confusing at first, but after some time, I got used to the weirdness.

Apotheosis by bytegrove 2013-09-09T18:25:00

A very nice game. I loved the mechanics, and the graphics are beautiful.

Little Peeps by SmudgedCat 2013-08-26T13:19:00

Very nice concept! It took a minute or so to figure out that the dots were my people. The mood of this game could really benefit from some sound effects, but I really liked this game. Good job!

You Missed A Spot by john_conder9 2013-09-13T07:35:00

Nice idea. Took me a little while to realize I had to push the red button.

I Second that Motion by BomberGames 2013-09-13T07:08:00

I liked the game, and really liked how they got happy or angry.. mostly angry :P
I failed to see the theme though - But great game!

SMS Racing by hlink 2013-09-12T21:12:00

haha, very funny idea!! Personally I would've liked if the cell phone were in view of the road when typing, so you ad least had a chance to drive :P
Really great idea!!!

Orbital Brothers by ezolotko 2013-08-28T20:45:00

I like the idea, and I really like the graphics, especially for the reocketoids. The spinning was nauseating though, so I wasn't able to play for too long before I had to stop. The theme is a bit vague though, but apart from getting nauseated, I liked your game.

10 Sec And Slash by NostraDamon 2013-08-28T21:01:00

Very beautiful game. I really loved the graphics. Overall a very good game!!

Hijack Humans Hastily by zeh 2013-08-29T16:20:00

Fun game :-) - Occasionally one of the humans would get stuck in the buildings, but apart from that the game felt polished. I liked the graphics, and nice use of the theme. (Didn't actually try to spend all my fuel at once, but I take your word that there's 10 seconds worth of fuel).

10 Second Defense by tomsik68 2013-08-26T09:59:00

Nice game. It After a few rounds it gets a bit tedious, but I like the idea. Especially that you get to buy stuff after each wave. I am one of those people that get motivated with an economic or xp based reward system. All in all, a nice game :-)

SliP by Sakuyan 2013-08-27T12:20:00

Very awesome game, and very well polished. There were a few places where I had to wait for the slimes to eventually get out of the narrow passages before I could possess them, but apart from that, this game is very beautiful game.

SoulReaver by CarmineGames 2013-09-15T04:57:00

The graphics reminded me a bit of the good ol' C64 game Gauntlet. The game was a bit hard though.

Boxer's Seconds by madk 2013-08-26T06:16:00

Nice game, and a hard one. I like the way you interpreted the theme. Good work.

Clocked In by rylgh 2013-08-27T11:24:00

Very nice game. Beat it on first try, lost 3 lives.
I really loved the controls, they were just perfect, felt so natural. I really liked the sound effects, the music, not so much.
A very good, and well polished game! Good job.

SF-1 by frogmaster 2013-09-12T20:03:00

I like the idea, but the bullets are frustrating, at least the fast ones. I really liked how you used the theme, and personally I like games that challenges the mind, in this case - to multitask.

Bat Massacre by ItsSacraficed 2013-08-26T10:14:00

Hey there. Nice entry. I stopped after a few minutes, since my click finger got irritated. It's not anything I haven't seen before, but still a job well done.

Eiradirian Timejumpers by blay09 2013-08-27T06:27:00

This game is very nice! I really like the idea. I found the game to be very hard, but it did have some interesting puzzles. I liked the audio and the graphics very much.

Get well soon by GSM Productions 2013-08-28T14:31:00

Very very nice game. I liked just about everything about it.
I did find it rather easy to avoid the monster, I only got caught on my first try, and that was only because I ran straight into him (Too curious I guess). I did wander around for 20 minutes or so and found no were away from the first floor, so eventually gave up, but I'm sure that one is on me , I tend to be pretty poor at finding things.
All in all this is definitely one of the best entries I've tried so far. I'll keep this game around, and give it another go later.

Once upon a flight by infinitedog 2013-08-27T22:04:00

I really loved the menu- It would have been nice with some music to complete the mood.
The artwork is pretty good, but the sound is a bit anoying.

10 Second Dash by SneManden 2013-08-26T20:55:00

This game is hard! Reminds me of the good old C64 days, playing Olympic games with a joystick.

The Chaos Sisters by dark_hunter 2013-08-27T10:22:00

Seriously, this game was awesome! I played it for.. well way too long, but eventually I beat it.
I really liked the idea of this "board game" or "slot machine" movement. The loot was great, especially the skills you could find. After I found a darkness skill with 170% damage I just steamrolled the mobs :P
It's a shame you didn't go with the theme though. Something as simple as giving the player 10 seconds max do decide what to do during combat, would at least have been a decent attempt. I think it's a bit sad you didn't go for the theme, even more so, since I personally think this is the best game I've played yet for this dare. But enough about the theme-

You did a heck of a job on this game in my opinion. I would love to see you expand on this idea :-) Great work!!!

Ludum Defense by Kwrky 2013-08-28T12:45:00

Nice game. I really liked how you used the 10 seconds. Click the towers to repair them was smart- The downside was (at least for me) it was a bit too easy, and the waves were a bit too long towards the end, so I rarely had to repair my towers much. A greater variety of towers, and maybe the ability to decide which ones to build instead.
But all in all I good game, personally I love TD games :P - And I really think your idea with the Theme was great!

Usain Bolt Simulator 2013 by danielcmessias 2013-08-27T10:41:00

Finally beat the game! A fun idea. Was the toothbrush level supposed to be as easy? I simply held the brush over his mouth, and the game did the rest :P
Anyways, I had fun playing, good job.

Saloon Shoot Out by alycarter 2013-08-26T13:04:00

Very nice game, I enjoyed it. I especially liked the graphics.

OHNOES by zedutchgandalf 2013-08-26T12:19:00

Funny idea. I did find the controls to be a bit frustrating at times, but at least I managed to kill myself on multiple occasions :P
Some sound would make the experience even better!

Ten Magic Seconds by jcmoyer 2013-09-13T07:28:00

Nice little game, but I found it hard to get very far.

Dust in the Candy Megaverse by Xgor 2013-08-26T13:36:00

Nice game. The controls feels a bit sensitive, but apart from that it was fun playing.

I don't know if the game crashed or if it was intended, but after beating a level with 11 dusts, I got all the dusts, but the time ran out at the same time, which caused the game to just do nothing.

Zombocalypse by paulfysh 2013-09-12T20:33:00

This was.. special.. If you ever decided to finish this game, I really think the idea is great. Resource gathering, building stuff, all while killing zombies. It would be great. Too bad you got over ambitious ;-)

Get Out! by LordHellMaX 2013-08-27T06:13:00

Very nice game. I really like the horror genre, and taking the time constraints into account, you really made a terrific game! Good job!

Space Blitz by Mekuri 2013-08-26T15:43:00

Hi all, thanks for your input. I'm happy that you like the game.
There's definitely room for improvement, but I ran out of time, so I had to compromise with some of the things.

If people in general like this idea I think I wouldn't mind expanding upon it. Local multiplayer would be fairly easy to implement, the only issue would be that the player going last will have the advantage of knowing how the opponent placed his/her ships. Also I would add the things that got cut, like more ship types, equipment etc.
Anyways, I could keep on ranting all day :P - I just wanted to thank you all for the feedback so far.

Space Blitz by Mekuri 2013-09-08T23:17:00

Hey all. I am very happy with all the feedback I've gotten, and your suggestions have been taken seriously.
I already have a new version of the game were some of the suggestions have been implemented. I will wait with uploading that version until the end of the dare, so it won't be mistaken for my real entry. The changes include: More ship types, the ability to select multiple ships, more realistic movement (turn rate on ships), zoom function, and more.

Burrito Blaze by Skye 2013-09-15T04:52:00

aww, it just closes the game after the count down at start :(

10 Second Berserker by CoderDozer 2013-08-26T11:15:00

haha, this game is slightly frustrating. It gets a bit easier when you get the hang of it, but even so, I lost like 80% of the time :P I really like the exaggerated camera effects when the other truck hits you.

The Aliens Came (10 seconds to choose) by porglezomp 2013-09-15T05:37:00

Great game! I played it a few times, and got two different "true" endings.. and died in three different ways. Good stuff!
The graphics are very nice, and the story is decent.
Good job.

A Game of Thrones by Tiago 2013-08-28T12:53:00

haha - This was funny. Controls were a bit annoying around doors, but maybe that was intentional?
Anyways - Very good game, and very funny!

Test Chamber by guardiancs 2013-08-26T10:40:00

Nice game. I managed to get myself stuck between some tiles once or twice. The default controls, made no sense to me, but I kinda forgot, until after I beat the game that you could change them :P I liked the idea, and your levels were interesting. With a little more polishing and more levels, this could easily become a game I would play again :-)

Frantic by Joritan Cety 2013-08-27T13:26:00

Nice idea. The graphics are simple, but the color palette makes it very beautiful. I loved the sword swing animation, it was just perfect, and the sound for it was awesome.
It was a bit confusing to hit with the sword though, it didn't quite fit the animation it seems.
All in all, a good game. Good job!

Duel by zlowrance 2013-09-12T07:09:00

A fun little game. Maybe a bit too much wait time, but I had the same problem with my game :P I really liked the mood and the graphics. The music was fun. The tumbleweed in the background was a nice touch.

Good game!

10 Seconds of Grey by Almax27 2013-09-14T17:34:00

Very beautiful game! I think I got the objective of the game (Maintain the balance between saying "nice" and "bad" things. The gameplay is a bit weird, but the graphics are amazing! Very good job.

Streaker 2013 by ashdnazg 2013-08-26T05:12:00

The first thing I did when I woke up this morning, was to seek out this game. I tested it a few times last night, and couldn't wait to see the end result. - This game is so fun, and yet so simple - It's really amazing - High grades from me :-)

Whodunit by Nezzhil 2013-08-29T08:18:00

This idea is awesome, and the game is beautiful. I would definitely play this game if you developed it further (and maybe increased the 10 second timer drastically :P
Very nice interpretation of the theme!

Leveling on borrowed time by Xatulu 2013-08-27T12:35:00

A fun game. It would have been nice to be able to hold down the fire button though, especially for a game where you fire thousands of shots :P Overall the game was okay, but I failed to see the connection to the theme. Well you had 10 seconds initially, but at the rate you earn more time, the effect on the game is non-existing.

When He Left by winesays 2013-08-29T16:48:00

A beautiful game with nice audio and mood, but gameplay wise it's.. weird. I did manage to figure it out and rescued a few people, but the controls could be aligned better to the camera.

Bring The Things by Lizzip 2013-08-26T10:53:00

A very simple, yet challenging puzzle game, as you progress through the game.
There's one thing though: Since this was submitted for the combo, I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to use third party stuff. The music (As you also write yourself) was not made by you.
Apart from that - A nice game.

Basketeerz by Jhelle 2013-08-26T12:40:00

Very nice game. I scored 10 points on my first try, but after that it went downhill lol. I really enjoyed it. A high score would have been awesome.

Very good game!

Dr. F. R. Eak's Abduction by Jon Fischer 2013-08-26T09:49:00

Nice game. I like the graphics. It was fairly fun to play once or twice, but it gets a bit tedious after that. I did manage to beat the game on my third try, once I got the hang of it.
I think you got away too easy with the theme though.

Story O' Dare by Static 64 2013-08-26T21:03:00

I'm not sure this game works properly, or I am doing something wrong? Whenever I try to do something it tells me I missed the deadline, whether I let the time run out, or I click anywhere on the keyboard...

Poorly Planned Pillaging Party by ecbambrick 2013-08-26T09:32:00

Nice game. It reminds me of the good old classics like Lost Vikings, or Fury of the Furries, except this one is different :-)

10 Second Election by Pixelgel 2013-08-29T16:55:00

This game was too fast for me. I really like the idea though, but I didn't manage to get very far. With a few tweaks, and maybe more time or removal of the time limit.

Forever Alone by ShellfishGames 2013-08-27T13:42:00

Nice game. I really liked the idea!

10 Second Hero by Diogo Muller 2013-08-26T11:34:00

Nice game. I like how different this is. And somehow you've managed to add a great feel to the game. I like that it randomly chooses a scenario. I had a lot of fun, and I really loved it.

Hungry Dragon by skyr 2013-09-14T17:17:00

This game was surprising good. Very simple mechanics, but it was very fun. I really liked when I found out that you could stand on the dragon, very nice touch. I managed to play until no food spawned anymore, and liked every second of it. Good job.

Fireworks by Schulles 2013-08-26T20:51:00

Fun game, and slightly addictive. One issue I had though, was when starting a round standing close to fireworks, you will start out with trying to place it, since you had to hit x to start the level. Apart from that, a very good game!

Grav Nav by lparker 2013-08-28T12:59:00

Very innovative. A bit hard to master, but that's not a bad thing in my opinion. Good job!

The Necromancer by sam1373 2013-08-26T12:11:00

Damn, this game is fun! I really enjoyed it - I will definitely be playing it again. I like how you decide how powerful your skeletons/zombies are, based on how long you do the ritual.
This is definitely one of the better games.

exposure by zillix 2013-09-14T15:23:00

This game is awesome. There's really a nice mood in this game. It would have been nice with a bit more instruction though, but apart from that, this game is very beautiful and the mood is brilliant!

Fast delivery by stenol 2013-08-28T20:49:00

haha, this game really reminds me of my childhood playing those top down car games on my C64. A simple yet fun game. Thanks for the nostalgia trip :-)

Royal Defenestrator by BasmanovDaniil 2013-09-14T17:51:00

I literally laughed out loud when I finished this game. I loved it!! It was so fun to play (even had to play it a few times) - I'm glad I threw out all the guards on the way, so that it was no problem to throw her out at the end. High ratings from me!! :-)

Blackout by X-0r 2013-09-08T23:27:00

I really liked the twist the story took. I think you got a bit easy around the Theme, but the idea was solid. Fun little game :-)

10 Seconds Before the World Ends by Lustdante 2013-08-26T14:08:00

This mechanic was awesome. You really should consider making a full game out of this, it's very unique, and in a good way!

THE LIBERATOR by Waschtl 2013-09-13T07:22:00

I really liked the idea. It was a bit hard to pick up the Americans sometimes, maybe some collision between mouse and
American issue? I had a lot of fun playing, but eventually the game got too hard for me. I loved that you could use the numbers on the keyboards to switch tools that helped me through a few more levels.

Game of Throttles by Moosefly 2013-08-27T11:54:00

Very funny intro. I really liked how the music accompanied the various styles of the different locations. The idea of having to come in 2nd was quite nice as well. The game itself was not very fun though. If you had to stand a chance of keeping up with the other cars, you need to go full speed (most of the time anyways), which gives you next to no chance to dodge the oil and jelly patches on the ground. I liked the detail of the backgrounds, especially the desert, some nice... intergalactic details ;-)
All in all I liked the style, but the gameplay not so much.

Entropy by Supercannon 2013-09-15T05:05:00

A very good idea, that I could definitely see grow into something bigger. The difficulty scaled nicely over time.

Walking Thingie by deniska 2013-08-26T10:08:00

A very innovative game!! I managed to get to lvl 8, before giving up. I really liked the idea, and felt entertained all the way through. Even laughed a bit at my own stupidity at times, especially in the later levels. I'll probably play this some more later :-)

Keyboard Slap by Velro 2013-08-28T20:53:00

Damn, this game gets difficult fast! At least for someone with very little instrument experience. I really like the idea though.

Detective Shadow by Mandraw 2013-08-27T12:03:00

For a first game this is not bad. It was awfully short though, at least I think. I managed to get 2 endings, after jumping into the hole.

Time Perception by Reyn 2013-08-28T13:30:00

yay, mr Chronos on all 6 scenes on directors cut. Hilarious btw :P
Very innovative, I really liked the way the theme was used :P

Crazy Genetist by ratalaika 2013-09-12T20:22:00

Highest score I made was 96, made it to level three. I really liked this game. Really great idea!

Exploratite Mitae by Lubial 2013-09-12T06:57:00

A very beautiful game, and an exceptional mood. I loved every part of it. I'm really impressed.

10 Seconds Match by Tavibo 2013-08-29T08:51:00

I like the idea. The menu is solid. The visuals ingame was a bit repetitive, and I seriously couldn't see the traps (I'm colorblind maybe that's why?)
With a bit more variation in terrain, and making traps a bit more visible, this game would be pretty neat!

The Lost Robos by almightyzentaco 2013-08-27T14:07:00

This is a very nice puzzle game! Nice puzzles, and nice to see a game with lots of well designed levels! I really like how you utilized the theme.

Lost in the Dark by KristinnEs 2013-09-15T05:12:00

A very nice idea. I really liked how the ten seconds were more of a positive thing (at least to some extend). Very nice game. I missed some sound and music though.

Ghost Pirate's Ship of Treasures by immanuela 2013-08-29T16:27:00

I was surprised to see people saying it was hard, I take it a few changes have been made? I beat I think 8 levels, and then it was done, and it was extremely easy. I liked the creaking sound when you hit the boards.

LEGACY by DanHayesGamer 2013-08-27T22:21:00

This is a very beautiful game. It gets a bit tedious towards the end, I started wondering if there would even be one.
The controls are a bit slow.
The mood in this game is awesome, and the music is just right for this setting.

Good job.

The Duellists by jay griffin 2013-08-27T11:14:00

Great game! I really enjoyed the fact that it was possible to shoot before the bell rang, nice touch. I had a lot of fun playing.

Cosmic Commander by UnorthodoxGames 2013-09-14T17:08:00

As you commented on my game, we went for the same concept, so I can only say "I really like the idea!". Good job.

Get Ready, Fight! by benkane 2013-08-26T20:33:00

I tried your game, but I can only get to the menu. For some reason it won't accept any input from either mouse or keyboard. The menu is running though - Those square people are running across the screen.

Get Ready, Fight! by benkane 2013-08-26T20:35:00

bah.. can't edit my comment. Just realized.. Controllers only - Sorry :-)

Very Fast Postman by Nitrodeus 2013-08-26T11:00:00

I really liked the graphics in this game - Very nice work.
I would've like to be able to see just a little bit more ahead. I just keep jumping and hope for the best more or less.

It's a shame you didn't get around to adding sound, but I suppose most of us have to cut down on things, in order to finish.

Defuse in 10 seconds by archaeometrician 2013-08-27T12:48:00

Yay! I actually thought this was one of those infinite games - Go as far as you can. I was happy to see that it could be won!!
Fun game, and the music and sound effects really add to the stress level. Good job!

Twitchy Thrones by rpmoura 2013-09-13T06:49:00

Great game! I really liked it. Simple, yet strategic enough to be challenging.
One thing though- It would have been nice if the battles gets gradually faster if one of the armies have the advantage. Right now I'm waiting on the last Marvel country to count down from roughy 280, which means close to just 5 minutes of waiting. (I have around 700 units there myself).
Apart from that - This was an awesome game! Good job.

Still Charging! by xfxian 2013-08-26T11:43:00

Nice game. I like the idea of having the option to use weapons, even though they aren't really necessary. I really like how the shields worked.
It did crash once, when I was jumping in the middle of the jump animation.
Sound would have been nice though. Great first entry!

Thanksgiving Hero by Amber 2013-08-27T09:24:00

Sweet little game. It took me a while to figure out how it fit the theme, but I got it! Nice thinking :P

The game itself isn't really that innovative, but for a first game ever, I think you should be proud. I was compelled enough to try until I got through all the food.
I really liked your graphics, and the music was good.

Antidote by Antidote 2013-09-12T10:29:00

Took me a few minutes to realize that bullets cost money O_o
Very nice game, and extremely well polished. Everything in this game is just right, graphics, sounds.. well everything. great job!

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-26T13:57:00

Very nice game!! I especially liked the upgrade shop.

Coin Collecter by nitrocrime 2013-08-28T13:25:00

Lol this game is addictive. Played through it twice- First time I finished at lvl 36, the second time at lvl 34 :-)
I really enjoyed it, the "upgrade" system was awesome! The pickup speed stat was very innovative, I liked that a lot!
The art work wasn't as bad as you think, but the game could definitely benefit from some sound.

tricycles of death by omaha 2013-08-27T12:07:00

lol, had fun controlling all four, but not much else to do. I could see this as a funny little thing with local multiplayer support.

Project: "Explosion" by Simple Ghost 2013-08-29T08:43:00

Very nice game. The controls does bother me quite a bit, and I tend to get stuck in the wooden planks on level 2 when climbing the "tower" thingie. The zipline fell down all the time as well.
But apart from that (only 48 hours and all) I really liked the idea. With a bit of polish and such, this could be an awesome game! Really good job.

Time Hack by quill18 2013-08-26T05:16:00

Nice to see you were able to submit a game, given your rl circumstances. It felt like a modern version of Frogger :-)

Self Destruct by Octopuns 2013-08-26T10:29:00

This is an awesome game. I beat all the levels. If you decided to expand this game, I will play it for sure. I was entertained all the way through- And I loved that you could move the camera ahead, so that you can plan your strategy. Very nice work!!

Rules X by hungyg 2013-08-26T10:46:00

Fun little game, that easily gets competitive. I like that the maps are randomly created, adds a little more strategy to the game, rather than finding one sure fire way to win every time :) - The way the theme was used doesn't work well for me though. I get the 10 seconds because of the theme, but it stops the fun too soon. I did like the overtime part though, so I guess an intense battle can last a while :P
All in all, a fun game.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Little Hero by Freel4tte 2013-12-30T18:06:00

I actually liked this game. The random game type idea was brilliant, and I just loved the sword animations, very cute and cool at the same time. The sound effects were very fitting, maybe except for the white laser thing that.. was very high :P - The game was very difficult, but I found it to be okay in this type of game. All in all I really liked the idea, and you managed to make simple graphics stand out. Good job.

Infinite Fame by bitslap 2013-12-21T22:51:00

Loved the graphics. Loved (and hated) the difficulty :P
Very nice use of the theme! Good job.

Glitcher //nuts = 1 by 01rafael 2013-12-22T19:55:00

Took me 30 seconds or so to realize the controls. Nice with something different. If there were a point or a joke to this game, I didn't get it though. I liked the gun :P

Only One Gift by Conflei 2013-12-21T22:58:00

37 gifts :P Loved the ending!! A simple game, but I had a lot of fun!

Burning Fridges by foumart 2013-12-17T16:34:00

I really like how solid this game feels. I like the idea a lot, but it's sad, as you mentioned yourself, that there's no audio, that would really have added to the experience. I think you used the Theme very well- It's a fairly easy theme to use imo.

Very good game, felt proffesional. - Now go add sound in a non-competition version :P

Channel by BradleySmith 2013-12-17T22:44:00

"Please Stop" - I laughed lol. Did 1101, and got new items all the way up to 1000. My arms are sore now lol. This game is extremely funny, and has a very nice mood! Mobile version would rule! Great job!!

The last Stand by grifdail 2013-12-20T21:36:00

Interesting idea - I liked it. I actually liked the controls!
Good job.

Atop A Dark Mountain by Maple 2013-12-18T07:50:00

A fun little game reminding be of some of the mini games in Mario Party :P - I really love the graphics style, it's very beautiful. I failed to get past the level where the purple thingies starts floating around at the edge. My "Dex monkey keyboard skills" failed - Or I missed some other nice way of dealing with them :P - I really liked this game. Very nice work!

Console Wars 3D by wezrule 2013-12-17T22:08:00

This was different. I beat the game. I liked how you had to destroy the plane. The second level didn't make much sense to me, but I beat it somehow :P It definitely needs some polishing, but this could become something interesting.

One Torch by ahnt 2013-12-17T02:01:00

Very beautiful game, and nice concept. A little too slow for me personally, but objectively, this is a very nice game. Good job!

One Kingdom by RadioLemon 2013-12-17T02:06:00

The idea of this game seems good, but I have a very hard time playing it. The menu keeps getting stuck. I managed to deploy a few armies (or maybe there were there from the beginning). I'll check back when you've create the manual thing you mentioned, and give it another go :-)

GeoEatRical by mamoniem 2013-12-21T15:59:00

I like how beautiful the graphics was, even though it was mostly primitive shapes. Very nice! The gameplay got a bit repetitive towards the later levels.

You Only Get One Gift (for christmas) by Bw2801 2013-12-17T17:30:00

Nice game. I liked the style of the graphics. Good job.

Spacedentist saves the day by StMatn 2013-12-17T21:39:00

Overall a decent game. I loved that you could destroy the terrain, and it felt very good. The enemies were a bit repetitive, but they got the job done. The game froze on me the first time I came to the boss. Sounds still worked, but graphics froze. I liked the gun.

Funigtor versus PackSciences : The Pic Pac D'Oh by PackSciences 2013-12-17T16:50:00

The good thing is you made a game! So for then next Ludum Dare you should try making something without a tutorial. Even if you fail, it's a valuable learning experience, and it just feels right.
On the upsides, I like how your difficult setting isn't impossible to beat. I made a tic tac toe game a few years ago, and contrary to what many believe, it's way too easy to make it unbeatable, so nice balancing :-)

The Creep (You only get one Night) by Mekuri 2013-12-17T02:26:00

I've just tested myself again, and I do not have this issue myself. I would like to hear from others if they have that issue. It can be slightly confusing at the beginning, since you are looking upwards on the web version for some reason, but other than that it works fine for me. - Thanks for playing! :-)

The Creep (You only get one Night) by Mekuri 2013-12-17T22:47:00

Thanks for the headsup Piat, I'll look into it when I get a chance. I already have a newer version where you can't fall off the map, and I am planning to add the ability to make the game lighter/darker. But I'll upload those sometime after judging is over, so that I'm not breaking any competition rules.
Thanks to all of you for your feedback - It means a lot to me :-)

The Creep (You only get one Night) by Mekuri 2013-12-19T22:10:00

In my offline version of the game I found the issue that caused the lag (gained almost 50fps on my system). Also I fixed the text so that it now fits on screen. I must have been really tired to miss that part on release night lol. I decided not to change the lighting, since I felt that would be against the competition rules.

Thanks for all the feedback - It's really appreciated!

Final Order by Fervir 2013-12-18T22:58:00

Fun and mysterious game. I did managed to beat the boss after some keyboard smashing :P I liked the idea and it was well executed. Good job.

Walkways of Mind by Pixelfan Games 2013-12-22T20:06:00

Liked the idea, but a bit confusing. I got that "purple ghost" ending, and I don't really exactly know why. I might give it another go later, to clear things up.

YOLO, Obviously by carlsommer 2013-12-17T02:14:00

An innovative idea. I'm not sure if I missed some of your points or something (I am very tired at the moment) but this smelled a look like Christianity to me, at least at the end. I like the title :P

MASTERBAIT by Hyoga-3D 2013-12-17T17:10:00

Nice game. I liked the graphics as well as the audio.
The game is very well polished. Good job.

Bursts by sam1373 2013-12-17T22:33:00

Simple and fast. I liked the smooth movement. Quite challenging. Had trouble hitting the enemies, but might just be my aim that is bad.

ArenaFighterz Game by Rothens 2013-12-17T16:41:00

I liked the idea with the water- A nice alternative to a timed level. The game played well enough on my system, but a little simple physics wouldn't hurt. The movement made it very painful to make some of the jumps.
All in all a decent game for a first try. Good job!

YOLO Simulator 2014 by EncryptedCow 2013-12-18T22:50:00

I died of natural causes at 109.
The idea is decent, I had hoped for small mini games for each action though, essentially this was just button clicking and managing the numbers. Apart from all that I liked the idea of simulating life like that, but a bit more gameplay would've been nice! :-)

Monad by Piat 2013-12-17T22:55:00

Great game. Very impressive for to do all this within 48 hours.
I like the idea quite a lot. Great job.

Hidden Prison by javifugitivo 2013-12-17T21:59:00

Good graphics, and decent animations. A few bugs here and there, and the guards didn't react to me at all. I could easily see this game become a fully developed game, there's some nice potential there.

Boomerang Boy by Mark Venturelli 2013-12-17T17:18:00

Overall a very nice game. The game is very well polished. I did find one thing, I don't know if it is intentional, but everytime I landed after a jump, there was a small noticeable delay before I could jump again, which was a bit anoying. But all in all a very good game. Good grades from here :-)

Cable by eemmbbeerr 2013-12-22T13:52:00

The idea is very innovative, but the bugs and glitches made it frustrating to play. Some polish here and there and this game would be quite fun, I'm sure :-)

Conkery by RoseNinja 2013-12-17T17:23:00

The game is very beautiful, but I found it very hard. So hard in fact I couldn't make it past the first level with spikes. I couldn't get the stick to the wall thing to work proberly. The feel to this game however, is magnificient.

1Fuel by unitycoder_com 2013-12-20T20:42:00

Damn, this game is awesome. So simple, yet so addicting and entertaining. I'm very impressed with how you managed to make such a simple game with such a high entertainment value!! Very good job!!

Earth Prime by Satyre 2013-12-17T17:03:00

So I think I beat the game "Test succesful in 69 seconds?" It caught me by surprise :P - Apart from that, I liked the idea, simple, and although not very well explained, I understood the concept fairly fast. The graphics was very nice, and I liked your intro.

Only Mortal by noobsticks 2013-12-18T08:13:00

Funny thing that being mortal is a "condition" :P - Nice little game. It would have benefited greatly from some sound though.

One Hour, One Shot, One Way Out? by Eskoala 2013-12-18T22:42:00

I beat the game without ever meeting anyone except for Sofie. Nice mood though.

Tsuba by Daveloper 2013-12-21T22:46:00

Nice game. reminds me of the good old International Karate for C64, at least the graphics :P - I liked it, and the sound effects are just right! Good job!

Present Delivery - a HunDevelopers production by FBalazs 2013-12-17T15:34:00

Nice idea- I like that you chose a Christmas theme, I was close to do that as well, but went with something completely different :P Clean and solid game!

Robogenesis by JavadocMD 2013-12-18T07:38:00

I really liked the idea. There was something off with the controls that made it a bit weird at times, but all in all a very good game. I loved the last shot, very nice detail!

Yuzaro by kutullu 2013-12-17T16:56:00

I love how you have to double jump in the tutorial to get to the sign that tells you about double jump :P I liked that it had so many elements, wall jumping, double jump, ladders. A little more polish to the controls, would really make this shine!
Good job.

Neonian - You are the 1 (Ludum Dare 28 : You Only Get One) by Neonian 2013-12-17T15:25:00

Funny thing with "number one" :P - I liked it. Simply and straight forward. Good job!

Tank Shooter by MrJavaFrank 2013-12-17T21:49:00

Nice game. As soon as you can earn money and upgrade stuff I'm sold. I really liked this, it was great fun!

one.job:survive by joekinley 2013-12-19T22:32:00

I loved the sound and the particle effects. It seems the player ship was somehow reversed. Apart from that, the game seemed well polished and solid.

You Can Only Win by yapshuter63 2013-12-17T02:21:00

Game worked fine. Very funny idea.

Hamsi Bro by broepi 2013-12-17T15:42:00

Funny little "Tamagotchi" (Spell check required) game. Not very much to do, but my daughters love it, so now I have it running on my other monitor for as long as it lives :-)

The Day the Laughter Stopped by Crabman 2013-12-22T20:22:00

Like the idea that you only get to do the story once.
Good story :-)

One Look by bluemanshoe 2013-12-19T06:36:00

Nice game. I loved the idea. I liked that the crumbs stayed between deaths, nice touch. All in all a very good game. I found it quite entertaining.

Jack of all trades by OddOneOut 2013-12-17T22:29:00

Awesome game! I loved just about everything about it. The skill point idea was amazing, and I loved how the appearance of the character changed based on the skill point(s) you allocated! Too bad the cut features didn't make it, but I loved that you threw 'em in as an added bonus at the end! The graphics was great as well. Best game I've played so far! Very good job!

Chest is the key by bessdlan 2013-12-19T22:39:00

The idea with the chests was great! The game got slightly repetitive rather fast though. The graphics were nice as well.

BOIDCAK by Magdev 2013-12-18T08:01:00

Very nice game, and very well polished. I liked more or less everything about this game. Good graphics, solid gameplay! Well done!

The Story of Your Life by MatrixBai 2013-12-18T07:25:00

Interesting idea, although it quickly just turned into clicking buttons. I liked the music, it added a nice mood. The game felt solid, except for a few typos and such.
Nice work.

Rocket Fuel by Maskl 2013-12-18T22:44:00

Nice simple game. Loved the gravitation effect. Music and sound would have added a lot to the experience.

Cardocalypse by Shigor 2013-12-20T22:04:00

This is probably the Ludum Dare game I've spent most time on ever. I loved the concept (And the sounds added to the fun lol) This is definitely the most fun game I've played in any dare! Very good job!!!

Spring Crate by torcado 2013-12-22T20:28:00

Very nice concept. I really liked the idea. It was a bit slow for me though. A bit faster movement and charge speed, would be nice :D
Good job!

No Choice by sudojess 2013-12-22T19:58:00

Not really a game, but I'm sure you know. :-) At least a little music for the mood would've added a lot to the mood you try to set.

Grizzly Bet by MisterDerek2 2013-12-21T00:42:00

The graphics are nice, and so are the sounds! A betting game is quite fun, but essentially all you to is click one button to play. A little more game play would've been fun. Maybe training your own bear, or some economic game on the side.
Anyways, a very beautiful game, but personally I think it lacks more gameplay.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

In Cold Blood: Hatching a Conspiracy of Epic Scale by Brian Corr 2014-04-30T18:43:00

I liked the concept a lot. I felt entertained all the way through. Maybe the guards were a little to easy to exploit, since you could shoot them from a corner where they couldn't hit you, probably because the shoot after the center of your character- Good game, I played all the way to the end, which means I was entertained.

ScubaBear by _Rilem 2014-04-29T22:46:00

This game is of a very high quality. Definitely on the top of my list. Graphics are great, sound and music is awesome! It's spot on!! Good job.

Le Ver by GamerTaters 2014-04-30T19:12:00

Nice mood, and nice narration. Not much gameplay, but then again, in games like these it isn't about the gameplay, but about the experience! - Nice job.

Helevenium by alvivar 2014-04-29T19:11:00

Very innovative system. I really sucked at it though, but I liked it a lot. The graphics style were simple but nice. I liked the physics, especially for when killing things / dying yourself. Good job.

Like a Bird in the Sea by Volute 2014-04-28T21:04:00

The wind sound was very moody, but a bit weird that it played while under water. The game is a bit hard. I liked that there were actually a bit of conversation with choices- Good job.

Ben Eath the Surf Ace by mr_tag 2014-04-29T20:51:00

Had trouble mastering the controls, but did pull of a few tricks. I really liked the animation of the character and the waves. The idea was great, and the game felt polished.

Agent Thursday by cageinabird 2014-04-29T20:09:00

Played the original version to give a fair rating :) The conversations is a bit slow, but aside from that the mood and graphics in this game are nice. Well done.

Die Backpfeife aus dem Nichts by primaerfunktion 2014-04-29T19:28:00

Managed 2107 as my highscore. Strangely satisfying game :P Simple and to the point with decent graphics! Not bad!

Wolfy Blast by Logan 2014-04-28T21:12:00

I loved the graphics. Sounds where decent. I liked the pace, and the amount of puzzles were just right. Good job.

Temple of Ra by Split82 2014-04-29T18:03:00

Awesome game! Amazing that you could do all this in 48 hours. It is extremely well polished, and the graphics are great! A post compo version with a good story and more levels, could make it far ;-)

Inside Look Activity Book by rylgh 2014-04-29T17:17:00

This was different- I imagine it's more entertaining and satisfying on a tablet- Nonetheless points for originality and good use of the theme!

Eat'em all by coquinounet 2014-04-29T11:11:00

Fun game. I found out you could just stick to the surface, and when there's no jelly fish around you dive down and eat a bit, it'll keep you full. I scored 24.500, but could have kept going if I wasn't disturbed by a phone call :-) The music didn't really do it for me though, but I had fun- I liked the fact that you could eat the legs of people, fun little detail :-) Good job

Cthulus are Beneath the Surface by Pent 2014-04-28T02:20:00

I love that there's multiplayer in it :-) And the idea about cute Cthulu's is awesome.

Substep by Ysty 2014-04-29T17:37:00

I liked the retro style. The controls were hard to master. I liked the digging thing as a way to advance to the next level, and the game felt polished. I loved the fact that you could buy upgrades. I would've loved more free control of the ship, but apart from that, you made a solid game.

Reggid by bombjack 2014-04-29T19:00:00

Good game- As a kid I was a fan of Boulder Dash, so a little nostalgia in here :-) The movement and death detection was a bit weird, but all in all the game felt good, and I liked the sounds :-)

Deep Dome by pansapiens 2014-04-30T18:52:00

You sure made a lot in 48 hours :-) When I missed a ring I got really confused though :P The graphics were great, and some decent sound effects!

Cuteopia by Mekuri 2014-04-29T07:23:00

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys :-)
@Shivur: I did crank up the sensitivity a lot towards the end since I felt it was too slow. I might have cranked it up too much :-)
@Afal: I'm glad you had fun :-)
@Thinkster: I'm glad you think I got a lot done, that is also the reason I had to cut things out and things got a little hasty somewhere.
@pansapiens: For the reasons above I didn't get around to fixing the effect when monsters get hit- There is actually an animation for it, that you might see on rare ocasions, but the move or attack animation kinda ruins it, and I didn't have the time to sort it out.
About the story, I did want to tell a deeper story, but again, time got the best of me, so I hastily tried to make a short story, while attempting to be a bit humorous about it :P But I really like your ideas :D

Cuteopia by Mekuri 2014-05-02T08:31:00

The theme reference was that the baddies came from beneath the surface of the water. It would've been more obvious if I had had enough time to implement the second mob, which would've come from beneath the ground.

Yumbugs by Hypnohustla 2014-04-29T18:48:00

This game is really great. I decided to download the exe, to have it for later, since I really enjoyed this game. I could easily see this as a marketable game, with some more levels. - Great level design, great mechanics, great sounds- Great everything!!!

Colony 31 by Crazi456 2014-04-29T20:31:00

Nice idea for a puzzle game. I liked the idea with the mech. The narration part was awesome, and the story added some mystery to the game!

Sea's Bounty by jayemjee 2014-04-29T22:08:00

Good job for a first try :-) - The game was pretty basic, but decent graphics! - Sounds could really add some life to the game- Especially the "death/coin" explosion when you die, would be way cooler if there were sound involved.

Surf Ace Splashdown by Dominator_101 2014-04-29T18:33:00

Nice idea. I like that you had to balance sacrificing your own health vs the surf ace's. Since your health aren't refreshed from level to level it all comes down to avoiding obstacles and only hitting the rocks and the seagulls, which, in my opinion, reduces the game to a standard "dodge the obstacles" game, since you can't really afford to hit the reefs and such. - But all in all a great idea, and a fun use of the theme!

Ant Simulator 2014 by eteeski 2014-04-29T20:39:00

This would be awesome with some gameplay added to it, the mood is already awesome- I was very close to making an ant game as well, with inspiration from the old game SimAnt- Expand upon this!! seriously! Good job!

Balancitos by NickZangus 2014-05-01T05:45:00

This looked really good! Loved the physics and the graphics! The sound was awesome as well. I wasn't really a fan of the interface, would've been nice just to "right click" and drag to rotate or something like that- All in all a very nice game!

Crushing Depth by zzorn 2014-04-29T10:55:00

I really liked the controls, took me a while to figure it out, but awesome! - I managed to hit another sub multiple times, but the torpedoes just went through it- This all happened on the surface, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Sounds would've added a lot to this game- The graphics was nice and your underwater mood was nice- But that mood would've rocked with a few underwater sound effects.
All in all, I was impressed with this game - Good job!

Beneath The Lab by Techblogogy 2014-04-29T22:17:00

Loved the concept- I fell through the floor a few times though, when right clicking (maybe in the wrong places? )
I loved the voice over, it added a lot :-) Great game. Among the best I've played so far.

They Lurk Beneath by Nega Drive 2014-04-29T13:45:00

I liked the fact that the ships resurfaced if you manage to kill the biggies that pull them down :-) - I liked the mechanics, it felt solid. The music was okay, but maybe something a bit more dark or sinister would've added a lot to the mood! - Well done!

Behind The Surface by td1801 2014-05-04T11:00:00

Decent graphics. Being a minecraft fan I kinda liked it :P - The fact that you could fly ruined it quite a bit for me. The visuals were very nice, and the "treasure hunt" idea was nice. Sounds and maybe some underwater particle effect would have been nice- For a first solo game though, you did a good job :-)

An Osterreich tale, or something about ostriches by Marcellus 2014-04-30T18:22:00

Awesome concept. I found it really hard lol, but I really liked it. I loved that you took the time to make a decent "death" effect, and made some homemade sound effects for it. Good job!

Ghost of the trapped Miners by thx4nothing 2014-04-28T20:59:00

Very beautiful for a first game- I found it quite hard, because of the limited field of view, and the dog/cat thing was more or less a sure death.

Ben Eath: The Surf Ace by Afal 2014-04-28T02:11:00

lol, awesome humor in this game! I really loved the "music" as well. I smiled through the entire game. Gotta love "Adventure game logic". Good job!

Beneath the surface of Life by ab200 2014-04-29T18:13:00

Nice game for a first entry! - I found myself jumping and climbing around, more than fighting. The controls (keybindings - webplayer) was weird to say the least. Since you can climb, I don't see why the jump power have to be so crazy :P - The graphics were nice :-)

Submersion by chase 2014-04-29T11:56:00

Played this solo. After a few tries I managed to survive for 2 minutes and 8 seconds- Would probably better playing it with a friend- I loved it- Best game I've played so far!

Underneath Your Skin by thinkster 2014-04-30T18:58:00

I loved the idea. It had the "right amount" of frustration. A very simple, yet original game. Good job! - The heart beat sound did get a tad too annoying when you were about to fail- Good job!

Beneath your feet by Druid 2014-05-04T16:09:00

Love the graphics style. Somewhat short, but nice mood!

Treasure Hunter by holgk 2014-04-29T17:28:00

Nice game, I liked the concept. I found it a bit tedious that it took so much time to mine a tile. It would be nice if you could upgrade your pick axe to increase the mining speed- But I know the 48 hours constraints adds some limits- You spent your time well with the stuff already there! Nice job.

A Lava Quest by vogon101 2014-04-28T21:18:00

Controls are a bit weird, but for a first game you did very well :-) Good job!

Escave! by Simon@LD 2014-04-29T21:17:00

I loved this game. I beat it on my 2nd try, after understanding the different "monsters" better. I'm a sucker for TD type games, but this one was very innovative! Love it all the way. You should consider developing this game further, but by adding new mobs, tower pieces and even spells! Very great game!! Some sound effects would definitely add to the game as well!

Digable Planet by Oddly Shaped Pixels 2014-04-29T13:11:00

Nice idea, and good graphics! A little hard at first, but gets easier once you get the hang of it. Well done!

What lies beneath the Temple by oobie 2014-05-02T08:28:00

This was.. different.. and short :P - I think I see what you tried to do here. with some more work (time) this could turn into an interesting game.

Under My Bed by akymos 2014-04-29T18:20:00

Simple game. Did get repetitive rather fast. Played until I had a score of around 250 or so. Nice sound effects and good graphics.

Paddle Battle Pegasus by Boltz Interactive 2014-04-29T11:01:00

Fun little game. The drag of the vortex felt right. At first I felt a like I just had to circle aroudn the monster and randomly hit coins- But then came the tentacles! The tentacles really added to the experience. A good game :-)

Deep Love Compo by Halbernacht 2014-04-28T21:38:00

I used to like this type of game back in the day- This was sort of a nostalgia trip. You should definitely finish all the story lines :-)

Beneath The Surface by adamwoolridge 2014-05-01T22:08:00

This game was awesome! You did a really good job. I like how simple the idea is, and how great a game you end up with! I had a lot of fun playing it.

Reflection by thebmxeur 2014-04-28T21:24:00

An awesome idea!! I really loved it- The learning curve is a bit steep, as it gets hard rather quickly.. Or maybe I'm just getting too old and slow :P - Very impressed about the idea! Good job!

Underline by eufrik 2014-04-29T20:18:00

I played the original version as to give a fair rating :-)
I like the concept, there's another game around this dare with a similar, concept, although it isn't as "secret" as yours :-) You should consider telling people though, I was about to call it bugged as well until I read the "edit" notes you put in- Anyways- I liked the game. The music added to the mood, and (after understanding the concept) the game felt quite polished. I didn't finish the game since it is quite hard- Not that I mind hard though :-)
You guys did a good job :-)

Word Digger by MattV 2014-04-29T18:25:00

Nice game- I liked the layered part a lot, great idea! The game felt solid and well polished. I had fun, and it's always fun when people add leaderboards ;)

Ice Mining Facility Mk3 by Roman Kornev 2014-04-29T19:53:00

Loved the game. Would have been nice with some kind of opposition. The idea is nice, and I can see it go far if it were expanded upon. I liked the graphics, and the game felt quite polished. Good job.

Ocean Explorer by MintArcade 2014-05-04T11:12:00

A big world, in such a short time. I liked the graphics, and the idea is great. The sub was well designed and I liked how buttons and levers responded to input. Good job!

Spelunker Boxing by NTR 2014-05-01T06:56:00

Funny game, although the last fight especially was more button smashing than playing :P - Not really related to the theme, but a decent game nonetheless.

Undercover by Shivur 2014-04-28T20:44:00

Hard game to figure out- But for a first, this is quite good. The visuals are pretty decent! Good job!

SkyManta by snickersnacks 2014-04-29T20:46:00

... This was.. special :P - The pew pew was funny at first, but very quickly got annoying :P The graphics were good, but the gameplay got repetitive quite fast.

Dungeon Jelly by Detocroix 2014-04-29T19:21:00

A very well polished game. I love the graphics they're awesome. With a little sound this would be a grade A game.
Very good job - Among the best games I've played this dare!

Something Fishy by StabAlarash 2014-04-29T20:57:00

Simple and straight to the point. I love the fact that you can get caught. I actually got caught after 10 seconds on my first try because I swam close to the surface :P - Managed to get a bit over 100 seconds. I liked the graphics, and the game was fun and the controls were just right. Good job.

The Gathering by oatsbarley 2014-04-29T21:50:00

This game is awesome! It's relaxing, and yet exciting each night :P - This is undoubtedly among the best games I've played this dare! Very good job!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Dreamshift by AgentParsec 2014-08-27T14:23:00

Nice idea- A bit buggy at times, it even crashed once for me- But worked fine after that. I like how the dreamworld and realworld merges when stress is high. I could've been without the yawn animation everytime I switched back and forth, but that is being a bit nit picky :P

Upside Down by kewry 2014-08-26T20:37:00

A simple fast paced game. I like the combination of killing stuff while avoiding obstacles- I wasn't really good at it though, but I had fun trying a few times.

1000 mph - The Breach by NostraDamon 2014-08-28T11:56:00

Nice and fast paced - I really enjoyed it. I liked how it was about reaching high speeds, rather than dying if you hit something.

Connected Worlds by bob_fish 2014-08-26T10:52:00

Nice game. I manage to complete it. I loved the idea of how you switched back and forth and I could easily see you make more advanced levels given more time :-)
The movement was a bit too slow for me, but I suppose it was the thing that made the demon cows more dangerous. I loved how you had to use them to remove obstacles as well.
A good game and a great idea :-)

I Must See You by Split82 2014-08-27T12:33:00

Ahh this was very nice and fun! I loved the idea, it and it the last level even left me thinking for a short while :-)
The graphics and music were nice.
It felt very polished - Definitely on my top list! Good job! Would love to see this expanded!

Epic Galactic Conquest by madk 2014-08-26T21:32:00

I loved this game. I played it a few times, and it's really addicting. I did encounter one slightly annoying thing- I ended up in a game where I couldn't do anything until after 40 seconds had passed as all the planets around me required quite a lot of resources- The seed was 0000 I think, but that really is a minor issue. I loved the idea, and I might end up playing it again sometime, as I really enjoyed it! Good work!

The Torment Isles by Matt Hartley 2014-08-26T21:50:00

I took the time to kill every single enemy, and I beat the game. I like the idea of hordes of enemies, the combat part was a bit tame though. I liked the art style of the character and enemies.

A World Between by Mekuri 2014-08-26T09:47:00

There's plenty if you go through the gate in the first system. Once you clear the first few more will appear soon.
Remember to use the switch target button while there, makes it much easier to find enemies :-)

A World Between by Mekuri 2014-08-26T14:15:00

I had initially planned more worlds, and a trade element, so that you could travel around and trade goods to the different worlds- I didn't get around to adding more types of weapons, which would've added a lot I think. Lastly I simply would've loved to make a few more ship types and maybe a few more spacestations :-)

A World Between by Mekuri 2014-08-29T02:31:00

You're not supposed to receive credits after 2 ships- You receive credits when an entire wave is destroyed- I am working on the post jam version though where I've changed it to be pr. kill based, as it makes the game slightly easier - I will share a link to the post jam version at a later time :-)

Gorilla Warfare by MegaMasterX 2014-08-26T02:01:00

This was very confusing- Maybe because I'm extremely tired, or because I'm color Blind- But it actually took me a few tries to realize that the green top of the background wasn't part of the level :P
The game feels unfinished sadly, as it seems you've had some good ideas with character selection and all. The animations and sprites where very good though, and it had a nice sense of speed.

The Artifacts of Color by Jaucheman 2014-08-26T10:32:00

Controls were confusing, and a bit annoying. I did however love the art style, and I really liked the "fading color" effect, it added a nice feel to the game :-)

The Subconscious by Snicklodocus 2014-08-30T06:54:00

I liked the idea with the "outside" and "inside" world- I never did understand the numbers in the middle below, but got mine well over a hundred- Don't know if that is good or bad :P

DON'T. BREAK. MIRRORS. by IamAcoconut 2014-08-30T07:26:00

Interesting way to tell a story, but not much gameplay, except for the "boss battle" - The story was surprisingly intriguing though :)

InfiLoop by komjaur 2014-08-27T12:20:00

I didn't get through to the end, but I did get through a lot of different colored hallways.
I like the idea, it was a bit repetitive though (But I might have been doing something wrong) - I loved the background sound it added a nice feel to the game.

Ports Ahoy! The Age of Trade by Literal Games 2014-08-26T11:21:00

Very beautiful game and very well polished. The sound was amazing, it created a good mood.
Very good job!

Planetsmacker by Moocowsgomoo 2014-08-26T20:12:00

Great game! It felt really polished, and I loved the idea- I even managed to win a few games :-)
I like how you are confused at first, and 20 seconds later, you get it! Fun use of the theme - I enjoyed it. Nice work!

Guidance by Reverend Speed 2014-08-26T22:10:00

I'm sorry that you didn't get to make more than this. The idea is great, but sadly way too short. I played it twice, just to give it the attention it deserves :-)

Computer, Open That Door! by pLaw 2014-08-27T13:02:00

Took me to tries to get the hang of it- So apparently there's now a rogue spaceship on the loose!
I loved the game, it was perfect! It felt very polished - Good job!

Icarus Crisis by rojo 2014-08-27T09:23:00

I loved this game- I even managed to get a "Victory" :-)
I had a problem understanding the formless ones. It seemed they didn't really attack, and when I attack (and defeat them) they didn't dissapear, so I eventually ignored them and just went out getting dice pools and completing objectives.
I loved this game, and was entertained all way through- There's definitely potential in this game. Good work!

Nonomnia by robodylan 2014-08-26T02:35:00

I liked the graphic of the character, but no real complexity in the game though- But congrats on your new engine :-)

Expedition by holgk 2014-08-27T14:06:00

A little slow paced, but apart from that a great game, I really liked the idea.

The Great Space Salad by KuGrou 2014-08-26T21:55:00

I love this literal interpretation of the theme, and it looks good at the same time. I found it very hard though, but that's not necessarily a bad thing :) - Good job.

Around the Worlds in 80 seconds. by Vinyl Pixels 2014-08-30T07:16:00

Great idea! I found it a lot easier to "see ahead" when in the red world.
I managed to score 45588 with a distance of 338 and a chain of 331 - No idea if that is good, but I had fun doing it :-)
Nice work!

Floating Island Defence by lxd1 2014-08-30T06:45:00

Are you planning on fixing this?

Berta by Spang 2014-08-26T20:23:00

I made it to the end - And @JetL33t there is a win condition :-)
I loved the idea, I mean really loved it. It was just sad that the slippery oontrols were more of an annoyance than a challenge. I loved that this was in 3D and I think the idea of seeing the "other world" in the background all the time is awesome, and it makes it fun to think ahead, and gives you the feeling of being smart or something :-) I loved everything about the gameplay- The graphics were decent- But those controls really bothered me- But controls aside this was a really interesting and good game. Well done!

Two Worlds One Life by Phaix 2014-08-26T14:11:00

I love the art style, very beautiful animations, awesome! - The game was very easy, especially when you realize you can move to one of the edges and just stand there back to wall in both worlds.
I really like the idea and given more time I'm sure it could be made very challenging and more entertaining.

Escape the World by bogdanmaier49 2014-08-26T22:03:00

Great game, rather hard- I love the idea. I'm a little on the fence about the controls- I keep wanting to be able to pan the camera, but I didn't find any way to do so- At the same time I could see how that could easily become confusing.
Anyways, decent graphics, and a very good and unique idea. Good job.

Space Adventures and Stuff by simileinchen 2014-08-30T07:05:00

I managed to beat all the levels- It quickly became very difficult, and the collisions were very unforgiving- Apart from that It was a good game with some very fun puzzles.
I liked the graphics style, and the music was nice as well :-)
Good job!

Severed Worlds by Rob Glen 2014-08-26T21:43:00

I liked that you could interact with anything and anyone. Too slow paced for my liking- I can see the idea of an exploration game, but it was a tad repetitive, and I just walked around in search patterns to find the weird things. It would've been nice with a few different landmarks to get your bearings.
An interesting idea nonetheless, and the music added a nice "mystery" feel to it.

Connect the Bridges by GameDevExtreme 2014-08-30T07:41:00

The amount of money earned/spent was hard to figure out. Apart from that I liked the idea :-)

BLACK HOLE by Very Fat Squirrel 2014-08-26T11:02:00

Nerdy words being thrown at you- What's not to like?
It felt very polished and was very responsive. It was maybe a bit too easy for us "fast typers" (Aren't all game devs :P ).

I also enjoyed the music. Good job.

Frogging - XNA by gladers 2014-08-26T10:14:00

lol this was awesome, I loved it. I managed to complete all the levels (It started over so assumed I was done)
A brilliant idea!!
The controls and collisions were a bit unforgiving, but I really liked it, and wonderful use of the theme! Great job!

Color Runner by vinhuman 2014-08-27T13:57:00

Fun game, controls were a little hard, would've loved like a few more milliseconds or such to time the wall jumps. I Liked the idea about combining colors.

TwitForce by GLStephen 2014-08-26T01:52:00

I liked the idea with Twitter, but I must admit I didn't realize it until after I read the comments. An impressive idea.
The game itself wasn't anything new, but I did play until around level 60 or so :-)

Escape Earth by The Lag Pack 2014-08-26T10:06:00

Nice first creation :-) Very short, and more of a interactive short story, but you still managed to get some mood in there. :-)

2Worlds1Dream by lau16menor 2014-08-26T20:07:00

I really liked this alternative take on combat :-)
It was fairly hard to play solo, but I think I did okay after getting the hang of it.
The graphics are nice and the sound is adequate- Good job!
If you develop this further with a story and such, as you mentioned, I would love to play it again :-)

Robbin' Hoods by BroCade 2014-08-26T22:18:00

I liked how the rich buildings became poor after robbing them. It was more like Making the rich poor, and vice versa :P

Simple gameplay and maybe a bit too easy. I had to "suicide" on the cops to see what happened :P
I loved the audio and graphics!

Trappy Tomb by jimmypaulin 2014-08-29T21:14:00

lol that was awesome being able to leave a mark for eternity :P Cool use of the theme!!

System F by Gareth Jenkins 2014-08-29T03:01:00

Simple, yet very innovative. I could imagine this would be a decent sell on the Smartphone market? :-)
Good job!

DINO BOLT by GeorgeBroussard 2014-08-26T22:46:00

Nice game- Very polished and played very smoothly. I liked the graphics as werll.
The idea of loosing a dinosaur if you hit something, and that it affects the score is awesome. It was slightly addictive, and I might play it again :P

Good job!

A Glove Between Worlds by coldman 2014-08-26T11:14:00

I was confused at first as I thought you killed the monsters when hitting them- It wasn't until the last level with the boxes that I realized how awesome that mechanic was. Really great idea.
The game was a bit too slow for my liking, but I was really amazed by the idea, and the graphics were good.
Good job.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Zombies 'N Spies by Wezley 2014-12-09T13:25:00

Nice game! I got a bit confused about disabling the generators at first, since it kept prompting me to press e to disable it after I did it- But apart from that- A very well done game, I enjoyed playing it!

PhotoBound by PIXEL^3 2014-12-10T20:43:00

Very nice idea. A nice interpretation of the theme.
Decent controls, and nice graphics! Good job!

Paws of Fury by ehtd 2014-12-09T14:13:00

Yay! I won! That red cat was tough, but I managed to beat it! Fun little game!

ZedHead by dokidoki 2014-12-14T21:20:00

nice frogger twist. And damn it gets hard :P
Nice job!

Card Quest by GAFBlizzard 2014-12-17T16:17:00

Loved the interactive intro screen! (Maybe make it skipable though) - Also I'm a sucker for deck building games, so I really liked it, although it wasn't easy to understand all the cards.

Go farm! by vidarn 2014-12-12T20:01:00

Nice idea. A good game for relaxing or chilling. I like the sense of progression you can have at your own pace. Graphics are nice and they create a nice atmosphere.

Super Snow Girl by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2014-12-29T01:07:00

Nice graphics and animations. Although it wasn't really finished, the part you did make did feel rather polished. I liked the sound effects, and who doesn't like collecting coins? :-)

Two Fold Swan by Jellycakes 2014-12-17T16:58:00

What an innovative way to use the theme. The art style is great, but gameplay was a bit slow for my taste.

...---... SoS Save Our Snowmen by commanderstitch 2014-12-09T21:38:00

I beat the game twice, both times by random chance -I don't know if me being colorblind had anything to do with my inability to see him. - The idea is very good though- Well done for a first time with a new language :-)

Special Plops by Codheadz 2014-12-27T21:08:00

I actually had fun playing this "shit" :P
A nice little idea! Good luck on your mobile version.

Spectrum by dark_hunter 2014-12-09T21:33:00

My first to LD entries were in XNA - And seeing how much you've done in such a short time is impressive! Good job! I liked the idea about the special weapons, and the ability to absorb the colored projectiles accordingly. I enjoyed playing this! Some sound effects would've really added to the experience though! Good job!

The Legend of Hyperlink by NickName 2014-12-10T21:18:00

So.. this was great. It invoked a very unique mood- Nostalgia mixed with.. something else. Really great mood. The idea was very nice as well! Good job!

Coin Toss Simulator 2015 by Mekuri 2014-12-09T02:05:00

I know- I really did struggle with the Theme for 3D - I made my "menu screen" as an interpretation of the theme, sort of not to entirely ignore it :-)

Coin Toss Simulator 2015 by Mekuri 2014-12-09T06:59:00

@GAFBlizzard: You're spot on! It was the only "high speed" object. The kitchen sponges have a similar effect, but nowhere near the same speed. - I'm glad you liked the music, I made it with Punk-O-Matic.

@SpartanIceCream: I'm glad you like it! Feel free to do all the tossing you like :-)

Coin Toss Simulator 2015 by Mekuri 2014-12-10T19:56:00

Hey people! Thanks a lot for all your feedback, I am really happy that you like it! I did put a lot of thought into this and I am definitely planning on taking this game further. I have tons of ideas :-)
I'm glad you liked the music, I wasn't sure it was too rough much for some people, thus I chose to leave it off as default.
I will definitely also check out your game Domicuc- That goes for all of you- I usually go through the comments and play people's games at some point :-)
Again thanks for all the feedback- It is really appreciated.

Santa's Seasonal Slayfest by GarethIW 2014-12-10T21:03:00

haha, merry christmas!
Funny idea. It would probably be more fun with a 2nd player, as the feeling of competition would probably enhance the experience a bit. Good game and nice idea!

-- by vegard1992 2014-12-10T21:36:00

An interesting idea. I wasn't really fond of the controls though. But I liked the combination of a puzzle game and a "don't get hit by shit" game :-) Good job!

Doll house: q-Be or not q-Be by Liam :D 2014-12-25T13:20:00

lol what a great idea. Although the graphics are simple it really had a nice feel to it. Would've been nice with some audio. - Nice "Sims - Simple edition" with a nice doll-house twist :-)

SnowCard by mrexcessive 2014-12-14T20:59:00

Nice little game. I found it slightly hard, because I was using my laptop playing this :P All in all a decent game.

Garden of Brewery, Science and Malice by mortus 2014-12-25T13:13:00

Great game. Nice tower Defense-ish game. The game felt very polished and I loved the graphics and the audio! Great job!

Unity Ascension by hitchh1k3r 2014-12-11T23:16:00

Great fun! A bit laggy, but that is what to be expected within a very limited time frame. I enjoyed the game and I was lucky enough to play with someone else.
Good job!

Meteommo by Jhelle 2014-12-09T20:37:00

I had fun chatting with the other guys online- But I will not rate it- I'm not sure it would be right :-) Nice attempt - And good job on the chat!

Try Saving Animals by kneeko 2014-12-09T20:28:00

I got a bit over 194000. I found that just spamming the mouse on a suitcase with animals in it gave points multiple times. - Anyways, I enjoyed the game. It felt very polished, and the graphics and audio was very nice! Good job!

Frosty Ninja by belva1234 2014-12-09T13:06:00

Yay, made it to the leaderboards! Fun game! I really liked the idea, and especially how you lose body parts when taking damage :-)

Complete The Ludum by bakudas 2014-12-09T07:21:00

What a fascinating idea! This was really innovative. A bit confusing at first, but once you get the idea, it's nice! I found it a bit challenging, but that just added to the experience! Very innovative and good use of the theme!

One life hero by komjaur 2014-12-09T21:44:00

I've always been a sucker for games with a good combat log - I loved that part. Would've loved to see some sort of leveling system to make the experience more rewarding!

Boagie Dodge by Boracho 2014-12-25T11:26:00

It took me a while to get the wall jumping controls, but once you actually get that you just have to move in the direction you want to jump it actually feels quite good, so I ended up liking the mechanic :-) A decent game.

Fireguy by joppiesaus 2014-12-25T12:59:00

It would've been nice with a slightly smaller bounding box on the player, it was a bit hard to move through narrow "corridors". I liked the idea with having health, instead of the classic 1 hit one kill thing in bomber man.
I have to ask, out of curiousity - How hard was it to port from XNA to monoGame? I used to do a lot of XNA, but never really tried out MonoGame.

Escape the darkness - by dearenot by dearenot 2014-12-09T07:14:00

Nice and simple little game! I liked the light mechanic, it kind of made you feel safer the more light you had.

Republik Power & Light by JavadocMD 2014-12-09T21:51:00

That was fun! Nice use of the theme. I actually managed to get a bit stressed- Well done!

Neighboring by psychonull 2014-12-27T21:40:00

This game really stressed me! Which is a good thing, I kinda godt caught up in it :P - The idea is really fun, and I loved the old lady! Good job!

Rare Earth by Thingo Studios 2014-12-25T11:40:00

Very great idea! I love how you just go from "one boss battle" to another- It adds a lot of variety to the gameplay! Very nice work and great idea! I really hate that there's no sound at all, that would really complete this game. The post-jam version sounds very promising as the things you're mentioning will be there, are definitely things that will benefit this game greatly! Great job!

cover by thristhart 2014-12-17T16:50:00

I loved this. Greqt concept. I did go afk a few minutes, and when I came back my army of storm callers had whited out my entire screen, and I was unable to "drag" my way out of it. Have you considered releasing this to mobile? Very great job!

Old Game on an Old Screen by SK16 Games 2014-12-11T23:22:00

haha, you actually managed to give me a little scare at the end, even though I kind of expected it! Good job!

Bedungeoned by Vinyl Pixels 2014-12-17T17:09:00

I like how you added a puzzle game on top of a maze game. Great idea.

Node Alpha by Geckoo1337 2014-12-27T21:30:00

Nice graphics, and decent gameplay. I would've chosen something else than middle mouse button to push the boxes, but a minor detail though. I had fun, and liked how little changes to the map increased the difficulty. Good game.

Contact Cowboy by jrap 2014-12-09T13:13:00

Very nice game! I really loved the idea. A nice addition would be online multiplayer since it's hard not to notice when the other player is moving or not, thus you quickly discover him. Really good game! Thumbs up!

Penguin Savior by Samuel Arminana 2014-12-09T21:05:00

Awesome graphics - Loved it. The game was pretty straight forward, but fairly well done. It's a shame you didn't add any sound- A few sound effects and the right music, would've made this game stand out even more.

Bugged Out by InfectionTeam 2014-12-25T13:27:00

That was different- I liked it! Got a bit tedious to click bugs, but the initial excitement was very nice :-) Good job.

Rob by SelfishGenome 2014-12-09T21:27:00

Very great game! I loved every minute of it. I beat the campaign (And on my first try even :) ) - I found it very rewarding killing cubes, and I loved how you manged to animate them in a way that actually gave them life. Awesome job! My favorite game for this dare so far!

Poo Dee Pie by Blue Thumbs Gaming 2014-12-09T14:18:00

Great graphics, and a shitty humor! It quickly gets tedious, but the graphics makes you wanna stay just a little bit longer.

Blipt in the Dark by PurpleApes 2014-12-10T20:31:00

A very nice use of the theme- I liked the 3rd dimension in a 2D game aspect- It made for some interesting playing. You had to concentrate at some points to keep track of which layer you were on! Very innovative. nice job!

Faster than MMO by Luke Nizik 2014-12-17T16:10:00

I like the idea, but sadly noone was around to play with when I tried. So I kinda feel I won't be able to rate you fairly, and as such I won't. I might check in again at a later time, and try again :-)

Avalanche by uvwar 2014-12-17T17:37:00

I smiled at the music. Great idea about that. I liked the shadow, it really helps maneuvering.

Shiny Disco Ball! by keyle 2014-12-09T20:54:00

Nice pinball game! I felt the physics was just right- Good job on that! - If you plan on continuing with this game, some visuals when you hit the various stuff would be nice, it kinda felt wrong that there weren't any. Nice job!

Polar bear survival by TMAT Productions 2014-12-11T22:24:00

Nice idea! It was fairly easy, had to "die on purpose" to die. A nice game for a first try. Good job!

Legend of Destiny by Remicy 2014-12-30T00:29:00

What a great idea. I tried both versions (I rated you based on the compo version)
Your idea is great - I really liked it. I am probably gonna play your game some more at some point. I like the alternative way of doing an "adventure" game. Very innovative!

My Screen by Dimitri0xFF 2014-12-30T00:16:00

Nice idea- Not much to do though. I liked the lose animation :-)

Desert Cat by The Walking Kiwi 2014-12-09T21:01:00

I kinda got the idea after a while, but it was difficult to get. I did like the idea that you build upwards, and the zombies kind of tear it down.

They Call Me Trap Savage by SpartanIceCream 2014-12-10T20:20:00

This game is addictive! Still playing as I write :P A slow paced game, but I actually like it. Simple and to the point! I like the graphics style! Good job!

Snowflake by Meral 2014-12-25T11:32:00

When I came to around winther 68 the entire screen became red- (I made it that far because I found out you could just move to the bottom of the screen, and nothing will hurt you :( - Anyways I liked the little story - The gameplay was simple and difficult :-)

Fill the bar by SMASH BASH 2014-12-25T11:53:00

Loved the idea- I don't know why filling a bar became so addictive- Even at the end I decided to keep filling that bar for a while :P - Great idea, nice job!

Snow Fight by MysteryMeat 2014-12-30T00:01:00

Nice music!! Fun game, I failed to beat what I believe to be that last guy- It was just too hard trying to go there again and again. A nice compromise would've been to maybe have an extra life or two :-)
Anyways- Cute graphics, and I actually had decent fun playing it! Well done!

7 Days of War by error031 2014-12-09T13:19:00

I liked the mood, reminded me a bit of Limbo, probably because of the graphics style. It seemed a bit too random with the crate drops. Some games I got a lot, and others not so many. All in all a Good job!

Windows Cleaner Simulator by Instant Noodles 2014-12-15T12:48:00

I love the graphics. A very simple and small game, but with a nice mood.

I Am Technician by Murchurl 2014-12-17T16:22:00

Although the graphics were simple I really liked them. The game was quite hard though, but easy isn't always = good.

Mascarpone by Domicuc 2014-12-25T13:07:00

Great game! I love tower defense games. Very nice audio and mood, it worked great with the minimalistic graphics style, which I also liked :-) Good job!

Papercuts by Tasteslikefuture 2014-12-09T20:17:00

This was amazing. A very cool idea, and I liked the random story elements. I like the random story part, and the way it is told. A very very nice way to use the theme! Great job! With a little more variety in the gameplay, this could definitely become a very good game!

SnowMan Reverge by BSODDevTeam 2014-12-10T20:01:00

Now I'm utterly hopeless :O
Definitely a random game - I did not win. Nice graphics though!

Nanaina by Steffan 'Ruirize' James 2014-12-09T20:36:00

Nice graphics and great idea. The jumping was a bit anoying, especially because there were a lot of jump were there was no margin for error on the jumping. Being hard is not an issue, but there were a lot of jumping :P
Anyways aside from that- I loved the graphics and the way you handled the lighting!

Get Out by rodobodolfo 2014-12-25T11:18:00

It has a nice feel to it, which, since it isn't finished is a bit of an anticlimax. A nice attempt though :-)

Elf Hunter by Kim Sjöberg 2014-12-17T17:16:00

The reload thing was a bit frustrating- How about adding ammo you can pick up instead? - Aside from that a fun game, with a nice graphics style.

Tangled Maze by jachepe 2014-12-09T20:49:00

I actually managed to get out! :-) - The idea for a changing maze was great- Especially because there's actually a pattern to the change. The controls were.. weird because of the "tile based" movement. The music was good, but too short, so the loop became more of an annoyance in the long run. I liked the graphics, especially your menu screen was very well done! For a first game I'd say this was well done!

Houston, We've Got a Problem by MrBadIvan 2014-12-14T10:34:00

You've got a great basic idea here. Your future plans will definitely add to the experience. I loved the graphics- I had a hard time figuring out if I did a good job though.
Looking forward to seeing this developed further!

Super Start World by calavera 2014-12-30T00:22:00

lol... just lol! And the worst part- I am craving more!!! Really great humor!

Orbit Jumper by Luminar 2014-12-30T00:39:00

Nice idea. Took me a few tries, and then I kinda got the hang of the controls, although they could be improved :-)
Sound would've been nice, and maybe a map- It felt a bit random just going out blind.

Office Gaming Inception by AMS 2014-12-11T23:47:00

haha what a great idea! I felt the stress, and you managed to convey that feeling extremely well! Very very nice mood! great job!

Do you want to kill a snowman? by Tunuko 2014-12-29T23:39:00

I was impressed at how much content you actually had. Various types of mobs (Even Big ones :P ), the power ups (Ring of Fire effect was awesome). The Block building idea was great, but could use some polish. The randomness of the ammo drops also had a huge impact on how hard it was- But all in all I was positively surprised. Great work!

GraviFlip by oh_andrej 2014-12-17T17:21:00

A hard game, but I like it! I liked how you could combo for more points. I loved how the tutorial worked- Simply, to the point, and the player controlled the speed of it -AND it was skipable! good job.

Lumit by Leaghorn 2014-12-17T17:03:00

Interesting gameplay. The graphics are nice as well. It felt very polished, so good job!

Nuclear Power Plant Simulator 2014 by Pfilzweg 2014-12-17T17:48:00

Lovely idea. Very good job for a first entry. Would've loved to have a goal of some sort, that would really add to the experience, but as you said- Time constraints.

The Adventures of King Pistachio by gquibao 2014-12-17T17:27:00

haha I love the drastic sound and animation when you die. It made me laugh. I had fun playing it! Good job.

The Lonely Realm of Tom Thaum, the Space Wizard by JJEvil 2014-12-16T06:59:00

Took me a short while to figure out - but after that - I had fun! I loved the idea. A mixed sense of progression and a sense of impending doom! Great work - I loved it!

RIZUMUDEKATTO by EquipeJAM 2014-12-15T13:05:00

A great idea- Maybe add some penalty for "button mashing" - Since that was a lot easier than going with the rhythm. The graphics are good, and the gameplay is pretty straightforward.

SIRTET by stray 2014-12-09T13:31:00

Scored 46. This game is awesome! Who would've thought that a reversed tetris would be this fun! Very good job, very innovative - I'm impressed!

One Killer - One Window by Thalia 2014-12-09T02:19:00

I love these kinds of games! You really managed to create a good mood here! The clues didn't really help me much though- I ended up being defeated :P - I will give it a go again, maybe trying a few times makes it easier to see a pettern. Good job!

Graffiti Escape by LeReveur 2014-12-11T22:18:00

Yay! I finally beat it! Took me.. waaaaay too long :P I loved the style, and the idea was great, but I'd prefer a logical approach to finding clues rather than a random one. But you did managed to get me hooked nonetheless so, job well done! :-)

Blockade by TheGreenTie 2014-12-11T23:09:00

omg! This game is whacked! Very nice done, and great humor! Very good job!!!

Asking Out Simulator by sanchitgulati 2014-12-09T07:26:00

Fun little game! I actually liked the layout. It was fresh :-)

Orion by feiss 2014-12-14T21:16:00

Loved the idea and the level of detail, I made it to "mars" :-)
It felt a bit boring at first, but after take off it gets a bit more challenging. Loved the idea. Good job!

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Negotiation Tactics by Cosmologicon 2015-04-21T20:40:00

I really liked the idea, but I found the game immensely difficult. I tried for about 20 minutes just to beat the first level, and I always failed around day 5 from the voting. Might be me that suck or missed something. I did not want to use cheats, as.. well I don't like them.

My difficulties aside I found myself enjoying the game, good job.

Space Worder by ponk 2015-04-21T20:55:00

You should've finished it. A bit of sound and some score and you might have had an addictive game :P Right now it just feels.. weird :P

Nail Gun Hero by rujo 2015-04-21T18:08:00

I like the retro style. The game was hard, but in a good way. I loved the nail gun effect, especially that it removed incoming fire. Very innovative!

Ring Retorter by zatyka 2015-04-21T13:07:00

haha, this was sooo Monkey Island-ish :P
I loved that the insult wasn't a 1 to 1 ratio. Some of them could be used against several remarks- Nice touch!
I could play this for hours if it had more enemies :P I had great fun (And maybe you earn a few cheap points from the nostalgia rush I got from it :P )

Great job!

Cheeseburger (in Paradise) by Just_delete_it 2015-04-26T21:53:00

So.. that happened :P
I get the adverbgames point, and all, and there were something about the mood you created- But there was no gameplay at all.

Unconventional War by LogicielAllan 2015-04-21T12:37:00

I liked the idea, but not much feedback or consequence for my actions. The red buttons were.. well there :P

Movement was painfully slow- But I think you did a good job on the graphics, especially as an XNA game.

Unconventional Universal Remote by Mekuri 2015-04-21T13:26:00

Thanks for the headsup - I totally messed that dropbox upload up :P I'm putting the Unity player version up on Itch.io - Link will be updated soon!

Unconventional Universal Remote by Mekuri 2015-04-22T08:48:00

The support button is an option that is on by default, and I never really considered to untick it, as.. well I never really considered anything about money.

Head Sword Ninja by junt74 2015-04-21T19:10:00

This was.. weird :P - The music was a nice match. The physics was actually fairly nice, although the game was fairly hard. Fun little game though.

The morning type by Liam :D 2015-04-23T06:27:00

I loved the style of the game. It felt very nice, and polished.
I did a game last ludum dare where the theme was.. off, but it's fine. Better to do some kind of game, than nothing at all due to the theme.
I was entertained by your game and I loved the atmosphere. You already covered the game's shortcomings, and if you fixed those I think you have a very nice typing game here. I can easily see this evolve to some kind of story driven game where you type key points. I like that the words weren't exactly the same on each playthrough. I think you did a very good job! Well done!

(mental)fairy by 0x0961h 2015-04-21T12:15:00

The gameplay quickly got tedious, but I do like the alternative take on a "space shooter" game. Also I loved the graphics style, you did really good on that.

Beacons by Xanjos 2015-04-21T18:49:00

I liked the idea. I don't think it was overly difficulty, but not easy either. I liked the style- I kinda like it when people make something meaning full out of the primitives. You did a nice job - well done!

Magnets, How Do They Work? by Lizzip 2015-04-21T19:34:00

Great idea I liked it. I failed to see the point about dying in the walls though, but apart from that I liked the game. It got fairly challenging as you moved on. Well done.

Space Boy by Hyoga-3D 2015-04-21T13:18:00

Nice game. I got confused early on when I got stuck at one of the poles, and circled extremely fast. And then I was like "Aahh, of course!" - Great game, loved the controls and nice graphics!

Silence by Erkberg 2015-04-21T18:25:00

Gameplay wise it got a bit tedious, but I did play it until the end, so you managed to keep me curious. The music and sounds were great. A nice attempt on a "mood" game :-)

Type Commander by Latency 2015-04-21T19:19:00

Yay! I beat the game on first try with no monsters coming through- But I was kinda glad the game ended there because I was getting fatigued :P - I felt challenged and I had great fun. I restarted the game afterwards just to experience loosing, I like the "comments" from the people :P
The graphics were really nice, all in all I really liked this game a lot :) Good job!

Into The Fray by Naked_Samurai 2015-04-25T14:30:00

Took me a short while to figure out that it was the entire "side" that got blocked, not just the point. After figuring that out the game suddenly made a lot of sense and I had fun. I managed to beat all the levels, fairly easily. The idea was awesome, albeit a bit too slow. I do believe that more complex levels won't feel that slow :-) I Loved the Agility boost. All in all a great idea, and I was entertained. Good job!

Dreamfisher by Tanser 2015-04-21T20:18:00

I only get a white screen with music, and UI overlay. I can even get a combo of some sort when spamming space- But not able to play.

Monkey Business by colludium 2015-04-21T18:01:00

Great game. Nice artwork and smooth controls. Felt very polished, except for a few minor bugs. (Got some random freezes for a few seconds a few times)

Skyblade by sharpcoder 2015-04-21T19:43:00

Sound would add sooooooo much to this game. It kinda lacks a bit of feel because of it. Slap on some sound, make a post compo version, and you're golden- I had fun playing it.

Nuclear Space Buckets by oranebeast 2015-04-21T18:46:00

I had my brother over so played this game with him. We had a lot of fun, for short while. It quickly gets repetitive, but we had some good laughs.. well done :-)

SLICK LICKER by KodingNights 2015-04-21T12:56:00

Great game. Felt like being inside a pinball game -In a good way. Nice mood and beautiful graphics. Took me short while to get hang of the controls and such, but I ended up having fun :-) Nice job.

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-21T12:02:00

Very nice mood in this game. Very simple gameplay, but I had to follow the texts (Both colors) like a good(bad) dog, which kept curious, and as such entertained.
I enjoyed it - Good work.

Slug Fest by jmborden 2015-04-22T09:00:00

I like the idea of this game - Salting snails- Seems original.
I like the fact that you made the effort to finish it as a jam, rather than giving up on the compo.
The objectives of the game are pretty straight forward, and I managed to beat it after 15-20 tries.

The graphics were nice, good job on making the sprites yourself.
The slugs sometimes became invisible, making me think I killed them- Maybe because they were behind some hitbox or something?

All in all a simple game, that could benefit from some sound and some polish (Most Ludum Dare games can I suppose :) ) - But well done considering you went into unknown territory.

The Hand That Feeds by Skinny Jean Death 2015-04-26T11:04:00

A very great idea. I had a hard time keeping track of my pet though, and felt a bit overwhelmed by the monsters.

I liked the graphics, they were nice.

I can really see the potential in the game and would like to see where you can take this with some polish. Good job to you all.

Deadly rain by Sublustris 2015-04-21T19:53:00

I great idea for a game. I like how the chopper both works against you and with you sometimes. I loved that the entire level is destructible. It is however very hard, especially due to the (seemingly) randomness of the fire from the missiles- It makes it really hard to anticipate, and thus takes away control from the player. A little polishing on the missile mechanic and you have a very nice difficult (but less frustrating) game. Somehow I really liked this game.

My little friend Ernest by Obvious Industries 2015-04-21T22:44:00

What a great and big game. You guys clearly put a lot of effort into this. The graphics are great, the sounds are decent. Even the story is compelling.

Padilla's Pancakes by Borkleby 2015-04-21T13:45:00

Nice idea. Reminded me a bit of an old C64 game I used to play as a kid. Excellente!

Evil Cupido: Haters gonna hate by Pixel Heart 2015-04-21T17:49:00

Nice controls, really loved them. The art is very great as well. It's fairly hard, but not in a way where you blame the game. It felt mostly polished, except for a few minor bugs. (had two random freezes for a few seconds, and a few weird experiences with jitters when dying).

I had fun, and actually played for quite a while - Good job.

NO TIME TO EXPLAIN: GET IN THE LLAMA by Nidar 2015-04-21T13:15:00

lol that was.. different-- I had fun throwing forks all over the place and lagging up my computer :P

If you spam the forks and the fps drops, you can actually move off the platform.. Happened to me on my second try.

Anyways, It was great fun, nice graphics, and some nice sound effects!

LD33 — You are the Monster

That Cow Game by nomand 2015-08-30T16:52:00

I liked the idea, the exploration part alone was fun enough, albeit rather short. A shame you didn't get around to adding sounds, that would've enhanced the experience, I'm sure.

Escape From Twump Tower by 01010111 2015-08-31T16:26:00

Nice graphics. It felt very polished to play. Reminded me a bit about the old Blues Brothers platform game, but that may just be be drawing weird parallels :P Good job!

Who Is The Monster? by Super Hamster 2015-08-25T02:27:00

I had fun playing! I really love your choice of "monster" - So great!
I found it hard (or maybe I lack patience) - I managed to get 12 kills, after trying to be super stealthy :P Well done!

Shopping Cart Return by pcmccull 2015-08-25T13:31:00

This was surprisingly difficult. Nice idea.

Scare the Looters by Slapunas 2015-08-27T13:04:00

Great game. Felt really great to control, and the graphics were great. A bit more polish and shine, and some sound effects, and you'll have a great game. Very good job!

Manster Ltd by burjandedy 2015-08-25T13:55:00

Not bad for a first game. I beat quite a few levels on 100%. Some animation would've helped greatly, but for a first game, in such a short time, this is nice :-)

Mr. Yeti's Fast Food by Balzaque 2015-08-30T01:38:00

I'm one of those that spent an unhealthy number of hours playing SkiFree. I must say, I now have a new found sympathy for my old nemesis.

The game felt very polished- Controls where nice, as well as sound and graphics. I specially loved that the guys on skis were just as shitty as I used to be :P
Good job, and thanks for the nostalgia trip, with improved graphics :P

Pesky Heroes! by Adam Gould 2015-08-27T13:22:00

Great game! Got me fairly addicted, but I'm a sucker for games that let's you level up :P
I found the bouncy mechanic unique and it felt surprisingly good! Very good job!

Of Glorious Nation by Xinelu 2015-08-26T21:44:00

I finally managed to get to the rts part. After reading the comments, I bought 100+ tanks, and suddenly the reconquer button worked.
It's a real shame that this game is so bug ridden, because the RTS part seemed really great, but invisible walls made it impossible to destroy all the enemy tanks.
Consider fixing the issues, as I'm pretty sure these bugs qualify as game breaking, and as such, you are allowed to fix them according to the Ludum Dare Jam rules.

YouAreTheMonster by KaiseanGames 2015-08-25T13:47:00

I got lucky (Or used the labyrinth algorithm :P ) and found the "green room".

Too bad you didn't have time to add more, it felt like this game could've been very good, as it is already on the right track.

Lovers on a Park Bench by peterthehe 2015-08-25T03:43:00

Very creative. I tried a few times, but ended up killing my ex every time- Apparently I wasn't good at the combat part.
The writing was great, and I liked the mood of the game. Nice job!

Detached by khahem 2015-08-25T02:13:00

Great graphics, and very fun gameplay! I managed to beat the game, which means I had fun. Some interesting puzzles. The difficultie varied quite a bit, but I wouldn't mind playing it with even harder puzzles.! Really great job! I'm glad this was the first game I played for this Dare :-)

Bananasourus by aaronsnoswell 2015-08-27T12:38:00

In the beginning of the Dare we were a few people on the IRC that discussed ideas- A similar idea came up, except that it was a splinter that should injure people, rather than a banana peel, so I like the idea :-)

Quick and easy game- I loved the graphics of the banana peel. All in all a decent "time killer" game :-) nice job.

AM I? by DruhinM 2015-08-26T21:52:00

Fun little game. The music fits just perfect. Simple gameplay, nice graphics- Not really much else to say.
Well done.

I'm a Monster Rawr! by bakakyo 2015-08-25T13:28:00

Great artwork, and a cute monster. Fairly simple gameplay. I liked that you could "bounce" the girls around while having one follow you, so that you can "herd" them into positions not too far from the ambulance.

Slime Hunter by Ardy 2015-08-25T03:58:00

Nice little game! I like that you added different "slimes" and that you actually "educated" the player via the levels- Very nice.

Tentacle Rescue : Summer of Love by Casper 2015-08-25T13:13:00

Great idea- Although the difficulty seemed to scale very slowly, and suddenly you hit a wall where it gets really fast.

This would work really well as a mobile game- So go do that!!

I was impressed that the starfish didn't just lay on top of an image, but the actually interacted with "her", and had the correct angles and such when they landed on her.
The fixed version felt very polished as well. Good job.

McTremson Bar by collaboration 2015-08-31T16:54:00

Awesome game. Great mood, great tunes, and great graphics.
The movement was a bit slow, especially when playing over and over again. I really tried, but failed to get the last ending. I also only managed once to not get the "I'm busy" answer from the woman, I suspect my missing ending may be in that direction.

IT took me a while to figure out, but it was well worth the trial and error.

You did a great job!!

Monster Chips by derugin.s 2015-08-25T13:18:00

The web version failed to capture my mouse, which was an issue as use two monitors.
L loved the graphics. I was a bit confused about the gameplay, but I managed to scare some guards, which was nice.

Motherflipin' T-Rex! by mantis 2015-08-25T13:36:00

A bit too fast for me, but great fun nonetheless. I don't know if I did good, but I managed a score of a bit over 65000.
I liked the homemade sounds, made sense in this kind of game.

The Cauldron of Humanity by Lashiz121 2015-08-25T03:23:00

Took me a short while to realize I could move. I loved the idea of summoning minions and casting spells. Got a bit disappointed that the minions didn't join you in the next level, after they entered the portal by themselves. That would've been cool!
I really liked the idea! Good work!

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Chillfish got the munchies and hates squids by SpectreNectar 2015-12-15T02:08:00

A fairly simple game, and slightly confusing since the background didn't react to movement.
The mood however was.. chilling- It may be because I'm playing it at 3AM, but there was something unnerving, close to scary about the mood, that really fascinated me.

Tamagotchi Hell by Troyan 2015-12-15T21:06:00

Nice idea, I manage to figure out what to do. It gets a bit tedious after a while, but I found it interesting to see how the "devil" evolved - Nice graphics.

Civilise by AnaglyphCoding 2015-12-15T21:30:00

Nice game. Strategy type games are a rare sight in Ludum Dare (At least the games I've played) - I tend to enjoy them. I was a bit confused about what to build- I managed to stack a lot of high buildings, and rack in a lot of money.
I had fun playing, nice job!

The Super Bros (that are not Brothers!) by Xinelu 2015-12-15T21:10:00

Nice idea- It was really hard (Which is not a bad thing.

Fight Back! by ChaosCult 2015-12-15T21:38:00

Great game. It felt very well polished, and the controls were great (and only two buttons). One of the best I've played this dare, so far :-)

FLOW by Romixal 2015-12-15T20:57:00

This was.. a different experience. I tried distinguishing and following some of the sounds, but I seems to miss them every time I got close. Nice mood.

Bee & Flowers by Ingon 2015-12-15T21:32:00

Are you going to make a windows or web version? The screenshots are very intriguing :-)

Arnie Vs Aliens by Wryxo 2015-12-26T10:24:00

Just above 100k after some tries. - Got a bit confused about using the small gun. Seems it made the aliens morph instantly, but then dissapear when the phase was over? May be me getting confused :P - I had fun though. Nice little game.

TreePlanting Simulator by Cursed Embassy 2015-12-15T21:17:00

Nice music and graphics- Not much gameplay, but I did manage to plant a tree :-)

Hello Darkness by jcmonkey 2015-12-15T21:20:00

Loved the sounds effects! For a first Ludum Dare, you did pretty well, good job :-)

LD35 — Shapeshift

Ejderhalar by arhpositive 2016-04-19T19:35:00

I've heard about board games for Ludum Dare, but this is the first I've seen in the 10 Ludum Dares I've done.

Sadly I do not have the "hardware" at home to play it, but I did read through your rules, and tried to explain some of the rules to the Mrs, mainly to get a better idea of it myself (Learning by explaining other people works quite well for me)
I'd love to see a video of your game being played, to really see it at work.

I am very intrigued by this concept! Good job.

Tentatively Titled: Tentacle Terroir Terror! by fprawn 2016-04-19T18:50:00

Would love to see a windows version? :-)

Shapey by JALgames 2016-04-19T19:00:00

When you started out apologizing about the sound I feared the worst, but in my opinion it really added a lot of value to the game.
I also really liked the graphics, they fit well together with the sound.
If you were to do a post compo version of this, it would be nice if the controls were more smooth, and maybe slightly slower- Furthermore a game mechanic could be to give the various shapes different abilities, like circle can jump higher, square can break certain tiles, and so forth.
All in all I found this to be a good game! Good job!

GeoRun by zwrawr 2016-04-20T13:18:00

Very nice idea, and good use of the theme- The controls however are a bit frustrating, but nothing a bit of polish can't fix.
Good job.

Turbo/Glide by rnlf 2016-04-20T22:09:00

Great work. I had a lot of fun. It was fairly hard, but in a good way. The game froze for me a few times when dying on track 4.
All in all, a solid entry- Good job!

Slime Tech by foolmoron 2016-04-20T21:17:00

Very nice concept. The movement of the slime had a nice feel to it. It got rather difficult after level 3, but I still had great fun! Sound, or just even some soothing music, would really add to the mood of this type of game.

Shifters by Beard 2016-04-19T12:58:00

Sadly not much of a game yet. Somehow I managed to get into combat, and when combat was done, nothing else happened.
You should make a post compo version though.

Cutting Hedge by Headmade 2016-04-19T20:04:00

What a great idea and fun interpretation of the theme.
I was very entertained, and the game felt very very polished. The responsiveness to your cuts was just perfect!
I found the satisfaction rating to be too easy to please though- Or the customers simply liked my style!

I am genuinely impressed with this game! Great work!

Shift by CliffracerX 2016-04-20T11:43:00

Very interesting game. I liked the graphics, and the puzzle style was great. I loved what you did with the music for the different "dimensions?".
I would've liked to have holding the boxes to be toggle-able, rather than having to hold down the button, it got a bit frustrating after a while, but maybe that's just me :-)
It seemed that there was issues with the mouse capturing. (I played Win64 Version). Sometimes it was visible, albeit locked while playing- And sometimes when entering the menu, it was locked, so I had to alt tab in and out to release it again, just wanted to mention it :-)
Oh, and one more thing- I would've loved if I could invert the mouse- I am one of those guys :P
All in all I found this game to be pretty good. Great job!

gunshift by pixzleone 2016-04-20T20:58:00

Spoiler alert...
The cake is a lie!!!

I was actually very impressed with the mechanics. Slighly smoother movement and pixel perfect collision detection, and this would be a very good game. I had fun all the way through. I'd love to see a newer version with more levels!
Well done!

Atlantis Dare by James Coote 2016-04-19T19:55:00

I love these small strategy games.
When the land mass changes it can really pull the carpet away from under your feet. I really liked the idea of the prayer power used to save tiles.
I had fun playing, and I played for quite a bit.

Silver Bullet by pavel_insight 2016-04-19T12:29:00

Short, but fun! I liked it. I tried all three (unless there's more?) solutions. Great fun!

Potionshift by ekkiiiii 2016-04-20T11:30:00

The base gameplay was nothing new, but the shapeshifting in the tank was a nice visual reward for playing. The game felt very solid, and I encountered no bugs or other quirky stuff.
Good job on a solid game!

The Protagonist by Big Cow 2016-04-19T19:11:00

Quite a fun little story. I loved the graphic style.
Well done.

MONSTER'S BUFFET by glitchu 2016-04-19T19:41:00

Took me a few tries, to get the hang of it- Quite a fun little game. There's something satisfying about "eating" people like that. Good job.

There Are Monsters (Vive) by kvanderlaag 2016-04-19T13:00:00

Looks fun.. No Vive though. I do hope some people have, so you can get some ratings for your game.

Good luck!

Shape Shifter by milano23 2016-04-19T18:49:00

It's a different interpretation of the theme for sure. It's a bit hard to maintain a high speed, but games are not always meant to be easy :-)

Flight of a bee by terop 2016-04-20T22:15:00

I buzzed around for a while, turned into metal, and tried ramming the ladybugs...
I kinda liked the graphics, but sadly I failed to understand the point of the game. I suppose time ran out on you? :-)

Continental Trade Route Association by Swedishpancaces 2016-04-20T13:29:00

All in all a nice idea. There was a bit of quirky behavior with how to do the trade routes, or maybe I misunderstood it- I did manage to get several merchants trading and a good profit rolling. Games like these are awesome, but hard to add lots of content in such a small amount of time. I'll look forward to seeing a post compo version of this.

AAA Wars by alexlemming 2016-04-19T12:42:00

Took me a few tries to get a hang of it. Once realizing that the blue ones helped you, it got a bit easier. I managed to beat it on my fourth attempt. Some audio would've done wonders for this game.

Aftertile by LOSTALLOY 2016-04-20T11:52:00

I managed to find two endings- One of them simply by "dying".
I found the game a bit confusing at first, but I think I kinda got the hang of it. The graphics and animations for the ghost was good, and the death animation was.. interesting as well :-)

I managed to skip a part of the level by simply staying all the way at the top end moving right,- This was not possible all the way through though, so maybe it was intended?

Evotron by testzero 2016-04-19T12:48:00

Not very entertaining in the current state, but you should definitely make a post-compo version.
I really liked the vibrant colors though.
I noticed you did not opt out of the audio category, but I did not experience any sound- Is this a bug, or didn't you include any sound?

Knightwolf by Ironhead 2016-04-19T20:13:00

Awesome graphics. The bouncy pads felt a bit exaggerated, but otherwise it was pretty fun to play.

Detective Alice by chinnie 2016-04-20T20:46:00

Nice game, I managed to beat it, and I really liked the ending! I was a bit confused at first when I started playing, but after a minute or so, I figured things out and it was smooth sailing from there.
I really liked the graphics style, and especially how you used the fog, it was brilliant.
I would've loved it if you had implemented Invert mouse- For us "inverties" it's quite a struggle to play through a game without it.
All in all a good job- The gameplay was very simple, but left me curious, so well done.

Radiance by OverPoweredTeam 2016-04-19T12:49:00

As with the other posters- Still no file in the folder for your Windows version.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Linear A by Recursiveanomaly 2016-09-09T23:09:00

Very well done. I played the web version for.. quite a bit. I managed to translated some of the tablets :)

I grabbed the windows version so that I can play it later.
It felt very well polished, the music and sound effects were just right.
Very well done!

Atlantis Builder by CyberStarLight 2016-08-31T19:16:00

What an impressive game- I'm impressed with the level of detail, in terms of recipes, and how to "grow" everything.
This is one of those games that could really blossom into something awesome if you kept working on it.
I did have to start over once, as I accidentally destroyed the tree I made because I "Scroll clicked" it with the Atlantis Core active, which simply removed the tile, and any future hope of my civilization ;-)

Good job!!

The Wheel by MrErdalUral 2016-08-30T17:56:00

Good job on the graphics!

I had fun playing, although at some point I found it a bit too easy, until I ran in to a wave of rocks I couldn't jump over, then my game quickly ended, just short of 1100 points.
I had a lot of fun, and I kinda liked the take on the theme!
Keep up the good work!

Charioteer by TheFlyingSatan 2016-08-30T17:47:00

I found the game quite hard, but that might be me getting too old for these fast paced games - Basically I think Nichii highlighted the issues! :-)

Well done on finishing your game!

The Journey by Mekuri 2016-08-31T19:03:00

@CyberStarLight
Thanks for your input. Except for the trees, then yes I did the modelling and animations myself. The humanoid models, I made the base with MakeHuman, and then "scaled" them down to fit into a game.

Javelipes by Tegu 2016-09-06T17:26:00

This was addictive! I managed to score 319, and now my fingers hurt :P
Simple game, but hard to let go of :-)
It kind of took me back to my youth, playing various atheltics games with a joystick on my C64! Great fun!

Well done!

Jurassic Ark by Headmade 2016-09-06T17:16:00

What a fun game! I managed to beat it in my 4th try. I found it fairly difficult, but not too frustrating. The controls are great ones you get the hang of them. The sound was great as well!
I loved the idea, and how you used the theme. Everything about this was actually pretty great! Good job!

The House on the Right by WERT Studio 2016-08-30T17:33:00

First off, on a technical note, I run a dual monitor setup, and when I started the game, it stretched with window over both my screens- Luckily I could resize the window, so I was able to have a nice experience playing it.
I liked the graphics style, combined with the music it had a nice mood. I really like games where the environment tells a story, and your imagination fills in the gabs. A more fleshed out gameplay could definitely benefit this game.
Nice job!

Ancient Switchboard by Narkhos 2016-09-06T17:07:00

Nice game! I managed to end up with an infinite 3 step cycle in one of the corners, quite fun to bring "somekind of stability" to "life" :-)

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Benefice by JustinMullin 2018-12-05T18:35:09Z

An amazing game. I got really hooked and played for quite a while. Took me a short while to figure out how to utilize the stone and wooden walls. The sacrifice part was very nice, although the consequences of not sacrificing anything was hard to predict, and I didn't really understand how the walls was supposed to protect me. All in all, I very good game, and it felt polished as well- Probably my top 1 pick, so far.

Thanks for sharing your game.

A 15 Year Voyage From Mars by Pavocado 2018-12-05T20:15:24Z

A fun idea. I the game bugged a bit, it seemed to 'remember' my current weight from the previous missions, unless that was intended? That made some of the missions rather easy. I see a lot of potentials to expand on this idea like adding more consequences, depending on what you jettison, and maybe using the texts for a small storyline or something. The text was nice, but quickly became repetitive, and something you just wanted to click past, but it was a nice touch, and with time constraints, I suppose you don't want to spend all the time writing lines. I refrained from rating audio, as I had no audio while playing, but since you're in the category I assume something might've gone wrong?

Thanks for sharing your game.

MARATAKA by Vodzik 2018-12-05T21:14:18Z

I really liked this game. I managed to find three endings, including unleashing his wrath. The graphics were really nice, and I liked the sounds. The mood was really great, and if it wasn't for the time pressure, I would've probably enjoyed simply walking around a little and enjoy the atmosphere. The path to the top of the volcano was unclear to me at first, and hard to find, when in a hurry, and an option to sprint would've been nice, just a little to close the gab in a pinch. All in all I enjoyed the game.

Thank you for sharing your game.

Bloodgold: Sunken Treasure by BinarySpark 2018-12-04T20:24:42Z

Damn, this game had me crawling on the floor, scrounging for every last gold coin. It was highly addictive, so much so that I played through the entire game. I managed to score a total of 22430- I have no idea if that is good or not, but I was really impressed and enjoyed myself. The graphics were nice, I found the visual effect of the spikes, especially the 'warning' flash to be really innovative. In the first few levels the 'sacrifice' part of the game, with the gold coins, felt a bit off, but it definitely becomes useful later on. The small step forward when swinging the axe felt really good, and the controls were easy to get used to. Finally the level design was very good. Very good job guys!

Let Me Eat You! by v1ru6 2018-12-05T17:48:03Z

A fun idea, and the audio was awesome! A little detail on the terrain would've helped quite a bit. A lot of times I thought my eatmes where standing still, since I couldn't see movement in the terrain. Secondly it took me a while until I realized it was actually a 3d world, not just 2D. Adjusting the start camera angle a bit, would help make this obvious. I enjoyed playing it, and my best game was with 4 eatmes alive, so I suppose that could've gone better.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Forest Of Sacrifices by Verbante 2018-12-04T20:00:01Z

Liked how you got the upgrades, and loved that there was a wall jump mechanic, although it was a bit rough and got a bit frustrating sometimes. I had fun and playing, and the homemade sound effects, and some music on top was good for the mood.

Electrocuted by Odlog Oglog 2018-12-05T20:57:32Z

Fun idea, although not really a nice fit to the theme. I found the game very easy, I managed to beat the game without dying, simply because there were chargers all over the place. It felt unpolished, but not uncommon in the dares (Our game this year is very rough :P ). There were some decent elements in the game, but the game was just too easy. A bit of polish, and some more complex levels, and this could be entertaining to play once in a while.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Gene Sacrifice by Shapkofil 2018-12-05T18:10:50Z

A nice concept for a game, and a good tutorial to begin with. As a comment for the UI, it was a bit annoying I couldn't see the goal, while at the same time having the Partner screen open. It was a nice interpretation of the theme- Good job.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Happy Meal by wischi 2018-12-05T20:48:27Z

After e few tries, and finding out how to eat the dogs, I managed to travel 1175.9km. A nice and simple game, button mashing is not really my thing, but I did get the urge to go further than my previous attempt. Graphics look good, the movement of the player is a tad slow, making it a bit hard to time when to leave the sleigh in order to eat a dog.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Fly Lightly by Sitarra 2018-12-05T20:38:16Z

A very nice and polished game. I tried several times but only made it just short of 4200. I really enjoyed it, but I must admit it got frustratingly difficult towards the end, and the 'woosh' and stop effect ones in a while, although I get it, it became a bit annoying. Apart from that I really enjoyed the experience, nice graphics, music was a good fit, and the sound was good. Good job.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Alpha One Nails by Icehottet 2018-12-05T20:02:29Z

First of, the graphics were really good. The controls were easy to understand, albeit a bit unforgiving, at least on keyboard. It was a bit frustrating when dying and starting over that you had to fly for quite a while before actually having to dodge anything, but that is maybe on the minor side. You managed to capture a good mood, and did some good work on lighting, but maybe a bit too dark, in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Miguel's Birthday present by MarcoMing 2018-12-05T17:28:45Z

I really liked the end graphics- It was quite buggy though, and the game ended abruptly for me. It would've felt a bit better if climbing the ladders wasn't just a teleport, but I get that sometimes we have to cut corners under these tight time constraints. Thanks for sharing your game :-)

Sacrifice Yourself by Grifone 2018-12-05T17:37:25Z

Initially, it felt like a nice idea, the whole sacrificing limbs part. I would've hoped that losing limbs would've had a bigger impact on the game though, rather than just being a part that satisfied the theme, only for the sake of the theme. I get that maybe time constraints might have gotten in the way for such a feature. I really liked the animation/physics movement of the character, while he still has limbs.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Sleep Is For The Weak by Ghostly Dev 2018-12-05T17:58:58Z

I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It felt very polished (Although there were a few animation bugs with the coffee cup). I enjoyed it and loved the mood. The Sound effects were spot on. I liked the various method and class names, quite fun! You did a good job!

Thanks for sharing your game.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Onward Momentum by binary_coder 2020-04-20T21:49:11Z

Very interesting concept. I got stuck at some point as I assigned a lot of the same command, and couldn't figure out how to undo my commands, but maybe I'm just as 'smart' as the KID bots  I really liked the idea, and I'm impressed on how far you managed to take it in so little time. I'm a bit sad that I didn't managed to beat it, but maybe I'll come back later and try.

The on screen instructions were great, but I still found myself a bit lost sometimes, but did managed to beat some levels.

B.U.B.B.A. Express by Pizzasgood 2020-04-21T05:27:27Z

This was fun! I liked how you both had to take care of yourself and the ship. Initially I thought I found the 'win-it-all' strategy, by simply staying on the lower levels and pick up scrap metal to repair the ship, but these pesky bots also finds their way down there.

The first time I jumped off the ship I really had this sense of 'dread' watching the ship fly away from me (although I quickly realized it was easy to catch up)

I'm not sure if you can win this game, but I didn't manage to, after several tries. I definitely enjoyed this, and I think I'll add it to my collection of the Ludum Dare games. (I keep some games around that I find quite good, and this was one of them)

The graphics were really nice, and the audio was quite okay.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing!

Heartventure by Crawl 2020-04-21T11:40:26Z

This was great! I didn't manage to beat the game, and it wesn't from a lack of trying. I died both from exhaustion, strokes and well, just death by animal, I guess. The artstyle were amazing and gave a very nice mood. Game play was seemingly simple (just two buttons) but involved a lot of strategy, and it fun to watch your hero battle the monsters while trying to keep him alive. I also played around a bit, and had a few good laughs of a hero that died from a stroke or exhaustion before even reaching the first enemy. Sound effects were simply, but they fit very well as well. I loved the concept, and it was a very nice take on the theme! Good job, and thanks for sharing!

Keep it Alive by kadams 2020-04-20T22:05:07Z

I was impressed. You managed to do quite a lot here. The tutorial felt nice, although for a while I thought I lost my 'money' everytime I came back from the dungeon, until I realized that I actually 'stashed' the cash at home. I loved the concept of going out to gather loot, come back and buy stuff. Even the fact that I could buy squares and triangles for my base was a very nice touch, I really had that sweet sense of progression and accomplishment. I found it a bit too easy to get enough cash for food and soap though, but I LOVED the shower, and how you used your mechanics for that, simply brilliant! I also managed to poop all over my base, but didn't really figure out if that did anything except for put feces all over the place (Again a great detail)

The physics of the squares and circles felt really smooth, I think the only downside, apart from being a bit too easy, was the music, it was repetitive, and not looped very well.

All in all, a job well done. Thanks for getting me off to a good start on my journey through LD submissions :-)

Feed Them, With A Gun! by Andrew-David 2020-04-21T12:30:55Z

Okay, so this is probably the game I've played the longest from this Ludum Dare. I started out slowly by setting up 'cannon's all over the place, my goal was full automation. I ended up at 34 animals, all able to maintain themselves with the cannons without me interfering. I wanted to go further, but I looked away to write this, and when I looked back I was somehow gameover, not really sure how that happened? My animals were still alive. Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and the art style set the perfect mood. The audio was okay, at least it wasn't annoying :-)

It was a nice take on the theme!

If you plan on doing a post dare version, let me know, and consider making it possible to save your progress, I would like to see how far I can take this.

Kudos for a job well done, and thanks for sharing!

Floriculture by Brickington 2020-04-21T17:45:04Z

I love the idea for this, albeit it's not really something you sit down and play. I still have it running in the background though, and I like the ambience. I find the idea unique, and back in the 90's I loved the whole Tamagotchi thing. I would love to be able to save my progress though, because then I could see myself starting this up once in a while, and get that safe sense oaf achievement, especially in these strange times :-) I liked the artstyle as well, it fit well together with the ambience.

Also congratulations on finishing your first game, well done, and thanks for sharing it with the rest of us :-)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Confusing corridors by someone 2020-10-06T17:08:02Z

Yay I found the exit! I don't know what it was about this game, but I really loved the mood of it. Kinda reminded me of these old school games, maybe partially because the bad guys respawned when reentering rooms, but also something about the atmosphere. Anyways, great submission, and thanks for sharing it :-)

Shadow Loop by Mekuri 2020-10-06T18:21:26Z

@hungrycatgames Yeah, the enter key also bugged me out, I wanted to get it fixed, but it slipped my mind towards the final crunch.

@hjeldin @mattc This was indeed inspired by Uplink, I used to love that game!

@swiftvector I would've loved just a few more hours to polish the difficulty, to really capture that 'under pressure' feel. I'm considering a post jam version, with a few more challenges, and increased difficulty :-)

Thanks a lot for the feedback all of you :-)

Shadow Loop by Mekuri 2020-10-07T15:04:51Z

@pedrohph I am considering expanding on this. Originally I had more ideas for 'hack puzzles', but I'm sure you know how it goes :-)

@riroriro Thanks a lot. I spend quite some time trying to make it look decent :-)

@codertrevor I usually try to challenge myself in my weak areas, and Unity UI was (still is in some regards) my weak point. It was quite a learning experience!

Thanks for the feedback all :-)

Shadow Loop by Mekuri 2020-10-11T12:03:48Z

@ninjacatz Yeah I had ideas to implement upgrades and such, but as always, with these Ludum Dares, features get cut :P

Shadow Loop by Mekuri 2020-10-12T18:06:26Z

@piscythe If it wasn't against the rules I would've already fixed the lack of the enter key, but alas I pushed it until too late. As for the dictionary hack, I agree. It wasn't fully implemented as I wanted it, but it will be in a post-jam version. As for the difficulty, you caught me on one of my weak points. I actually spent a bit of time tweaking it, it started out way too difficult, so I probably overcompensated in the other direction. I'm quite binary in my jam games on that. Either I nail it ot I miss it, and this time I definitely didn't nail it :-) Thanks a lot for your constructive feedback, I really appreciate it!

The Daytona 666 by piscythe 2020-10-12T18:15:38Z

Interesting take on this particular genre. I liked the shots, they actually felt really good, and gave a bit more tactic to the game. Was able to hit the 'big eye thing (IDK :P ) during it's massive pew pew downwards phase, which was interesting. Would've loved a few more sound effects. The music was great, but was also the thing that was carrying a lot of the mood. I liked the whole road movement thing, had an awesome retro feel to it, I loved it in the menu, but while in game, it kinda got lost in the background, as I was busy blasting creatures and dodging fireballs.

Good job, and thanks for sharing :-)

Looping for lööps by Steffo 2020-10-06T18:45:18Z

Initially I thought it was 'just another platformer' (Nothing wrong with that), but once I realized the what a big role the interaction with the mouse played, I was kinda blown away. It made for a whole different experience than I expected! I must sadly admit I did not beat the game, but I think I made it quite far. Oh also - Loved the effect with the laser chasing you that the obstacles actually blocked it.

Great job, thanks for sharing!

Dear John by givit-game-studios 2020-10-06T18:15:51Z

Damn you had me enthralled! A few quirks here and there, but all in all a nice game. I never got what the idea with the chair moving around was? Anyways, I was entertained, you did a splendid job! Thanks for sharing :-)

Hyperloop by R3L0ad1 2020-10-06T18:37:32Z

I'm getting old. Managed just short of 40 seconds on the hard difficulty, but man I had fun. This felt very well polished, I loved the graphics and sound effects, especially when you die, it's really well executed! I loved the thing about the text warning you whats next, felt really good, and created anticipation, especially the first time I saw 'Slalom'. Pat on the back from here - Great job, and thanks a lot for sharing :-)

Mind the Gap by coderTrevor 2020-10-06T17:21:43Z

This had a 'Little big adventure' wipe to it. Triggered a bit of a nostalgia rush in me :-) The boom box was a bit loud. I loved the drone, was quite well done. I also managed to get out of there, so that was great :-)

Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work!

Psychopath Basement by Corbak 2020-10-06T17:53:32Z

Loved the mechanics. I managed to kill one of them one time, and make too much noise another time. The idea is really great, although in some cases there's a bit too much waiting around, in my opinion (Or to be fair, I missed some things I could do) All in all I enjoyed it, and may get back to it later and try to beat it! Good job and thanks for sharing!

MonkeyVM by abvadabra 2020-10-06T16:50:24Z

What a fun game. Got me going for quite a while. Some interesting puzzles, especially once you get to place the walls things gets interesting. Well done on getting so much done in so little time. I didn't get to try out the custom map feature, but maybe I'll get back to that later- Seems very interesting! Thanks for sharing and good job :-)

Guesser by magus77 2020-10-06T20:08:51Z

I managed to get the coffee, and find the toast, but that's about it- But to be fair I'm terrible at these kinds of games. I liked the graphics, and funny stuff with the blue screen and Nyan Cat :)

Good job, and thanks for sharing.

Regguman by NinjaCatz 2020-10-11T12:14:54Z

This was... different. Loved the artstyke, and nice choice of audio. I didn't managed to beat it, and chose not to go for the walkthrough, since I may give it a go later :-)

Well done and thanks for sharing.

40 Days Till Impact by NotSoEpicGames 2020-10-06T17:29:04Z

I too was stuck when having to build the farm. Maybe a lack of resources? The tutorial tells me I have 100 steel, but I only started with 20. Is time supposed to pass, or is it paused because I was still in the tutorial. May check back later, in case the above are bugs :-) . Thanks for sharing.

Group Chat by Meatball 2020-10-09T14:53:28Z

Sooo... that was different. I loved the audio and the pop ups. That part felt really smooth and clean... Quite hard to comment on anything else- You did manage to create somekind of atmosphere that I liked, so there's that.

Good job, and thanks for sharing!

Dreamer by mlkvr 2020-10-07T15:12:47Z

Great job on the cinematic part that was really great! Put some music on top and you have an awesome intro. Gameplaywise it shows you didn't manage to finish, but I like that you actually managed to get an ending in. Keep jamming and thanks for sharing :-)

Shadow of Archimedes by Eckkert 2020-10-07T15:27:16Z

I really loved this game. Took me a while to get it, but once I got I was hooked. I haven't beaten it yet, was close once, but I'll definitely go back and do it. Got a tiny bit tedious when you had to run around to get back to your 'base', but I suppose the idea is to build in multiple places- Tbh though, this is probably the game I had the most fun playing so far- So very good job, and thanks for sharing :-)

The Same Odyssey in Space by pedrohph 2020-10-06T17:02:24Z

All in all quite fun. I did get a bit frustrated about the rooms moving about. I thought I had it figured, and then - Curveball. Not to say it was a bad feature, just took me by surprise. Good job and thanks for sharing :-)

Space Loop by HungryCatGames 2020-10-06T18:28:44Z

Great mixture of the theme and breakout :-) It was hard to resist the urge to just spam the balls away (I may have indulged once or twice :P ) With a bit of polish to the controls, and some other sound effects (They were quite hard on the ears) this could grow into something interesting. Good job - Thanks a lot for sharing :-)

Clockstop Jane by inanimatecarbonrod 2020-10-06T18:53:20Z

Quite a steep learning curve, but managed to figure it out. I really like how the rewind effect worked look, and also fun to watch my own ghosts failing from my previous attempts, until I figured out that I was supposed to help my... future? self  Thanks for sharing!

Yesterday Again by Ruling Spear 2020-10-11T12:02:52Z

Loved your voiceover of the professor! The idea for this was great, I kinda like the whole Groundhog day theme in general. It got a bit repetitive though, as my 'talking to girls skill' apparently sucks. Apart from a few bugs here and there it was a nice game, and I had fun, and eventually managed to 'get the girl' :-) Good job, and thanks for sharing!

IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN. by who_blee 2020-10-09T14:48:37Z

Good job on finishing a game. It did feel a bit repetitive, with the same things being told again and again, but when it comes to these 'artsy' games (meant in a good way :-) ) I'm probably a bit low brow. I don't know if the choices had any impact, but if they did, I loved how you implemented them, although I wouldn't necessarily know what my choices mattered, but maybe some subconscious decision? I think the atmosphere was great, and it I loved how you found a different take on the text based genre.

Good job, and thanks for sharing :-)

Stuck In A Loo by riroriro 2020-10-07T15:38:53Z

I liked the play on the theme name :id:

Fun little game, quite easy, which is honestly nice for a change. Been through a few hard games lately :) Controls felt nice, although I don't know why you would put jump on the z button and not on space or up, but I suppose that may be personal preferences :P Good job and thanks for sharing :-)

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-06T20:14:25Z

I loved the concept about defending the health bar. The skill upgrades felt quite good, although I kinda missed how I got them, but I guess the mobs dropped them, while I was slashing down hordes of them? I liked the graphics style as well, retro, in a cool way. Good job on coming up with this concept, and thank for sharing!

Stuckgrade by N8Dev 2020-10-06T17:40:14Z

What a great concept! I throughoutly enjoyed it. I got a bit frustrated by two things: Getting stuck at edges of platforms, even if it was intentional it felt a bit 'cluncky' in the controls. Secondly it seemed that Jump was the way to go to progress properly. It felt a bit like a time gate, more than anything. Apart from that though- I loved the concept. I'm a sucker for having that sense of progression, and you managed to do that in a game that sends you back to the beginning all the time  Great job, keep up the good work, and thanks a lot for sharing :-)

Dr.Loop's Final Run by JollyJoe 2020-10-09T15:01:29Z

I had a really hard time getting started, as the jump bug made it hard for me to get through the first room, but once I got the hang of it I managed to go ahead. I did not manage to beat the game however, but I liked how the levels looped, and the physics of the boxex.

Good job, thanks for sharing!

Jessica Calls by yellowmoleproductions 2020-10-06T17:15:10Z

Took me a few tries to get the hang of, but ended up enjoying it, and managed to beat it (and maybe sobriety?) I really loved the main menu, it was very well done, and the music added a lot to the game as well! Great job, and thanks for sharing :)

CircleRC by SwiftVector 2020-10-06T19:31:50Z

First off- Loved the graphics- Had a Micro machines vibe to it :-) Nice to see a more 'down to earth' take on the theme. I enjoyed playing it- Good job and thanks for sharing :-)

Internshit by MattC 2020-10-06T19:40:47Z

Fun idea. I had quite a hard time figuring out where to go initially, but I guess that's part of the challenge. Took me two attempts to find the laptop, three to get coffee :) Good job, and thanks for sharing :-)

Adam - Now in 3D by hjeldin 2020-10-06T19:08:24Z

Throwing around a clock, travelling back and forth through time, while wearing a space suit... I did not see that coming when I got up this morning :)

Was a few bugs here and there- I'm fairly certain I was not supposed to jump up high outside the space station? :-) Good job, and thanks for sharing :-)

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

DeckHex by Iluvatar 2022-04-06T09:11:41Z

This kinda reminded me about about 'The Dig' - an old point and click sci-fi/horror game. Graphics were amazing- As other have said, this felt like a demo for something bigger. Although it was short (And the theme was kinda forced in there a bit), it felt like a bigger world, than just the few scenes we saw. Voice acting was good as well. I would undoubtly buy this game if you ever made it into a fully fledged one- And if you can get this far in just a weekend, you could have quite the game on your hands within a year or two :-) One of the better submissions I've seen so far, for sure.

Thanks for sharing your game - I truly enjoyed it :-)

Descending by pev 2022-04-09T17:08:14Z

Nice idea. Would've loved some sound effects, or at least a bit of music. I had a bit of a hard time understanding how to keep them from going over the edges, as they'd simply 'climb' over them, even though I made them really tall. With some audio feedback, and maybe a bit of UI, this could turn into a fun little game.

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

Wild Mongoose Chase by gglyptodon 2022-04-04T19:18:34Z

Hah, this reminded me of some of those games I played back in the 90s in Windows 3.11 :-)

The gameplay was simple, but very easy to understand. The only thing I didn't really understood was the 'duckling' bonus? I gathered that you got the bonus if you had any living duckings when you died? Felt a bit weird, but maybe that's just me? That didn't ruin the game for me though- I had fun.

Thanks for the Nostalgia rush, and thanks for sharing your game.

Turbo Toilet Tomfoolery! by RonanRory 2022-04-07T20:27:57Z

Based on what you've written in the description (And your post on the frontpage) I'm not sure how much feedback you want, but here goes: First off, I found the idea quite interesting. The controls were frustrating, but not necesarily in a bad way. I mean maybe a bit of tweaking could help, but the whole idea of them was quite nice. Game was hard, which is also good- It was (For me) a bit inconsistent though. For instance, I was stuck in the second level for quite a while (And even bugged through the wall, ending up with pee all over the place), but third and fourth I just breezed through like it was nothing. Sound effects were a bit lacking, but the ones that were there, was spot on. The whole 'ooff' sound was just great, and bumping into the wall next to the door, or into a coworker, almost made it feel like I was the poor guy, running for the toilet, with no time to spare :-) Theme wise, I guess it makes sense. I mean, it's alway inevitable that we need to go number one or two :-)

All in all, I had fun playing - Don't be too hard on yourself with this one, You managed to finish a game, (And one I, for one, had fun with) with gameplay in it- Just think of all the ones that didn't cross the finish line :-)

Anyways... thanks for sharing your game :-)

ENTROPY by LarsDu 2022-04-04T19:13:08Z

Was a bit confused at first, but I think I figured it out. Loved your 'music' was actually quite nice. I think it was quite a unique idea for a puzzle, at least I haven't seen anything exactly like that before, so kudos for that. Oh also, the wind particles; although they were fairly simple they were quite beautiful - Well done.

Thanks for sharing your game.

The End? by michaelaranda 2022-04-07T19:56:15Z

What a great idea, to play both aliens at the same time. It was quite hard to hit with the booster, but in a way, where it felt natural. I imagine playing this two player, would mostly just be fun for the guy doing the boosters, but I guess the intention was for this to be a one player game, which nailed it. It's good training for the coordination skill I guess. Sounds were good, and I liked the graphics - Well done.

Thanks a lot for sharing your game :-)

Click to Continue by Daniel Foutz 2022-04-04T19:03:38Z

haha this was an amazing waste of time (Meant in a good way)! You made me do things, other games won't. Guess I'll keep the details to a minimum, as this shouldn't be spoiled, but man- This was different, simple, and great at the same time :-)

Good Boy eats the treat. by RobbzenOne 2022-04-04T18:43:24Z

First off, love the graphics- And also the fact that when you die, it's actually kinda cute. I managed to survive for 57 seconds, in my best attempt- Was that any good? :-) The map had me once, where I ended up stuck between a platform and a rock- At least that means that doggy won't go hungry.

Anyways, a fun take on an infinite runner, definitely something different, in a good way :-)

Thanks for sharing your game.

Herbert vs Homework by Str8griz 2022-04-06T08:27:01Z

First off - Great humor- The whole intro description was great. Gameplay was decently polished. A few more effects here and there would've been great- Was hard to keep track of when I'd lose 'health' or not, except for looking at the health indicator of course.

I found the sound effects quite good, and fitting to the game. Some of the sound effects felt a bit like they either cut off too soon, or maybe the just ended abrubtly (Or it could've been due to the web-player- I experience weird stuff with that) - Anyways, what I'm getting at; I tend to do a small fadeout (Just a few milliseconds) at the end of audioclips (Usually just edit them in with Audacity) - This way sound won't cut off and sound... well off - If that makes sense? - Anyways I went a bit off topic there I guess :-)

Anyways, the short version: I had fun- Oh and I loved the controller support, I tried it with both- Although Mouse and Keyboard was easier, it was awesome too see controller support as well.

Good job, and thanks for sharing your game :-)

Lumberjack by DAk001 2022-04-07T17:16:58Z

Beautiful artstyle, and nice backstory. After playing a couple of rounds, I got the hang of it, to the point were I felt I could probably gone on for as long as I wanted. The few times I died was because of lack of water and/or fertilizer, but as I said, once I got the hang of it, it was fairly easy to maintain. I never had a ghost set the tree on fire (Although I allowed it to happen, when I decided to quit, as I wanted to see how it worked). Although the gameplay was simple, it captured me long enough to try and get 'good enough' at it. All in all I think this was a quite good submissions - Well done.

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

The Endgame by Daniel Dewaswala 2022-04-04T18:36:41Z

At first glance, the graphics looked quite nice. There were a few artifacts going on, but nothing immersion breaking. Game had a full flow, from start to end, and you can replay, which is always a plus for a Ludum Dare Entry.

The gameplay was okay- The camera placement felt a bit weird to me, but I did manage to figure out how to play. The minimap and the arrow was a nice addition. I must admit that gameplay-wise it was a bit lacking- Nothing a few post jam tweaks can't help.

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

The Assessment by Okamit 2022-04-06T09:21:22Z

I love a good mini game, especially if there's more of them. I really liked how they eventually got... quite hard. The game felt very well polished, and the mini games were self-explanatory (For some of them after a couple of attempts) Also the audio felt just right - All in all a very polished game - Nice job.

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

Global Eggstermination by owca 2022-04-04T19:28:49Z

Very nice game. Managed to get 20k-ish- I had this weird issue where I rotated randomly once in a while though that kinda ruined if for me a bit. Not sure if it was an ingame rotation bug, or something with my mouse and the web client (Although I usually don't have mouse issues) - Apart from that I had a blast- Nice concept, and it felt quite good. Would've loved a reload button (Unless there was one, and I completely missed that)

Thanks a lot, for sharing your game :-)

ENDURACE - Drift Or Die by Phillip Scott 2022-04-07T16:57:41Z

Dang, Either I'm lucky, or there's simply a lot of high quality submissions this time. - This definitely made my top 3, so far. I'm impressed how much you got done- Even when I entered the menu, and saw there were two game modes I was impressed. The gameplay did not dissapoint. Controls felt great, sound effects were quite good, and I was just soo surprised how many details you managed to get in. Lights being smashed, smoke, skitmarks, destroyed cars - Really awesome. The only thing I was missing, was some kind of indicator of how screwed I was (Meaning how damage is my car)- Whether that should be UI, visuals, or a sound effect, I don't really care, but anything would be great- But this is a minor detail, compared to all the stuff you already got in. All in all I loved the look and feel of the game - So very well done!

Thanks a lot for sharing your game, I throughly enjoyed it (And grabbed a download for later use :-) )

ENDURACE - Drift Or Die by Phillip Scott 2022-04-07T17:20:39Z

@phillip-scott Oh I totally missed that. I'm fairly sure I didn't lose my roof, until I died though ('Died' four times so far), but I'll experience it soon enough I guess :-)

Last Life by Bloodbane 2022-04-07T20:12:15Z

Interesting mechanics. It felt a bit slow, especially having to wait for the timer to run out every round. I actually thought the game was broken in the first level, as there at least 20 seconds left when I was done. This was the thing throughout the levels- I had to wait for time to run out. I can't remember how many levels I played (But I feel I got quite far, and to a point where things at least got a bit difficult), but I eventually quick, as I got tired from waiting. Apart from the waiting thing though (Which I know realize took up a huge chunk of this comment), I liked the graphics. Reminded me a bit of a 90s game called Fury of the Furries. I liked the idea of killing baddies, and healing goodies, and the fact you could do both, to both. Overall a nice concept.

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

HoldShit by OldDog 2022-04-04T18:28:23Z

This was.. quite the experience. The idea was no doubt fun- I did manage to get to the end without ever reaching any toilets, so it felt a bit anticlimatic, but apart from that- The idea was fun, and well done. Look and feel was quite good, and the audio fit quite well. The intro was.. well interesting (Although a real voiceover would've been great, in my opinion).

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

speedy student by baily 2022-04-06T08:32:31Z

Very short, but, ey, it's a full game, you can win or lose, so that alone is an accomplishment in these small gamejams :-) Sound effects were there, but the jump effect was quite crazy, as it played for as long as you held the jump button, but these are of course things that can be tweaked post jam.

Would've loved more levels, or greater difficulty. I failed the first time, as I just wanted to explore, but I guess time ran out? I didn't see any timer, or at least nothing updated on screen for me- Anyways, I managed to beat it afterwards, with ease- Sadly no increase in difficulty or extra levels.

Thanks for sharing your game :-)

Whoa! It's like a space game or something! by circle 2022-04-06T08:59:54Z

First off - WOW, you crammed a lot into that game, in a small time - Very well done. I'll try to break things down below, there's quite a lot to comment on.

First off controls- Took me a short while to get used to. Initially I didn't like the mechanic about not being able to move while shooting, but overtime I came to enjoy it, as it was.. well different, from the usual topdown space shooter mechanics. The whole idea of trading and/or mining resources- I'm a sucker for those- So I was hooked even before starting. There are obviously a lot more that can be done to the current system, but suffice it to say, I loved it. Once I got the hang of it, I Basically just moved back and forth between the starter planet (Sorry forgot the name :-( ) and the sun. Mining and selling, while killing off the odd pirate now and then. That was easy money. Now eventually when I felt brave and rich enough, I ventured beyond the portal (Of course with my hold loaded with various goods). I was.. slighlt surprised by the increase in pirates, but luckily I had already skilled up a bit in the 'safer zone', so I managed to dodge/survive, and even skill up quite a lot. Once I hit the 50.000 mark you suggested, I decided to press on, for just a little while longer, and ended the game with over 150.000. I may go back and beat that score, as it is sadly, a bit too easy to make a profit- But again I fully understand that balancing economics (And the AI, and other stuff in your game) is nigh impossible in just 48 hours.

As for the graphics- I loved your artstile for the planets, it was really great, and had a nice mood to it.

I would love to see what this game could evolve into, and would be a good candidate to have some story implemented into it as well, if one wanted to do that.

Anyways- I throughtly enjoyed playing this - So far this is probably the game I enjoyed the most this Ludum Dare, so Thanks a lot for sharing the game, and keep up the good work :-)
