Good music! The graphics are funny, I think you could have put the character turning when changing direction.
I also found it easy, I played about 3 times to see if the difficulty changed, adding more obstacles along the way would be nice.

Okay, first a couple of bugs/issues: I think the timer stops working when you select play again. Why did you choose up and down for the left and right movement? Your jump sound effect plays every frame instead of every time your press jump.
Now, great job finishing the jam! I can definitely relate to forgetting my homework back at the house. I hope you keep making games!
the jump sound was perfect for the click sound and pick up sound. the timer issue is being fixed. the character not being mirrored is a bug that i couldnt figure out how to fix.this is my first ludum dare and im looking forward to seeing all the other games.and i have submitted a copy to coolmathgames so if it gets accepted you will find a link for it above.

It was cute, I don't really understand why up/down control either, for the jump sound it play all the time if you press space continuesly, this can easily be changed but maybe it was your choice ?
Well done for your first ludum dare, finishing a game is always a win for me already
the controls felt better as up and down keys might add more control options the jump sound was just so nice sounding so i picked it for that
Hey! I agree with the previous commenters. One thing I found confusing was that the up/down arrowkeys were used for moving to the left and right.
funnny game, the jumpsound also is repeating very fast for me, which sounds a little loud :')
fixed the timer issue and made the controls better. the jump sound is something that reminds me of old arcade games

Nicely done. When you hold space bar the jump sound gets played over and over again. also I want speedy student 3 :D
i made the jump like that on purpose because it sound funny. im all open to developers who want to create speedy student 2 with me.

nice for a first ld entry, i also encountered some bugs, one of which no one mentioned where you can basically be floating mid air if you go against the side of the second floor near the stairs when you are making the jump across, but overall is cool

a manageable first game, plenty of room for growth.
Well I played it more than once. Was pleased to see a solid game loop. some of the audio was a bit much (the jumping sound was rough). The general idea of collectibles and maneuvering the level is good, can definitely imagine more levels. Finished game, congratulations! Also the artwork is colorful and funky in a good way!

i didnt know how to make a car cross the road.i thought about adding rain which destroys your homework so you cant winso you would need to wait before leaving but i thought it would remove the speedrun aspect which i wanted.

Mechanically sound, seems like it really needs some more levels but it works and has good sound.

Very short, but, ey, it's a full game, you can win or lose, so that alone is an accomplishment in these small gamejams :-) Sound effects were there, but the jump effect was quite crazy, as it played for as long as you held the jump button, but these are of course things that can be tweaked post jam.
Would've loved more levels, or greater difficulty. I failed the first time, as I just wanted to explore, but I guess time ran out? I didn't see any timer, or at least nothing updated on screen for me- Anyways, I managed to beat it afterwards, with ease- Sadly no increase in difficulty or extra levels.

@baily I actually liked the crazy jump sound, but maybe not as jump. Perhaps a speed boost or when turning in the homework pages instead (sort of like gaining xp after battles in a jrpg/score interpolation sound)?
The difficulty was spot on too, something not easy to get right in a jam game. I lost first before figuring out the solution in time and then won after, perfect. I think you just got nailed in the score mostly for lack of game length/obstacle progression.
What did you use to make the music? GJ adding music/sfx. There was some popping/clicking for the loop or replays which you can fix by fading it in quickly at the start/end in Audacity.
My game unfinished so you beat me. Good job picking a small scope.

i made the music in beepbox(a browser music maker) the soundeffects were found online from a free soundeffects website.i would of added more levels but wasted 1 day on a diffrent game about bombs(original game idea)so i didnt want to risk not having finished the game .i would love to see footage of people playing my game so i can see their reaction and stuff.the game is being updated by me and @marianoa213. it will include more levels, bug fixes,character customization and much more. it should come out in a month or 2 so keep an eye out for when i update the game
@p0l4r @nash @coatline @daniel-foutz @very-bad-bunny-studio slight change of plan but im making a spinofff of the game with same graphics and characters from the original game hidden in the map. its gonna involve alien tech and ufos ect. it will be endless so you can calculate your time . it will still be 2d platformer. if there is any devs who want a new project to work on and they use construct 3 pls reply . nothing else to say but keep an eye out for any news about it :)
