Nice game with a fun core mechanic, fits the theme perfectly, i know everyone pointed that out but it lacks some SFXs
A good job overall, Keep it up!
A great game, nothing bad to say about it
Really fun and challenging game, mechanics are clean and fit very well together It's probably just an opinion but i think the music isn't that good
Honestly this is the best LD49 game i've played so far
- Mechanics are simple and incredibly fun to play with - Graphics are gorgeous - Audio is a bit buggy on the web version but awesome - The game fits the theme perfectly
Maybe some more UI feedback wouldn't hurt and the auto harvest makes everything too easy too soon but it's still an awesome game, Good job!
Keep it up!
potion seller, i'm going into battle and i want only your strongest potions
A really nice game overall. Usually this type of games feel very static and boring but you managed to make it interesting with the enemies, the timer and the ingredients characteristics ( i managed to write that first try wow ).
Good job! Keep it up!
***A really nice game with fun mechanics and fittings SFXs***
The only issue is the **lack of unicity** in the monsters: _with the only exception being the vampire_, the monsters type or race don't really matter at all, they're pretty much the same; the vampire instead makes you think twice, his """"""passive"""""" makes him unique
Maybe some post-jam updates with **skill trees**, different **maps** which change the grid and add permanent objects ( for example an hell map with volcanos that erupt and burn near enemies ) and some sort of **campaign gamemode** to make the game much longer
The game is really good and ,with some polishing and a huge update, could become a great commercial game
Keep the good work up!
This is the most cursed game i've ever seen but good job
Really fun game overall but i felt disappointed: i heard that fire soundtrack and expected some dope sfx; instead nothing :( even sounds made with sfxr could make this 100 times better The idea is there and the game is fun. Keep it up.
Fun game but would probably be better with more enemies and weapons
Nice style and sound design
Keep it up!
A really nice fun game with a challenging mechanic that fits the game very well. Level design and SFXs is optimal; the only thing i can point out is that the shadow mechanics are pretty awkard
A really mind-engaging game with fitting mechanics; maybe you could have used the enviroment a bit more than just for the piece of paper ( maybe some keys on a shelf or smt )
A really good job, Keep it up!
The potion-throw mechanic was fun, SFXs are decent and graphics are fitting ( maybe the title screen is a bit static but that's not that big of an issue ) It's kinda weird how the potion accelerates when you try to drag it but you can get the hang of it.
Good job, Keep it up!
Not a really challenging game but a nice one overall
A very cool game with no big issues apart from the graphic ones: Having always a square that rises perfectly perpendicular as a shape for all the particles effect is kinda odd, the game feels a bit static ( maybe some grass swaying with the tress would be cool ) and the clouds on the ground are awkard
Apart from the graphic the game is really good and fun to play with
A really fun game with interesting mechanics, nice graphics, great SFXs and a fitting music The only thing that i must point out is the capsule launching mechanic which is pretty hard to aim with
Overall an incredibly good game
A really good game with some flaws that take the goodness away, sadly :/
For fast writers, the writing sound doesn't overlap but instead suddendly stops and starts again, which is pretty ear-shattering ( lowering the volume to 0 and renounce the music would have killed the mood of the game )
If you notice an error at the start of the phrase you have to click multiple times backspace instead of keeping the button pressed and having the whole phrase deleted, it gets to personal preference but it was frustrating to me
Lastly, the game ( apart from the writing ) is terribly static and can sometimes catch your attention ( it's not that immersive )
Overall a really good game that, with improvements, could become a masterpiece, Good job! Keep it up!
The game is good but there are some improvements that could be made; here are the things that i noticed the most:
-The game graphic would be bad but the post processing make it nice. Good job! -Some options would be great, you could change volume, graphics, resolution and most importantly mouse sens: i think that's pretty important in a shooter game -If you jump into inclined objects you get stuck instead of falling down
I think something like a timer or some other system of reward/progression would be great: right now you have braindead enemies that you can kill by braindeadly spamming your mouse. Maybe a timer would push you to perfectly match the red bar to get momentum? With some updates this can become a great game. Keep it up
p.s. sorry if the comment got compressed and is hard to read
A nice lil experience overall
Nice game overall, nice to see and fun to play
I saw your comment under @meansquarederror video and decided to give your game a shot
This game has a terrible ton of potential but is pretty blank right now ( can't blame you, you have just a few days to make it ), here's some improvements that could be made:
- **More diversity in weapons:** The game was getting pretty awkard but then i saw a different type of gun, had my burst of serotonin with it and then realized those were the only 2 guns, which made me pretty sad :(. - **More details:** I like the simple graphics but they were also pretty blank; maybe just some grass, some shadows or more noticeable particles could make the trick and make the game much better. - **More enemies:** Maybe some variations of the zombie: fast ones, big strong slow ones, ranged ones ecc. - **gg ez:** Maybe there should be some way to get HP back to your house; right now once you lose a point it's gone forever.
Noticed how i used the word **More** so much? that's what i mean by _" the game is blank "_
Leaving the work that you could do, here are some things that i liked :)
- Screen shake was optimal and fitted perfectly. - SFXs are great. - The AI is less braindead than i thought it would be.
I **highly** suggest you work on this game even **after the game jam** _(if you have the motivation obviously)_, this can become a masterpiece
***Keep the good work up!***
A fun short game with nice fitting graphics and sfx, with some improvements that could be made: took some time to even realize there was a bar with icons on the bottom left, the flat colors without some 2D lights was quite bad to see and with the dash spell you can clip through walls
Overall a nice game
huhh.PNG
***A short but overall nice game***
The game was really short, the controls felt smooth but **it lacked some things that should absolutely be there**
Here are some: - **UI:** There's not enough visual feedback and _some UI would help a lot_ - **Graphics:** The style is nice to see but _it blends everything_ in an awkard manner, making the playthrough difficult; some more _saturated props_ would really help - **Polishing:** This game would become 10 times better with just some _polishing_
Some **graphics updates**, **post processing** and **UI** and the game would much better, but i'm sure you worked hard on it anyways so _Good Job!_
Keep it up!
really coollll game, i love the artstyle
A really fun little game with interesting mechanics, fitting audio and nice level design.
It can be a little frustrating at times but it's okay.
Keep the good work up!
Thank you @alan001 @thatanonoword @0darkandnerdy for the feedbacks! I'm looking forward to improving the game after the jam, all the comments will be taken in consideration
@diccuric-sigeon That's a pretty high score ngl, i can't get myself past 110
Thank you @orangutanrider @chainsawmcd @totteriludum @ericfreeman @mejzlosh @the-neon-shark for the feedback!
@pdotjpg Thank you for the feedback!
@proxy-games Yeah i noticed that bug i don't know if i can update the game i made for the jam so i'm just gonna fix that bug in the updated version you can find in the other link; Thanks for playing the game!
@meansquarederror Thank you very much for playing the game! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@bruno-molteni @thewustache Thank you for the feedback! I actually already fixed the spamming problem, it's in an update coming soon ( not out yet ) on the other link you can find above the original one.
@afells Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it
@cannashblue Thanks for playing my game! I will definitely make it a mobile game once i finish adding the gamemodes
@jaybaus Thank you for playing the game! I'm glad you enjoyed it
Congratulations on your highscore!
@nikiroz Thank you for playing the game! I tried to prevent the "iPlaceEverythingInTheCenterStrategy" by adding random sized shapes but that didn't really seem to work :/
In the updated version ( which you can find in the link above btw ) there will be difficulties, gamemodes and core mechanics changes, such as the much requested placing timer and the "placing zone", to make the game a bit more challenging and much longer
For all the beta players out there i'll add the options to disable the features that may make the game too hard
Thank you @taboo-chris @zeilanda @ideaspersecond for playing the game!
This gives me "This is the only level" kind of vibes, i like it! Fitting graphics and sound design, good job!
Keep it up!
The controls are a bit awkward, but after you get used to it, it becomes pretty fun! Nice graphics and SFXs
Good job!
A really cool game, liked the story and the music. Good job!
A really great entry! probably would have been better with some Audio and SFXs, but otherwise this is an awesome game with an engaging, well accomplished mechanic!
Fun little game with nice graphics and responsive controls but maybe the inevitable is a bit too much inevitable
A really cool little game with awesome graphics and audio, everything fit together really well
At first i was having a little bit of trouble but i shortly realized that i could just go past through all of the level design and just fly everywhere i need by smashing my mouse without having to get the oxygen back as spam jumping consumes only a little
I can't really say if the game was too easy or too hard; at first it was hard but once i figured how the mechanics work i just went through every level in a matter of seconds without sweating that much
@angiemon I tried that, the game became a bit too hard as the jumping mechanic can be a bit awkard at times, but even by playing like that i basically never worried about the oxygen; maybe it should run out faster or get consumed more by the jumps
Nice little game, i like the doom-like pov
I think right now the game as it is is incredibly cool, with awesome graphics, SFXs and Keybinds placements
I would love to see a bigger version of this game, with more things to do ( and possibly different keybinds for planting/watering ), kinda like a 16-bit top down version of Hay Day; It would probably be one of these games that i spend days just because they're incredibly pleasing to the mind and the eyes
An incredibly good and polished game, with fun mechanics and an amazing gameplay loop. Impressive how you guys managed to finish this in such a short time.
One of the best entries i've seen so far
A really cool little game, fits the theme perfectly, had a couple laughs thank you
The game itself is pretty good, the graphics are really nice and it looks like a finished game, but aiming is a bit awkward and I think killing zombies should be a bit more satysfying; right now they're more of a pain in the *** than an enemy.
Otherwise, a nice entry. Good job!
I loved this game, it gave me "Emily is away" vibes, which i really like; the little games are a great touch to entertain you while you wait for the messages without breaking the game pacing
SFXs and graphics are awesome and it's a really polished game considering the time costraints
Good job!
A great game with a nice gameplay loop and really repetitive SFXs. After a while i realized that the best way to survive was by just smashing my mouse and keeping my ground in the top left corner. I managed to get a score of 18974 this way and dropped only because my hand was dying.
Other than that, a really good entry! Good job!
Great game with clean mechanics and a fun gameplay loop! Also amazing level design. Good Job!
Really cute little game with nice graphics and music, probably would have had a better game play loop if it had a score or something.
One little bug i found: sometimes the objects you pick just go under the terrain and straight into the volcano, which is very handy but a bit weird
A really good entry! the mechanics are great and the gameplay loop is awesome. It's a bit awkward how after some time ships literally never stop coming and it becomes humanly impossible to clear the trash: maybe the inevitable should be a lit less inevitable. Other than that, a great game!
I think the game itself it's pretty fun but would probably be 1000000 times better with some **particles**, to make the shooting, smashing and zombie deaths **more satisfying**
The graphics and the SFXs are incredibly good, the gameplay loop is fun and addicting!
Only thing to note: once the enemy gets far behind, it starts to shield everytime he can: this leads to him falling a lot behind and in a guaranteed win ( once he does, he can't nitro boost and i can just combust him to death )
A really cool game with a really fun gameplay ( i just love tower defense game, i grew up with BTD ) but with an awkard bug: 2 levels after the greek map ( i don't remember which was it exactly, haven't counted them) i started getting only 1 point at the start of every level, making it impossible to place any "turrets"; i tried going back to the main menu, back into the campaign mode and now even the first levels just gave me 1 point, making me unable to even place the first god.
Apart from that i really liked the game
The art style was amazing, SFXs were great and the gameplay loop is fine, although i think the compass mechanic feels a bit awkward to play with
Overall a great experience. Good Job!
At first, i thought this was a game about Simo Häyhä, but i wasn't that much disappointed afterall The graphics and SFXs are lovely and the game feels responsive. It fits the theme but there's not a lot to do here, maybe some other interactions would have been cool
I love the simple graphics and amazing music, a simple concept accomplished well
A fine entry with some easy to fix problems that could make the game 100% better
I think the art style is **lovely** and the color palette pretty **clear**, but i think the room would be infinitely better with some lightning: right now everything has an **unlit material**, which means it doesn't react to light; in fact, it doesn't even need light cause you can see everything clearly. Some **torches attached** to the wall could add some **shadows** and diversity in the scene, making it look a bit more "professional"
I also think the game needs more visual feedback for what's happening on the screen, so more particles, screen shake and maybe even animations. I didn't even realize curses could damaged you until the very end for the lack of SFXs and/or particles.
SFXs are fine, they fit the game pretty well but i think the music becomes really repetitive in the long run.
The gameplay loop is great but there are some strategies that make the game infinite and easy to beat; i managed to get 450 points by just standing near a corner and spamming melee attacks; eventually, if my HP got low, i just ran around and collected the orbs on the ground.
**** Some work could be done, but overall a nice entry
@daniel-foutz well this is awkard, i was just browsing around and i saw you, i think this is the first time i see someone with the same exact profile picture as mine
A really fun game with interesting mechanics and a great gameplay loop! SFXs are great the the ambience is too
Noticed 2 weird things tho: - If you're aiming the jump and accidentally move your cursor outside of the game's window you jump instantly - If in the second phase you catch a fly and die, the fly just gets yeeted away
Overall an amazing game. Good job!
A really polished game with fun mechanics, great SFXs and nice graphics. Good job!
@arfilish Thank you for you feedback!
@goat Thank you for your feedback! I wanted to write that in the tutorial but I simply forgot, i realized that only after the deadline
I can't really make a direct update so i just wrote it on the game's page
@teddyreid Thank you for your feedback! Yeah i'm really bad at teaching the player how to do things, i should absolutely look out for that trap the next LD.
The weapon thing was intended, i tried to give the player some really easy to use weapons ( such as the assault rifle and the machine gun ) and some harder ones with a low firing rate, requiring you to think really quickly at where to shot; but yeah, maybe the difference in difficulty is a bit extreme, definetly going to fix that in the **Post jam update** that i'm absolutely going to release!
@anaxie-studio Thank you for your feedback!
@bottled-up-dark-peace Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately I had things to do that ate my time, and the game shows: It's clearly unpolished and would be 100 times better if everything ( tutorial included ) was more clear and easy to understand.
I honestly didn't think about changing the bullet models/colors/trails or something to distinguish the enemies and weapons, that would have been a great idea, i'm probably going to add it in the updated post jam version, which is coming soon.
Yeah i figured out the spawn kill, fix's coming in the updated version
@immanentdeath Thank you for your feedback!
Jesus f**king christ that's a lot of points
@0x-void-x0 Thank you for your feedback!
@damedevy Thank you for your feedback!
@conduit-games Thank you for your feedback! Yeah I saw that problem a lot, I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen in my next games
@darriasart Thank you for your feedback!
@angiemon Thank you for your feedback! Yeah right now everything is very unclear and you kinda have to guess things, going to patch that soon in the post jam version!
@locke8 Thank you for your feedback!
@smdg Thank you for your feedback! I'm going to make sure to tone it down a little!
@debone Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, as @eyedromeda mentioned doors should close once you enter a new room. Fixing it soon!
@eyedromeda Thank you for your feedback! I think by HP you mean the timer; I wanted to let the player keep the weapon, but I had some troubles with the [PlayerPref](https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/PlayerPrefs.html) class and couldn't figure out a way to fix the bugs before the deadline. I managed to fix it now so, in the new patch ( more updates about that on the post i'm going to make soon ), you're going to be able to keep the weapon!
>The enemy bullets are really hard to spot. They’re the same color as the player’s bullets and the hit effects that fly everywhere. The amount of screen shake also makes them hard to spot.
Yeah I've read a lot of things like that, the game is very unclear and needs polishing.
@misfire-dev Thank you for your feedback!
As I mentioned a lot of times in my comments, a **new patch** is coming out, and is scheduled for release **this week**!
Here's a quick list of all the things that are going to change - **Clearance**: A lot of you said the game isn't clear enough: in this patch, **screen shake** will be toned down a lot and the **enemies will get distinct features** that make them distinguishable ( I wrote that first try wow ) - **Lootboxes**: The lootbox system will get a big **overhaul**, that will divide them in 2 distinct collectables: **Lucky boxes** and **Coins**! The first ones will either give you a random weapon or a random buff, such as **bonus** speed, health, time and more! Coins will instead just pump your score up and give you a little extra time! - **Rooms**: Right now you can just kind of run to the sides, become immortal and achieve inhuman scores: now the rooms will **lock** until all enemies in the area are **defeated** - **Tutorial**: This time i will put the player through a series of easy challenges to teach them the basic of the game: no more walls of text that you must read, I promise! - **Gameplay**: right now, the gameplay consists in an infinite loop of killing braindead red triangles in the same square room; Enemy stats are going to get tweaked a little, room generation system will get a small rework and ( either in this patch or in another one ) **Bosses** will get added! I'm thinking of a **bullet hell** type of bossfight, so look out for that!
Changes are coming in quickly, so if you would like a balance change or a new gameplay feature/mechanic be sure to write it somewhere!
Until next time
@flaterectomy Thank you for your feedback! If these are the problems you found, you'll be happy to hear that all of them are getting fixed in the update! I had a bug with the camera and i had to zoom it in, but in the new patch it's fixed!
I fixed everything expect the music, i'm incredibly bad at making music and i still have to learn.
@aka-black-dog Thank you for your feedback!
@gullyngames Thank you for your feedback! I also got that feedback a lot, i'm going to add a pitch randomizer to make the sound less repetitive
@sammot Thank you for your feedback! Idk if some weird bug happened to your game but when i play, the hp bar always works fine; Remember that the big white bar is not the hp bar, it's only a timer!
@boaromayox Thank you for your feedback!
A really fun game that keeps you glued to the screen for quite a lot of time! Good Job!
Small bug i found: after 17 turns i just couldn't act at all and was forced to restart.
A really cool moody game, fun mechanics and incredibly good art, nothing bad to say
Incredibly good game! The killing was really satysfying, the art was gorgeous and the SFXs well made! It has a lot of replay value that makes it even better as a whole!
The only thing i must point out was the rolling: i was a bit disappointed when i noticed there were no particles for the rolling, i was really looking forward to it lol
A fun game with nice mechanics and a great gameplay loop
SFXs were amazing. Good Job!
The hitboxes and the camera placement is pretty awkward but overall a nice game. Good job!
A really cool game, had fun while playing it but it had some problems - **Laggy**: for obvious reasons the game becomes really laggy really fast - **Strategy**: the increasing number of enemies to increase the difficulty is cool, but it has some weird interactions with the rail gun: i've come to the conclusion that the best way to play until your game crashes is to get as many railguns ( and eventually, bazookas ) as humanly possible; once the waves become enormous, those 2 weapons will eventually pierce through every single one of them, giving you a lot of xp(?) orbs which will make you basically immortal ( you gain 100% hp when you lvl up ) - **Map** the game is cool and all but it probably would have been cooler if it had some premade maps with some props you can play around; right now the only strategy is the one i wrote before. Maybe with some premade maps you could play around entrances or walls or something.
Now, the things i liked :) - The game is really **addicting** - Levelling up is **satisfying** - The art style is **simple**
Last thing i must note: the audio is weird; i mean, it sounds good, but if you have a lot of orbs around you and go to the main menu the sounds get played in the menu; also, for some reason after 2 or 3 "plays" the audio suddendly disappears
The game is fun, the graphics themselves are ok but would probably benefit a lot from having something in the background behind the city other than the eternal void. The voice lines of the reaper which he says sometimes when killing someone are perfect
Incredible game, had a ton of fun playing it
The visuals are great, the gameplay loop is engaging, interesting and fun and the music is nice. Overall an amazing game
Even though the art style is amazing and the change of soundtrack when the scarecrow gets near is perfect, i must admit that the controls are a bit confusing and the scarecrow is more frustrating than scary
Fun little game, the sounds are a bit clunky but overall nice, would have loved to be able to group soldiers and select them by group like in stronghold
Amazing game with a ton of replay value, fantastic soundtrack and fun mechanics. The leaderboard sure does push you into pressing that "retry" button, which is a thing a lot of games lack.
I must admit tho, maybe the wall of text at the start of the game isn't really the best thing.
fun little game but i think losing everything you bought every season is disappointing since potatoes take so long to grow
I kinda laughed when i heard the TTS voice, but afterall it is a nice addition. The graphics and the sounds are nice, the game overall is fun. It's a bit underwhelming how ultimately, in the bird scene, the easiest way to scare them away is leaving both torches at the bottom, same position, and just walk around
idk why i can't rate the game but i think that the visuals are nice and the soundtrack great, although i must admit that the game felt more like a tutorial
Fun little game, the graphics are great and the sounds nice. Apart from the eye-annihilating chromatic aberration this is overall a nice game.
Incredibly fun and engaging concept, the mechanics are awesome and the gameplay feels smooth and good to speedrun. The only thing i can complain about is the rasterized font, which is hard to read
Really nice little game, the atmosphere is fantastic and the gameplay nice. The only thing i can complain about is the z-fighting between the player and some sprites. Overall a great game
@lucas-guichard @hfsevans @goldenxd @maytch @nougato @drawrunner
Thanks to everyone for playing my game!
Graphics and sound were great even though the combat could have been better if the player had more actions to do instead of just moving. Overall a nice game
A fun little game, the mechanics are simple and easy to understand, even though the game itself is pretty challenging.
The ending though is a bit anti climatic and the footsteps feel a little strange without any head bobbing, but overall a nice game
The game overall is well made and very fun, but the progressing is a bit awkard: enemies were challenging but i honestly thought the dragon was just a first boss and not the final one since i was able to defeat it by simply standing in a corner and spamming with my sword. All things considered, it's a great game
Oh my god this game is amazing, i would love to see more of this with different tracks. Nothing bad to say, i like everything about it.
A really nice little game, maybe the field part could have had a bit more importance, but overall i had a ton of fun with the mechanics
A really fun and well made game, had a good couple of laughs. The graphics and the audio are lovely, the gameplay is nice. Good Job!
The game is quite fun, the gameplay loop is great and the animations/camera work is lovely; I have only 2 complatins.
- The walking sound is ear-shattering - Major bug: you don't need to pick the right 3 boxes, you can just keep taking one of the three until the quest is completed; I managed to finish the game in under 5 minutes by doing this
Overall a nice game, the mechanics are good and the game looks and sounds great. The game although, gets a bit repetitive without a clear objective. I would have loved something like a scoreboard or costraint to make the game more challenging.
It's crazy how intense a simple game like this can be, really shows you how far simplicity goes with good design. Overall a nice game, had tons of fun with it. Good Job!
yay.PNG
__YOU DELIVERED 0 PARCELS, GOOD JOB!__ _incredibly epic music starts playing_
Had a good laugh for the unexpected ending, honestly didn't understand the game at first but after that I had quite some fun. The difficulty ramping is quite unbalanced.
TL;DR A really nice and fun game, would love to see updates.
The audio was nice but I must admit that the SFXs get a bit annoying when you get deeper into the game
The graphics are lovely, everything looks really nice
The gameplay loop is really fun at first but gets a bit repetetive in the end when you realize there's really nothing more for you to do
Overall a nice game, It kept me attached to the screen for quite some time. Good Job!
Overall a really nice game, had a ton of fun with it. My only complaint is the same as the comment above, it lacks an incentive to hurry. Graphics and SFXs are lovely, Good job!
@nanixdev @niclee @tyegamedev @mals @adam-jenness Thank you for playing the game!
@adan1032 finally someone mentioned it, that video was all of my inspiration lmao
Loovely graphics and audio, the gameplay feels nice and the game looks great. Good job!
Should have won game of the year award
Really liked this game, the mechanics are simple yet they make for an interesting game. Graphics and audio were also nice.
Overall a really nice game, I love the idea of being a helping hand instead of fighting directly the enemies. The gameplay loop is fine and the graphics/sfxs are great. Good Job!
Overall a nice game, the attack mechanic is a bit clunky but you can work around it. I've never been so scared in my life by a lightning-fast zombie. Good Job!
Overall a nice game, the attack mechanic is a bit clunky but you can work around it. I've never been so scared of a lightning-fast zombie in my life. Good Job!
would have loved to play this but it keeps giving me a blue screen of death everytime I try to open it
A really nice thought-provoking game, really original. The graphics and the SFXs were alright, had some fun with it. Good job!
really really nice, fun and engaging game! I love the mood. Nothing bad to say, nice level design, interesting mechanics and great feel.
Incredibly fun to play! I'm all out for vampire survivors style games, and this one does it's job really really well. Collecting points is a bit underwhelming, but overall it's an amazing game considering the time costraints. Good job!
lovely game that fits the theme. the camera follow makes the movement a bit hard, which is itself a bit tough. apart from that. it's a nice game.
Love everything about it, the graphics, the sound, the gameplay. When wally disappeared I felt a chill down my spine.
Incredibly cool game, it's challenging but not so hard that it becomes frustrating, just in the right spot. It also looks and sounds very nice. Good job!
Overall it's an ok vampire survivor like game, a genre which (I'm just starting to notice) saturates this website for some reason? I didn't really feel like I had any control whatsoever. I just prayed that the tiny things would go in the right spot to deal damage where I needed, but the only thing I myself could do was run away from enemies and spam abilities, which were in the middle between being the main source of damage and an extra bonus you get every now and then, without feeling like neither. In the end I think this is the main issue I had with the game. The camera prediction movement is a bit vomit inducing and some ui sfxs get a bit annoying. The game looked really good and sounded ok. Good job.
(also I don't know if I'm missing something but the dancers, which are supposed to orbit, just don't orbit? Is it a bug?)
Love the music and the graphics. The game is fun and encourages you to try other characters and items. I had a weird bug where if you went from the level select screen to the main menu the music would start again and stack multiple times.
@shakirovich @smothbreen @gerrit @captainzo Thank you for playing the game!
@mullenratte sadly the stronk bot has many problems caused by the way the barrels and batteries themselves work. The only working way to make them unmovable was making them incredibly heavy, and that brought many bugs. The bug of the stronk bot happens when you grab something while standing really close to it, probably because the bot collides with it and, since it's really heavy in the physics simulation, he can't move in that direction. Most bugs of the stronk bot (and the alt tab music bug) are known and I may fix them shortly in a post-ld release. The indicator for shooting objects is a nice idea and I'll probably add it soon :) thanks for playing the game!
@mrantoinest @wesel @kirby-borgir Thank you for playing the game!
@valmontechno I've never encountered that stretch bug, do you remember how it happened? The player was also supposed to be a bot but due to problems I had with Z-fighting in the model making process I wasn't able to fix everything in time, so he remained a cube :c also Thank you for playing the game!
@zappablamma I'll keep that in mind for the next LD. Thank you for playing the game!
@dmitrygalias Thank you for playing the game!
@stmate03 Wait, I've never encountered that arrow bug before, would you mind telling me how to replicate it? also thank you for playing the game
I'm adding a list of bugs I'm aware of and I know why they happen. If you find a bug that is NOT on the list, please write how that bug happened and how I may replicate it so that I can continue developing and fixing this game. Thank you in advance.
- Basically every bug with the Stronkbot. This incluedes clipping (both objects and with other bots), inconsistent throw force, weird interactions with the objects you pick up (can't move, fly) and more. That bot is a living hell. - The arrow stretching with the stretchbot. - The landing particles appearing at the wrong time when you select a bot you deselected before landing - The button has weird interactions with the Stretchbot state. - Can't jump on some things. - When tabbing out, another track starts playing. - Moving towards a wall while falling prevents you from doing so.
i honestly have no idea on how to play this
the mood and immersion this games gives with it's music and art is just beautiful and mechanic is innovative. a little more clarity on how much longer you can stay alive would be nice but overall i had a nice experience.
Nice game but for some reason the UI didn't work at all for me.
nice game. the waypoint system is a bit wanky at times.
Really nice and immersive puzzle game, I liked it. The soft locking is a bit frustrating though.
Overall it's an ok vampire survivors style game. It kinda fits the theme? Maybe more work on some areas like graphics, feel and enemies would have made this game wonders but I understand that the time is limited and you do what you can do. In the end I think you did a good job.
