Nice game! The menu was really fun lol. The game concept was very creative. Well done!

Haha, the intro screen is awesome, so high marks for humor even though I'm guessing it's an asset you found since you opted out on graphics?
Anyway, the game is fun and it feels great to shoot the zombies. The shooter mechanics work well and I think the basic game loop of feeding the fire and fighting baddies is a fun idea. I did feel like there was a bit of a lack of direction though--at some point the zombies stopped coming and I had to go out into the woods to find them, which felt a bit odd. I also was a bit confused by the inclusion of the pistol since it felt like the rifle was just better in general and my ammo was unlimited.
Still, I had a good time shooting zombies and I thought it was fun entry, so great job!
@polymathld Thanks man! Appreciate it! essentially we just ran out of time, we wanted to add ammo, reloading, etc... Glad you thought it was fun though! Thanks
Nice concept, keep developing the game!
I've seen a lot of games that fit the theme via fire, or fit the theme via zombies. Pretty funny that you did both!
Zombies 🧟♂️ always fit the theme :) Nice entery !
fun to play but u guys must add volume and sensivity option
The idea and visual are great but it's too slow due to bad optimization. it turned out the game is unplayable
The gameplay is really fun, it's a handful juggling between the fire and the zombies, you really feel like your doom is inevitable indeed. Pressing e to drop wood is a bit awkward though, maybe a right click would feel nicer ? Also I'm not sure why I should ever use the pistol instead of the rifle ?
It was fun at first but once I cleared out all of the zombies in the immediate area around the fire and they didn't keep coming after me it got really easy and fairly boring. I did love the thriller dance in the main menu although if this wasn't a game jam I think that would have been better as an easter egg you need to find.
Ok, great game but is there mouse smoothing on the aiming ? Aiming just feels off...
I still like it tho
Nice Game, Only problems being trees clipping through floor and aiming being hard because the screen move cinematically.
I was a little let down by this game, the visuals look really good and the concept seemed solid enough. A few things got in the way of enjoyment for me, most notably the controls. I really disliked the floatiness of movement and aiming. The tutorial screen was missing the mousewheel hint for changing weapons so the first time i was running around shooting trees with the pistol, wondering what I was supposed to be doing.
Wasn't sure why i would want to use the pistol over the rifle. I was able to deposit wood from any distance by pressing E, that may be a bug. For some reason the zombies were incessantly chasing me on my first run but left me alone for minutes on the second run, it made me wonder if there is an element of stealth I didn't know about?
@poshdan @ghost-wave @jogy34 @foxrise I agree with a lot of what you have all said and would love for you to retry the game, I made some adjustments to the aiming, the enemy spawning, and optimizations it should (hopefully) feel a lot better now!
Ahhh a FPS game, and a cool looking one at that! Good work! My poor laptop struggled a bit with the graphics, but I'm not sure if that made it easier or harder. Totally didn't notice the fire first time I spawned and I was like "What am I supposed to do with all this wood" and then I froze to death. Oops.
Heeey, well done. This was fun to play. Ended up calling it quits around the 10 minute mark after figuring out I could just run around hitting the trees for one strike each and all the zombies would just pack into one giant conga line that was easy to avoid - but this was a great little gameplay loop. Had some framerate issues but nothing game breaking. Excellent stuff!
Fun. Space to sprint please.
Great game! Very well done! Would be nice to be able to switch to specific weapons using 1,2,3 as well.
I didnt expected that zombies in menu will start dancing. Game play is easy but interesting. Well done
Can confirm, feels better to control now after the patch
Made it to 4:29. Nice take on the theme. Had fun playing it on stream.
Shooting zombies and chopping wood was a suprising combination for me :) The game could use some polishing (like most jam games :D ) but it was fun. Thanks!
A fun and interesting combination with gathering + zombie waves. Liked the art style and the lighting, made for a great mood.
The game itself is pretty good, the graphics are really nice and it looks like a finished game, but aiming is a bit awkward and I think killing zombies should be a bit more satysfying; right now they're more of a pain in the *** than an enemy.
Otherwise, a nice entry. Good job!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!

Great intro! I love the variations in zombies look. Nice sound effects and snow effect. Making FPS for LD is quite ambitious. Good job!
Well, I died after the fire went out and the zombies kept on kicking me. I guess you can flog a dead horse!
The audio, visuals and mood were thoroughly enjoyable. I think the fireplace mechanic could have used a bit more work. I died because the fireplace went out, but I think that should have had some type of "warmth mechanic" so that you wouldn't just die when the fire dies, but you would have needed to stay by the fire to keep warm. I'm also not sure where and how to get the firewood, so that's on me as well.
Like @conroy said, my game and yours are somewhat each others 2D and 3D counterparts. Oh, and your fireplace mechanic reminds me of another older LD entry of mine.
