So fun and polished ! Couldn't figure out why certain moves that would put be in arm's way were forbidden while some others were allowed and resulted in my king being taken though
It's absolutely gorgeous ! Love the dynamic music, gameplay gets a bit repetitive but it's quite okay for a short game like that, really sweet and touching experience
It's really absurd and really fun ! I would have liked to be able to control with the arrow keys though, and I had to start the game again to figure out how to launch the broom again, so a reminder of the controls in the pause menu would be nice
Fun take on the "snooze" idea, it quickly gets reaaaally hard though, a bit frustrating
Ahah, wasn't expecting the ending, pretty funny :)
Really nice art and music, gameplay is nice but it isn't very clear when does a run start and when does it end, sometimes it seems like you lost but the elements you placed before are still there, I'm not sure when is dying part of the run and does it reset the game
Fun concept ! Has mentionned you can just jump off the edge though, also game didn't load for me when pressing play after opening the manual, I had to restart it
Nice concept, very fun and satisfying ! Art is simple put effective and the music is pretty nice too. I think a difficulty a bit more progressive would make the game more enjoyable, or maybe if cooldowns were a bit shorter. As it stands you're overwhelmed really quickly, which feats the theme well but makes the game a little bit too short without really a possibility to get better
This was an amazing experience. The art is simple yet really beautiful, the music is great, the camera work is outstanding, and the poem... All in all a very touching short story really well executed, I'll definitely check out more of your work ! Is "chromatic window" a recurrent Game jam team that you guys make up, or are you an indie studio ?
Pretty fun and challenging to try and manage everything at once, really keeps you busy
Fun concept and art style is nice, that the minigames either don't score enough points to make anything or a wayyy too hard, it made me impossible for me to get any points. Also I missed how you're supposed to get artifacts ?
The gameplay is really fun, it's a handful juggling between the fire and the zombies, you really feel like your doom is inevitable indeed. Pressing e to drop wood is a bit awkward though, maybe a right click would feel nicer ? Also I'm not sure why I should ever use the pistol instead of the rifle ?
Wow this is so cool, really impressive and beautiful !
The music is really nice and the graphics are simple but create a pretty good atmosphere. Gameplay is a bit repetitive though especially as you go further and further away from the fire. Ending cutscene is gorgeous ! Although I had no other way to quit after that than alt + f4
That's pretty good ! This really nicely creates a feeling of routine and of holding on for dear life, music contributes to it a lot. It would benefit from having minigames that are separately more interesting (although the sleeping one is pretty cool). Also I think it would be more fun it time gauge was decreasing a bit slower but with more punitive minigames
The art is gorgeous ! Music is pretty nice but a bit slow, doesn't really match the gameplay. All in all this was pretty fun, but the arrow keys didn't work for me making it a bit more difficult
That's pretty impressive ! The mechanics are well introduced and easy to understand, the feeling of the teleportation is great, all in all this leaves me wanting more, I can totally see myself playing this for quite a few more levels :D Just one thing, is it on purpose that the switch on the bottom of the last level is totally unecessary ? You can just use the inertia to push a box withing the laser range
Pretty nice ! Like the UI that allow death to taunt you for the whole thing, also the switching up of the things that you have to avoid is really fun ! Too bad it doesn't have an unlimited scoring mode though and that the game doesn't actually tell you which afterlife you're going to get according to your score. But all in all it was pretty fun !
That was awesome, soooo funny, and the voice acting is amazing ! Reminds me a bit of Stanley Parable
That's quite fun ! Playing with different dictionaries is a nice touch, and the pauses of the wizard are hilarious. Difficulty hits you a little bit too suddenly (in all the runs I made, once I lost 1 life I lost the other two right away). Also I had a bit of trouble locating the start button the first time
Great concept ! The story is fun and the art is pretty cool, however the combats aren't much fun and get a bit tedious, you end up being impatient of the gameplay bit being over to see the next cut scene. Went to level 15 and I don't have the patience to try again to see where the story goes after that (especially since it doesn't fill like I can get good at the game, it feels like it boils down to getting lucky and get a round where the hero doesn't feel like attacking), but it was definetely going in an interesting direction
Really fun ! The art style is really cute, the music and sound effects really sell the "fighting game" gag really well, and the moves are stupidly fun. Very cool !
Aww, I knew this jam would probably have some sad games, but still :s. Great story and metaphor, starting and passing dialogs by clicking would have been more intuitive I think (would have prevented me from exiting the game to figure out how to start it anyway)
It's really great ! The time system reminds me of Superhot, and it goes really well with ricochet mecanic
Good idea, and a lot of content to go through ! Using a prophecy as the inevitable thing to delay is pretty neat
The music is really great and the art is simple but works quite well. Gameplay is fun but the totems seem very weak, to the point that I'm not even sur which does which effect
Really nice art and music ! It's a shame that it cuts abruptly when starting a "minigame" though, it takes you out of the experience a bit. Also using another font would give more personality to the texts, especially since it's the first thing you see in this game
Love the art style and having time as your sole resource is pretty clever, however it wasn't immediately clear that getting hit removed some time, maybe instead of a timer, a life gauge that decreases over time would make it clearer. Soundscape is nice but feels a bit empty. Controls are a bit awkard, mapping "jump" on the "up" arrow or the right click would make it more ergonomic I think
Nice story and art ! Dialog sound is a bit annoying though, and I would have appreciated closing windows with a right click or escape rather than clicking on the top right corner everytime
Short but really sweet :) Don't take it the wrong way, but maybe you should opt out of the "fun" rating ? It feels weird to rate it on that criteria (I decided not to) since I really don't believe that's what you're aiming at
Simple yet heartbreaking, love the atmosphere :) Maybe consider checking the option to click to run it fullscreen on your itch.io though, it would help get immersed still a bit more :)
Yeah it wasn't obvious to me at least, when I took a look at the page and saw that there WAS an actual game and I tried to figure out how to play, the impact sound on the click made me think that I was somehow supposed to knock the A into place. Maybe you could have the A well out of the way instead of just a bit out of place, and make the player drag the A into its spot ?
Nice style and really fun idea, it's really fun to build this improbable bulk of a boat. However I tried to put only sails and it seemed to work a little bit too well ? I stopped that run after 3 minutes but I don't what would have stopped me to continue indefinitely ?
It's really silly, I love it ! Really enjoyed cooking up the most ridiculous head possible
Pretty simple, but addictive ! Hitbox of the cars is maybe a little bit too big, sometimes you lose by not switching into a lane that has only has a tiny bit left on screen and it feels like this last-minute dodge should be possible but it's not
Really nice graphics and music ! Wasn't able to beat the game though, there's a little inertia in the character that makes it hard to control
Thank you all for the comments and review :) Looking forward to get a bit of time in the next few days to check out what you all did as well :D. About the fact that the ball stopping causes a game over, the idea was that as soon as it stops rolling, Sisyphus as to get it on the top of the hill again so he doesn't want that. (and from a gameplay perspective, stopping the ball would mean an infinite score, and we can't have that :p )
Music is not ours actually, hence the opting out (but we are happy of what we found x) ). Thanks for the art style, I agree my teammate @poupiste did an amazing work :)
@lpax You're not doing anything wrong, I mentionned it on the itch.io page but forgot to add it here : for some reason Greek doesn't work in WebGL build, only on downloadble version. Also it probably won't be really good Greek, we included it as an "original version" kind of little gag, but we don't speak Greek so you will only get the best that Google trad has to offer haha
Pretty nice ! It gets real hard real fast, the inavitability is indeed real. The music is catchy but maybe a bit short, I heard plenty of loops in my 2 minutes of survival
Tricky but addictive ! I like the soundscape, really sets the mood with very few sounds
The concept is super fun and I love a good Scrubs reference x) However I wasn't able to survive, the first doctor is always too slow to bring a body to the morgue
Nice mechanics, great way to create the feel of a zombie invasion without having to actually to the zombie invasion x) . Like the use of time as a resource, however it is not clear enough what each action will do. I didn't try another game after the first because I had no idea what I could have done better
