Cool graphics and music! The movement felt a little slow, though that may have been lag in the web version. I wasn't sure if there was something going on with the asteroid's gravity causing me to crash into it, or if I'm just bad :-)

I'm a sucker for space themed games so this one was an easy click. I like the idea a lot although I didn't make it past 2600km on any of my attempts. That's some strong gravity haha

I, for one, appreciated the slower movement. I really liked the feeling of hitting that perfect angle where you slide perfectly along a tunnel. The fact that the walls are 3d made it a little tricky to tell when I was going to hit sometimes.

This was so tense to play, I was really afraid of crashing quite often because the checkpoints were spread out so far. I think that was good actually because it felt extra satisfying to reach a new one.
I'm not too sure about how well it fits the theme but gameplay wise it was one of the most enjoyable games of LD50 that I played so far. Good job!
Also, I got to this game because my team made a game with the same name haha. It's quite different but similarly to yours also pretty hard ^^
Wow! Amazing graphics! Loved the art and the color pallet. Game play is challenging and fun in the same time very fun. I really enjoyed playing it. Weel done!

Nice gameplay was fun to weave between the rocks and I made it to 9,900 Km :)
The side to side movement is clean but I felt my inputs being eaten if I tried to turn on and off the thrusters too fast. At some points there was not enough contrast with the walls, the background, and the rocks so it was harder to see.

Nice to see some 2.5D game! Well made and the flying through the narrow entries was quite tense! I actually liked the movement. The super quick slow-down did not feel natural, but it made it significantly easier to play the game and to adjust myself in the right position. Loved it! More checkpoints would be nice though!

Solid submission! I feel like I have *just* enough control of the ship where it's challenging but not so sluggish that I'm frustrated.

Well, this was enjoyable, a bit too challenging to me for few reasons: the inertia is very strong, making very hard to correct your mistakes; the collider of the ship is quite big, in most shoot em up game, only the center part of the ship is collidable; the lighting and the colors used make everything very dark and make it hard to see incoming threats. But overall, it's very solid and I really wanted to see the next levels (until it became too hard for me). The graphics are simple but very effective, the sounds and ambient music are enjoyable. Nice work folks!
It was really fun playing!
I really like the controlls. The only issue i had is that some of the small rocks were really hard to see.
Great to see that many people thought about space games!

I really like this game. Presentation is simple/minimalist but appropriate and still easy on the eyes (like the little posters), audio is good and not annoying. perfectly scoped for a jam game.
I think the level design/difficulty slope is really good. It's clear you've put considerable thought into how best to let the player discover the mechanics for themselves, and slowly gain a bit more confidence/mastery with each section. I went from start/stopping my thrusters like a n00b to feeling like i was a master, even beat one part by doing a somersault and felt like a badass.
The mechanics (keys, rocks) are really simple but you put them together in creative ways that provide an interesting challenge.
Sadly I could not finish this on my lunch brake, but it was 23 minutes of good fun for me. Might come back and finish it later! (MINOR SPOILER: I got to the part where you need to carry a key through a series of narrow passages, companion-cube style)
Constructive crit: - When restarting from a checkpoint, I'd make the protective shield/bubble pop only on the player's first keypress - parts where rocks move up/down (as opposed to side to side) confused/disoriented me at parts, i wasn't sure of my speed and actually made me feel a bit giddy. I'd rework those parts so that maybe there are more features on the walls/background to give the player a better feel for their orientation.

thank you so much for the feedback guys!
@japes @milan8890 @ldp @fluri yeah contrast or some sort of indicator for where the asteroids should appear was one of the main feedbacks I got from others as well. It was definitely an oversight on my part, I got too much absorbed with the ending part of the game I wasn't able to polish the middle part of it.
Anyways I'm just happy to see feedback and criticisms from everybody.
PS. The ending has a short boss battle and it starts at 21800Km. I might add a cheat code/shortcut just so people can test the last levels before the jam ends, but idk yet.

Thanks for playing our game! It is funny to play another one's game which the same basic idea :id: I prefer the way our game looks but I prefer the more progress based, fast paced gameplay of ours. Having to retry the same route again and again wasn't motivating to me, although the sound and again, visuals are really striking!
Nice entry! Not sure how frequent the checkpoints are, but since many of the asteroids seem to appear quite quickly from inside of walls it is a bit frustrating to get sideswiped out of nowhere when making steady progress. Lightly tapping in directions to make adjustments felt much better than trying to do any quick maneuvering as well.

Tricky but addictive ! I like the soundscape, really sets the mood with very few sounds

Cool game, loved the physics based controls, took some time to get used to :) Game is quite balanced, the player isn't too agile and at the same time not too sluggish
Interesting idea! I like your physics settings which bring a challenge into the game. Also, sounds are great! Keep up the good work!
Nice game! I love the graphics and the hard-core control in the game!

The crashing is very well done, both sound and visuals. I like how funny it is, even though it means you just lost. ^^ Good job with the game!
Very good entry for jam! Like graphics, mood and level design (the rock traps are nicely done)
I enjoyed playing the game. Though you opted out of audio, I think it was really well designed with the thrust sounds kicking in as the ship started to accelerate.
Though it was nice to have clear visuals of the progress, I think the placement would have been better in one of the lower corners or perhaps even a semi-transparent overlay dead center when reaching a milestone, because the way the map and the game worked, the upper left corner that it occupied now sometimes obscured what was ahead in a way that didn't feel intended.
In a way (maybe it said so and I missed it), but the main focus for the player is really reaching the next checkpoint and while not knowing exactly how close you are is beneficial for suspense, getting some indicator for closeness to next save might also improve the suspense and will to retry should one fail. In the same vein having some health to the vessel perhaps combined with limited retries from checkpoints may also increase the intensity of the game.
In general though, a very well made entry.
