I really liked this one. It's unique and immersive straight away. The concept is understood quickly but has a lot of subtleties to it. Loved the graphics as well. If I had a couple complaints though : The music looks out of place. Most levels can be beaten by just spamming jump. Some planets move really fast when knocked off.
Aside from that, it's all good !

I'll always admire people able to find new types of gameplay with card games. This one was hard to understand at first but when everything starts to make sense, there's a lot of depth in the gameplay. This wall well polished with nice art, sounds and effects. You made a really great work.
Chtonic Arhipelago by GreenRadiation 2022-04-10T18:20:30Z ♥ 2
Wow, congrats, that's an awesome amount of work to put in a jam game. This was really enjoyable to play, simple to learn but with quite a lot of depth to manage your resources efficently. Everything is well done and polished, I did not met any bugs or weird behaviour, it's quite well balanced. This was really awesome!

Well, this was enjoyable, a bit too challenging to me for few reasons: the inertia is very strong, making very hard to correct your mistakes; the collider of the ship is quite big, in most shoot em up game, only the center part of the ship is collidable; the lighting and the colors used make everything very dark and make it hard to see incoming threats. But overall, it's very solid and I really wanted to see the next levels (until it became too hard for me). The graphics are simple but very effective, the sounds and ambient music are enjoyable. Nice work folks!
Sheep Heard by ChrisAntem 2022-04-10T17:54:02Z ♥ 2
Really interesting gameplay, it's very clever, but quite difficult to controls, the delayed input and the speed of the wolf make it very hard to handle the movement of the dog correctly. Anyway, this is just balancing and I can't expect something perfect for a jam. The art is nice, the sounds are cool, the concept it clever, really well done!
Delay the Raptors by Jared Lomangino 2022-04-10T17:45:42Z ♥ 1
What the heck did I just play?! Probably the weirdest game I played so far for this jam, there's a really funny tone and it was a nice challenge to make several minigames.
Parcel Run by JoeShanahan 2022-04-10T17:35:32Z ♥ 2
Wow, this is an absolutely amazing work, everything is great in this game, the concept, the art, the sounds, the level design. The controls are a bit slippery but it does not bothered me that much when playing the game and a see-through shader would have been amazing when going behind walls but I can't complain, there's already so much in it and you even made small cutscenes and customization. Well done!
CigBan by Bassilij 2022-04-10T17:14:13Z ♥ 2
The concept here is really funny and smart. Unfortunately it's hard to go very far without just staying at the same position and shoot every object with the good timing. But it's a really strong basis if you'd like to continue the game. I can imagine, more windows with different things to shoot, more complex "routine" with several characters that make you "learn" how everyone is behaving. There's definitively a great potential with this idea!
Above the clouds by Radowicht 2022-04-10T17:01:17Z ♥ 2
The concept here is really nice, I didn't even thought about an idea like that for the jam. The mood is also great! The controls though are really hard to learn to be able to move you baloon properly, but after a failed attempt I was able to just enjoy the ride, even if I wasn't able to hit that much objectives. Nice work!
Snooze it ! by theLudovyc 2022-04-10T16:52:06Z ♥ 1
The art and music are really cute. For the gameplay part, it would help to add a bit more responsiveness (coyote time, input buffer, variable jumps, etc.). Most of the jumps are almost pixel perfect right now and it's a bit frustrating. Nice work overall and the mood is really cool.
Waking Gerald by funemaker 2022-04-10T16:45:28Z ♥ 1
Loved this game, the sounds, the music, the art really serve the mood. It's beautifully weird. The gameplay lack a bit of polish, we have to spend some time to be used to the gameplay, physics and collisions but when you understand it well, it's easily playable to end. A short, nice experience overall, worthy of a jam game.
LUNAR DANGER by slimabob 2022-04-09T17:57:28Z ♥ 2
Well, it took me 2 games before understanding how to deal with the ennemies and then, I really played the game as I should. And it was so amazing, damn, running around, avoiding enemies while trying to get all those shiny green collectibles. Improving my stuff to fire a tons of bullets but still declining while the waves of ennemies become stronger and stronger until I take the final blow. Excellent work, i really enjoyed playing this!

DO NOT Explode by Zyang 2022-04-08T17:49:32Z ♥ 1
Congrats on your game, you really manage to create a nice core mechanic that you've built on to create lot of gameplay depth. It's a nice "party game" and the AI is very good for the time you had, well polished with simple yet effective graphics. This is good work.
Gnomon by Jonathan Fischer 2022-04-08T17:24:45Z ♥ 1
I couldn't finish the game unfortunately. At the opposite of the Shadowcast's comment above, I had real trouble avoiding fire when it was really easy to avoid lightning. After 6 trials, I just gave up.
But overall, amazing work on the art and the mood, the small effects are very polished and improve a lot the quality.
Some suggestions to make the game more dynamic and enjoyable: shoot the orb to the direction of the camera and not from the character direction, do not block the player movement for so long when shooting, ideally do not block it at all (but require to separate the animations of the upper and lower body, so that's a bit of work), add a roll/phase mechanic to specifically avoid incoming attacks.
But overall, for a solo-dev, it's an incredible work to produce with gameplay, art, sounds, music, level design. I'll keep an eye on you for future jams!
Heat Flow by wolderado 2022-04-08T16:35:08Z ♥ 1
Hey, that was a very nice game, nice art, nice sounds, everything is very polished, it's original. Every elements are here to make a nice original game.
I had some trouble understanding how to efficiently manage my heat though, as there are tons on elements with different effects that I can put very quickly on my ship. At some point everything was fine, then I added a few other elements and everything exploded.
But I might not be the target for this kind of games, I've always been very bad at strategy/management games.
But in the end, you have a very playable, polished prototype and that's an amazing work for a 2 people team.
Stalling The Dictator by 0x01F0 2022-04-08T16:15:32Z ♥ 3
You clearly have an excellent concept to make a full, great, narrative game. The tone is amazing and I'm really glad to see those kind of satiric yet hilarious game in a jam. Excellent work!
You Will Fall by Yaen 2022-04-08T15:50:23Z ♥ 3
Damn man, if I listen yo your voice one more time, I swear that I will break my headphones. I don't have that much to say that was not already said, too difficult but it was a brilliant idea to add a narrative part to this kind of "mario party" game. Some kind of evolution in the dialogues could be amazing and would push the player to start over again. But it can be difficult to do that in a single jam. Good work though.
mote by KianaMosser 2022-04-08T15:41:40Z ♥ 1
I think I understood the purpose of this game where you're just an ephemeral creature in a weird, dark yet beautiful world, where the player will enjoy the beauty of the art and sound until the end. But I feel like the gameplay part, which encourage you to go as quickly as possible from point A to point B if you do not want to lose, is a bit off with the intended vision and add some kind of challenge that feels unecessary. I would have loved to spend more time in your universe, singing with those little creatures, instead of dashing my way through the end of the game, which feels suggested by the gameplay mechanics. I really liked the overall experience though and you definitively made a good job, especially on the mood!
The Beast Within by cad 2022-04-08T15:09:59Z ♥ 2
Hell yeah, you really nailed the mood of your game here, great art and unique atmosphere? The gameplay is effective and original, like a tower defense game against yourself. It's quite difficult though but I know that balancing is not the priority in a jam. Yet, your game remain playable and enjoyable. Nice work to all the team!
Holding On by Trebby 2022-04-08T15:01:11Z ♥ 1
Well yeah, this idea had to come for that specific theme. Simple yet effective, a narrativist experience set up in the most simplistic scene possible, entirely serving the original concept. You may not have the "best" gameplay obviously but you definitively created your own unique place in this jam. Good work.
The Hero (...Always Wins) by Link270 2022-04-08T14:51:43Z ♥ 3
Like others said, quite difficult but interesting use of the theme in a funny universe. I liked the idea to send big waves of minions against a single guy, it's like a boss fight X tower defense mashup. The idea could easily be extended if you'd like to continue working on the game: different heroes with unique capacities, sevaral ways to generate influence, new buildings, upgrades, drawing path in the map, etc. Good job overall!
Catronaut by fatPenguin 2022-04-08T12:57:33Z ♥ 2
I played the tutorial build and after a bit of trial and errors, the controls weren't an issue for me. The loading of the aim felt a bit slow though. But in the end amazing work, the art is good, the level design is quite cool, the gameplay interesting and the music... damn... the music! I love those king of songs, would it be possible to download it or listen to it on a soundcloud? Anyway, one of the best entry I played so far, nice job!

Nice art and sounds, like other already said, I had trouble understanding and playing the game, everything is very fast and I'm loosing without being able to move to the flowers. Appart from that, really nice work on the mood and the universe.

Hey! As a Reigns lover, I quite like your universe. Of course, I would have loved to see some twist compared to the original game but it's a jam game after all... We really feel that you had fun making it and your art and narratives are really good. Great work.

By The Fire by Ani 2022-04-06T17:36:42Z ♥ 1
Hey, for a first game jam that's quite amazing. The art is simple but very effective, same for the gameplay. It lack a bit of more interactions but it's already a good basis! Keep going, if it's your first jam, your next ones will be amazing!
The Last Guardian of Some Orbs by Klumaster 2022-04-06T17:31:16Z ♥ 3
This could become a nice little game here. The art is gorgeous, the music is great, having the narration inside the game screen is smart. The gameplay in itself is a bit too hard, the purple monster shoots a bit too fast and the repulsiveness is a bit too powerful. But overall nice work.
Demon Wins Everytime by MacabreArtGames 2022-04-06T17:18:38Z ♥ 1
I was a bit disturbed by the impossibility to move forward at first. But in the end going backward at all time is a really smart way to serve your ambiance. You really manage to create your own mood and universe. It was fun to play, really good job!

swarm by Matt Swieboda 2022-04-05T19:19:45Z ♥ 1
This game is weirdly fun, even if there is not so much in it, just shooting at those spiders and placing my little army in the base kept me playing for more time than I expected.
Reactor Guy by GummiBot 2022-04-05T19:09:38Z ♥ 1
Nice use of the theme, this is a really interesting takes. As other says, I would have love to be able to run or move faster in such a urge. Nice little puzzles, it would make a nice full game in this universe.
Paper Boy Flyin' High by unplugred 2022-04-05T18:57:10Z ♥ 1
I'm sorry folks, but I'm really bad at your game, I can't understand how to control the plane properly and I'm not able to go very far. It's really sad since I really wanted to see the environment showed in your screenshot. The art style looks amazing!
Appoleo by NeM 2022-04-05T18:43:13Z ♥ 0
The concept here is quite interesting even if I would have love to see a bit more of diversity in the gameplay. It's quite hard to move smoothly from a stair to another through the ladders when moving at the same time. I think the game would also be cool with a jump since the challenge is already there when moving from a place to another. I also like the art style, nice pixel art, great fresco!
Campfire by Shadowcast 2022-04-05T18:31:25Z ♥ 2
In my opinion, it's quite difficult to make narrative games during jams. And I must say that you've nailed it, great mood, great writing. The story was nice to follow even if I wanted, deep in my heart, to finish on a warmer note. Good job (and nice pixel shader!)
The Ultimate Martian Roulette by HaaYaargh 2022-04-05T18:14:06Z ♥ 5
Such a good concept! The mood, the ambiance of the game are amazing. A single turn in the game says it all. And there's a lot of possibilities to extend this concept. Let's make it multiplayer now ;) Really good work, congrats.
