All the art was very nice. It served the atmosphere very well.

wilson-taylor 2022-04-05 02:42

Aw dude cool!

bigdylann 2022-04-05 02:42

10/10 visuals. It was a little slow paced for me though. Also i couldnt get the game window very big, but that might just be me.

steffo 2022-04-05 02:48

Would love a Linux build to try out your game!

sivarde 2022-04-05 02:51

I think the game looks pretty great. I wasn't sure what to do other than just follow the bread crumbs though, so the gameplay felt a little slow. Also, there was a kind of high pitched sound that played throughout that was a bit grating on the ears.

lighty-the-light 2022-04-05 02:54

Good art and audio.

Well done!

proxy-games 2022-04-05 02:54

This game is simple, but I think that's what I like about it. It gives time for the art and audio-the most impressive aspects of this piece-to really shine. I especially love the abstract and atmospheric soundtrack in the background. Overall, this game is really effective at what it aimed to do.

Really beautiful work.

@CasualNothing @wilson-taylor @lighty-the-light Thanks!

@bigdylann Thanks! It's not just you - we didn't have enough time to put in the settings menu or custom camera system, but it will be fixed in our post-jam update!

@steffo I would love to, but unfortunately I don't have a machine with the proper specs to dev, test, and build on Mac or Linux :(

@sivarde Thanks for the feedback! Since there's no tutorial on controls yet I can see that it's easy to miss, but you can also interact with the creatures if you press the "sing" button when you're close enough to them. I'd love for us to add more interactions with this throughout the environment! I plan to remaster, reduce the volume and intensity for some of those sounds you mentioned :)

@proxy-games Thanks! I'm glad to hear you think we were able to execute our vision for the atmosphere! When adding more content later, we'll keep that in mind.

passed the game, enjoyed the great art, but didn’t understand the meaning :(

mnikn 2022-04-05 07:32

I love the art style and the mood is great, good piece of work

lako 2022-04-05 21:58

The visuals and style are great. The audio is really well made, I especially like how the sound pans with where you are. It is a very atmospheric experience. Nice job.

This is a beautiful game with an amazing mood! I wish the lights lasted a bit longer so I could have a bit more freedom to explore outside of path determined by the light thingies you are supposed to collect.

Some direction about what are you supposed to do at the start would be very welcome as well.

Other than that, great stuff!

I think I understood the purpose of this game where you're just an ephemeral creature in a weird, dark yet beautiful world, where the player will enjoy the beauty of the art and sound until the end. But I feel like the gameplay part, which encourage you to go as quickly as possible from point A to point B if you do not want to lose, is a bit off with the intended vision and add some kind of challenge that feels unecessary. I would have loved to spend more time in your universe, singing with those little creatures, instead of dashing my way through the end of the game, which feels suggested by the gameplay mechanics. I really liked the overall experience though and you definitively made a good job, especially on the mood!

pollahard 2022-04-15 13:17

I really liked the way this game looks, wonderful!

Wow! Very beautiful graphics. A beautifully executed game! I got a lot of pleasure from the game! great job!

coderaurus 2022-04-17 08:19

Beautiful game! Loved the harmony of graphics and music, great job on both aspects. I felt the game had a decreasing difficulty, since existing wasn't a problem after the first level. I loved how you played around with the audio space. I think there should've been a fade on the music when you stop moving in the last level, the clear cut doesn't fit the rest of the game.

Great stuff, quite enjoyable!

rodel77 2022-04-18 03:03

Really nice graphics and sound, beautiful experience!

plot summary: * Transient space rabbit almost fades out of existence, but eats light to survive. * Makes friends with a bunch of space blobs & space jellyfish. * What's not to love?

One of the blobs didn't talk back, and I was dismayed

the footsteps / dash seemed a little loud to me, but overall the audio side of things is very nice! I love how there's a unique audio effect to go along with the unique visual elements. The final room where the music plays when you walk is a nice touch too. I dig the visual style, the rings of light that surround the start/end points are neat, lots of nice contrasting eye candy throughout. Well done!
