This is a simple game, but it's very effective. The monotony of the gameplay serves to further enforce the message of the piece, and the pastel-desaturated colors of the environment work to serve it further. The story here is a very nice one.
Can't say this is what I was expecting from LD50, but I'm not necessarily disappointed.

I held on for 215seconds. Beautiful experience, I thought it encapsulated very well the idea of "endless" overthinking, of going on and on over things that have no solution, other than letting go. Very interesting game! A minor nitpick on the presentation: the "room tone" sound had a discerning clip when it looped. Other than that, imo the presentation was very nice!
Oof. Bravo.
I was expecting this theme to come up during the jam, but I wasn't expecting to see a project going this far into it. The alarm sound when the generator comes low in energy is an excellent addition, well done. Simple, but so damn efficient.

A very simple game with a heavy meaning behind it. The message of this game hits hard the most when you have lost a loved one before. I held for around 270 seconds. Definitely a game worthy of praise. ShareX_nVmgybvIVI.png

I held for 508 seconds. I didn't want any word you put into the impact of this game to be wasted.
That was daring. I'm glad you didn't flinch away from the idea.
I held for 630 seconds. In the end I decided to make the energy go to 100% for one last time, and stop, even with the alarm screaming to me to keep on clicking, thinking about the experiences of the character and mine. Seriously haunting experience.

Well yeah, this idea had to come for that specific theme. Simple yet effective, a narrativist experience set up in the most simplistic scene possible, entirely serving the original concept. You may not have the "best" gameplay obviously but you definitively created your own unique place in this jam. Good work.

I like the idea very much and it has promise. Unfortunately, there was little to keep me invested in the long run. I don't like that the power recharges completely with just a few clicks. The game is too easy, which leaves you with only the messages to engage with. The only issue is that the messages (and I don't want to sound rude) feel like they were taken out of a teenager's idea of song lyrics for an emo band. They don't really have any meaning and don't interest me as a player. I would have much rather you told a story through the messages about the characters and given me a chance to care for them, rather than explicitly telling me I care about them in the messages. I think this is a good idea and very well executed, but I just wanted a little bit more. That said, great job for a jam game! @gal-afik I appreciate the feedback! admittedly the story comes from a very personal place, it's more a self insert than anything else. the monotony of the gameplay is tonally purposeful but i understand it's not for everyone's.

Simple, but really well done! It genuinely made me sad. Awesome job on the atmosphere of the game and on the monolog.

This was a very emotive experience. I imagine that you even put personal experience into it. Once I accepted what the game was, I was able to immerse myself and absorb the story. Thank you for this!

This is definitely one of those cases where the "Fun" category doesn't really make sense. The graphics are nice and the audio while sparse is totally appropriate for the mood. Seems definitely a very personal project, I hope making this and putting it out there was therapeutic in some way! Well done.

I love when people take the Ludum Dare theme to explore games as a medium for storytelling. You did a great job with this - not what many people would expect a game to be, not "fun" (nor trying to be) but still a compelling & thoughtful experience on the perfect scale for a game jam. Well done!
What kind of a hospital is this?? They have some serious legal charges coming their way!
Interesting game. I think the narrative was well done, but the crank turning could've used a little more interaction (maybe moving the mouse in a circle or something) to make it feel like more effort. The graphics looked great (the clock moving would've been amazing but I understand that time is limited), and the audio sounded good.
