The first game in this LD to make me break out laughing hysterically. The whole thing is ridiculous in all the right ways. You never get a break in the chaos of trying to save all these dumb souls from ramming themselves into walls or the even dumber pedestrians crossing this superhighway.
If I can complain about anything, it is that Jesus doesn't always seem to respond to your attempts to control a different vehicle. This might be intentional, though.
But in all, incredibly well done in pretty much every way. You have earned a 5/5 star overall rating here.
Very simple to play, yet engaging. Surprisingly challenging but never excessively so. The graphics and audio add to the charm of the whole thing. I agree with mnsoleart, this would make an excellent mobile game as well.
Cute little game! The little "buddy" (buddies?) look and sound adorable. Physics (namely friction) are a bit floaty for my taste, but not bad.
All that I can say negatively is that it's not especially creative. There's been a ton of "sacrifice your body to make a platform" games this LD.
I have to admit this concept came to my mind too when the theme for LD43 was announced. Though my team went elsewhere with our game, this one was hilarious and fun for the few short minutes it took to play it. I broke out laughing after *one particular choice you can make*. Doesn't feel too far off the mark of the reality of making an LD game, though maybe a little bit exaggerated.
A pretty straightforward game to play. Fun for a few minutes, before the excessively floating controls might get on your nerves a little.
I enjoyed playing it, but it's not really creative.
This game is.... weird. But I liked it a lot. Too bad it crashed after a few minutes. Definitely made a good impression before then, though. Controls are a bit tricky to handle, though.
@guitarbro The graphics are built from a default RPG Maker tileset, but we designed the maps. The music is original (made by yours truly), but I made it years ago for the original Catachresis concept. Sound effects are stock RPG Maker.
We had an artist and musician onboard for the project, but they both ended up having no time over the weekend to make assets for the game.
Interesting interpretation of "start with nothing"! Really easy to die in this game.
Nice and relaxing game that I could see as being a very nice thing to start up when you need to decompress from a long day. The voice acting and narrative is also fantastic.
Interesting (trippy!) visual effect, but beyond that I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. Feels more like a tech demo for the effect than anything else.
Wow, this game is amazing. It takes a minute to figure out how to get started, but after that it is very intuitive. Controls are infuriating, but they are intended to be. Unlike most LD games, this is one that I absolutely had to finish.
All I have to say is: Half Life 3 confirmed.
Fun little game! The AI isn't very good, but it was still enjoyable to play this for a few rounds. Definitely would like to see this game expanded upon; ie, tournament brackets against incrementally more difficult AI. :)
Cute and fun! Very easy to get lost if you wander anywhere though. Seems that the best way to play is to stay near the shops and waterfall and just let the corgis bring you what they find.
Very much enjoyed this. How am I supposed to rate it for graphics though? π€
Surprisingly fun with good worldbuilding for such a simple and short game. I managed to find three of the endings (hint to others: look carefully around the floor) but can't figure out the fourth.
Shows a lot of promise! There may not much be functional gameplay here, but what is here has me interested! Would be interested in seeing a post-jam completed version.
I really tried to get to level 20, but the AI drivers are idiots who keep ramming me even if I honk nonstop. I have never been to Paris, but something tells me that this is realism, not lazy programming. ;)
Really fun game (obviously fun enough for me to try for lvl20 several times). Graphics are charming, and the sound is *honkhonkHONKhonk*.
Clicked because cat. :3
Very unusual control scheme, but pretty straightforward once you figure out what you need to do to move a given direction. Also appreciated the purring sound effect. :D
One of the more creative entries I've seen this LD! It's pretty fun but difficult to try to figure out what the gods want. The use of emojis to express their emotions is also pretty amusing.
@mellobacon @kingofnova @matchaflavor @lvl3mage Hey everyone, thanks for playing our game! Looks like we've had a few unexpected bugs (maybe caused by high load? our system generates PDF resumes in real time...).
However, if you refresh the page, the game should be exactly as you left off. Just "login" with whatever. If you didn't notice, that page does nothing. :)
@flazone Thanks for the compliment! And yes, the PDFs are generated in real time, using the same software as most professional real resumes (pdflatex). Each of the applicants are generated in real time, in fact. There's a lot of .txt datasets and RNG code in the source code.
@fabula-rasa Thanks for playing! Unfortunately no, the server issues are not part of the game. We've tried to figure out what's going on, but found nothing. Probably just what we get for using a cheap VPS to host it. But if it adds to the immersion for you, all the better. ;)
Also we're aware attributes can show up more than once on a resume. It's not intentional exactly, but we weren't in a big hurry to fix it as it can have funny results as you found :D

Excellent time waster, I got 3rd on the leaderboard once I realized how to line up several boxes on top of another. :)
I really enjoyed this! Great visuals, music, and story. I played for a long time, and made it to the top level (as far as I can tell), but could not figure out how to reach the ending. I always end up getting "patched". :(
I never would have thought that the bunnies' own poop is an effective weapon against them... guess I was wrong!
This is a really nice chill game. The whole design is great, it could use some expansion though. There's only so much you can do in the game as it stands.
Who in the world doesn't like tacos? :(
10/10, served customer a mix of mayo and everclear
As a non-coffee-drinker, I had to make some guesses as to how to work the machine, but after that it was fairly clear. Surprisingly fun, and the sound effects actually made me laugh.
Took quite a few tries, but I finally managed to not die (today).
Simple game, but it was that fact that encouraged me to try different routes to see how they'll kill me. There's definitely some fun writing in there.
This game has a level of polish matched by few others I've played in any LD (and I've been through too many to count...) :)
Very fun, with a nice difficulty curve as you go through levels. The music and sound design is also beautiful in its own right.
Maybe the most polished game I've played this LD! Very fun and intuitive to play. I didn't really end up using the rewind feature (but I see other comments praising it, so maybe that's just my play style!), but the slow down was extremely useful for trying to get and maintain large combos.
However, being able to slow down the game indefinitely feels a bit overpowered and makes the game maybe too easy. Having a cooldown on that feature would make the game a lot more challenging.
A nice silly little game to bring a smile to my face. Surprisingly challenging and enjoyable for how simple it is.
Nice concept for a game. Maybe a bit too slow paced for people expecting quick little games like most that get entered into LD.
The line of vision mechanic seems to be a little bugged, many times I got caught by someone who was on the other side of a solid wall.
Incredible! Played it for way longer than I intended to... eventually got stuck at a point where I could no longer expand my loop, but that's probably not fault of the game. In fact, I can't really fault this game on anything.
Difficult to get my mind around! That's my fault though, not yours.
Really impressive work here. It could use more levels in the future, but what you have here is already impressive for 48 hours.
Very polished and cute puzzler! I agree with the previous commenters that there needs to be an option to speed through the hourglass or flip animations, as it can be a bit tedious to wait for.
Otherwise, excellent job! High rating from me. :D
I guess the "loop" is daily life in the age of smartphones?
This is definitely a weird one. Not sure I'd call it much of a game, but it was fun to look around and see all there is to see.
I don't really get what's going on, but it was still fun to run around and try to interact with stuff. There is some very good atmosphere in this game, it just needs some instructions for what you're supposed to be doing.
Not bad for a first game! Probably not the best idea to make an LD game online multiplayer though, as you never know how many people will be playing at a time.
Much harder than you may first think... freezing or burning to death is always right around the corner!
The visuals and sound are excellent. I've not been able to get too far into it because once you get going, you can only really stop moving for about 5 seconds before dying of heat exposure.
This game is an excellent concept, all that I think it really needs is a difficulty tweak.
I love the idea of this. Unfortunately it seemed to be partially broken for me due to my 1440p main monitor (and I couldn't find a way to move it to one of my 1080p side monitors), and I couldn't get very far.
It's really great to see someone making a game (or maybe calling this interactive art is a better description?) out of their personal experiences. Even with the breakage on my system, you're getting a high rating from me. :)
A nice spin on one of my favorite type of childhood time waster games. Fun to play, but I have a few nitpicks:
1. Need to grind pretty hard to be able to upgrade the jump enough to be able to get to more than the bottom path of the map.
2. The character is a bit sticky on the sides of platforms, making missing jumps fatal to a run. :(
Overall though, enjoyed it a lot!
This is a lot more complete than most LD games. I spent a lot more time on it than I normally do...
Great gameplay (took a while to figure out the loop/"cheat"), great visual and audio design.
Took a bit to figure out the controls, but after that it was pretty fun! Getting the timing right on those spikes is pretty difficult.
Fun idea, cute graphics, nice music.
Well that came out of nowhere O_o
A very interesting spin on the interpretation of "unstable"! It definitely hit the mark on all aspects (story, visuals, music, etc).
One of the best LD games I've played in a long while! Also, wow nuclear reactor plinko is hard!
I really have nothing substantial to criticize here.
I now have an extremely strong urge to throw something fragile against a wall.
Well done, would play again.
Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone!
@eoshadows I just pushed a fix for that bug. If you load the game again, it should give the error message one more time, then boot successfully back to the terminal.
Very simple concept, but very fun gameplay. I wish there was a way to skip the intro when you restart though... but maybe that wouldn't have been a problem if I wasn't too slow :(
Makes cooking feel exactly as hard as it felt like it would as a kid. And wow, that really is hard...
Basically everything about this game is near-perfect. The art and music are amazing, and the gameplay is addictive. Only real nitpick is that it's a bit difficult to figure out which component is where. Also I know the leaf icon doesn't mean "plant/vegetable", but it felt wrong anyway when you're throwing mushrooms in there.
I... don't know what I just played. But whatever it was, it was done well. I do wonder what "effects" the devs had to be under to come up with this stuff though. ;)
Interesting game mechanic, and difficult to master. The poor little Qt Qitty got hit with the... quantum disturbance?... more than a few times. :(
Overall, fun little game!
A nice little pinball game. Thematically well done, but the art around the bumpers implies there's a wall there that doesn't actually exist, and the gravity is a little slow compared to other pinball games (threw off my timing :( )
This should be used in schools to teach touch typing.
Maybe then I would have actually learned the proper way to touch type.
Fun for a few minutes, but some parts of the game need some proper explanation in game (don't walk over the glowing beam things. and how to handle the glowing ninjas)
@thementalsheep yea, we're realizing RenpyWeb is full of bugs, unfortunately. We're removing the web build.
@thementalsheep @cactusdan @doctorbilbo @adrien-tremblay @decadedecaf Thanks for all the positive feedback! <3
@teenythanos Thanks for the kind words. Yea... the "woo" sound is too loud, to put it mildly. Once of those things that gets missed when we're rushing to finish on time. I guess I'll excuse it as making the player feel just like our axolotl friend does throughout the game. ;)
@natpat There are 14 possible calls you can receive. Unfortunately, the problem of repeats isn't just you -- the RNG that Ren'Py uses seems to pick favorites. I guess real tech support gets repeats like that too!
would be a 7/10, but then I found the toilet minigame
now it's 8/10, well done. I need 3 more on my desk by Friday.
As soon as the LD50 theme was announced, I knew that death was going to be a recurring theme along with it.
But this is how to do it. I didn't get as far as I wanted because of how difficult the flower minigame is, but I very much enjoyed what I did see.
Can't say this is what I was expecting from LD50, but I'm not necessarily disappointed.
Fun to play around with. It's a bit difficult to tell when you're taking damage though, unless your eye is always on the health bar.
Buying all in into HP and damage seems to be a decent strategy.
Takes a few tries to figure out what you need to do, but it's fun once you do. A lot more resource management skill than I expected to need in a "cute little bee game".
Nice calming little game to play after frantically finishing our own. :)
It's a little bit glitchy, but still fun. Nice take on the theme.
I can't remember the last time I rated an LD straight 5s across the board. (May have been "Jesus Take the Wheel" back in LD43). But this just became the latest.
The absolute only thing I could possibly fault it on is that the death/scythe mechanic feels a tiny bit unintuitive. I was expecting to have to monitor the clocks myself for their death time, but I guess it's a small mercy that I didn't have to since I was already way over my head.
I seriously will be unsurprised if this wins the jam, and will be disappointed for you if it doesn't at least score top 10.
Teacher got run over trying to save two toddlers. Not paid enough for this. :(
But really, this was a fun game with cute graphics and music. Just the right difficulty where you feel like you have things under control, then suddenly you realize a kid got all the way over to the mushrooms without noticing.
