Very cool game, I had fun playing this game; Good job CompiledGames team!

Neat game, though I felt like maybe there was something else that I was supposed to do in it. Kept watching NPCs come and chat, but wasn't sure if I was expected to do something extra?

kirthos 2020-10-06 03:01

@faelim Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, if you continue having discussion with the NPCs, you will, little by little, unlock more possibility and options. And yes, there is an end of the game but can take a bit of time to reach it. After 2 dialogs, you unlock the possibility to speed up the game with right mouse button.

I really enjoyed this! Great visuals, music, and story. I played for a long time, and made it to the top level (as far as I can tell), but could not figure out how to reach the ending. I always end up getting "patched". :(

Started off interesting. Played for a while and it got to the point where nothing new was happening. Still not sure what the second bar was or if there was a reason to gain gold. Wasn't sure if there was an ending.

Great story and artwork! Personally, I had a hard time understanding how to play however and the NPCs- er, players rather, were pretty chatty and it looped through the same chatter over and over again. I think that's part of it's charm at the same time though, it makes you feel like an NPC. I just think it needs balanced with more decision making.

Overall, I had fun playing it. I wouldn't mind buying a full-length game of this if it's more fleshed out.

@firetwoonenine Wow, thank you for playing all the way through! Really sorry to hear that you couldn't reach the end. We want to avoid spoiling things, but at that point..it's important to take a look at the Shopkeeper.. :)

@thevideogamester Thanks for the feedback! Due to the time constraint, only getting a little gold is required.

@matchaflavor Thanks so much, I'm humbled by your words! You just quoted the (main) two things that's on our crosshairs: - The longer conversations between players weren't supposed to happen more than once during a playthrough. It's an unfortunate tiny bug that causes a big nuisance, and we're really looking at publishing a fix very soon. - The balancing is also something we're really hoping to improve, but I'm not sure it fits under the patching rules. We'll look into it. Thanks again!

Really good entry! I was amazed at how much content you were able to put into it. I especially like the artwork, music, and mood. I think I'll have more appreciation for the next NPC's I encounter, lol. Great job!

The game is chilling. The art is nice as the music, it's funny they write badly on purpose to remind the experience you have when playing those games. I also think I got a reference from SAO about the beta tester.

The font could be bigger tho, and also the icon in the top left corner are not very clear, I understood more or less their meaning towards the end and think the game could be better without those kinds of management.

It was fun to reach the end, maybe a bit too long. Nice work =)

Love the sounds and the animations: Great entry!

Lovely art and atmosphere.

Design was charming and well done, definitely fits to the theme of stuck in a loop, but for me it was just too much repetition with not enough progression to balance it out. Wanted to keep playing to see what the ending was but it was taking far too long, and although the repeated dialogue alludes to the theme it got a little grating after a while. Also the power bars in the corner could've done with a bit more explanation as to how they help you move forward, towards the end it felt like I was going through the motions for no reason, so I suppose it was accurate as getting into the head of an NPC! Good work though

echo-gameworks 2020-10-11 23:45

Art, music, and dialog all top notch. The introspection definitely made me chuckle. Great work!

Really good entry and a lot of work and writing has gone in to this! Great job you guys!!!

socratesken 2020-10-22 22:29

the link didnt work - 404 - something happened there at itch.io

kirthos 2020-10-26 22:57

@socratesken sorry for the late answer. It was very weird that the link was not working. I changed it to use a link to the itch.io page instead of the direct download link. It's supposed to work now.
