I had a good laugh playing this game. Even the overly cramped apartment seemed to add to the feeling of loneliness. High marks for atmosphere and writing.

mandy858 2020-10-07 03:14

Really liked it. Love the writing too :P

Interesting take on loops. This kinda game never appeals but it was interesting enough to hold my attention for a few deaths. Good work

tauheed-game-dev 2020-10-08 04:40

Nice game. The concept of time loops has always been interesting to me. Played many times enjoyed it very much.

"You realise you do not, in fact, have a new sofa. the bear mauls you"

The writing in this was great, I played it a few times just to see some more endings. Great job!

Took quite a few tries, but I finally managed to not die (today).

Simple game, but it was that fact that encouraged me to try different routes to see how they'll kill me. There's definitely some fun writing in there.

Nice job! This game is awesomely innovating

etrealjunior 2020-10-09 17:34

Hi all right, I liked your game the images with references to your life, and it would probably be your home, I found the environment very small in relation to the player, the camera insisted on pointing to the floor and the fountains could be bigger, there were some problems collision, but managed to get through the proposed idea, I liked it programming at Ue4, my congratulations, I would be very grateful if you could give me your feedback on my game, grateful, a big hug.

@mandy858 Thank you! I enjoyed the heck out of your game as well. Really solid puzzles!

geraldfingburke 2020-10-09 17:47

@arron-fowler Thank you for giving it a chance. I know walking sims are low hanging fruit, but this was my first real attempt at a 3D game and it seemed like a good place to start.

geraldfingburke 2020-10-09 17:49

@tauheed-game-dev Thank you! I think we ended up with pretty similar takes on the theme. I absolutely loved the humor and references in yours. The art was cute as hell too.

geraldfingburke 2020-10-09 17:51

@criggles Ha! My friends that proofread my script got a kick out of that one too. I have Peng's New Ting lined up in my queue for after work!

geraldfingburke 2020-10-09 17:53

@firetwoonenine Thank you for playing to the end! I was hoping my writing would create some replayability, because the gameplay is too flat to do that on its own. I have Gelato HRMS bookmarked for playing. I'm actually really excited about that one, as I love that style of game.

geraldfingburke 2020-10-09 17:55

@eugenik Thank you. Stoked about playing Frozen Potency later. I don't think I've ever seen a schmup use that perspective. I'm probably going to get my ass handed to me!

geraldfingburke 2020-10-09 17:57

@etrealjunior Thanks for the feedback! Most of the posters in the room are from games that my friends have made. I even put a picture of me making the game in unity on the laptop in the game. I had a lot of fun with that part. I have Resurrection on my playlist for this evening, so I'll be sure to leave you some feedback!

aduro 2020-10-15 15:50

Good game! Game controlls are a bit janky, and graphics are good enough. Overall, it was fun to play, especially that bear-sofa ending XD.

geraldfingburke 2020-10-17 14:06

@aduro Yeah, I spent a good half day trying to get the controller to work. Where I was aiming for the compo, I settled for good enough. I also ended up not using reference for my models so stuff like the toilet and sink were a bit janky. After a certain point, I started just modeling in Unity, so things didn't really get much better. Thank you for the note about the writing, that's sort of where I've been placing all my hopes for this one.

bot12313 2020-10-18 13:04

Aw, the control sucks :( But overall it's good and playable. Nice job!

satolas 2020-10-20 00:35

xeQ6FW3aYW.png Of course the title is **"you are going to die today"** and there is a laptop with **Unity** launched XD

Oway5dWiUo.png Sorry I could't Resist...

###### A man goes out drinking one night and gets blackout drunk. He wakes up the next morning to find that he has lost his credit card. He needs to get it back but he got so drunk he doesn't remember which bar he ended up at. The only thing he remembers is that the bar had a golden toilet. He walks into down and goes into one bar and asked the bartender, "Excuse me, this is a weird question, but do you happen to have a golden toilet here?" "A golden toilet? I don't think so," the bartender said, giving him a strange look. The man walked into another bar,"Excuse me, you don't happen to have a golden toilet here, do you?" said the man. "A golden toilet, huh? Don't be ridiculous." This continues all day until finally the man walks into a bar all the way on the other side of town. He asks the bartender: "Excuse me, I know this is going to sound strange, but do you have a golden toilet here? I got really drunk last night and left my credit card at a bar with a golden toilet." The bartender smiles, turns around and yells, "Hey Bill, I think we found the guy who took a shit in your tuba!"

I tried almost everything...And died every time as you said XD I mean I'm not gonna lie I never tried to NOT put my Unity3d hoodie. This even if will die rest of my life I'll never pick the other choice :D Was cool game guys thanks :-)

thegreenworm 2020-10-26 18:52

Nice story, very funny, I like how unexpected everything feel. After a while the game is just some memory challenge, but it's totally worth it to die just to see what crazy story you came up with to make the main character die. On a gameplay standpoint, controls feel a bit weird since you can't press multiple direction keys at the same time and move diagonally, so movement feels a bit stiff. And the guy is working on his own universe, pretty meta !
