Looks interesting but I had no idea what I was doing or had to do, I went inside of a church, got out of it and fought a weird nintel boss that just 1 shot me. Other then that the art looks great!

@zoranster Thanks for the feedback. For the gameplay part: you have to solve multiple quests to be able to fully fight the boss. After every quest you will be transportet to the fight. After loosing you can make other quests to gather more "power".
alright, lets go over the good stuff first. I didn't really understand what i had to do in the game, i mean i understood i had to defeat that boss but i didnt get how to actually do it, i just went around town and collected things and hoped they were the right thing to do. I dont think i was able to get any of the items besides the sword, but i could still defeat the boss. Overall i was just very confused and i think that if you plan on making a post jam version, you guys could probably add some direction so the player knows what he is doing.
Now for the good. I enjoy the concept of a day that loops, in which every loop you need to do a different thing. The art is very good and it even was what sparked my interest in the game. Sfx's and music are very good too, but thre is a little bit of a lack of feedback when the player attacks.
Anyway overall i think this is a good entry.
@lerpish hey thanks. Really appreciate your honest feedback. I do agree with the point of guiding the player or making things more clear. We had plans for that but do to bad time management we did not achieved it. We will definitely make a post jam version, let me know if your interested so I can message you up
@desertmaw please tag me, i want to see this game once its more fleshed out, the idea is there just needs extra polish!
Amazing game and impressive graphics you have there!
These graphics are really impressive! Gameplay and sounds are good aswell. Well done!
I don't really get what's going on, but it was still fun to run around and try to interact with stuff. There is some very good atmosphere in this game, it just needs some instructions for what you're supposed to be doing.
I was very confused most of my play-through, and couldn't find two of the items. Some basic instructions on controls and what is happening with the UI would have been helpful.
Your game is incredible! The sound and graphics are awesome. The only thing is that I dont really understand what to do.
The graphics drew me in, you did an incredible job building a cohesive world. I've seen you say that there was a lot planned that didn't make it in, but I think what you managed to do in a few days speaks volumes. I didn't make it that far, I got the sword to the boss early on and it didn't really look like I was doing any damage? Could just be me being bad. But I commend you for your attention to the theme, as well as the visual style which I don't think can really be praised enough. tpose magda.png Maybe when Magda is finished selling pears, she can say "How long will I t-pose? Nobody knows!"
Really cozy game! I love the art style and audio. I liked not having directions and trying to figure out what to do on my own. I'd definitely play more of what you make.
Very cool world you have created and I like the concept :)
Very nice graphics I got looped few times and I didn't manage to finish your game. (I think so). I don't know how to use sword or shield (clicking lmb/rmb don't trigger any animation or sound). Very nice world btw I really enjoy story of characters, they appear to be believable and brings me to mind some classics.
Nice art and the level design, but controls for Html build doesn'n seems to work.
Really enjoyed the art and just strolling through the village. Animations are great, music fits and wasn't too distracting even after a while. I actually understood what to do (except the guy in the mine?) - but I picked the sword as my 3rd item and prior to that I didn't really understood what to do againts the boss, so I was just trying to get killed faster at that point. Boss fight was actually really souls like which I really like, but I think it didn't really quite fit the other things you do in that game as it seemed more like an adventure (puzzle) type of thing, where you search for things and use them in specific place, but I get where you're coming from :] Nice entry, enjoyed finishing it!
Great game, little unclear in the begining but when I found out what to do it was fun :slight_smile:
I really liked the graphics and the ambient, very chill, however as people mentioned i couldn't figure out what to do
So overall I would like to respect the art. It is very impressive for the limited amount of time! Especially the church.
Hovewer didn't get the gameplay. Quest zones are very limited and annoying from time to time, additionaly will be nice to have some information for controlls, because this was unclear as well.
Hope to see the next beautiful game with hints and more clear controlls from your team!
@conneli
Noted :P
Thank you all for the feedback, we really want to do a post jam entry with a finished game :)
I am very glad someone saw the boss as a souls like boss :) My inspiration was Vendrick from dark souls 2 where you have to get special souls to lower his resistance.
We will be working to guide the player more through the game and fix more bugs. @prostone We didn't have time to fix the animation from the guy in the mine so we thought it would be funny to make him look more buggy xD
@conneli The t-pose would make a great dialog line really laught on that idea :D Rumors say she's still doing it.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. Seems like you did everything correctly. It's not that obvious but in the beginning the boss does have some sort of resistance. By doing more quests you collect more items making the boss more beatable.
Great entry. So much wanted to see the ending, but couldn't. I finished 4 quests and couldn't advance anymore. Just wandered far too long and quit. Overall Great entry. Very impressive.
Like others I had some trouble figuring out what to do at first, but wandering around the neat little world was a blast anyway! Beautiful art, lots of fun to explore!
Good job, beautiful entry!
had some trouble with understanding what to do but tbh i just really enjoyed the world. i had a great time wondering around the village and just soaking stuff in.
Took me a second to catch on to the rhyming everyone was doing, i'm sure you had some idea with that that could be expanded upon.
I had a answer to a riddle i wanted to do first because the current one was stumping me (ha, i had the axe at the time), I think it would be nice if you could drop your current item if you can't figure out one of the riddles.
I think you should make all items grabbable from the start so they don't give away the answers to the puzzles.
I think the graphics could use a little clean up since they looked a bit rough but they reminded me of Stonehearth (not Hearthstone) which used similar looking graphics.
I like the sort of 4th wall braking fight, though it was a bit buggy such as being able to hit and get hit when you have half a shield or when it has half a shield.
The fight should have some effects as well so it feels better.
You should add more sound to the river since only having the sound of a sink made it feel weird
overall liked the riddles, generally like the graphics, and I liked the world that was made by this.
@wolfier Thanks for your detailed feedback. The drop item part would definitely be nice to have but the system we set up at the beginning "restricted" to solve a quest you begun, but maybe the post jamb will be different. Could you extend uppon why you think the graphics are rough? Really would like to improve my art-style, maby to less detail? even though I tried making a more clean look
@desertmaw I don't know if i can give the best details to art since i tend to just go and I don't think clean was the right word but:
I can say I didn't really like the bulbus noses since they tend to stand out among the rest of the character.
I can see in that picture above that the road is its own model rather then attached to the ground which looks weird.
You should have more of a transition when switching to "evil" mode rather then a full light change.
For the record I would focus on the gameplay over the art as its the gameplay that makes a game. As long as the art provides adequate feedback its all good in my book
@wolfier Thanks for replying :)
Hi all right, I liked the game I love art voxel, I usually use magicavoxel, I found the colors very intense, and the animation of the character is slow in relation to his speed, the scene of the priest baptizing, and the animation of the fisherman is very elegant, a good reference I don’t know if you know it is the game made in voxel called "The Touryst", I think there you can find good ideas to enhance your project, I really liked it. I will follow you on the itch to see your future evolutions, a big hug.
@etrealjunior thanks for you kind feedback. Glad you liked it. The Touryst looks great thank you for letting us know of that I bet we can use this as further inspiration and we will try to improve the character animation speed
Great art. I got confused on how to complete a few quest cause I accidently did one and appeared in front of the final boss. A little more hand holding would have been better for me for some of the quest.
Enjoyed this one; short but sweet. I'd really like to see a "making of" for this game or a technical post-mortem.
@amkingtrp we have plans on doing so ("The art behind") and write a little about making the graphics / animation and sounds If you like I can tagg you there
What a cool idea.
The graphics are pretty cool and the concept is awesome. I really liked it. It could need some polish and some more complex "riddles" but so far its really really cool.
Well Done good Job
@deathstorm Thanks for your feedback
