I loved the way the theme was incorporated as theming it's very thematic. The art was very nicely done! Also really enjoyed the sound of the machine.

Cool idea with the pinball. I'm a great fan of the old pinball games and miss them quite much. The ball physics feels a bit slow and with some friction, Z and / for bumpers gives quite some acrobatic finger movement on german keyboards though...
Very Cool Good Job would, be nice to have a material on the ball. overall very good
Пинбол в психушке - это что-то новенькое. Но игра затягивает, без шуток. Спасибо!
Interesting concept, I enjoyed the drawings and the mood is definitely there with the audio design. Cool entry
cool. dug that it works! took me a moment to reazlie it was "z and /" and not "z" and some other stuff does other stuff. (like I kept hitting z and wondered why the right flipper didn't do anything. then once i got into and was knocking the ball around, trying to get places, i couldn't get into the path i wanted. gave up after 10 or 20 tries. maybe i don't play enough pinball games. the tilt function moved the diamond which would block areas, that seemed weird. And was a little bored waiting for ball to stop bouncing off the things above my flippers. (maybe i could use tilt to better stop that? but. feel like tilt is some sort of cheat thing you don't want to do too much in pinball? (soo, never saw whatever story/objective stuff seemed setup to trigger.) so was fun initially, then felt like i hit brick wall. but looks like it's polished and actually. so high marks.
Really cool idea with the asylum, like it a lot! Add some voice acting to this and some Theme Hospital style voice lines, and it would be amazing! :D
Delivers a nice little pinball game. Good gameplay, solid sound. Nice work.
Audio effects are pretty good, but kindah wish there was a background music. besides that a pretty neat pinball game! well done!
A nice little pinball game. Thematically well done, but the art around the bumpers implies there's a wall there that doesn't actually exist, and the gravity is a little slow compared to other pinball games (threw off my timing :( )
The sound effects make the experience very satisfying. I think sometimes the ball struggles to get around the area though leading it to get stuck in a loop. Overall a very unique and fun interpretation of the theme!
The way you incorporated the story into the pinball was pretty neat, and the art definitely helped set the tone of this story. I just wish the gameplay went by a lot quicker, there were a lot of moments where I was just waiting for the ball to land on the bumpers so I could do anything, so I got a bit bored during those moments of down time. The sound design is great, you captured the noises of old pinball machines really well.
Very nice visuals, and pinbal physics, no clipping or other problems! It was quite relaxing but I wish the story would progress a bit faster. Or maybe I am just exceptionally bad at pinbal :) Well done! Great mood with the sound too!
Very good, and multifaceted use of the theme! Only wish the ball felt a little "heavier", and that there was an extra control scheme where the controls were all on one side of the keyboard, so one could play with one hand it would be more accessible.
An engaging pinball game! I enjoyed how the audio design and the art contributed to the theme. I managed to descend but I couldn't get past the third screen. I think that for how nice the level looked it would have been cool to make the ball more visually interesting. Great entry!
I've enjoyed the quest system together with pinball mechanic, it looks good too, but it could have a background music to help with mood, overall is a solid game, well done.
Hey, how cool, a fully functioning pinball game. I really like pinball, so this was great for me. The flipper physics was very good, and I liked the cool ring rotation aspect. Some of the level design was a little unforgiving - e.g. targets placed in hard-to-reach spots where you had to hope the bumpers would help you out. I played through the three goals on the first board and then got to two more boards, but after the third, I shot the ball up to the top and nothing ever happened again - was that the end?
Very cool game. I've tried to program pinball before and it's hard to get the right feel, so I know that is tricky. Graphics and use of theme were very good too.
@dob Yeah there is a glitch with the transition to the end of the game. It was the end.

Is it the end of the game? I'm not getting any more content after the ball left through the top. The way the game incorporates the pinball mechanic with story beats is pretty innovative and I can see that concept be expanded further. But I must say the last part was frustrating cause it was extremely hard to get the ball to fall onto the right paddle.
@maychant yes that was the end. I agree the last part was a little rough. With more time we would polish it out but we were working right up till the end timer.
This is such a good idea! Pinball games are so underated! I think the diamond should have been a bumper, it was really hard to reach the 3rd mission. Overall a really great pinball game! Would have loved to see the ball move faster and the pace be faster too.
I like the art of your game and the physics of the pinball seems to work pretty well. Would add more audio effects into in as well as music. Would also suggest to make the ball move faster or something related to make the gameplay a bit more fast-paced.
That was fun, but it took me a while to complete - I'm glad you gave us infinite lives. I didn't realize I could move the diamond until reading the comments afterwards, which made it a bit harder than it should be :) .
cool art! the controls were a bit odd, would suggest some more audio effects as well! but well done :)
Great entry, I enjoyed the mood of it and the concept of additional objectives beyond just achieving a high score. I found the gameplay a bit frustrating, not too easy - as all pinball should be so that's not a bad thing!
I am no good at pinball, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it. I really liked the ring rotating on a nudge. This is probably the floatiest pinball game I've ever played, but that's probably a good thing, because I am old. Thank you very much for making it! I will likely be back to play it some more.
Would love some background music, but a good pinball game nevertheless!
I love it when they make classic games in new versions!)
Interesting version of pinball, but bad visualization of mechanics
Solid pinball game! Very good art and general presentation. I would have liked some music but overall a really interesting and neat twist on a classic game.
Cool that you've managed to implement so many actual pinball elements! The speed of the ball is very slow though, you could try simply increasing it's weight.
I agree that the ball is a little slow and the natural flow lines don't match up with the targets, so making progress can be excruciating. But I powered through anyway because the pinball implementation is remarkably well done and I wanted to see where the narrative went. Congrats on getting as far as you did in a weekend, overall a job well done!
Nice character design and graphics in general and the idea of the pinball is a nice idea for the theme. Maybe some background music is missing.
This is a very cool idea, and it's well-realized for something made on such a tight schedule. But unfortunately, I has quite a few problems playing the game :slight_frown:
I personally found the visuals to be a bit hard to read. Points of interest didn't really stand out, so it was hard to distinguish walls, ramps, and bumpers from the background art of the playfield. It also felt a bit flat. A bit of gloss on the ball, or some glow around the lights and targets would have helped in that regard, I think.
Also, This is probably the fault of the low-end laptop I played it on, but the ball fell through the flippers several times. I managed to make it to one of the later areas but got stuck when the ball ended up outside the play area: スクリーンショット 2021-10-07 16.02.50.png
But there's still clearly potential here and I particularly like how you managed to tie a pinball game in to the theme of the jam. Well done.
cool, I love pinball - and this one was interesting since it fir the theme somehow :) I would love more things to interact with the ball, and more power to the bouncing materials, but overall a great one!
Wow it's been so long since I played pinball on PC, felt good. The first table takes kind of long so I fear many will give up before figuring out there are multiple tables. The "defeat your demons" took quite some time as well, with nothing much happening apart from me trying to hit that blasted upper left white ball. It kind of lacks the juice of proper pinball but those take time to make, for a 3 days game it is quite an achievement.
