Great game! I love the art, music and voice acting, the game is a little slow but that's ok, when you have an item like the wall paaint or the floor paint, you cannot go upstairs and I was wondering if that was interntional, overall great game! Well done!

Downloaded, clicked play and the monologue started. Then the screen remained black. I guess it's a bug.

Cool! I loved the drawings
Wow, this was amazing.
I simply ADORE the voice acting here, I want this game in an audio book version XD kudos to the voice actor, good work.
The attention to details here is great, like putting stuff on top of a bookshelf. being able to place things in different heights, sit on the table, it all makes it feel very homey. I didn't feel like in a rush playing this game.
The writing was great I kept waiting for the next time a new monologue will start playing. I do like doing decor in games, kinda like the sims. this games lets you put your own touch on things.
there are a lot of games in a game jam, but I didn't expect to find a game that makes you feel something, I'm already attached. I wish there were more games of this style..
I'm so happy you made this game, I'm very impressed.
@paude Hi, the game is supposed to start with black screen and a bit of monologue! Thanks for giving it a try!
@cyberstarlight Oh wow thank you so much, your words mean a tremendous amount! <3 Be sure to check out the people who helped us create it, especially our audio wizards! Enjoy playing this and all the other awesome games!
Your ich.io link gives a 404
I tried both the original and the post jam download, but both start with a blank screen and no sound, I tried to wait it out for a while but nothing happens. I start with the menu and I can get to the paus menu but nothing else is happening.

The art reminded me of some of the old flash point'n'click adventures. When it tells you to press 'a' to move left, it's not immediately obvious that you have to press and hold for a couple of seconds. It seemed like nothing was happening when I pressed it. If you started the character just off to the right of the screen it'd be more obvious that everything is working properly.
Nice and relaxing game that I could see as being a very nice thing to start up when you need to decompress from a long day. The voice acting and narrative is also fantastic.
Interesting. I couldn't color the second flour thou.

I love the game, it's an impressive demo. I really like the narrators voice. Pushing that idea could make a great gimmick game.

@ristoretto I had the same problem with my browser (safari) and had to use Firefox to get the audio to work. It starts black with vocal narration and then, after the narration stops, you have to hold left for a bit until your character pops up. The narration tells you that but if you can't hear it, obviously you wouldn't know. I hope you get it to work!
Correction: I just noticed you downloaded, didn't use web, and didn't get audio. Sorry bout that.

Interesting game. Impressive voice acting and clear connection to the theme. Not so sure I had fun, though...

What a great atmosphere! I was totally engulfed in decorating my home! The only thing taking me out of the relaxing experience was the constant door noise and waiting for the screen to pan. I think I discovered a small bug: I wasn't able to access the top left room anymore at some point. Also would have loved to place items on tables instead of throwing everything on the floor :D Is it possible to get the monologue separately? I feel like I missed some deeper meaning while running through my house. Also you have an incredible voice :)
The sound worked in the browser!
I like the mix of decorating rooms and the voiceover which reminds me of the beginners guide. I also think that it works well that you get one box at a time, not too much stuff to choose from at the same time.
Although it felt like the character walked too slowly, and it feels too cumbersome to walk with an object from the door to one of the top rooms and then go back and pick up a new one. I think it might work better without a moving character and instead with a mouse interface, like in little inferno.
Would be cool if you got a moving box filled with different stuff so you have to unpack it and put some of the stuff temporarily on a table or something. I think it would feel more like the messy experience of moving in real life!
Really cool idea! Walking around with the character felt a little slow, but I have a hunch that was intentional
I like this concept a lot! Seems like it could be a very relaxing game if fleshed out a bit more. I also like that you can play entirely with one hand without having to mix the mouse into things. Great job!
Cool idea, the whole game felt a tad slow however I did really like the voice acting. The sound design and music was great as well, fittingly thought-provoking. Great job!
This is a really nice game, the narration really ties it together, and the mechanics seem interesting. I could see this being a part of a bigger narrative style game as you acquire items to make your empty house your home. Amazing job!
wooooow this is feels lot like stanley parable 2d ... very challenging choice
and it is impressive how you manage to achieve something so nice
from the start the voice is like woooow this is cool
and it interrupts and seems to change so smoothly when I enter the house, it gets you focused on the experience
this has some true potential
I can see me playing this until I see every line of dialogue (like i did on stanley parable)
some things i noticed ... (web version, which you mentioned maybe kinda buggy)
* the trigger to go up the stairs seems not to work always
* going through the rooms too often made me a bit dizzy (particularly the first floor ... room > stairs > room)
amazing idea and take on the theme btw!
