Wow, i am amazed how much game you placed in such small window, you are a wizard.

Wow, i am amazed how much game you placed in such small window, you are a wizard.
I'm not sure if i did something wrong, but i couldn't seem to jump or progress the level, apart from that it looked and sounded really nice :)
Looks very similar to nuclear throne
Pretty good all around, i'm not sure if i missed something or what, but sometimes my sword would not kill the enemies.
I cant read that fast :(
Pretty neat little game!
Pretty nice graphics, tho the gameplay is too slow :/
The button is a lie!
That was beautiful universe, i couldn't stop looking at it, all the sparkling stars.
Nice visuals and audio, if there was a bit more gameplay it would be really nice game :)
Wow this is amazing! Favorite Jam entry so far :D
Where is the room tho? :)
My favorite part is speeding trough the trees while speed boosting.
Little laggy/low framerate and i have monster pc.
Pretty nice game, seems like refusing travelers has no point since you get fined so much.
Pretty nice little experience, i liked to map it all out in my head, i wish there was rotation involved, like being upside down or sideways, etc.
It was pretty nice game, that said i felt like the mouse sensitivity was bigger enemy than the demon :D
Wow, its so simple yet so good.
Pretty good all around, really liked graphical style!
Undeads want pie too!
Decent game, not sure if intended but you could shoot from multiple sides at once.
Very good twist on the one room theme :)
I like how smooth it plays, wish it lasted longer or had more depth to it :)
Pretty cool, kind a buggy tho,got stuck in a fight forever.
I just aimlessly wandered around, just like in real life :D
My favorite LD37 game so far after checking 50 games. Graphics are excellent, audio and mood is great, the way you learn from your deaths is very cool!
The only thing that bothered me a bit was the blinking/blur trails in dreams, they gave me a little head ache.
Very simple and certainly fun, great job!
Looks interesting from screenshots, but i couldn't get it to run. Most likely problem with avast :/
Visually very pleasing, but gameplay wise kind of lacking, they leave so quickly i couldn't even manage to drag the items on them.
Is it actually possible to finish it? I feel like i did everything and did all the talk/interrogation options but couldn't get progress apart from that very nice and calming game :)
Pretty fun game, i enjoyed it! Plus you can learn which countries are on which continents :)
I am not sure if i understood the game, cause i couldn't last longer than 30 seconds
Pretty fun, the timed levels seemed kind a hard tho.
I like how eventually it develops kind of a eco-system where the blues and yellows defend each other and same for reds and greens.
It would be nice if you could move the repel cursor out of the room so that they don't get stuck on walls/corners.
There is no way to exit the game, once your in, you'r stuck for rest of your life fishing :D
Very fun, kept me playing until i won. Got 70% with 0% battery left :D
That's pretty interesting way to control the bot, its like a game within game.
Pretty nice game, cool particles, unique sound, the screen spinning so much made me a bit dizzy.
If its based on minesweeper then the first click should always be 'safe' cause there is no real way knowing if its safe or not. Also it seemed to reveal all good servers like 95% of time, which makes it super simple. I played on Web version.
Thanks everybody for playing and rating!
I agree there should have been some markers to indicate where/how to repair stuff and as for the hard controls, i did want them to be hard but i could have definitely balanced them a bit to make them feel a bit better :)
Again thanks everyone for feedback! I released update which fixes some minor control problems, including accidentally exiting the capsule. I should have really released this update like 2 weeks ago, but i was very busy :/
The game was overall pretty much great! Short and to the point, visually pleasing and felt very polished. I am actually amazed that you managed to nail all the categories so well in such a small time period. The dark side of the world and how it corrupted the grass was pretty cool idea too.
There is almost nothing bad that i can mention except it felt like the world was maybe missing a bit more foliage and seemed plain. Also one note about the game file, i had trouble launching it, due to avast antivirus, this is nothing new with gamemaker exe files, one way to get around this issue is exporting the game in zip. So would have been nice if there was also and .zip download, that's about it.
It was pretty fun at beginning, but after a while it kind a gets out of balance and just becomes too grindy. You reach a point where almost all the guys are small and thus kill you easily, on top of that when they are small they seem to knock you up in the air immobilizing you and combine that with the atom level change freeze/stopping and all the fun goes out the window. Another problem i feel is that the droped protons and neurons disappear too fast and also glitch disappear, like they disappear when falling from a height and sometimes when you collect them with the collection skill, it will fling them and they will disappear too.
So in short, beginning fun, mid to end not so much.
That said i really liked the whole atom idea.
@cerno-b You pretty much summed it all, thanks for the feedback! I am still pretty green when it comes to making games and still have lots to learn. Now i don't know if will iterate on this game as i have some other projects that are waiting to be done, but who knows, maybe i might do it at a later time.
@aviland Thanks for the good laugh!
Very fun, and for how simple it was it didn't even feel repetitive. Graphics and audio were also a perfect match for the gameplay :)
Nice little game, i like challenging games so i was intrigued to figure out the controls, but i don't think most people feel the same way. Visually very pleasing, the blurred effect of background looked really nice. The music and sound was very calming and together made the game quite relaxing.
Maybe something like "select the biome" at start could be helpful, since it wasn't exactly obvious. Overall pretty nice game!
It is a pretty nice game, graphics, audio and gameplay mixed together perfectly, very polished! I'm not sure if i missed something but it seemed that you can run out of resources, just like in a real world, kind a nice touch.
Nice little game, short and fun, its nice to know that i don't have the shortest game on LD, your is way more fun tho.
I like it! I probably spent more time on it than i should have, which is good, i created some fruit bush that spread like wildfire and gave me great profits.
I really enjoyed it, but sadly at some point it got stuck when i had to choose a reward from an enemy, when i would click it nothing would happen. Other than that it was very well put together!
Wow absolute :gem: !
Very chill game, very cool audio.
Wow very well rounded game, and it gets a bit moody at the end
I thought id leave my hi-score as well here: 3718 It seems like it doesn't really penalize you for killing innocents.
Very nice game, reminded me of the "Flag" game or whatever it was called, i think it was old windows 95 game or something. I enjoyed it! Also I did @teapoly challenge of not using drain.
Pretty cool game!
I like how everyone has different results, just like the actual jam, in fact it really captures the sacrifices you make in the jam. I love it!
Yeah i wish i could have had enough time to get the mutation part in, without it it does feel a bit shallow, but oh well, i might make a more flushed out version later for itch.io. Anyway thanks for the feedback guys
@keithdae Yeah, i had planed a population regulation in concept, there was gonna be "Unstoppable" waves that you would have to sacrifice jellies for, like they would blow up in a super strong explosion. Also the idea behind jelly growth, and with it multiplication, was gonna be different, you would grow much slower by default and get "xp" from enemies to grow them instead, so with that your jellies would have been more valuable, and also a bit harder to overpopulate.
@yellowzombie Hah, no that's the first time I hear of ECS, I think i mentioned that i wasn't touching Unity or coding for half a year before this event, so I slapped together pretty crazy spaghetti code  However that definitely looks like a nice way to optimize stuff, if I decide to finish and improve the game.
@onnofal Haha yeah i should have added some mute buttons for both music and sound effects, pretty sure this was first time i ever made background music, doesnt help that i did it within like 5-10 minutes
@mgsx Well you are supposed to sacrifice the jelly in the sacrifice pit in the center
I might make a post LD version in January, if i wont be too busy.
Wow, just wow! This is a true gem! Gameplay, mood, graphics and audio is incredible, and on top of that you nailed the theme! Amazing experience! Even tho i want to go to bed so badly i still finished the whole game, the ending was interesting.. :open_mouth: Not sure if its possible to have different ending states, but it still was a nice story. Gameplay was interesting, and every level had different chalanges. I'm suprised that you managed to make so much content :open_mouth:
Some of the dialogue was a bit speedy but that didn't really subtract from the game. Also i barely got to use the bombs.
Not only the game is top-tier but you are also clearly very talented.
Interesting game, had a little difficult time figuring out the game mechanics, but on the 2nd go i was mostly good. Maybe you should keep the tutorial text that shows under buildings in the main game as well, also would have liked some more info on how certain gameplay mechanics worked, like the leader for example. I made it to year 31. Seems like the villages doom is kind a inevitable.
Who needs sleep, work, chores when you can play games all day. It appears the timers are running while you select characters, cause i started with couple meters already red and failed. Also it seemed that sleep at some point got unquenchable, even when i was doing it, it would go down faster than i gained it. Overall pretty nice little game.
Spooky, strange, weird, unique and a little unsettling :D
Interesting game, I had a similar idea for my game, sadly I didn't had time to implement the mutation part. The few times I played I seemed to win kind a out of nowhere, I feel like I was losing on the map in terms of overall strength, but by sacrificing the weak it sent my gene pool high enough to win.
Simple and overall very nice little game, i like it :)
First off, amazing art and awesome music! The game is short and sweet! I replayed this a lot just trying to get better high score and trying to figure out what sacrifices works the best. Also the very first sacrifice i didn't realize that they were bad and choose the loss of color, and it took me like 3 sacrifices to realize that they were bad, its amazing how accustomed we(or I at least) are to level ups being good thing. Anyway i enjoyed this game quite a bit and it caught me offguard. It's definitely one of those "Just one more try" games. My highest score was 109 and I got greedy and died trying to get all the juicy souls in the middle.
Kind a nice game, great art and fun spin on sacrifice. I got spooked when you introduced the diagonal arrows, and it all went down hill from there, or should i say down a volcano.
Definitely unique and creative idea, too bad it was kind a buggy. I had some trouble with changing resolution, also got stuck on level 2 and couldn't progress.
I wanted to say that it was a bit unbalanced, and easy, until i suddenly got destroyed by debt. In the end it was the corporate greed that doomed the world
Looks pretty interesting, had some performance issues on the web player, this includes coconuts falling trough ground. Had a bit of trouble finding how to craft, I even checked the instructions and i still had to guess that the button was C, also the craft menu didn't seem to work, i could only fill the first slot.
Other than the performance and crafting issues it looks pretty nice.
Cool little game! I kind a found it weird that you didn't use the graphics from the info pages for the ants. I liked that the infomercials gave actual facts about real life ants. Also "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya!" :heartbeat:
@nurkkacthulhu Thanks for the feedback! I am already working on it
Also i added web-browser version on itch.io, for ease of use.
Really nice game! At first I couldn't understand why nothing worked, but then I realized I was trying to use WASD instead of arrow keys, I actually completed the first level without pressing anything . The controls are actually pretty nice, I like how you lose control if you go to far. And overall the look is very polished.
I made a similar game, but mine doesn't look or plays nearly as good as yours.
I liked it overall, very polished look, straight forward game loop . One thing I think is definitely missing, is the ability to speed up the game. Other than that I really enjoyed this game.
@jam373 Hey thanks for the great feedback! I fully agree with everything you said, and had thought about making some more interesting things, like different satellite types and maybe even more RTS type stuff, like capturing planets and maybe some resource management. Like you said it could get really wild haha, but obviously due to time limitation, I was only able to capture a little bit of the possible .
@aune Thanks! And yeah you can do some fun stuff, like SQUARE ORBITS! :sunglasses:
squareOrbit.gif
@flying-dog-fish Thanks! Yeah it can be hard, but then again space and rocket-science is hard . But yeah, as of right now, the planets are really close to the star, making their orbital periods quite fast and space for stable orbit around them very tiny, so hopefully in next bugfix I will remember to either move them further away to slow their orbital periods or to slow down the simulation.
At the same time currently there are no limitations on spawning satellites and using satellite fuel, so technically you can go crazy with spawning them and control them indefinitely.
As for adding more levels/content, I will consider doing that for Post-LD version! I also considered adding MULTIPLAYER but time will tell if that will happen.
@sli Thanks! Haha I'm glad someone actually destroyed the planet!
@anguss Thanks, I hope it will only get better and prettier!
@moffkalast, @thesnide, @annie-owl, @meatball Hey everyone thank you so much for playing, rating and giving me your feedback, I appreciate it a lot.
I finished it! It was nice and chill and I enjoyed it! Maybe the puzzles felt a bit too easy, but overall I think the experience was great!
Edit: Also forgot to mention, that when the elevator part was happening I thought you will pull Portal and throw me in a pit of fire or something
Even though the game and graphics are very simple, you absolutely nailed it! It's amazing how cool you can make your game look with so simple graphics, if you know how to do it. Although a bit hard at the end I really enjoyed it and finished it! :clap_tone1:
Nice take on the loop theme! Overall nice, simple and short, I finished the game.
Did the blood do anything or was it just for visual? I thought it would maybe heal you, but the "Player" being on a rampage and all, it would always break before I could try it.
Nice little strategy! I like it, although it might seem hard at first, once you understand what's happening its fairly easy, at that point its more about how fast you execute moving your factories and switching targets enough to cover all the attack vectors. Definitely has some potential for an interesting strategy game if developed a bit more!
Always makes me happy to see another RTS
Nice little game, pretty good game loop, the 2nd level felt a bit hard at first, but then I found out you could get chain cannons. One minor visual improvement could be if you made the range graphic much higher resolution, its veeery blurry due to upscaling. Also the Orb cars attacks is kind of unclear, it's hard to see any effects it has, since the actual damage is either applied at the end of animation or at the beginning? not quite sure..
Anyway overall I enjoyed it and liked it!
Great game! Its very well polished and well rounded, the only lacking part might be the theme. So far I made it to level 4 and I am enjoying it! A bit confused about health and shields, as in why or when I take damage.
Edit: Managed to get to level 9 and also got the card bug that made it so I couldn't progress.
Nice, simple and short, I finished all the puzzles and enjoyed it!
There was a bit of a bug on one of the levels.. You can bypass it by pressing the button above the ball though. Screenshot 2020-10-14 200250.png
