Overall the idea of the inverted world is awesome and would be a good starting point for a fantasy story.
I really love how you actually recorded narration for your game. That's something I always wanted to do in my projects but never got around to. I also appreciate how the camera has some inertia. This makes the game feel very smooth.
Now on the downside, I think you know this, but the game is really short and you cannot die. Also the jumping mechanics don't seem to have a real purpose.
It seems like you ran out of time, which is unfortunate because I can totally see how this game could have become a neat little experience with a bit more fleshed out story and actual things to accomplish.
Maybe you can spend some more time on a post-compo version with more narration and adventures. I would revisit it. Tag me if you do.
@cerno-b You pretty much summed it all, thanks for the feedback! I am still pretty green when it comes to making games and still have lots to learn. Now i don't know if will iterate on this game as i have some other projects that are waiting to be done, but who knows, maybe i might do it at a later time.
@aviland Thanks for the good laugh!
Yeah, maybe write a post mortem and be sure to include a section about "lessons learned". Read it before you participate next time and pick one or two things that you want to improve most. That seems to work pretty well for me.
lmao
Like @cerno-b has mentioned, the game is extremely short, but the narration is nice. And there's a lot of potential for a narrative.
The obvious comment is that the game is brief, but I have to say that the abrupt end kind of made me chuckle. :P I know it didn't really matter too much in such a short game, but I would note that having the enemies move at the exact same speed that you do could cause problems in your future games.
Congrats on taking a shot at something you're not comfortable with (concerning the art) and keep it up!

The abrupt ending made me chuckle. It's a bit of a shame that you did not do more with the nice assets you created. Everything has a good amount of polish so if there would have just been more of it, that would have been great.
I like that you recorded narration it was a nice touch.
This is a very interesting idea, I just hope there is more! :D
I guess it's better than nothing... congrats on completing a game!
Okay the game is super short, but I love the excellent humour.
It was short but it made me laugh! Good job!
Very funny, especially when the Game Over screen popped up. I didn't mind at all that it was short. It was a funny disruption of expectations for the game to end so quickly. The inverted world was extremely cool and was the main reason I clicked on the thumbnail.
Short, but kinda sweet :) I like the inverted world idea.
Short, but funny. Worth the 20 Seconds I put into it. Thanks for the submission!
