OH MY GOD THEY ARE MULTIPLYING! :O
It is a really funny concept and I like the style of the game... but... could you PLEASE make a version where the cat can eat those... monsters? :D

I planed to make some kind of path in the white fog, but I didn't have enough time for it! I really hope the description can help.
Those ideas were more or less jokes... those ideas were before I completely changed the concept of the game! The platforming part was more or less a filler for gameplay. I just didn't want to make a "art game" without any gameplay at all (it seemed to risky to me...)
And the cat... I am actually quite sorry for that... at 2 am after 38 hours of modelling and programming (more modelling) i tought it was funny... :/
BTW: I really thought that the platforming part was MUCH to easy.. it is probably a disadvantage of programming a game... you get much to good at it! :D
and one last thing: you really haven't missed very much after the platforming part! (I don't want to spoiler here... but it is at the end of the game!
Just run to the roads and you will find the city. The slot machine breaks down as soons as it touchs the floor. I really should have made a sound for that. The particle effect is nearly invisible...
The sound of this game is awesome! This could have been a really great game... you should consider continuing it.
Only negative thing: is there a bug that disables the controls?
It is exactly as Gaeel said: the art is cool, but the background is boring. The confetti idea is really funny, but what made me literally laugh were the nyan heads popping out of his army! :D
So... you made a 2d pixel-art based game... in unity3d? :D
If I wouldn't know about the advantages of unity I would say you are crazy!
I really like the style (the rotating asteroids!), but unfortunately the idea isn't really new and the game just ends as soon as a impossible number of asteroids fill the whole screen. Maybe you can make a more complete game the next time (with similar pixel art :)
I have the same problem! (Chrome on Windows 7)
Oh I got it.. the Link is in the description! The "Web" link leads to the source...
Is it just me, or does the recruitment not work?
Maybe it could have been more fun if the game was a bit faster, but like this it was just kind of boring...
I think you should increase the gravity... bouncing around and sticking to the walls was kind of fun, but the low gravity made everything so slow.
Also the music is REALLY weird!
That game is awesome! I really like the graphics, those lighting effects are just cool. The audio was really good as well. It's really fun to play as well.
A little bug: you can only conquer the core with connections that were there at the beginning. Your own connections don't work.
That game is really hard! I like it. Maybe the screen could be a little bit larger.
Thanks!
Thanks! Now the main feedback for the "rage-level" is of course the speed of the character and the damage increase... the jump reload-thing is the green flash of light.
It was more a experiment to make a game without a GUI (but still some information for the user)
@Skyshifter Yeah I know... I even had about two hours left for the soundtrack, but I was just too tired to think of something that would fit to the game.
@NuSan That's a great idea! Maybe I'll add it to the game... and a online highscore list as well...
@peggiosoft you got hit by the artillery!
@bentog The robot and its animations was the thing I spent the most time on... Almost the entire first day. It is also the first time I made a animated character for a game, so I'm really glad that you noticed the work behind it!
@CoffeeOnimal You become MUCH faster if you destroy a lot of stuff in a short time.
A fun little game with a really nice atmosphere! The AI is as bright as a well cooked potato, but somehow that felt right in this game, there just isn't place for intelligent predators here. The only thing I didn't really like is that the pillars change randomly without any indication where they will be next. But with the relaxed AI that didn't matter too much in the end.
Very good execution. I didn't complete it though, I would have if every level would be repeated individually, but having to restart from the beginning for multiple times was too frustrating.
Too bad you didn't have the time to make this game actually playable. The idea seems like it could be fun to play!
There is one main room, so in my opinion this fits the theme quite well.
The game itself isn't especially innovative, but somehow it's still one of my favorites until now! I'm a fan of puzzle games, but I dislike games where I have to search for a small hidden detail for a long time, so your game is almost perfect for my taste! You used a very small amount of game mechanics, but built a game that has a finished feeling to it. I especially liked the level design (making me think, but not too hard... I'm too tired for hard thinking right now!) and the sound design (Those 4 goal buttons are especially nice)!
The only thing I found a bit annoying was the size of the main room, it feels like it could be more compact than it is, without losing any gameplay. Well, making things compact takes time.
Good work!
Really nice game! I could easily imagine this being a larger game with multiple stages of enemies and turrets.
It may literally be toilet humor, but I think the basic idea was kind of funny. I just wish the game was less buggy. Well, at least now you know why probably everybody else used a game engine instead. It's just a lot easier and more efficient. Kudos for trying though!
I'm not really a fan of RPG Maker games, but I'll try to be fair anyways.
The game itself is kind of funny, I like the idea of adding the intro as a minigame later, although it felt a bit out of place at the start.
There's really not much to say about the game itself to be honest, it ends before it starts. Well, still props for trying, I hope your partner doesn't drop out next time!
Overall a nice and good looking game, I just wish you would have allowed window resizing, right now it's just tiny on my 4k screen!
Windows 10 here, I have the same problem as @amras0000, but with a slightly greenish background.
Yeah, that's the problem with local multiplayer games on Ludum Dare, even if they are fun, a lot of people won't be able to play them
Well, that's rather grim. I'm getting a bit Dwarf Fortress atmosphere from your small innocent messages describing cannibalism and poop eating. I could imagine this game being quite fun with an actual goal. Like this it is a nice sandbox, but obviously not much of a game yet. Well, it's Ludum Dare, so good work! And props for working alone!
Just as a side note, your game doesn't scale correctly on 4k. To be honest neither does our own game, so I have no idea how to fix that.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it!
@Davision, what OS are you on? We've only tested it on Windows. It should be possible to use the enter key too, if the menu itself is at fault.
We actually never got stuck while testing, so I don't really know how to fix that. Falling off was meant as a easter egg, it should only happpen when you walk far back in the room, further than necessary to move the chests, but maybe we should have made that more obvious.
A really nice idea, graphics and sound are well done too, but the enemies are extremely hard to hit. Dying after one hit might me realistic, but it's just frustrating in this case, especially with horizontal shots thought the windows. Closing the windows would be great if they would close faster!
Maybe you should have added the current mode as a hard mode and made a easier mode as well. With half of the enemy movement speed and no damage to the player.
