OMG, at first I though you had to give him all the fish.
The ending depends on the quantity of fish given?

Thanks for all the cheers! I really appreciate them.
@FrankieSmileShow: If you stand by the stop's poles and you click on the character, he will kick the pole ;)
@Nonakesh, @namrog84: Yes.. Sadly there is a bug. Clicking repeatedly and fastly seems to 'trigger' this bug.
I may consider to continue it!
After reading your post, I was very looking forward to try this!
But I've got a Mac...
Nice game!! A large level! It took me.. almost 20 min, maybe? Not sure.
Though the first part, I played it from a top-down view, as I didn't know I could move the camera angle... LOL
It got a bit boring at the end. Maybe because there weren't red ropes to get. Maybe some foes would have given more 'life' to the game.
To sum up, a very large level to play, which could be great if it was more fun, nice graphics, and maybe lacks some sounds.
I also wonder, why does it jump so high every 15 seconds? A human it's shaking the snowball?
Great work!!
It looks great, but no Mac version to try :(
Try to make a web/Mac version next time! :)
Super nice, easy to play and lovely! :3
No web/Mac version?
Try to make a web/Mac version next time! :)
Mac? D:
Oh! The plot makes it look like a cool game to play!
What a shame there is no web/Mac version :( Try to make one for your next LD! :)
Excellent pixel art animation! The music is also great, getting faster and complex in the stressed state. It also was a bit buggy.
In the 4th-5th level I got stuck into some block during the transformation, so I haven't been able to finish the game :/
The most annoying thing can be the hitboxes (like you mention), and that when you turn to left or right, the player moves a lot, possibly, the sprites are not centered.
But good game!
Try to make a Mac/Web version for the next time, please! :)
No web or Mac version.. try to make one for your next LD! :)
Amazing. But, even though it's great, it got repetitive after 2-3 min or so. However, big piece of art!! :D
Hey! Try to make a web/Mac version next time ;)
No web/Mac version! You could get more reviews if it was more compatible!
Wow, I'm looking forward to get into a Windows PC to try this!
Lidfrid, this game is emmense!
The design, the concept, the gameplay, the music, the fx, ... everything!
Wow! It looks so good! I wish I could try it! - No web/Mac version :(
Interesting! AI is an inspiring field!
Oh, I can't play it :( Try to the deploy your game to a web/Mac version next time! :)
Oh! I love it! And I laughed at myself when I failed (a couple of times) to evade the lava pit, or whatever is it hehe
Wow, wow, wow.
So this great game is made by some of the people I most admire in the community?
Derek, whose game Blocks I have gladly installed on my iPhone!
Filippo, whose music is always refreshing and emmense!
I don't know much about Mike, I shall investigate! haha
Well guys, great... wait, no.... awesome game!
I like the fact you can jump farther if you were running at a higher speed; the art is incredibly well done; the music, as always, delightfull!
I did notice some slowdown, but surely cause because of my low RAM!
Thumbs up "cracks" !!
Nice graphics! But no Mac version...!
No Mac version! What a shame!! D:
Web/Mac version?
I didn't make it in a level that you had to jump all over a high obstacle. However, I liked the gameplay. It felt like a superhero with that ball.
Wow, I did try this game a week ago! And I love it! Though, I find it quite difficult finding 'strategies' that don't cause the death of your drops. However, that the challenging part! :D
I'm not sure if I ended the game.
Well, great gameplay. I find it quite innovative, and it was really fun. I wish that there was a great designed level to play! If you ever do it, please, tell me!
Try to make a web/Mac version next time! :)
I've love it!
I have always loved the fact of just controlling one player of a team, and the rest controlled by the AI. (Like in my game)
It could have been a bit more difficult.
LOOOOOOOL
I laughed my ass off (literally) after the first two seconds of the game, when I had already taken down Venus and Mercury. I wasn't expecting what the game was really about. Thumbs up!! (For my, you'd be the winner of the 'fun' category ;D)
Oh, and great narrator :P
Very fun! It was challenging! Great graffics, I really like them!
Maybe a nice background music could be a thing to add.
The compo version is better than the post-mortem one!
It's more difficult, because of the lamps dropping, therefore, is funnier. Oh, and nice music.
It should become harder over time, to get the player interested in the game.
Try to make a web/Mac version next time! :)
No web/Mac version? :(
Difficult but cool! I would have liked that the other fish could eat you!
Thanks for all your comments! They mean a lot to me! :D
@robbiehunt: I'm totally looking forward to expand this. Maybe, someday you'll even be able to play it on your phone! (It would be great as another summer project!)
@Raptor85: Yep, it is indeed a bit confusing. I expanded the description in order to explain the needed conditions in order to shoot. Thanks for pointing it ou!
@aaronsnoswell: Thanks! I'll gladly make a blog post about it! I really learnt a lot making this little game!
@Miltage: Thanks! It wasn't very difficult to figure out how to make the shadows after planning the new rendering technique I was going to use! (blitting!)
@zdanielz: I expanded the instructions in order to explain what can you do in the game! Thanks for pointing that out ;)
@davidwparker: Thanks! I love this kind of game, in which you only control one character of a faction! I didn't want to make 'just another platform game'! :)
@TenTonToon: Thanks! I would have loved to make a camera that zooms in depending on the speed of the ship. That way, you could see more details on the graphics. If I had detailed graphics.
After this LD I have figured out that, even though it might seems logic, one of the most important aspects of the game is the idea. If needed, it would be great to spend one or two hours thinking about ideas, getting deep into them. And not always the complex ideas are the killer ones.
Thanks for your comment! :)
@AdventureIslands: Thanks for the recommendation! I'll take note!
@MurrayL: Thanks! Wow, I'm really looking forward to implement multiplayer on this. I have always been thinking about making a multiplayer game in which you only controlled one character of a faction. I could begin making a simple version, using this! :)
Thanks everyone for the comments!
@KevinWorkman: You are right Workman. Shame on me. By the time I post my entry, I didn't know that you weren't able to take fx sounds from the net. The background music is mine, though.
I would have loved to make my own fx, I just didn't have the time, and I picked some fx the fastest I could.
I'm okay if anyone wants to get my game out of the compo and put it in the jam (fair is fair!), nevertheless the result and the experience is already a worthy price for me :)
@KevinWorkman: Okay, thanks for letting me know then! I really appreciate it :)
Yeah, I can't understand neither why we could use someone's engine, and we can't use someone's FX... but anyway, an engine is a tool to make art, the sounds are directly art. It's not like if it was a sound-making program :/
Maybe the rule exists because of that.
What a shame I can't try it!
I won't rate it because I don't get it at all. Just clicking the building, punishing, and nothing seems to happen :/
No web/Mac version! :( Try to make it for the next LD! :)
Well, I ain't an Android tablet... I hope you had fun creating it!
No web/Mac version? :(
No web/Mac version? :/
I liked the messages and the right and so! I found it a bit difficult. To hard to hit them when there were a lot of them. :(
It was a bit short, but I enjoyed it. The character was well designed, as well as other parts of the game. Maybe the background was too simple.
Maybe my biggest complain is that every time you press 'A' in order to attack, it resets the animation, so if it hasn't been completed, you don't deal dammage, but anyways, it was nice having to coordinate the movement.
I can't figure out how to play. Maybe it doesn't work on Safari? If you reply me, alert me on twitter so I can try it again, please. (@AirRider3)
Brilliant! I loved the game. I tried to get all the endings. Cheers!
Nice graphics, amazing content for just a weekend, but I kind of felt without a goal..
There is no Mac version; it looked good. :(
Thank you everyone for the pleasing comments! :)
@Shmarah: something fun was one of the goals! I'm glad I achieved it. :) Thanks!
@kato9: Glad to hear that, thanks! :)
@kyyrma: And simple games are also easier to create! (usually). Thanks!
@Qaterknan: Thanks! :O Yeah, the idea of the game is the classic fish game in which you eat the smaller ones, or like in Spore's cell stage, kind of.
I put 'Upcoming crash' because I had been recently using Objective-C, and when you try to access a non existing index of an array, it crashes, so I just assumed that the same would happen. I didn't notice the game would go on using 'undefined' until I was able to play the whole game today. :)
Thanks everyone again!
I got a bit stuck in one of the levels. I like challenge though :] Top notch presentation, and I love the tiny details, like the character's hand following the mouse cursor.
I agree with @netguy204, one or more gameplay aspects should be added to make it more challenging!
Great team work, as usual. :)
Lol, I didn't actually think you could win this.
Great in general. I liked the fact that it was hard, and I couldn't help but die eventually. :<
That was intense, combining pixels always at the last second! I didn't get stuck as many people comment above. I also felt like mixing the RGB colours was an innovative concept.
It's a shame there's no much to do.
Is there any level after level 2? Because I kind of got stuck there, and I wonder how much I am missing from the game. :/
Anyways, I enjoyed it very much, the procedurally generated music is very relaxing and a nice touch. You could easily turn this into a good App for touch devices. (Feels more natural to swipe the rows/columns)
Nice! The first time was difficult. The second time easy. But I liked feeling impotent the first time, even helping the enemy destroying the towers. (stahp!)
Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate them! :)
@mchaza: I agree with you, if you play using 'WASD' it gets a bit hardcore. Playing with a gamepad is much easier, the analog lets you control the thrust and it feels quite natural. (at least to me)
@Hadyn: Yeah, sadly it's quite an exploited mechanic. The game evolved in different ways. In the beginning, I created a prototype of an 'universe'. Even in the actual version, every 'cell/planet' is attracted to each other using Newton's law of universal gravitation.
After having the universe model complete, I was not very sure how to follow. I started working at 23.30 PM Sunday, so I couldn't make something very difficult to code either. I was thinking about a space shooter, in which the ships were affected by the gravity of the planets, and you had to escape from other ships/destroy them, collect some floating cargo... (I might make that game on my free time, seems it seems fun). Or a racing game in which you have to race through checkpoints.
I ended up with this game though. I tried to polish it as much as possible, adding sound effects, improving the design, adding the gamepad support. I'm actually pretty satisfied with the results, since it's my first solo game with gamepad support, and using html5!
About the levels, I did have planned to make them harder and harder, and giving a name to each of them. It might be disappointing to know that each level is as hard as the rest. Thanks for your comment! :)
@BloatedHippo: Thanks! A friend of mine doesn't get any sound either when playing it on Linux using.. ¿Chromium?. I guess I'm not using a completely cross-browser/platform solution for the music. :/
Best LD game so far. The death cries... :')
dat ass
