LD23 — Tiny World

Bactarium by csanyk 2012-05-08T04:55:00

Really nice graphics. Seemed like my bacteria only really wanted to respond some of the time, it never moved all the way to the mouse cursor. Visually interesting though and a nice idea. A bit on the easy side, but nice work!

WTF World by Misfit 2012-05-11T03:43:00

Interesting mechanics, challenging. Found it a bit frustrating at times though. Really liked the puzzles involving the screen position to access areas. Prefer that over the platforming.

Spaceship In The Sky With Colors by fysx 2012-04-26T15:58:00

Very, very cool. I picked up on the gameplay and mechanics almost immediately with no tutorial! Oh...btw I got really nervous playing it. Might need to play next time with a glass of bourbon :)

Petri by Tomalla 2012-05-11T03:33:00

I really enjoyed the music/intro. Game was fun and had a nice variety of challenges. Could be interesting om a touch device!

Corgi Recon Force by sirpalee 2012-05-11T03:23:00

running windows 7 64 bit, co-workers laptop (maybe doesn't have VS 2008 SP 1?) stuck at black screen. sounds cool, wish i could play

Sun Bringers by ChronoDK 2012-05-03T01:38:00

Very interesting. Like everyone else it took me a bit to figure out how to play. Well done!

Cereal Prize Astronaut by MutagenMan 2012-05-08T03:02:00

Nice atmosphere but trying to move the astronaut was frustrating. I would love to see the lighting and graphics implemented into an exploration game!

Phobius by deejorg 2012-04-26T16:22:00

What a wonderful game. The claustrophobia mechanic is great, the level physically changing from panic seems really interesting. I hope you consider investigating this mechanic further!

Grow by Zerot 2012-04-26T06:18:00

Nice concept, I enjoy games where players controls forces of nature. I think the graphics could use more work to give feedback to the player when they are doing things right/wrong (As others have said). Like the simple controls.

Your Little Tale by LFleck 2012-04-26T02:59:00

Really like the idea. Was not sure what to do though, sometimes I got feedback from my actions through graphics or the meters, other times nothing seemed to happen when I clicked an icon. So I ended up just randomly selecting icons. With work it could be a very fun and amusing game. Great start!

Lililput by Incredible Ape 2012-04-27T00:42:00

Love how even the details on this page are all scrambled. Great!

Puny World by villhest 2012-05-13T23:39:00

nice idea and atmosphere, i really enjoyed being able to launch an asteroid and then rotate around and watch it collide with the planet. Definitely unfinished though, and game crashed at one point.

Fuseglow by spacerumpus 2012-04-27T03:00:00

Enjoyed it! I used to read Choose Your Own Adventure stories as a kid.

Tinytanic by maartenwiedenhof 2012-05-11T21:40:00

very cool. surprised there are so few comments. Great mood and humor.

Pieces by john_conder9 2012-04-26T05:38:00

Audio was interesting, created a nice whimsical mood, fit with the art style. Liked how the tempo of the music increased, was it with speed of falling?
Some of the jumps were near impossible on the keyboard, and the camera was well...you know. Anyway, very nice work!

Tiny Vessels by xel 2012-04-26T04:22:00

Excellent presentation.

Dead Run by Kortuga 2012-05-12T03:26:00

Music was great! Unfortunately I am running windows on a mac and trying to use left and right mouse click was very frustrating.

DANCING NINJA! by Jabu 2012-05-12T03:36:00

Wow. I don't now if I love your game or absolutely hate it. I could not resist to play a game about a ninja going to a club, but your game may be most appropriate at Georgetown as a law school survey on what does and does not constitute plagiarism :) Your game may have just caused me schizophrenia...i am going to go lie down

Watercolour by Super Soul 2012-04-26T02:28:00

Hey vilya. We could not get the game to run when we extracted it using the default windows zip utility. When we used 7-zip to extract the contents of the zip it worked. Not sure why?!? Sorry :(

Watercolour by Super Soul 2012-04-26T02:30:00

Sorry XNA does not work for you MadGnomeGamer. I think next time we might go HTML5, maybe even a dash of WebGL for good measure.

Watercolour by Super Soul 2012-04-26T14:42:00

Hey everyone. Sorry for all the trouble. We will see what we can do. In the meantime, can someone try to extract the zip with 7-zip and see if that works?

Watercolour by Super Soul 2012-05-12T03:00:00

Looks like only about 24 hours left. Thanks to everyone who has already played our game and left feedback and comments. Sorry to everyone who couldn't play, I think next time we will use flash or unity.

Tiny World: The Musical: The Game by pdyxs 2012-04-27T00:18:00

Very unique idea. I wish there was more integration with the voices and the gameplay mechanic. Maybe some way for each paddle type to be associated with the male or female voice? Just trying to throw out an idea. Great work!

Biodome by 7Soul 2012-04-25T22:15:00

Enjoyed the cutscenes. Impressive how much content you all got into the game in 72 hours. Nice work!

WaterdropWorld by barigorokarl 2012-05-07T20:49:00

Very nice concept! Never felt much tension though. Overall, very nice.

van Leeuwenhoek by Johnicholas 2012-04-26T16:06:00

Great presentation and mood. I just wish it was longer.

Magniverse by Erifdex 2012-04-27T01:59:00

Pretty fun. Appreciate trying a different control scheme, kind of frustrating though. Not sure if although different it distracts from the rest of the game instead of enhancing it.

Lodestar by runsintowalls 2012-04-26T02:22:00

It took me awhile to figure out what was going on, but once I got it it was fun (actually it was pretty fun when I didn't understand). Great job! Happy to see some WebGL action.

Searching for Heaven by demonpants 2012-05-07T23:45:00

Great story and game mechanic! Platforming controls were pretty stiff though.

Extraordinarily Awesome Petroleum Male Child! by Kassoon 2012-04-26T07:11:00

Gets really hard! Really cool shift in my perception of the level when my lil petro buddy got so small that many enemies were just stomping in place.

Globe by gavin5564 2012-05-12T02:57:00

very cool, reminds me of a game i played, i think is was called Small Worlds. I liked the change in scale i felt as I explored, I would feel the world was huge, until I ran into the side of the globe and then everything felt small again. Enjoyed the transition of the art as I climbed upwards. I always have a good experience playing exploratory platformers!

TinyGiant by triggs 2012-05-07T20:30:00

Fun, pretty frantic and action packed. I liked the music, matched the tempo of the game.

TinyBot by murilo 2012-05-07T20:42:00

The scientist in the background walking around was great. I enjoyed the art style. Very, very short game unfortunately.

Escape by chrismcr 2012-05-07T20:37:00

Nice audio. The game had a disturbing feel to it. Liked the intro screen. Nice work.

Gulliver by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2012-05-02T03:38:00

Very cool! Really nice soundtrack, great that I could navigate around, reminded me of metroid a bit (In a good way!)
Question: I just started out in flash, made my first game using flixel. How did you build your levels? Did you use an editor?

Gulliver by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2012-05-02T15:49:00

Thanks a bunch! I haven't spent any time looking into level building. I will check out DAME and Tiled. I actually looked at Tiled for our XBLIG game but did not end up ever using it. Cannot comment on it, sorry.

Lost by elektron 2012-05-08T04:29:00

Nice atmosphere and mood. Nice music.

IÄTI by gnx 2012-04-27T00:32:00

Agree with Pacifist Games, really like games based on folklore. Nice addition having the poem displayed during the game. Added both to the mood and also as a form of instruction. Nice work!

Space Jumper by lucars83 2012-05-11T01:18:00

Really liked the orbiting planets, having to use those as platforms. Wish I could play a more refined version, alas 48 hours is so little time. Nice job!
