Clone Wolf by jarnik 2011-05-01T16:03:00
Really love the blood effects, and the cloning is interesting (in a good way), but it is just too easy to just use your sword to complete the levels... Good game overall though!

Wow, this is really good! I'm really loving the art!

whoops! random equals sign :P
NICE
This has got to be the best game ever! Well, at least the funniest :D
Really nice beginning! By nice, I mean bloody scary :) The footstep noise did get quite annoying, but for a short game, you've conveyed a LOT of emotion. Well done!
Awesome! This has to be one of the best text-adventures I've ever played! Well done :D
Very well made game! I love the attention to detail around the base. Especially the graves outside - nice touch :)
Wow... Just wow... Incredible graphics work has obviously been done, which totally captivated me, and drew me into this strange world. Fantastic job! It's been said already, but music, sounds and a proper ending would complete the package. Other than that, it's an awesome point-and-click, that would be a worthy winner.
Fantastic concept - simple, but highly addictive! What's more, you've polished the game to near perfection, which is rare for a Ludum Dare game.
Great work!
Nice work! This has to be up there with some of my favourite LD text adventures ever - 4/5
Awesome! Really enjoyed it! However I did have to restart the first time as -SPOILER- the fire didn't start when I moved the glasses :( Second time worked perfectly though :D Great ending!
Pretty fun game! You got a whole lot done in the 48 hours, it shows because of the amount of levels included! Great work!
I did get quite a bit of lag on the larger levels, too. My machine isn't the greatest spec beast though ;)
Thanks everyone! I really am very sorry about the lack of a proper explanation of what you're actually meant to do - it's my fault for starting late! Anyway, thanks again for the constructive comments, maybe I'll make a post-compo version sometime.
Really nice game. The last level seemed overly hard in my opinion - but that meant beating it was much more enjoyable!
Really interesting game - with a lot of levels done in 48 hours! I enjoyed the fact that you had to think in a very different way than usual - almost as if I was playing through a game like Portal again.
It seems a little unfinished in terms of graphics/audio etc, but the levels provided are varied and interesting. Very good job overall, and I hope you continue working on it!
Ignore my first comment - it seems Dropbox doesn't like it if you try downloading files directly instead of actually visiting the file's download page.
Nice game though! It reminds me of games like Desktop Dungeons, in that you're constantly planning ahead whilst playing.
Thanks all for the great feedback :)
A few of you may be happy to know that I have begun work on a post-compo version that builds upon some of the criticism given. Some of the new features will include:
- The ability to skip the frequent three second delays
- A rethink of the "lives" system - I'm replacing it with a "restarts" system - You have unlimited attempts, but you are scored by how many level restarts you needed to complete all of the levels
- New music (I agree with you, nintendoeats, a 10s tune infinitely looping does get quite annoying :P )
- A rethink of some of the levels - some levels are either too hard or too easy, and I'll try to balance this
- A couple more levels (probably) - by making the game impossible to lose, a few more levels may be necessary, to keep the game from being way too easy.
Thanks again!
Fantastic entry! The music was a highlight for me - really added to the tension in the game.
One of my favourite games so far - great job! I did not expect the platforming controls to be as tight as they are, and the idea fits perfectly with the theme.
Really addicting! Died at level 113 on easy after spamming the space bar. Not sure what the whole "food court" thing is about though!
Thanks everyone for the great comments!
shard123 and Pierrec - My original idea was to create some kind of rating for each word, and then find the average (or something along those lines), but unfortunately, due to (cough) time constraints (cough - laziness), I couldn't get it done. Right now it's just random. But the original idea is definitely on my to-do list for a post compo version!
