Orcs With Forks by chrismcr 2012-01-02T13:54:00
@Jack - Basil d'Sauce-Panne isn't inherently bad, he just attracts Orcs, which are :)

Thanks! We had audio ready but I couldn't get the open source audio library I'd chosen to work on 64-bit windows in time! Most annoying.
Cooked! Neat.
This raised more than a few smiles for me - sure the views are a little small but that just seems part of its charm. Lovely!
Neat! Also, happy birthday! :)
Cute! The music is great.
Took me a bit to figure out the rules about when/how I could shapeshift but overall this is well thought out, and I liked the music.
Found it a bit disconcerting to bash against invisible world bounds (would wrapping work better?) but that was made up for by the ridiculousness of pinging chickens into space. Nice!
Simple but very nice mechanics - though I agree with Terra, I think the narrow tiles should just act like walls if you're large.
Gonna say much the same I think - love the idea, but found it way too hard.
Another vote here for the art style!
Loved the intro and b-movie weeeeird sound effect throughout :)
"small world"! - I wanted to interpret the theme like that but couldn't think of a way to do it. I have no idea who Yume Nikki is but this game leads me to conclude they are nuts. Good job!
Could've done with some kind of threat - looks like that's what the guy in the cave would've been if you'd had time. I thought it was really cute though! Also, your game is like the happy opposite of ours - cool that someone else went with the "escape alien world on a rocket" idea :)
Fun! Though I'm another person not to realise I was meant to aim upwards to arc the missiles :)
Yep, so that comment was meant for another game - that'll teach me to multitask!
I liked the idea of mutations; maybe you could have it so they have side-effects - aggression makes the cell 10% likely to attack his own side or something. There's a lot of scope for making the mutations interact with each other too, I think.
Could be harder, and it'd be nice to convey your health (turning the damaged bits red or something), but otherwise this is great - nice idea, and atmosphere.
First entry that got my "damnit one more go" reflex working - nice job! Love the music and sfx too - the robots "bursting" is very satisfying :)
I'd love to know where the idea for this came from! Particularly making the antagonist a giant space hopper.
Loved the theme tune. Strangely pirate-y :)
Nice! Like an apocalyptic 'rainbow islands'. Loved the layer/focus effect.
Great pixels!
