This is beautiful. Seriously. Trying to figure out what to do and cultivating a a habitable planet is fun. Nice work!

captainicy 2012-04-24 19:39

Nice game! I really like the style and the idea. But I must ask, is this endless or is there a way to "win"? I played it for a while and never did understand what I was really… doing in the long run.

Anyway, really nice job with the animations and the art, coding, etc. Great job for 72 hours. :)

@matthias_zarzecki
Thanks very much.

@CaptainIcy
Thanks for the feedback, at this stage we have not implemented a win condition, we will post a link to the updated version when its available.

gremlin 2012-04-25 17:00

Looks gorgeous. Would love to see the systems expanded and a win condition...the interaction felt a little sparse, but growing a planet like this seems fun.

bubuiic 2012-04-25 19:10

Nice, this is really fun to play, almost got everything grown, but not quite :-)

leafo 2012-04-26 04:59

It's a cool concept but it doesn't really go anywhere. I'd love to see more

rvmook 2012-04-26 16:28

To bad there's not really much going on besides the cool idea. Really nice graphics and concept though

tequibo 2012-04-26 17:57

Very cool mechanics. Needs balancing, progression, win condition and it will be a very interesting game.

chinchang 2012-04-26 18:27

marvelous...sets a nice mood. just that it was much of simulation kind of. Anyways...i liked it :)

airrider3 2012-04-26 19:56

Interesting! AI is an inspiring field!

spooks 2012-04-26 21:24

I love it, one of my favourites! I'm guessing everything here is 2D models (except for the animal)? Really nice work, you should definitely keep adding to this!

gabriel 2012-04-26 22:18

Beautiful! One more entry that reminds me Flow, for the slow rhythm and contemplative nature. Very calm and good to look at, even though it lacks actual game mechanics and is more of a simulator / pretty toy - but nothing wrong with that! I'd love to see this game expanded, congratulations!

desmarkie 2012-04-27 00:27

Looks great! Beginnings of a nice game idea here.

eigenbom 2012-04-27 07:15

Looks great and I like the (mating?) dance..

jigxor 2012-04-27 15:18

Cool mechanic, awesome graphics and nice presentation. I really liked the concept, it would be cool if there was a win condition!

Overall, very nice polished game :)

rodomont 2012-04-29 07:14

This was very cool! Loved the systemic nature of it :) Can't wait to see a more fleshed out version.

ghribacki 2012-04-30 00:54

Nice idea, awesome graphics, too bad there is no sound.
Want to try out the updated version later! =)

r3ason 2012-04-30 01:48

Fun! Beautiful game with simple mechanics! Really enjoyed this one (wish it had a nice ambient sound track to go with it!) Thanks!

ilo 2012-04-30 18:34

Quite the curio you have here. Some LD games of a similar style are very straightforward to make progress in, so I liked how you have to constantly deal with the weather and asteroids here.

mrbarnslig 2012-05-03 06:21

Putting together planets is fun, if anything this LD has determined that! I wish I had a little more agency in the process though - I didn't feel like me moving around the planet did a whole lot - things kind of moved forward on their own, albeit a bit slower. Also the meteorites come in a bit too fast to do much about it. That said, graphics were great, has a nice feel to it. Thanks!

zillix 2012-05-03 08:20

really neat idea, would love to see it taken further!

ilikescifi 2012-05-03 13:45

Great idea! Please make a full game out of it!

ragnister 2012-05-03 18:24

It's easy and funny, you can make a full game, port to mobile and sell it!

niavlys 2012-05-03 20:48

As already said, gorgeous graphics, nice idea, but limited gameplay. I'd love to see this updated.

mooosh 2012-05-04 01:51

this is so neat. great job! I'd love to see this expanding with civilizations and such

Shadow 2012-05-04 02:57

Amazing but simple concept. Would love to see this idea evolve into a complete game (currently lacking win condition and music mainly)

ad-edge 2012-05-04 06:07

Lacking a soundtrack or sfx unfortunately, but this is one nice game to look at!

ratking 2012-05-04 08:07

This is sooo beautiful!

pierrec 2012-05-04 12:27

Interesting concept! It deserves to be developed further!

deejorg 2012-05-04 13:13

Gorgeous looking. I reaaally wanted to keep playing, the idea is pretty fun. You should look more into this and continue developing =D

blob 2012-05-04 19:08

Beautiful game. Would love to see an updated version with an ending and or extra levels.

chambers 2012-05-04 23:39

I like the core mechanic a lot and the graphics are amazing. I'm not sure if I did everything there is to do, though.

azurenimbus 2012-05-05 01:02

Really nice take on a type of game that I normally don't like too much. Made it quite interesting to play by reducing the controls to a beautiful minimalism. Very well implemented, great job! Will be playing more of this in the future.

tom 2012-05-05 09:12

Hey everyone, thanks for all the positive feedback.

We're definitely putting some more work into this game, including devising some sort of goal for the player and making the gameplay a bit more interesting.

We've got someone doing music too. Hopefully we wont take too long getting you the new version!

thief 2012-05-10 12:04

Pity there's no way to win, but it's pretty good.

thotep 2012-05-10 13:49

Figuring it out is fun; impressive what you can accomplish by just rotating the planet.

jonathang 2012-05-12 08:08

It's a nice idea but it does get to the point where the whole planet is covered in trees and you just end up repairing the patches where the meteors land with rain. Looks very nice, and there's a good mood to it which would have been helped even further with some music!
