I lol'd. Nice game!
Really fun game! Loved the menus and just the large variety of things to do (even if they were easy) kept me playing.
I rage quit however when I couldn't complete #1, #18 and 8.
Great game! It was really really hard, but I persevered and finished it. Having instant-respawn was what made it easy to keep playing, despite the challenges. Good decision!
The platform mechanic had quite a lot of depth with all the controls in the end. Nice level design too.
Thank you for the feedback everyone! I hope you all enjoyed it, if only briefly!
@mikolalysenko - I thought I fixed that glitch. Guess not! Sorry!
Absolutely loved the graphics and feeling. There's something magical about walking along on a ship.
The game itself was pretty neat, but I think some more helpful pointers would have been useful. I didn't really understand how to play at first. The first "task" wasn't obvious until I read the comments.
Overall, really nice work! :D
Amazing game! I loved how you introduced the game mechanics piece by piece, and how you didn't need to say how each mechanic worked - you put the player in situations which allowed them to experiment and WORK OUT how a new mechanic played - amazingly "perfect" design!
I finished the game with these stats:
29:09 time
97 deaths
7966 steps
101 crates
That level with all the lasers took me forever. I also died a fair few times on the last level - it was kind of glitchy.
Great art, and I'm surprised that I didn't get bored of the looping track. It was subtle enough. Overall, great job! Well done :D
That was AMAZING! It's my favourite game of the competition! I love the graphical style and the mood. It was super fun! The locking puzzle is an awesome mechanic.
*Spoiler*
It took me a little while to find the first roof hole, I got stuck at that point, but besides that it was really intuitive and fun.
Great game! Well done!

Mysticales - yes the secret involves the ball. You need to take it to the end. You can get it over the wall with the dog. First bounce it onto the ledge above the door, and then onto the roof or another windowsill. If you stand directly underneath/ontop of the ball and jump you can bounce it on your head quite high.
recursor - thank you :)
Andrew - I actually haven't played nightsky, so it's interesting that you've found parallels. When I was making this game it started out as a "toy" which didn't have any hard goals. I found it fun to just run around as a kitten, and so I didn't design the game to be won by simply holding right. I think most of the fun comes from just being a cat and interacting with other objects and cats. If it was a bit short, I hope you still enjoyed it.
Thanks for playing guys!
kernel panic - I'm glad you managed to find the secret :)
Pierrec - glad you enjoyed the ball and destroying stuff!
It's quite annoying to have to download from that site which requires an email address, followed by an installation.
The pixel art is awesome!
Same comments as everyone else. Looks great but not really fun to play. Seems like a lot of 'work' to find the 35 piles of goo which isn't much fun.
Good job for a first effort, but I was left a little confused about the whole experience.
*Spoilers*
I managed to see all the 3 "shakes" and then I walked into space via the path that the NPCs had made, then my screen turned white and that was it.
I don't really understand if there was meant to be some kind of deep meaning behind it all but unfortunately it missed me if there was one.
Pretty difficult at times, I couldn't' get past the second level, I got up to the door and it wouldn't open for me so I got stuck. I couldn't work out how to open the first door either, it just seemed to open after lots of random clicking and button mashing.
Interesting concept and it looks really pretty! Using the hoe on the ground reminds me of Harvest Moon!
I found it a bit difficult to know "what to do" (I know you've said it's exploration, but as someone mentioned before I didn't know what to do with the items I picked up). Overall it was fun to walk around and interact with the scenery. I never did manage to kill one of those bunnies!
I checked out the source, it's interesting the way that you put the subtle noise and vignette with an active object over the whole screen. Looks really neat.
Well done!
Graphical style is awesome. I loved the intro story, that was really funny. The words "Robotting" and "killdroids" are awesome! :)
I love the fluidity of the movements, especially the way the skeletons idly wobble about. Great job! The art style is really cool.
I found it pretty easy to die, you really had to eat/drink quite often to get your health back. Then when you ran out, it became hard.
I also found it very difficult to pick up certain items on the floor. When you had to click the items on screen, they often overlapped UI or it was near impossible to see certain items if you were on the tile next to them (such as rum sometimes), instead I think it would be better to just have a button to collect the item on the tile infront of you (or from the tile you're standing on).
Overall, awesome game! :D
Beautiful graphics. Unique concept. Really awesome job. I won in 24 moves!
I got a 404 too :(
I think that the movement speed was too slow, it took ages to move anywhere or do anything. I also found it quite hard to identify the objects, so to find food for example I just had to go up to every object and press "e" to work out what it was.
Still, well done :)
For an unfinished entry, it's surprisingly fun! The effects look really cool and it's a unique idea (how many games are there were you launch a rocket?!)
I found myself making rocket engine sounds as I went into space!
Some clouds flying past you in the early part of the sky would have been neat.
Great job!
That was awesome! I felt legitimately scared when I first saw the zombie and I needed to leg-it back inside. Great job on that!
Really quite a fun little game. I think you did a very good job at making the mood 'scary' while still being fun and enjoyable.
Great game!
The art style is quite interesting. The "busy" style is quite unique.
The game itself felt like a bit of work as there were a lot of zombies to kill. I didn't make it to the end.
Overall, nice entry!
Pretty hard but quite fun! The music/ambiance suited the game well and the movement and shooting was well done. I am quite a fan of top down shooters.
I found it quite hard to stay alive at times due to the slow fire rate and fast enemy movements (1.01) and it wasn't intuitive to know where to go at times - with the indications being written on the ground. I would suggest perhaps a minimap or an actual map instead would make navigation in the game a little easier.
Overall, great game! Well done!
Great graphics, though the walking animation could use some work. The sounds were a little harsh but better than nothing.
Overall it was pretty fun to play. Great job!
Pretty fun game!
The controls and movement was really nice and tight which was great. It allowed nice precise control over the player.
The storyline at the beginning was quite entertaining and distinguished the game from just another top down shooter. A bit of a different music track might have been nice though :P As wbobeirne said, it became repetitive after a while.
Overall, great job on a fun little game! :)
Really quite a fun little game!
Died 0 times, collected 10 orbs, took 224 steps, took 55 seconds. 9961.
I actually like the tile-based movement, it reminded me of some older games on Windows 95. The graphics could use a bit of work with a bit of variation in backgrounds and a more consistent art style.
Overall, nice work!
Really great job on your first LD entry! Overall it was a pretty fun game, I managed to finish it.
The jumping was a bit weird due to the constant acceleration, the camera that followed the player vertically made it hard as well since you can't see what's below you, it may have been better to just go for a centered camera.
The graphics were good, it's nice that you had a large variety of different backgrounds including things like grass over the tiles and a parallax background too.
I found it strange how the ghosts went invisible once you hit them, at first I thought I had damaged them from jumping on their head. I only noticed it hurt me when I looked at my own health. It would have been good to incorporate a player damage animation/effect (perhaps flash the player instead of the ghost).
It was good that you had sound in your game, though the music was a little repetitive.
Great job!
*Spoilers*
Great endings! They made me genuinely feel bad for whoever was left behind! Graphics are nice too.
I found this game quite challenging to play, but the idea was pretty unique and it was quite fun. It was strange how two exes were provided. The one where the oil lamp goes down slower has really unresponsive controls, making it impossible to play. I didn't manage to make it to the end ladder, but I gave it a good number of goes. It would have been nice to have some UI inside the game exe.
Overall, good job!
Really great idea! At first I thought it was pretty fun and I plugged in my Xbox controller for a bit more control, however after a while it became pretty hard and frustrating too. As someone else pointed out it generates impossible situations (or maybe they're just very difficult?) and it's too hard to work out where to move to get through safely.
Making the objects that are in your path red is a super great idea!
Overall, pretty fun game. Nice idea! I especially liked how the walls on the sides were blurry.
I have basically the same thoughts as caranha. It's quite an annoying bug.
I also felt that the ball was just generally quite hard to control, mainly due to the ball physics. I think the ball was a little too 'bouncy' and so it makes it hard to just nudge the ball where you want it instead of bouncing it around.
Overall, good concept. Keep it up!
Awesome idea! Very unique. Graphics are bright and fun. I had a tough time on the level with lasers. Great game!
Really awesome work guys! The concept was very unique and lead to some fun mechanics. I finished the game and had a lot of fun. Nice job!
Fun game, well executed. I liked the way that the people ran out when you destroyed a building. Made me laugh!
I had fun blowing up stuff and I enjoyed it a lot :)
Really awesome game! The mechanic was very unique and a lot of fun to play with. I found myself turning my head once or twice! The music was very good and the graphics were nice too.
I really enjoyed this game a lot. Great job! :)
The game looks really cool, but unfortunately I am unable to play it at this stage. It crashes after the first loading image (even with the bugfix version). I am using Windows 7 64-bit. I hope you're able to fix this so I can play!
Unique idea, great graphics, fun little game. Congratulations on your first LD! I wasn't able to beat it though. My best score was 7/10 :P
That was awesome. I loved the dog's animation, very cute :)
That was quite fun! I beat it :) It was a good difficulty and took a bit of effort to dodge the balls.
Overall, nice game. I enjoyed it :)
That was really fun! Nice graphics, simple game mechanic, well polished and a lot of fun. My highscore was 1521.
Overall, really nice game :)
Very polished, great graphics. It was always funny to see what would be destroyed next by a disaster. I enjoyed this one :)
I had a lot of fun trying to balance my ecosystem. Really good idea and well executed. In the end I decided to kill all my plants and have a million rabbits. Then I killed them too. Made me laugh hahah.
Great game!
I liked the idea behind this game, but similarly to Kimau I found it difficult to engage with. Mostly I found it difficult to navigate the world and follow where I had to go next. I didn't know the names of any of the rooms, so it was difficult to go where I wanted to. The story itself seems quite interesting and I really like the idea of managing relationships between characters in the world. It would be cool to make a newer version of this when you have time!
Really well done on completing your first game! I hope you had fun :)
I really loved the concept of this and the concept of a "tenthling". The name of the game, and the intro cutscene made me laugh! The visuals were really nice and the gameplay was pretty fun, even without the destructible environments. The music was also very cool.
You should definitely add in the features that you wanted to, and make a post-jam version.
Overall, awesome job! I enjoyed that a lot.
That was really satisfying to blow up a whole planet :P
That was technically impressive, and had nice presentation!
My final score was: 2201851
I enjoyed this one a lot :) Great work!
Fun game! My favourite part was the player animation. It was really smooth and had fluid transitions, it was also really cool when the second person joined you running around with a hat!
If you make an enhanced version I'd suggest that you let the music keep playing between levels instead of having it restart each time, as I'd only ever get to hear the first few seconds of the song. A more clearer design for the bottom of the 'platforms' would be good too, as it was sometimes hard to see where you could actually land.
The short levels made it compelling to keep playing. The music and sound effects were really well done too. And I liked the whole concept and setting of jumping on street signs. Very creative.
Overall, really nice job!
Very unique and cool mechanic. Graphics were beautiful. Awesome game! :)
Awesome game! It was very polished, fun mechanics and good level design. My suggestion would be to allow keyboard controls, but I can see how in the later levels you were trying to make it about 'timing' your moves and non-clickable squares. In the end, the mouse controls worked pretty well.
I really enjoyed this one. Great job!
Loved this game! The overall presentation was really well done - very polished gameplay, graphics and sound. It was a lot of fun to play, though after the third level it felt like 'too much work' to get the next level. It might have been good to have an arrow pointing to the nearest particles to collect too, for when you only need to collect a couple more but can't find them.
Overall, amazing game. I had a lot of fun with that :)
Nice atmosphere with the lighting effects and the graphics and animation is very good too. Ran well on Firefox 13.
Fun game! Great job.
This is the most beautiful game I've seen so far. I absolutely love the graphics, the presentation and the music is amazing! Very professional. I did find the later levels quite hard, but it was fun nonetheless. I could easily see this game being expanded into a very polished complete game, and I hope you do just that!
Overall, amazing game! I enjoyed it a lot :)
A fun game with great graphics and sound! Well done :)
Graphics and presentation are amazing. Gameplay was a little slow as others said, but still fun.
Great job!
I love this game! I beat it and it was a lot of fun. Very innovative and creative mechanic. It's such a cool idea that getting to the middle is a very simple concept, yet the distractions make it so much more complex. Just when I thought I'd figured out a technique for beating a certain type of level, you'd mix it up with a new mechanic such as moving in the opposite direction. I really loved how you introduced the concepts as well, by having the player alone and letting them figure out what was new by themselves.
Congratulations on your first game, which is awesome :) It was fantastic!
Fun game! The music was nice and calm and the whole game was well put together. It might have been good to have checkpoints or some shorter levels, as it was a bit annoying if I died after playing for a long time.
Overall, really solid and fun entry. Great job! :)
I really liked the visuals on this game, the pixel art mixed with 3D worked quite well and the music was great too. I did find it a bit difficult at first due to the collision areas seeming quite large, however it was okay once I got used to it.
Overall, really fun game. Nice work!
I really loved this entry! It was a creative idea, with great graphics, music and gameplay. It was a lot of fun, and one of the best games I've played in the jam.
Great game guys! I really enjoyed it :)
Nice game! It had enough elements in it to make it strategic, while still keeping it fast paced. I enjoyed it :)
That was a very different experience to a lot of the games on LD. I really liked the visuals and the music, there was a nice sort of atmosphere between them. The only real problem I had was that the camera jittered around a lot, zooming in and out rapidly when I moved quite fast. Other than that, it was a very solid, very fun game!
I really enjoyed this one. Great work! :)
That was hilarious! My favourite part of it was how every character was unique. Every phrase was very funny to read, and the ending was unexpectedly funny - the poem was awesome too!
Overall, great game, I sure did laugh :)
I liked the crisp aesthetic you have with mostly black and white, the atmosphere and music are good too as robbiehunt said. I did find the start a little confusing, but once I realised how to plant new plants it was really quite fun!
Great job! I enjoyed it :)
Wow that was amazing! Definitely one of my favourite games in the jam. I'm glad I persisted with the Final Exam level, it was a surprise to see the boss, who was awesome.
The whole mechanic is really very cool, I like how you can build momentum and then use it to 'fling' yourself around half the level. The level design was very good, and explored a lot of cool implications of the mechanic.
Overall, really great job. Loved it! :D
That was amazing. I loved every second of it, though reading the comments I don't think I got to the end! I went to every building and talked with everyone, then went home and nothing happened so I quit! I'll have to come back to it again.
Great game! Loved that :)
The audio was really great! How many LD entries can say that they've got voice-acting!
I'm not sure if there was meant to be a 'message' behind this game, but I liked the way that I managed to get the world with only houses left.
Really nice work. I enjoyed it :)
Graphics are amazing, fits the theme well, and the puzzles are fun. Nice work!
Loved the visuals on this game. Everything was polished and well put together. The music was a nice light-hearted touch as well :) The mechanic is pretty cool and unique, I did find it a little bit hard to control at times - though you are a planet I guess! Maybe some sort of indication of your current direction/velocity might have helped this?
Great job!
Nice game! I really liked how you introduced the mechanic on the first level. That was good design. I ran into a bug where I got stuck in a wall after touching a pill, but nothing major. It would have been good to have a few more levels! The graphics were fantastic!
Overall, really fun game. Nice work!
Really fun to play. Gorgeous graphics and a nice shoot 'em up feel. Well done!
Cool mechanic, awesome graphics and nice presentation. I really liked the concept, it would be cool if there was a win condition!
Overall, very nice polished game :)
Very polished and some beautiful graphics there! It's always nice to have some voice-overs too.
I love the little animation the guy does when you "do stuff".
Great job!
Really fun game. The movement felt very responsive and it was difficult but not impossible. Nice and challenging. I did get stuck on level 10 however. Though I enjoyed it a lot!
Well done!
This concept is awesome! I played it for a really long time, it was really fun to try and tweak my strategy after each battle. Very innovative, lots of depth, and a lot of fun!
Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot, really great game :)
The presentation was fantastic! My only suggestions would be to perhaps remove the fading in and out of blackness, it was a bit disorientating. The whole game was very polished and the puzzles were fun and satisfying to complete.
I really enjoyed it! Great job!
LOVE THE MUSIC! This is the best music in the entire competition! The graphics are really amazing too!
It would have been cool if you did get those roguelike elements in so that the player would have had some more goals.
Overall, really fun and polished game. Very nice work!
A very nice looking entry and I like the graphical style a lot. I hope you do choose to continue this and make it into a full game, as your idea does sound very cool.
That was a hilarious intro and overall quite fun! Really solid polished game, great work! :)
I really loved the atmosphere in this game, the visuals and presentation were fantastic. Very polished! I did however find the puzzles a little unintuitive at times (the hint said I should find 3 pieces of the photograph, when I already had 3), but once I got into it and persisted, it got a bit easier. The audio complimented the game very well too. The story was pretty cool, and definitely matched the title.
Overall, awesome game! I really enjoyed it :)
The graphics are AMAZING, and the whole presentation is really polished. I had a lot of fun playing this game and I hope you improve it, add some more levels, and make it a full game!
I agree with Zillix - the controls were weird. I also played by myself with an xbox controller. A definitely should have been jump! And I found it weird how I had to press a button to spawn as well.
Overall - Awesome game. Great job!
That was amazing! I absolutely love the intro and the gameplay was fun too. The audio also complimented the game very well.
Overall, I really had a lot of fun with this entry, it was unique and awesome. Great job! :)
Thanks for the nice comments everyone :)
dr_soda - I completely agree about the role of the ant. I put him in very early in the game and his role kept changing as I developed the game further. At first I wanted a platform game with the ant as a little but of fun, but the focus moved to him more and more and his role could definitely be more clear cut.
Thank you for all of the nice comments everyone! It's really rewarding to see people enjoying the game :)
@Gremlin - I had Another World in mind when I was developing the character art and the bullets especially :)
seigenblues - Thanks! I had intended to make the ant better, but in the end I didn't have time. It's good to know you thought it was nice :)
And the way you interact with the ant is also up to the player, so I'm glad you felt like you had a choice in the matter. The player can run all the way to the end if they want without the ant, or they can use it to help them the whole way :)
Thanks for playing!
@blob, johnfn - I'm glad you guys liked the ending! :)
@davidpeter - Are you referring to cats? Or did I subconsciously put in other memes without realising? :P
Thank you to everyone again for the nice comments! I'm glad that you seem to be having fun!
@artefon - If you read my postmortem here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/04/25/ant-surf-hero-the-surfening-post-mortem/ The ability to not need the ant to finish the level is a conscious decision. The game never tells the player that you should stay with the ant, but people seem to feel like they should, almost like it's their friend! :)
Mildmojo - Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad that you like the name, and can see the reasoning why I chose infinite lives :)
I agree, the text should have been moved closer to Dr. Electrostorm in order to make it clearer. It was in odd positions sometimes. The reason for that was that in other alignments, it sometimes didn't fit on screen (as the text is pre-rendered images), and I was making that cutscene at 6AM :P so I didn't have time to keep testing it. So my quick solution was to left-align Dr. Electrostorm's text and right-align the Hero's. Another quick fix to save time!
@leafo - I've added an Enhanced Windows build that should be a lot faster.
Hazard - It wasn't obvious in the original version, but you are able to move faster by crouching on top of the ant. I would have liked to implement a third level with more ant surfing and rough terrain, but I was short on time.
Thank you very much for your feedback :)
Chambers - I think you're the first to get all of the stars! Well done! :) You do lose 300 points when you die. If you read my post-mortem you can read about my choices for both the ant and dying: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/04/25/ant-surf-hero-the-surfening-post-mortem/
Thank you to everyone for your comments. I'm glad to see everyone seems to be having fun! :)
Awesome game! I played through until the end and really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun to see my planet advancing and exciting to see what new build options I would get. My only suggestion is to remove the camera rotation when you hover over the UI elements/buttons because it was quite annoying to try and build something in a particular location, and have the world rotate away when you went to choose it.
Overall, I really enjoyed this game. Great job! :)
Really fun game. Great idea and great mechanic.
It's awesome that you were able to complete a multiplayer game in such a short amount of time. I hope you polish it up and finish it off.
One of my favourite Jam entries! Nice job!
Awesome game! I really like how you turned game of life into a strategy game. I works really well! The whole game is very polished and the art is fantastic. It definitely kept me playing until I'd finally killed as many enemies as I could!
If you make it into a full game, it would be cool to see some new unit types. Perhaps you could make ones with slightly modified Life rules? Ones that live longer? Another idea would be to have some obstacles and blocking terrain, so that your bacteria has to move around and between these obstacles.
Overall, great job! Definitely one of the best games in the jam!
Loved this game. It was very fun to smash stuff and the one button mechanic was very good design. The crushing sound is really satisfying as well!
Great game! I enjoyed it a lot :)
I loved the overall presentation. Graphics, sound and music all fitted together very well, and individually were all extremely well created. It's nice to hear some guitar!
The mechanic was very interesting, and I can see how if you spent a long time playing you'd be able to master it and come up with some good strategies. It had a lot of depth to it.
Really great game. Nice work :)
Loved the graphics, especially the character portraits! I found it a little hard to control the gliding, as someone else mentioned, it was difficult to gauge my speed and direction. Some static reference points (like far away parallax mountains) would have definitely helped.
Overally, amazing work! Really nice fun polished game :)
I got inside the house but didn't really know what else to do (even with the hints). I had a pretty full inventory too.
That was pretty weird, but also pretty cool. The cop made me laugh.
It's good to see a point and click adventure game, and there was a lot of nice art.
Great job!
This is amazing! An extremely polished entry with beautiful graphics and very fun gameplay. I remember playing this during development, and it's really good to see features like powerups - they make it more awesome. One of the best entries! My only suggestion would be maybe allowing a jump, as sometimes there's almost nothing you can do when two asteroids are coming your way.
Amazing job! :)
I really liked the aesthetics in this game. It was very pretty to look at, especially the backgrounds like the clouds and stars. The ending I got was pretty cool too :)
Overall, really nice work! One of the most polished games in the jam!
Graphics are stunning! That was an amazing little world to run around in and explore.
I enjoyed this one :)
What a fantastic game! Incredibly polished, fun gameplay, and of course - amazing music. The mechanic of moving in beat was a new one that I haven't encountered before in a music-based game, so job on that!
Congratulations on making such a great game! Definitely one of the best in the jam! :)
That was awesome! Really nice polished game with a good sense of humour and a lot of fun to play.
Well done! I really enjoyed this one :)
Nice game! The storyline was very interesting and funny. I liked the whole theme for the game. I did however find the game a bit too easy and I stopped playing once I realised I could pretty much not lose! All you have to do is hold the mouse button down and hold it above a patch of dirt, then when an alien takes the dirt it just flys up into your mouse cursor. You can also just jump on the same spot to ensure nothing gets past.
Nevertheless, really well polished fun game. The addition of online highscores is also excellent!
Well done! :)
Simply an amazing game! The graphics are beautiful. The colours really pop. The way it works with the theme is really innovative as well. I'm half way through the game so far, it's really quite tough but a lot of fun.
Overall, great job! Love it.
Nice game! I liked the humour at the start. I found it a bit hard to know when to shoot, but running into each other was fun! Great work!
Pretty fun tower game! It did seem balanced, though it was hard to see which units were specifically attacking at any time. It was very satisfying to watch my red ants beating the other ones :)
I really enjoyed it. Nice work!
Wow! Not many people can say they made an RTS during LD. Well done! My only real suggestion would be to add in the ability to scroll with the arrow keys. The whole game was really fun and smooth to play.
Overall, great job!
Best graphics in the whole LD! A very well polished game. I like how you even did the UI nicely too. Sounds were great as well.
I beat it and got victory :) It was easier once I got a fair bit of income.
Really fun game, well done!
If you get a chance to review some games, check out mine!
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=3289
Very nice game! I played through to the end and it made me laugh! :) The gameplay itself was quite fun, and the music was intense but excellent.
Overall, a very fun game for Ludum Dare! :)
I got all the achievements and got "WINNER!" :) Fun game! I enjoyed that. The graphics were good, the gameplay was fun and the sounds/music complimented the game well.
Overall, a very fun game! Well done :)
I love this game! The graphics are very pretty and the Alice and Wonderland theme is a really great idea. The gameplay was very polished and fun. The teacup level was however, a little confusing when I first played, but made sense when I got to the end. Definitely one of my favourite games!
Well done everyone!
This is a really cool concept! As soon as I got to the first edge and it rotated, I just said "woah!". Nice work! As some other people said, some pac-man ghosts or obstacles would have made it more challenging, but it was a lot of fun nevertheless. I enjoyed that a lot :)
That was awesome! Definitely one of my favourite games in the jam! I really loved the song and the painted background. The whole game was cute and beautiful to look at.
Awesome game! Well done :)
It's great to see a text-based adventure game in here. This game was a lot of fun. The writing was humorous and brief enough so that it can be played quickly by anyone.
Lots of fun! Nice job.
Definitely one of my favourite games in the competition! That was a really really really fun game! I loved the whole concept, and the levels were challenging enough to establish a nice flow.
Great job!
Nice game! I really like the rat's graphics and the idea is cool. I found the circuits a bit hard to navigate at first, but after the first door it was okay.
Great job! :)
I beat it with a lot of persistence! The ending was hilarious :P
After the initial frustration, determination took over and I enjoyed that thoroughly. Great game!
Beautiful atmosphere and music. That was a really engaging experience. Though as you said yourself, gameplay was a little odd! I did enjoy all of the ambient elements though.
Really nice entry!
This is awesome! Really fun to play and beautiful graphics too. Great job!
Awesome game! Great graphics and really fun gameplay. I wish I had 7 friends to play with!
That was beautiful! The graphics were absolutely stunning and the mechanic was really fun. Overall, a really nice atmosphere and a great game. Well done guys!
Amazing game guys! That was truly an awesome experience. I didn't manage to survive the whole time but it was really fun to try and keep everyone alive. Great job!
Awesome game! I love how fast paced it was and that I could keep trying a level over and over until I got it. My final score was 12, in 118 seconds. Nice job!
That was awesome! I finished it and really enjoyed it. Nice game!
Awesome game! I love the mechanics and the music too. It was really cool to work out what I had to do, and there were some very interesting and unique levels. Nice work!
Funniest game of the jam! I blinked!
Awesome game! Love the car flipping animation. My only suggestion would be to always draw the bullets at the front, because they're drawn behind the fallen over cars.
A really pretty graphical experience! Nice job!
Awesome game! I really liked how the levels were short and the mechanics kept staying fresh. The end was cool as well. Nice work!
Nice game guys! Interesting mix of puzzles and narrative elements.
Nice work! A fun and challenging game.
Amazing game! Definitely one of my favourites! I absolutely love the mechanic. It's really addicting and the music is fantastic. Overall, great job!
This is a truly awesome game. A very unique and fun core mechanic and extremely well polished graphics and sound.
I got up to 19050!
Overall, a fantastic game! Definitely one of my favourites.
A very appealing aesthetic, relaxing melodies, and well polished. Great job!
Awesome game! I love FPS and this was really fun, and very polished. Nice work guys!
A very innovative and fun mechanic. Really nicely executed. Great game!
Nope! Might be to do with your graphics card. Do you have Pixel Shader 2.0? Does the title screen show? What are your specs? Are you running it on Windows, etc?
Thanks for the nice comments everyone!
Thanks guys! :) It's good to know the game seems to be evoking the kind of stuff I wanted it to!
@Ragzouken - Thanks! I just drew it all with my mouse. I drew one frame, and then turned on onion-skinning (semi-transparent version of the previous frame), and redrew a similar frame. Since it could be done so quickly, I did it many many times to get a more fluid feeling.
Wow! The responses have been really amazing guys. Thank you! I've heard now from a few people that it's physically making their heart beat faster and faster which is pretty cool!
I agree that the game is hard to show off with static screenshots, too bad I the animated .GIFs don't show!
@stqn - they might do something! :P If you don't notice what they do then that's kind of part of the theme.
Thanks again for the great comments guys :)
If you're not exactly sure what you're doing, that's okay! That's one part of it.
A beautiful game! The fish are so cute and I love the little snippets of advice they give. Makes me want to catch them all!
A really awesome game with a very cool take on the theme and platforming. Nice ending too! Great work!
Nice game! Some very unique and interesting mechanics, and the source code is clean and well presented too! Good job!
Very cool mechanic. It was interesting how my attention was split between the road and the gearbox. Nice work!
Stunning. Really made me think about how difficult it can be to search the sea, and how big the sea really is!
I am become.
