LD36 — Ancient Technology (1)

Jet Racing 3 by ReactorScram 2016-09-02T01:11:00

Was fun, I got a 26.033 without any nitro, then realized the nitro was usable. Played a few laps with it. Cool leaning animations, and severe penalty for falling off the track!

LD35 — Shapeshift (4)

Pitch Black by ReactorScram 2016-05-05T16:30:00

Pretty neat, different, art style. I managed to get an 11.47 and found it quite fun trying to get lower. Missed the ability to downshift at the end of the strip!

Really neat you show the clutch engagement, not sure what the torque output of the motor is, I suspect linear perhaps so shifting at the last possible moment being the best point, I could be completely wrong about that.

Fantastic Fight Arena by djdduty 2016-04-18T20:04:00

Was great fun when playing with others, watch out for playing against the creator though, they can shift shape whenever! It was good fun, started getting a little latency for me, seemed some attacks weren't going through. Also seemed I was always the weaker person regardless what I was fighting, but I think that's because some of my attacks weren't going through.

ShiftShape by killthealias 2016-04-18T18:26:00

Was very difficult to see what was happening and the controls could use a button per axis, but I see the moving shapes with shift button.

The Core by Syldarion 2016-04-18T17:52:00

Neat. The power up build system is pretty neat but I had to go back to read how to equip after buying! The falling was a bit annoying, it would have been nice maybe to have a floor to land on always, or something. It was also hard to understand at first that I could shoot through the platforms, and was a bit upset the AI bots could, until I realized I could also!

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing (2)

Formula Wroom by Benlitz 2015-12-22T16:19:00

I liked the concept and as a fan of racing the title screen lured me to play and figure out what it was. I tried about 5 races but couldn't figure out the trick with the turning. Seems there is some magical speed where you fly off the track, but there is no feedback of when that might occur. I never finished above last because of this. Good entry, just needs some more feedback for the player.

Learning to Dance by WetDesertRock 2015-12-16T01:01:00

It is indeed a great experience, and did feel quite personal, I was wondering the same as Tijn. A few of them were hard to catch when they appeared, but I think that was helped keep eyes darting around.

LD33 — You are the Monster (2)

Motherflipin' T-Rex! by mantis 2015-08-26T17:00:00

Got me laughing, and that usually takes effort, cookie for you. Was confused at first with the darkened buttons, felt like I shouldn't be able to click them. Also first few times I didn't see the health display but managed to catch on, somehow the hud was very functional and also hidden without hiding, if that makes sense. Good entry!

Delivery! by the31 2015-08-26T15:25:00

Love the jump, and the bouncing tipping indestructible van, good thing, I rolled often. Really enjoyed the hand-brake to somersault move.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon (7)

I've got the flower ! by Coban31 2015-05-05T00:11:00

Some others have already mentioned the installer issue, I found the concept very interesting, fighting against the pollution, but it quickly became tedious. There was a lot of graphics involved, so I'm guessing this took a lot of your time, it may have been interesting to add things the player should not shoot, and or things to avoid touching.

Sound Runner by Makay 2015-04-23T02:03:00

Neat concept, great music and good graphics. The gameplay for me was slightly difficult to get into although I do see the potential for fun, especially with that music. I was confused about the numbers, and even after reading the how-to I found I was unable to use the num-pad, which is what I was wanting to use for a game like this. Great job!

ScarKrow by Carduus 2015-04-23T01:55:00

From what I saw the Art and Music looked great, I was unable to play though it was too slow and laggy. I had a message about a preloader but I gave it a good while to load and nothing changed.

Waffle Warrior by Super Hamster 2015-04-23T01:37:00

I felt a bit confused on how to play for the first minute or so, could not figure out how to throw the waffles as I had intuitively started using arrow keys and didn't realize the mouse was needed. The animations worked well and the movement was pretty solid. I was quite confused at first on objective and "where to go" but after finding it was a little playground for high-score I easily found myself getting above 50 points. Good job.

Little Birdie by Marcus316 2015-04-22T04:12:00

Pooping on the hunters! I like the idea. I managed to get a score of 2063, but found the difficulty to increase too quickly and I wanted to be able to fire back faster too, I think that would have increased the fun. The scope of the game is perfect for the compo and great job on your first LudumDare.

Do it for Wilson by DoItForWilson 2015-04-21T20:54:00

Not sure what happened there, but it caused my system (Mac/Firefox) to crash very hard. Equivalent to a BSoD on Windows.

Off to the Races by RyanNielson 2015-04-21T20:47:00

Was interesting. At first I thought I was doing something wrong (hitting a wrong key) when the bell rang, so I slowed down drastically and realized pressing wrong key didn't matter at all... :-) Good job!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen (6)

PicoMachines by Salamander3 2014-12-29T17:13:00

I found that the rotating was too sensitive and it took most of my playing time to figure out how to play. I was on the 'world map' for quite some time and was unable to see any pattern until it jumped into the close up.

Jumping n' Jumping by Eduardo 2014-12-21T16:46:00

The jumping idea is pretty neat although I didn't quite understand how it dropped back to 3 on me at some point. The movement control left/right felt too twitchy and was very hard to actually move around with accuracy.

Boss Rush by Nick Weihs 2014-12-20T05:05:00

Was a pretty interesting game. I found the controls to be less responsive than desired. It would seem at some points I'd be pressing left to run toward the boss and get stopped until I release and repress the button. Jump on a few occasions failed, maybe I was in the midst of being hit or some other state without realizing it. I definitely enjoyed the limited movement to get the sword, and was really only able to kill the bosses by continuing to spam hit them before they could get their own attack - although I never made it beyond the axe throwing guy. Really enjoyed the bow boss, given my game, but the arrows moved a little fast for me to react to and you got a bit of a wow effect when multiple arrows got shot into the air at once. Liked it a lot.

watery current by eiquy3 2014-12-19T22:26:00

The movement was extremely buggy and I was unable to get beyond the first little portion after 5 minutes and several restarts.

Cosmic Escape by neil.devan 2014-12-19T22:16:00

Link is broken not allowing play.

Survive On One Screen by mtanton 2014-12-10T03:20:00

Certainly a good first LudumDare, keep at it!

LD30 — Connected Worlds (2)

Icarus Crisis by rojo 2014-08-27T03:58:00

I was unable to vote since I did not finish my entry, I gave up after I felt like I could not connect worlds well enough to really show off the theme. Anyways, I wrote down my thoughts and hopefully this proves more useful to you, I know I always preferred hearing about the players experience. http://www.timbeaudet.com/blog/2014/08/27/game-review-ld30-game-icarus-crisis/

Drempt by WetDesertRock 2014-08-27T03:56:00

I am unable to give you a rating as I did not complete my project, I gave up after a few attempts at not really connecting worlds. Hopefully this will be useful, I've gone ahead and wrote up my thoughts while playing and analyzing. http://www.timbeaudet.com/blog/2014/08/26/game-review-ld30-game-drempt/

LD27 — 10 Seconds (4)

The 10-Second Murder by Rose 2013-08-28T02:31:00

I played for a bit then started accusing people. I like that you need to dig up the proof before making accusations and the idea of telling a story that the player feels they dig into. If you find the time please comment / rate my game: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=1888

Operation Big Bang by Ted Brown 2013-08-28T02:14:00

Can't say I figured out what I was doing but I seemed to succeed a few times randomly, mostly just exploded the equipment or was too late! Good job on the art and sounds. If you find some time please rate mine: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=1888

The Path by Dezzles 2013-08-28T02:02:00

Interesting concept but controls felt very unintuitive to me. I did manage to grasp the concept and beat level one, as well as make it a ways down LD48.

Life goes by in 10 seconds by DavidErosa 2013-08-28T01:30:00

Very well done on the mood and innovation of bringing me through the choices of life. I did not see any challenge, but liked the concept of choices and life being about those choices.

If you have some time to play/comment on mine, it'd be appreciated:

LD22 — Alone (2)

Hyper Alone (Totally not helpless) by iFred_QC 2012-01-07T01:54:00

I'm not sure if it is supposed to do this or not, but once I shoot a guard or camera the screen is pretty much rubbish and I am left to guess where to go from there which makes it nearly unplayable. I had wondered at first if it was an effect upon shooting a camera, but then it really hindered gameplay so I now think it may be an issue.

ExtraVertical by jerp 2012-01-07T01:23:00

Not running for me :(

LD21 — Escape (2)

Fires & Fights by 54mf 2011-08-23T03:08:00

I'd be another two handed player, which was challenging. Neat idea.

Not Without You by davidjsushil 2011-08-23T03:00:00

Well done with the puzzles, they got progressively harder, although I did not manage to get passed the 2nd to last level.
