Great game, love the presentation and the idea. I would have loved to have some mouse control to make aiming a bit easier though. Nice work!

Great game, love the presentation and the idea. I would have loved to have some mouse control to make aiming a bit easier though. Nice work!
Great sound, great art, really fantastic presentation overall. I would like to see the game itself developed a bit more, maybe some more environmental interactions. Fantastic work!
I really like the look of the game, nearly matches old Atari games perfectly. Would have been nice if you could have matched the aesthetic with the objects you pick up, but they may have made them hard to distinguish from one another.
I also expected to get points once I moved the items to the top of the screen, but I had to move them all the way to the right.
Great idea for a game though, especially with the recent finds of all the ET cartridges a few days back.
Thanks for the feedback guys. It was super fun to make! I find it easier to just make really dumb games during these jams than trying to get too serious.
I'm surprised so many of you beat it so quickly. I don't think I've even managed to fully complete it without cheating. Speaking of the god mode, seems like bouncing on the moleman heads can cause that craziness to happen that Sichuan mentioned. Definitely a bug, but I'm going to leave that in because it's hilarious.
Thanks for the kind words Alex.
Each row was basically a prefab that consisted of two tiled sprites with a space in between. We used 2D Toolkit to handle our sprites.
Lots of content, nice little game that you could probably make an interesting puzzle platformer out of by expanding on a few ideas. Background was a little screwy on the first level, but it didn't cause any major issues.
I like the colour palette, the reds are super cool. I have two recommendations though that I think would really help improve the game: Shoot a bullet every time the player clicks, and make the missiles move a bit after and at more varied speeds.
Looks and plays fantastically. Could have used more enemies and maybe some background music though.
Well done, definitely an idea that could be interesting if expanded upon.
Great game, fantastic graphics, sound, and mood. Reminded me a lot of Thomas Was Alone, which is a huge compliment because it's one of my favourite games I played last year.
Nice work.
Nice game, I love the concept the execution is spot on. I found the sensitivity of the camera a bit too high, but other than that I had a great time. Wilhelm scream was icing on the cake.
I really liked it. The graphics and the sound were fantastic. They really gave me and under the sea vibe. Is was also really challenging, which is nice to see.
I had a few issues with collision, but beyond that it was a great little title. Nice work!
Great gameplay, one of the better ideas I've seen so far. I love the urgency of trying to focus on digging deeper while keeping yourself alive. Nice job!
Great little game, quite simple, but the aesthetic really makes it stand out. The parallax effect is wonderful, good work!
Love the name, and the aesthetics and mechanics are pretty good as well. But like others said, the fact that I can fly using blocks makes the puzzles pretty trivial. Although it is pretty funny.
Great game, super moody and creepy. Nice work! I'm going to have to give you a 1 for humour though.
Decent little games, reminds me a ton of Smash TV. I like the intro animation with the door opening, and overall I think it looks pretty good. I did have a problem seeing the player though. They should be larger, or at least a different colour to stand out from the crowd. Congrats on the game!
Decent little card game once I got the hang of it. There really needed to be a tutorial ot something as card games can be tough to understand. I really liked the game though.
I'd recommend removing the breakout clone at the beginning. I just wanted to jump in and play the game.
Good work.
Cool take on the tower defence game and interesting way to enable yourself to have a larger maze. I did think the additional camera view was a bit too small though, and overall the player and enemies were a bit hard to see. I didn't play fullscreen though, and that may alleviate some of the issues I was having.
Fantastic game. I love the aesthetic and the music. The gameplay is pretty simple, yet surprisingly fun. The comic book panel layout is a great way to provide a unique look, while sticking with the theme. Well done!
Head little game, I think this could make a super interesting and hectic game and you could add a ton of new elements to it. Although, it seemed like steering my ship wasn't working so I kept hitting asteroids. I was clicking the button, but wasn't sure if it was doing anything. Perhaps some better feedback like button press effects or sounds would help. Maybe this was a bug though, I played the Mac version.
What browser/plaform are you on Gemberkoekje and cabezotta? This is the first I've heard of it sending people back to the main menu.
Great game, I love the aesthetics and the music. I found myself getting killed by those yellow platforms that fall pretty often.
Great idea, fantastic use of the theme. It's just an average platformer, but it's a great proof of concept and one of the most innovative uses of the theme I've seen so far.
Great idea and execution. I like the style and take on the theme. Some of the games, like the space invaders, could be a bit faster though. It'd be cool if each game had a time limit of something like 10 seconds, when time runs out it switches to a new game and saves your progress. So it constantly switches between games until you complete or fail all of them. I'm thinking kind of Warioware-esque I guess.
Nice little game, decent pinball physics and pretty great art all around. I like the mix of space invaders and pinball gameplay.
Fantastic aesthetic, felt just like a classic point and adventure game. I really think this has promise, you should keep working on it for sure. Well done!
I really like the concept, it's super tough and it's interesting how you have to plan your route far ahead to succeed. It also looks amazing, to stuck with an aesthetic and everything looks great and not out of place. The sounds, as simple as they are, are also fantastic.
I'd like to see a slow ramp-up to give the player some time to figure out the mechanics.
Overall, fantastic work!
I really like the concept, and I think you could make a pretty cool puzzle game out of this. Most levels are just get from point a to point b, I think there should be more puzzles. Great use of the theme though.
The art and sound are absolutely fantastic, super polished and professional looking. It all goes together to make a cohesive package.
The only issue I have are with the controls and gameplay. The "ball" moves around way to fast and the controls are as smooth as they need to be. But those are minor things that can easily be fixed.
Well done!
Great look and music. Not sure about the mechanics, but I'm sure that's not what you're going for anyway. Nice work.
Great art style, I love how the buildings look like blueprints. The sound is great as well, overall I love the presentation. Aiming seemed to be weird telling me I needed a better vantage point when I don't think I should have.
Great looking game, I really like the aesthetic and how the rooms are presented. The visuals are a bit blurry for me though. Overall, great job.
Great interpretation of the theme, probably one of the most creative I've seen yet. I don't think it's a great game, or very fun, but you nailed the theme. Well done!
I'd do laundry every day if I found tons of change in the lint trap. What a strange game, I enjoyed it.
Decent little platform game, although I was stuck in that hole on the second level and I found the wall jumps too hard to do with keyboard. I like the little intro cinematic.
Nice game, simple but well executed. The controls were a little sticky, but still serviceable. I really like the title screen a lot, it's fantastic.
This could be a cool little mobile game. The ball upward force when clicking was unpredictable. It seemed to be based on click location. When clicking the top of the ball, it didn't seem to get enough upward force, perhaps make it so that if the ball is clicked anywhere it flies upwards. That'll remove a little bit of the frustration.
Neat proof of concept, and I always give props to people that decide to take on networking in a game jam. Unfortunately the game itself needs a bit more depth, maybe some interaction between players, or power-ups.
A super strange experience, but I found it and the writing pretty intriguing. The controls though need some work, the player is far too floaty which makes exploration a pain.
The music is interesting, not sure if I like it or not, but at least it's unique. The controls are a bit floaty for my liking though.
This game looks fantastic, I love the concept of a game that's just a big boss fight.
I have an issue with the controls though. I think you should have made it fully mouse driven almost like diablo. With the dash handled by clicking, which makes the character move toward the mouse. I think that control change would take this game to another level.
Good work.
Nice little roguelike game. I like the lighting system and the graphics. The enemy AI could use some work though, they seem to just run into walls sometimes. Overall, good work though.
Great game, super tough as well. The voice acting is fantastic, and contrasts well with the difficulty of the game. It can be tough to gauge how cooked something is, but that's a minor issue. It'd be cool if you could just click and drag to throw the food into the tickets too.
Creative concept, but I think you should be able to throw tomatoes by clicking.
Neat little game, this could be pretty interesting if expanded upon. I think you die too quickly, and the game starts off way to fast without giving the player time to figure it out.
Nice game, it plays pretty great and I like how it's on the gameboy screen. I'd tone down the screenshake a bit though. Because the game is rendered within the game, it's making me a tad nauseous. Well done though!
This game looks fantastic, and I really like the super wide aspect ratio. The sounds are also great. Overall, super well done.
Great game, I really like the themes and the art. Creative use of level switching too. Well done
Great little game, I love the art style and the multiplayer aspect. It'd be cool if players could work together to build defenses, but that's probably out of the scope of a gamejam game, especially one with online multiplayer.
Great little game, I especially like the presentation and the mechanics. Although the hit detection on the sword could use a little work. Well done overall.
Neat game, looks and sounds great with some genuinely scary moments. Great use of screenshake as well!
Just a quick big. You're able to clip through the locked doors if you walk into them and look in different directions quickly.
Regardless, great game. It's really hard to do horror in 2D and you nailed it.
I honestly have no idea what I just played, but I kept playing anyway. Super interesting piece of work, and I loved the visuals. I wouldn't say it was an interesting use of the theme, but it technically was one one screen so I'll give you that.
Great game, I love the difficulty and the warping to another map on death. It could lead to some really interesting possibilities like kill yourself in certain screens to get to specific locations in others. Well done, hopefully you continue working on this.
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever played, and I say that as a good thing. I like the viewpoint, and the QWOP like feature of having to do a bunch of different things at once. This is the kind of weird stuff that should be made in a jam. Well done!
Nice art, could be an interesting game. The controls really need some work though, much too floaty and temperamental. It could really use some sound as well.
Nice little game, I like the dynamic environment and the multiplayer aspects. I kept getting stuck on the boxes though which made it pretty hard to play sometimes.
Great game. It controls well, and it feels quite polished. I really like the changing environment too. I made a similar game called Enter the Murderdome: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-31/?action=preview&uid=13891.
Decent little game, reminds me of spy party a little bit. I really like the art and sound, but I find the controls to be a bit awkward. Overall, well done.
Great game, fantastic art and game mechanics. Although I don't think you should have to hover over the wound while pressing the keys. Maybe just click to enter the heal mode, and click to shut up soldiers. That's a small nitpick though, great work!
Well thought out and fully functional tower defense game. The building controls were hard to figure out at first, but then I got the hang of them. Not sure why you have the build a base for the gun first though.
The game could use a bit more style though. Overall decent effort.
Well done. At first I was like "this is a pretty nice looking pong clone" when it turned into something totally different. Awesome switch!
I like the look and the music, and it could be interesting game if complete. Although it's incredibly hard to control on keyboard as you don't know which way the character is facing until you start moving. It's also not super obvious what the goal of the game is.
Great game, super interesting strategy mechanics with lots of depth, but they're also very simple. It also looks fantastic. Great use of the theme as well, there's a great about of planets to explore, but being set entirely in the ship is a fantastic idea to work within the single screen constraing. Overall, fantastic effort.
Nice, simple puzzle game. Great entry, lots of polish and the sounds and graphics are pretty great. I wish the animations were a little bit faster though. Nice job.
Nice little game, looks good and sounds pretty good. I wish there was more to do, but it was interesting watching the little dudes change even though I'm not exactly sure what/why I was doing it.
Great idea, super clever. I love the idea of games with viewer interaction that we've been seeing a lot of lately. The visuals and controls would be a little tighter.
Fantastic looking game, with a fun enough mechanic. Sometimes I died without really understanding why. Also, it'd be nice if there were so many delays between retrying the game, also some of the fade animations should be sped up a bit.
Great little multiplayer game. I love how it looks, the sound is great, and the gameplay concept is solid. I only wish there was a bit more to do. Overall, great game.
Great looking game, although the lighting made it quite hard to see some of the platforms.
Great little game with a nice old school feel. I like the mechanic and the urgency that you make the player feel when there's a fire. The controls could use a little tweaking, but otherwise great work.
Congrats on completing a game in time for submission! I like the different types of enemies and ammo. Leaves a lot of gameplay options and choices open to the play. Also, I didn't think the music was as bad as you said it was.
I think the biggest issue is the controls. They aren't responsive enough for quickly dodge enemies like you need to in these games. Also, some hit reactions would help me realize when I'm getting hit.
Great little game, I think this could be expanded to an interesting local multiplayer game. I like the graphics, and the sound is fantastic. Only negative is the lack of content, but it's a good base to work off of. Good work!
Great atmosphere, decent visuals, and interesting gameplay that fits well with the setting. It's a little simple though, I wish there was a bit more depth.
Nice game, a great concept and some fantastic art and sound really make this game seem quite polished. I wish the enemies damaged the player though just to make it a little challenging.
The only real issue I had with the game is that sometimes when standing on enemies the jumping didn't always work.
Otherwise, congratulations on your first successful Ludum Dare. Hopefully there will be more work from you in the future.
Your game plays well enough. I think the difficulty ramps up far too fast though. I was never able to try out the more expensive towers because I always had to build cheaper ones to stay alive.
Nice little game, I really like the sound and art. Solid pong style game for sure, I like the addition of powerups. The collision with the ball the the shield is a bit weird though, I scored on myself a few times.
Great graphics and presentation, and great idea. I couldn't really see much though and a bit more explanation as to what was going on would have been helpful.
Fun concept, this could be cool with different obstacles, powerups, and different enemy types. I think you should increase the player and enemy size. It's sometimes hard to see the elves and even harder to hit them with your shots. I love the Christmas theme though.
The crazy banshee lady in the second room freaked me out a little bit. Nice little game with some great art. I love the idea of the rooms all being on one screen but not being able to see them all. Nice work!
Great graphics and interesting game concept. I would like to see some in game help, but you have the image which is good enough.
Not too shabby, this could make for an interesting game if the controls were improved a little bit. I like the idea of a multiplayer game that isn't just killing each other. There's a nice avoidance and platforming competition as well. Well done, great idea.
Cool little game, I think it has great potential with a bit of polish. I'd like to see more diablo-like controls with clicking to attack and holding the mouse button to move. I think this would fix all the problems I have with it feel stiff. Great start though.
I didn't really understand the rules fully, but it seemed like it could make an interesting game. Trying improving the speed from clicking a hex to actually seeing a change though, there is quite a bit of lag.
Congrats on getting one of your first games complete in time for submission. As for the game, I'm not a huge fan. It's quite simplistic, and would be much improved with sounds and maybe different waves of enemies with different types of music instead of them just bobbing back and forth. Not sure if it was meant to be funny, but I laughed when the enemies starting bobbing back and forth.
Nice game, I really like the art style and the music. The swapping mechanic is pretty interesting, but I would love to see the charge sped up a bit to make the game a bit more frantic. Maybe evening switching items with other items instead of just switching the player with items. Well done.
Neat entry, super unique compared to the other games. The mechanics are very simple though, it'd be cool if there was a bit more to do and the controls weren't as floaty. It'd also be really interesting if you could somehow fill it for the current jam's entries.
Great idea for a puzzle game, along with some consistent and great art. The controls could use a bit of touching up though, maybe hitting a key just moves the cats in a grid, or speed up the responsiveness of the controls.
Fantastic game, and great use of the theme. Going back in a time is a fantastic way to solve puzzles or just fix mistakes. Well done!
Great game, I love the transforming worlds and the overall presentation. Everything is super smooth from the menus to the animations of the characters and environments. Only thing that I had issues with was the floaty controls, but that's fine for a gamejam game.
Neat concept, I love the art. It's so happy, minus the fiery death raining from the sky. I think it would be great if you lowered the amount of fireballs, and maybe improved collision a bit. I always felt like I was unfairly killed.
Good effort though, and congratulations on its completion!
Great game, I love the interesting mix of precision platforming and problem solving. The graphics and sound are great as well. Simple, put the whole package comes together well.
The only thing I would improve would be to make the controls a bit more tight, less floaty.
Great game, fantastic art and sound. It's hard to find anything wrong with this game to be honest, you met your vision for sure and it's a very concise package. Nice job!
Interesting idea for a game, but it needs more depth. It could be fleshed out into a very interesting game if you had to do things like assign pilots, load missiles are cargo, pick missions, etc.
Some parts of the game look neat, but overall it's too visually busy. There are two many moving colours, and it took me about a minute to find my square. It's also not entirely obvious what's suppose to be happen. Also, when I go into the white areas of the map I can't see my character, which is kind of a pain.
Pretty simple but I really like the art and animations. The game's a bit easy, and I think the enemys should be able to uproot the carrot a bit quicker. Well done though.
Nice looking game, and I really like the concept. Unfortunately I think the snowball cap is far too low. At one point I ran out of snowballs and I couldn't do anything. The game also didn't end because the enemies didn't seem to be able to attack me.
Great style, great sound, interesting concept.
This really has great potential as a neat mobile game I think. It's simple, but an interesting twist on the match genre. The aesthetics are pretty great, and I like the sound effects. I would love to see this developed a bit further. Some clearer instructions would help make this easier to understand though.
Fantastic execution and great visual style. I probably won't play it a ton as this isn't my type of game, but it's really good. Some audio would have been a nice addition. Overall, well done!
Really neat game, the concept is cool and the graphics and sound are fantastic. I wish it didn't take as long to get into though. Also I'm having a weird issue with typing input not working everytime I press keys using Chrome and Mac. It may be something with my machine though.
Well done overall! It's certainly unique.
Great visuals and it controls very well. I especially like the penguin character models and the different enemy types. Great take on a Super Mario Bros. style game.
Neat concept and atmosphere for a game, fantastic art as well. The sound was great and really fit the game.
Although I found the separation of first and second stages quite annoying since it was almost impossible to click the buttons with the ship shaking around. That caused me to lose and I didn't want to go through the slow start again just to reach that point.
Fantastic game, great concept that starts out super easy and gets pretty tough at a nice rate. The art is simple, but fits the aesthetic perfectly. The only suggestion I'd have is to make it so that it's more apparently a white triangle is coming up under a red one.
Well done!
Great entry, fantastic sound and visuals. I especially like the simple but quality animations. Gives me a very old school feel from the action to the level design. Although I wish the player had life so you didn't die in one hit.
Great idea! Love the writing!
Great game, I love the art and sound, they suit the type of game it is perfectly. The gameplay is solid as well, and I could see this expanded with puzzles or different enemy types or elements. Well done!
Solid game with some ideas that could be expanded upon.
Nice art, and sound. The idea is pretty decent as well. I wish it was just explained a bit more if there was something I was supposed to do other than make zombies explode with marshmallows.
Great game, I really like the visuals and the music choices. I had a hard time getting the timing down for whatever reason. Perhaps a little more leniency would improve the experience.
Solid effort, I liked the interesting spells and the great pig sprite.
Neat game, although it's quite hard to control since there's so much going on. It'd probably be cool to have a mode where you could control the body and detached head at the same time.
The look is great, and I like the sound. It's very hard though, and I think this is because the player is so slow.
Great concept, it'd be cool if the portal stayed open longer so you could build combos. There were a few instances when a gold and a normal rock were on top of each-other and I didn't get the gold because the rock was slightly ahead. Perhaps a secondary goal would be interesting like collecting certain types of materials to craft additions to your ship. Overall, good job.
I liked this. It was a very good idea to include the developer's best times on the level select screens. Make it interesting to replay level and find the best way to complete them. Well done!
Decent little multiplayer game. It probably would have been better with out control for aiming, but it gets the job done. Nice work.
Great work! Nice that you have Xbox controller support! You should add an option for inverted Y axis :)
Didn't reach the end because I wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to be doing. It didn't seem like I could die either. Could be an interesting runner style game if you provided some more information.
Neat idea! I enjoyed the color pallet and effects!
Neat idea, could use a bit of polish!
I love the hilarious drawings and voices, one of my favorite games so far. Well done!
Pretty interesting mechanic, and great idea for a game. I'm a sucker for physics games. The cat running around and opening doors at inopportune times was also a good touch too.
Carrots are pretty good.
Fantastic game. The love the art style and the main mechanic is fantastic. I'd really love to see this expanded. It could probably make a good metroidvania style game.
Great game, I especially like the look of it.
Fantastic game, I love the presentation and sound. The concept is pretty great too, and environmental puzzle game is intriguing. Nice work overall.
Very silly, you should make a screen saver our of this.
This is fantastic, I'm not the biggest adventure game fan in the world but I'm really liking this. It's a great mix of action, humor, and puzzle solving. I'd really like to see this expanded, it's really well done. Congrats!
I like the graphics and it seems like a nice throwback to the NES. It did seem unfair though with the spikes you couldn't avoid unless you knew they were already there. The jump physics could also use some work, and perhaps consider making interact and jump different buttons. Well done overall though.
Fantastic little game you got here. It isn't complicated, but what you have works very well. Had a great time playing with a friend, it's quite intense. It's almost like a standoff, deciding whether or not you should make the first move, or wait for your opponent too
I found this game quite difficult. I was never quite sure what I was suppose to do, and there was so much going on it was hard to process. I think some more consistency between the graphics would help as well.
The gameplay idea was alright, and I think it could be quite interesting if it was improved upon a bit and explained some more.
Great concept, it really tested my vocabulary. Losing keys was also a great way to limit the player and penalize them from taking hits.
The only recommendation I could give would be a way to more quickly delete entire words quickly without having to press backspace over and over.
Great graphics and I especially like the small animation touches.
Decent idea for a game, could be interesting if expanded a bit to include different kinds of enemies. It could almost be a puzzle game based on predicted enemy movements.
I found it hard to see sometimes as some areas seem quite dark, and enemies were a bit easy since you could just wait until they were right next to you and use the corresponding hole.
Totally unconventional weapon though, good work.
Interesting mechanic that could definitely be expanded upon to make a cool game. With some polish, it could be quite fun.
Nice little game, the concept is great and it could be a pretty interesting physics based puzzler with lots of room to expand on this concept. The controls could use some work, and I'd like to see a little air control. Nice work!
Interesting game with a pretty neat mechanic. The jump distance based on charging is fun. The only issue I have with the game is that it's hard to see what's coming up before it's too late, especially when the carrot moves fast.
It's an interesting mechanic, but I think the player should move relative to the camera since it's often hard to tell which direction the player is facing. It'd be cool if there were different dogs to control that had different powers.
Fantastic game, I really like the main mechanic and it really adds a lot of strategy. It also feels quite complete. Well done!
Great game, love the style and exploration.
Interesting game, nice simple wave based shooter. I would have liked to see an indicator in the direction of bears since one time I lost by a bear off-screen getting to my hive. Some music would have been a nice touch as well. Though I do like the sound effects otherwise.
Sorry, but I wasn't really a fan of this game. I wasn't sure what exactly to do, and I kept either walking off of the level or getting through dozens of meters across the level and falling of the edge that way. I did like the strange crab looking creatures holdings weapons though.
Interesting take on the theme, and I like the setting. Well done.
It's a bit hard though so maybe it should be a little more forgiving.
Neat idea, can't say I've ever seen colour used this way in a game. The board looks pretty after a while as well. Well done.
Interesting mechanic, and the visuals are fantastic. Well done. The fact that the numbers on the dice are randomly though seemed a bit unfair.
Great presentation and mood, I especially loved the music.
Decent little game, I really like the environmental graphics. I found it hard to tell how close I was to the ground though sometimes. It'd probably also help if the camera was zoomed out a bit a more and there were indicators for the UFO locations when off-screen.
Interesting mechanic, much different from anything else I've seen during this jam. I like the graphics, and it's a pretty cohesive package. I think it did's a tutorial though. It's a bit hard to wrap your head around at first. Well done though.
Pretty solid game with some nice graphics. I really like the idea of consuming enemies to do different attacks. You should add an indicator to show whether or not you have consumed an enemy, so you can easily tell if you can shoot or not. I had a few glitches falling through the ground and platforms, but nothing game breaking.
Good work!
Great game! I love the concept, graphics, and the mood. It all just goes really well together. Only thing is I found it too easy since you're completely invincible in the dark, maybe there's some other way to balance that. Nice job!
Great idea, can't say I've seen a game use light like this in this style of game before. I think it scales a bit too fast though, and maybe more player damage or more obvious enemy health would help. Perhaps some powerups to help the player control the light source.
I like the art, but I think the controls are a bit awkward in some ways. Also the spikes falling through the first platform caught me off guard as I didn't expect it to happen.
Interesting mechanic, the laser bouncing could probably be expanded in so many different ways.
Decent little game, nice effort. With some more features in the levels it could be pretty interesting.
Great game, nice and simple but does everything well. I really like how the controls are simple to pick up, but quite hard to master. Nice work!
Decent little platformer, it could use some more content though. I also didn't realize I had a hammer I could through until after I beat it the first time haha.
Good job completing something.
Great game, pretty fun concept that appeals to my juvenile sense of humor.
Interesting mechanic, first game I've seen about herding and using livestock as a weapon. I also like the name, clever.
Beautiful games with some interesting mechanics that could make for some fun puzzle solving and exploration. The player control needs some work though, it's a bit floaty and much too easy to get stuck on walls. Well done!
Pretty solid game, there's a super interesting idea here with a few tweaks.
Nice little game. I really love the art and the minimalist design. The mechanic is also pretty interesting. It's slow and stealthy, but also a little fast because of the drive to back-hug.
I think you should tone down the film grain a bit and may be make it so only the room resets when you die.
Overall, really well done!
This is pretty tough. Seems like a pretty straightforward dual joystick shooting, but I'm not quite sure if there's something I'm missing or not. The movement is a bit floaty, but otherwise it controls pretty well.
Great game, super fun and it looks fantastic. Some pretty simple mechanics, but they're executed very well. Nice work!
Neat little game, I love the usage of maps. It was hard to read the text in the buttons and selection lists though because of my screen resolution I think.
This could be fleshed out to be an interesting horde mode style game I think with a bit of work on the controls and the gravity gun machanics. Perhaps fewer holes in the terrain would make it a bit less frustrating to move around.
I'd also recommend you make the enemy hitboxes a bit larger so you don't have to be as accurate with your clicks.
Nice game. I really like the art and the soundtrack, it's fantastic. The solo was also a pleasant surprise and quite satisfying.
Well done! I would tweak the controls a bit. Is it necessary to have to click E to kill enemies? Maybe it would be better if you just needed to land on them? Good job though!
Neat! Feels a bit mashy, could use a little something more to break up the repetition.
I think this game is too deep for me.
This seems really well done, and it's incredibly hard. It reminds me of the old school scrolling shooters I used to play as a kid. I like the aesthetics, and the music is pretty catch,
Interesting game, probably one of the more unique games I've played during this jam. I really love the graphics and the sound, they go together really well. The game's confusing at first, and could use some more explanation, but after you get the hang of it it's really interesting. Nice job!
Great little game, I love the visuals and the main stealth mechanic is pretty fun. Could make an interesting multiplayer game where some players are guards and others are villagers.
Interesting concept, but it's a bit hard to understand at first and the controls could use some work.
Great little game, I love the graphics and sound. The concept is interesting as well, it reminds me a bit of Ikaruga.
Great style, and it's a nice simple game. It could be improved with less movement granularity.
Great game, I love the simple art and gameplay. It's nice and quick to restart as well.
Great game, I love the look and feel. The screen shake is a little excessive, but it's not that bad. Great work for only having 48 hours. I like that you can't just hold down the shoot button, it feels great.
Awesome game. Super well executed and stylish. It's simple, but you pulled the idea off masterly. Well done!
Interesting puzzles and very unique style, though toning down the effects could help just a little bit.
Nice concept, it would have been great to be able to more quickly change to each shape without having to cycle through them.
Fantastic little game, great sound and graphics.
Solid idea, but needs a bit of polish. Reminds me of Spore.
GREAT IDEA!
Great art and audio, decent gameplay as well. I think the player should be invisible for a second or two after getting hit.
Neat game. Not sure exactly how this matches the theme but it could make a decent little typing game.
Neat game, I really like the graphics and the shape shifting mechanics. They work super well, and you can set up some interesting traps with them. I wish the gun was a little more accurate though, but maybe it's like that to make the player use the shapeshifting.
I like the music and art style, the cutscenes are story are a nice addition as well. On a keyboard the controls could be a bit tighter though, it's far too easy to accidentally hit balloons.
It's a pretty neat little game, and the idea of telling the player's when to shift using shapes is great. Though I did feel that the first level was a bit too hard, it could use a longer time limit or a shortened course. Some audio would have helped this game a great deal as well. Good effort overall though!
Nice graphics and animation, and neat mechanics with the various shape shifting forms. The music was a bit repetitive though.
Great little game, the art and sound were fantastic. The concept of transforming into characters with different abilities was great as well. The transformation animation was a bit slow though, and some forms seemed more useful than others. Well done overall though.
Neat idea, but it needs work. The input wasn't responsive and sometimes the left and right movement didn't work. Also I shouldn't be able to leave the play space with the pieces. Decent idea overall.
Neat idea, I think this could be a great game with some improved level design and additional mechanics. I liked the simplicity of the graphics and sound.
Fine little mini game, and I loved the self-deprecating humor.
Great little game, I love the art and the idea of shooting in multiple directions to destroy enemies. It's too bad there's no music though. Also, I think the game would feel better if the basic enemies died more quickly.
Great game, I love the music and the art. There was a bit of hitchiness on my laptop though for some reason. Overall, great effort though. It's quite unique.
You move a bit too slow, and the level design and polish could use work. Decent effort though.
Nice idea, gfxs are great! Well done!
Neat idea, even if it's a little rough around the edges. I love the art, but the main robot could use more animation. Also I got to the room with the lasers and the lasers were invisible and the background was blue for some reason. That made it a little tricky.
Neat game, very unique idea for a puzzle game. It would have felt a bit better if you could move by just holding the movement key.
Neat game, I really like the art style, but the music loop is far too short. I'm not sure why the ice state exists as it seemed like there was no reason to switch to it. Also maybe consider speeding things up overtime to make the game more challenging. Well done overall though.
Neat looking game, even though I got stuck pretty quickly.
Fantastic game. It's very polished and is a great idea. It's quite simple, but it does what it's designed to do very well. Some audio would have added greatly to the feeling of the game. Nice work!
Great game, would love to see it expanded upon into a phone game with friends! :)
Neat idea, even though I found that the gods get angry quite easily. They got so angry that they destroyed my statue. Great art and sound, even if the music got a bit repetitive. Nice work!
Neat idea, I really like the graphics and the concept. It feels really strange to control on PC though. Fix the control issues and you may have something compelling here.
Great game, simple and charming with some nice art. You should release a .exe that isn't an installer though. It'd lower the barrier to entry as people are much more likely to run a .exe than have to run an installer.
Neat little card game with simple mechanics. As someone who doesn't like complicated card games, it was great. The cards seemed a big blurry though.
Neat game, I like the graphics and the sound. I just wish there was a little more depth and maybe have the weapon point toward where the player is aiming. Overall, nice work.
I like the character art and the different abilities. The shark character seems to be the best by far though, so some more balance is required.
Nice work overall, congratulations to you and your daughter. The music was a bit repetitive, but the idea was pretty decent and could be expanded upon.
I love the style, it looks and sounds fantastic. The mechanics are a bit strange, but I think they work well. It's great how much you could fit within such a small screen.
Neat concept and it's always fun to see roguelike games. The controls felt a bit weird though. Overall, great effort.
GREEAT!
Great game! Thanks for sharing it with us! :)
GREAT IDEA!
Neat game, I love the art style and the mechanics. I wish I could choose which shape to turn into instead of having to cycle through them. Also, it's sometimes hard to see upcoming obstacles because they're blocked by the players shape.
Neat game, I love the music at the aesthetics. The mechanics are also very interesting. Some more check points would be useful to make it easier to experiment with the shrink/stretch without having to start the level over.
Great little game, you seem to have executed on your ideas quite well. It's not incredibly originally, but it plays well and is easy to understand. Well done.
Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare, hopefully you had a great time and plan to do it again in the future. Overall the game was decent for a first-timer, and it was certainly a unique interpretation of the theme. I wish there was just a bit more depth to the game. Keep it up though!
Neat idea, and very well done for 10 hours of work. The towers need to be buffed, because they seem a little useless right now.
Great looking game, and a very interesting idea. The first track is a great choice as well to set the mood. I only wish it wasn't as punishing with the 1 hit kill gameplay.
@triplefox What a fantastic comment, thanks so much. I have lots of reading to do. I'll keep all these things in mind if I decide to continue this project or work on another in the future.
I went into this with the idea of making a super striped down puzzle game with very few mechanics. It turns out there's a reason most puzzle games are more complicated. It's not as hard as I would have liked, but I've learned a ton about puzzle game design while working on it and reading your comment. Thanks again!
I really really like the graphics and sound in this game. Both are incredibly relaxing, and the visuals are a treat to look at. The puzzles get pretty tough pretty quickly, but they're never too hard to be frustrating. I don't really need much adherence to the theme, but it's a great game nonetheless.
From a fell cube puzzle game designer (check out my submission) - great work!
@teo-miklethun I thought about removing the move limit entirely, but I thought that'd just mean it didn't even get close to matching the theme so I decided to keep it around and provide the option to disable it on the title screen.
@kwaku Unfortunately I decided to use Unity's HDRP for this project and it doesn't look like it supports Web export. Sorry. If I have time I'll try to look into why the Linux version won't run, I'm just using the default build set-up for it.
@fis Hmm, that's very odd. Unity HDRP is what I used and it's fairly new so perhaps there's an underlying issue there. I'll try to hop over to my Linux partition some time soon and try to figure out what's up. Thanks for the heads up.
@webox The theme integration was keeping the blue block alive, or keeping your progress alive in the later levels where you have the action limit. If you hit the limit, everything is reset and you lose all progress.
The multiple block size is a great idea. That would really amp up the difficulty and the types of puzzles I could make. Thanks!
@ursagames Thanks for spending so much time playing it, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed Displacement. It's funny how different people can get stuck on different puzzles. It makes designing and ordering the levels really tough.
@michael-horst Thanks for the feedback. I actually have a note in my Github repo to make moves that result in no changes not take away from the action count. Probably gonna fix that this evening.
**Edit:** I went ahead and fixed that issue. So now the counter won't decrease unless your action actually moves the player or a block. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
@giulia Weird. I tried it on a MacBook earlier today and besides the initial slow load it seemed to work fine. Not sure there’s much I can do about that sorry.
@haoro Im glad you enjoyed it. The game is 3d and the blocks just use the basic Unity HDRP lit shader with a few tweaks to color, roughness, and metallic to give them some shininess.
@firesplash-entertainment I can always enable donations on Itch.io just for you haha.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and I appreciate you playing it on stream. I had a few ideas for other types of mechanics or blocks, but I decided to keep it as focused as possible for the jam so I could explore the push/pull/move mechanic.
Thanks for the feedback!
Neat idea for a puzzle game, I don't think I've ever seen a puzzle game whose puzzles are based around pathfinding. I liked the aesthetic as well. To mirror the criticism of others, I also thought it was a bit slow. Maybe speed up the movement animation or automatically finishing the movement when a puzzle was solved and walking to the end automatically would help a lot.
Great job overall!
Great game. I love the look and feel, it's very polished. It's a fun concept, and I think it'd benefit a lot from some pre-designed levels, maybe a maximum amount of moves mode so they're more like puzzles.
In its current state it's a little easy and doesn't really have much of a difficulty ramp. But procedurally designed puzzle levels are tough.
Great game though, the attention to detail really shows.
Neat game, short and sweet with a pretty novel puzzle machanic. With a few more enemy types and weapon options I could see this being a full-fledged game.
A few things I would tweak: - Get rid of the countdown after you press the run button. - Minor gripe, make the weapon rotation just point directly where the mouse cursor is instead of having it slowly rotate towards it.
Other than those really small things, I really enjoyed it. Good work!
This is super cool, much different than the usual Ludum Dare game. I like how co-operative it is and how I can just pop in occasionally for a few minutes to see how things are going. Nice work!
Neat little game, I'm a sucker for god-games like this. This is pretty challenging. I did manage to crash the web version of the game though when I zoomed in too much though.
As for improvements, I'd love if the game was slowed down a bit. It gets hectic pretty quickly. Good job overall!
Cool theme interpretation. There was a lot of polish, and I quite liked the simple aesthetic. All the different mechanics made the game feel really hectic as well, but in a good way.
There are a few small changes I'd make that would help a lot.
1) When you get a new message, maybe along with the envelope show the count of the total number of messages waiting. 2) Show how many messages are going to be removed when you send, because it can be hard to do the math when you're mashing keys and in a rush.
This is pretty incredible. I love the art style and the music, they fit together perfectly. The mix of offense and defensive capabilities is really interesting, but I'd love it if you had a few more action points at your disposal to make use of them, or maybe if the move was free. I thought the initial dialog was well written, but it went on for a bit too long. Maybe splitting up the offense and defense tutorials into separate levels would be a good approach to take if you decide to continue working on this.
Well done! This is certainly the best looking game I've see yet!
I really like the art style and the graphics. The mix of 2D character and 3D environment is great. It really reminds me of Paper Mario. It was a bit strange how the character was always in front of the 3D objects, but that's a minor issue considering the time limit. The turn-based combat system works well, but I would have loved to see more attack types and options while in combat.
Overall great looking game that I'd love to see expanded.
I really likes the sense of exploration and the mix of art and sound really sold the world for me. The concept was also fun, and the effects to go along with it without overuse of UI was fantastic, especially for a jam game.
I would've liked a mode that had checkpoints just to make it easier to explore the world you created rather than having to restart because of a small mistake.
Overall awesome entry with a lot of polish.
Neat little tower defence game. I really like the silly music, it's particularly good in the main menu. Moving around feels pretty good, though it wasn't immediately obvious that the player could jump multiple times. Also, disabling shooting after the player gets hit is a bit frustrating, I'd make sure that doesn't happen. Otherwise great little game, I'd love to see it expanded with more enemy types.
FYI: Your web version appears to cut off the sides of the game, not sure if you can fix that or not but I figure you'd like to know.
This is a pretty neat resource management game. It's a little easy, but I like how all the systems work together and how you constantly have to juggle crew-members. It would have been pretty cool if you could upgrade crew members, or choose ones with specific stats to hire.
Some audio would have made this great, I'm a sucker for pirate music and sea shanties. Good job!
Great little tower defence game with nice visuals. I thought it was a bit tough at first but then I learned you can sell towers for the same amount they cost, so I just started reorganizing the level between waves which I thought was pretty neat. Though I do think it's still a bit punishing overall.
There's also a weird bug (or maybe intended affect) with the tower that shoots down a hole row. It seems to shoot behind itself as well. Admittedly helpful, just not sure if it's intended.
Neat clicker game, I really like the hand drawn black and white art style and the available upgrades seem pretty good. The audio was good, but I didn't think the sound when you defeat an enemy fit all that well. I wish the upgrade numbers grew exponentially so it got really crazy with the damage numbers and enemy amount.
Unfortunately the damage over time temple seemed to stop working for me so I had to defeat everything by clicking myself. Other than that, great job!
I quick liked this simple tower defense game. The art style and sounds were great. Though I do think the difficulty ramped up a bit too quickly and the plants were overly needy for water and other help.
It's also be great to have some improved target prioritization. Often the plants we targeting enemies with high health instead of those in range with lower health. Maybe tweak that a bit or let the player click on enemies to prioritize them.
Great job!
Neat little game, very clever idea. The pixel art is absolutely fantastic, and I really like the audio. I think the game would benefit from some more feedback when putting out fire, or making it more obvious what the player was supposed to do. I was putting out fires then I suddenly got a game over screen with no explanation. I few tweaks to that, and maybe some feedback when you were getting really low ratings, would help a ton.
Great job!
Lots of places you could go with this. Different types of obstacles, environmental things like trampolines to bounce the fish, mud to get stuck, etc. Also I wish you could zoom out a bit when launching because it sometimes felt like it was down to luck whether or not I landed in a pond or not.
Nice relaxing work though, I like the art as well.
Neat little game, I quite like the pixel graphics and the exaggerated squash and stretch animations in places. It'd be great if the movement was a little faster and when you died you just had to redo the room not the whole level. I think the idea of a medic saving fellow soldiers could be a interesting one if expanded upon.
Good job!
I like the concept and I especially like the visuals and the minimal sound. It really gives me a feel of being alone in the wilderness on a freezing cold night.
The UI could use some work if you decided to expand upon this. In particular I had issues cooking the fish and drinking the water. The water pot seemed to get stuck on the fire unless I'm missing something.
Good effort overall, I'd love to see this expanded. Also, I love the title if your game haha.
This is a great looking, sounding, and feeling platformer. It's the perfect length for a game jam and had a great time throughout. I'd love to see more integration of the chargers throughout the levels to act as checkpoints or maybe different types of surfaces that drain or charge the player.
Nice work!
Cool little puzzle game, I really liked the art style and the concept. There's lots of room for great polish here like some effects and sounds when dropping blocks. Also maybe a hover that explains what each block does so I don't have to alt+tab out of the game to check the instructions on the Ludum Dare game page.
You could even make a set of puzzle levels out of this concept that have a starting set-up and a solution rather than just an infinite level.
Good work.
I really like the art style, and this is a cool take on a lemmings style game. It's unfortunate you didn't have more time to create more levels. One little tweak I'd recommend is to add a button to fast forward so you didn't have to wait after solving a puzzle.
Good work! I'd love to see this expanded with more content.
Great game, everything about the presentation is spot on from the graphics to the sound. It creates an eerie mood, especially given present day events.
I found it hard to select and control the nurse and doctors, perhaps the click selection could be tightened up. It also ramped up in difficulty really quickly, a bit of a slower start would help a lot.
Good job overall!
Congrats on finishing your first game jam. It's always an impressive feat. This feedback is all based on the original version, not the post-jam.
I liked the simple art style, and the game was pretty darn too. The game could use a bit more explanation or what the player is supposed to do as it wasn't clear. Maybe just consider writing some more information on your ldjam.com game page and adding a coin UI.
I look forward to seeing what you make for Ludum Dare 47!
Nice work Otis, this was great fun. Nice work, especially for someone so young. I like the concept, and with different enemy types and a few more mechanics it could be great.
A few suggestions: Try to make the aiming more accurate because as distance increases the bullets no longer go where the reticle is pointed. Also, it's be great if movement speed was a bit faster. This could be quick hectic and fun if it was really fast paced.
Good work! I can't wait to see what you come up with for Ludum Dare 47.
Great first game, certainly better than my first Jam submission years ago. The pixel art looks great, and I quite like the idea. Though I thought it was pretty unforgiving. It could use a bit more of a difficulty curve.
Good job.
Visually this game is incredibly impress, kudos to you at the team for being able to pull this off in 72 hours. It really set up a moody atmosphere and world.
It felt like a neat journey overall, but the controls were a bit more finicky than I would have liked. Maybe a feature when you click, drag, and release and the wind speed is based on how long you dragged before released would help a bit, rather than having to click and drag over and over.
Thanks for the visual treat, it's not often you get something that looks this high quality during a game jam!
I love the art style and this is a pretty unique kind of game to find in a jam. Point and click + hidden object games don't show up too often. I thought it was a fun 10 minutes, but not every interaction was obvious or made sense, but I guess that's just the point and click way.
Good work!
Congrats, I really love the sound, graphics, and level design of this. It feels super claustrophobic with the small hallways and random generation. I played a couple rounds of it, and I still can't really figure out what I was supposed to do though. Maybe some more detailed instructions are in order, or maybe I missed something. Super impressive though considering your limited use of Pico-8 in the past though. Well done!
Great little game, I like the concept and the art. This is pretty polished overall so congrats. I like how the items are swapped out and appear in the darkness so the player doesn't actually see it happening.
Some items that I thought should be flammable weren't, which was a little frustrating.I'm also not sure the flashlight running out was really all that engaging, but something could probably be done there to make it more fun.
Nice work overall!
Great game, I particularly like the player art and some of the enemy designs. The concept is really silly, but I didn't notice the enemies attacking the mother/caravan. Perhaps that would add another neat layer of risk vs. reward to the combat.
Nice work.
I like the gameplay mix between the hectic driving and the mundane desk work. The graphics are also pretty great too, in particular when driving the ambulance. The driving controls could use some work, but overall good job.
Also I made the mistake of drinking one beer, don't drink one beer.
Great job for your first game jam! Hopefully one of many more to come.
I liked the simple concept, it was fun and just the right amount of challenge. Could make a fun little mobile game if you added a few more features. It reminded me a lot of the Mario Paint Fly Swatter game from back in the day (maybe I'm dating myself).
As far as improvements, maybe make the swatter collision a bit smaller when it comes to hitting ladybugs. There were a few times where I hit ladybugs but I didn't really feel as though I should have.
Other than that, great job! I hope to play your next game at Ludum Dare 47.
The game is super well executed and is a fun infinite runner. The whole concept is morbidly hilarious, especially the hand popping out of the side with a plate of pasta. I feel really bad for Mr. Cheesy.
I found the game a bit hard to focus on visually in full screen, perhaps pulling back the camera a bit would help. Otherwise fantastic entry!
Great graphics and adherence to the theme. The presentation was spot on, and I liked the concept of the game. Stealth games are tough, but I have a few ideas of small tweaks you can make that I think would really improve things.
1) Make the camera move ahead of the player a bit so they can see what's coming. Or maybe even zoom out a bit. 2) Don't make the enemies start chasing the player so quickly, maybe add a warning to the player that they've been seen so they can quickly turn off the light. 3) There were a few collision issues there I'd stop being able to move forward, and I'd have to jump over a tile or something to keep going. Sometime's unity's boxcolliders can be a bit finicky when tiled which I'm assuming was the issue.
Overall though I think with those few improvements, and maybe another couple enemy types, this would be a fantastic game. You already nailed the audio visual experience, so congrats!
I like the art style, the robot looks good and has some nice simple animations. I'd recommend toning down the chromatic aberration, it's quite hard on the eyes. I like the concept of stopping to increase what you can see but rusting quicker if you do so. Ya'll had a unique approach to the theme with the rusting, so bonus points for that.
Nice work everyone!
I'm just gonna start by saying, that's a fantastic looking horse. The rest of the game's art is quite good as well. The collision and controls should use a bit of work as I found it hard to put my character exactly where I wanted them. Also a checkpoint system or something of the sort would be handy so that when you fall off a ledge you didn't have to start from scratch.
Nice work. I'll finish by saying again, that's a fantastic looking horse.
Great little puzzle game. I made a puzzle game for the jam as well so I can appreciate how tough it is to create interesting puzzle ideas and make levels do kudos for that. I really like the style and aesthetic of the prison escape, and the ways the guards react is quite good.
The game was a bit on the easy side this most puzzles having basically the same solution. In the future you could mix this up by maybe having guards that only attack when in a block right next to the player, walls, security cameras that you can't walk into at all, guards that have a wider field of view, and bigger grids.
I really think this concept has legs, and you could go lots of directions with your aesthetic choice. Well done!
Neat little platformer. I like the main character and the concept. The levels also felt a bit openworld-ish which was neat, almost Sonic like in that respect. I also like your title screen with the angry fire and water characters, that was nice.
I do feel that the movement is too fast though a little unresponsive. Might work a little better if the character was zoomed out a tad more. Though that can be forgiven given the limited time (I'm going to assume your character uses Unity physics, correct me if I'm wrong). If you ever decide to expand upon this give something like Prime31's 2D character controller a look https://github.com/prime31/CharacterController2D. That approach gives you a lot more accuracy and control over your 2D platformer character movement which is key.
Great job though, the world needs more cool playformers!
Wow, you guys are apparently way better than me if you're getting scores like that after a few runs. Maybe I should bump up the difficulty. It does scale based on death doing things like spawning less air the deeper you go, and spawning more stone blocks. But maybe the numbers need some tweaking.
@budark you must have just got unlucky, that’s unfortunate. Maybe something I can tweak to make that not happen since it's not really fair that the game itself makes it impossible to go further. I might just force an air block to spawn if one hasn't spawned in the last 30 depth or so. The joys of totally random procedural generation.
@budark @noam-zeise @minibobbo I updated the game so that if an air pocket hasn't show up for ~17 depth then it'll force one to spawn. Hopefully that fixes your issues.
@cary-stanley That’s not a bad idea, it could for sure. I might add that in assuming that’s something that would be allowed since it’s not technically a bug.
@peculiarcarrot Wow that score's impressive! Sorry about causing you a repetitive stress injury haha.
@pancelor Thanks for checking it out, and thanks for the feedback. I thought about adding some more block types, but I figured because I wanted to focus on speed I'd keep it as simple as possible. Things to think about for a post-jam version though.
It was actually my first attempt at using pico-8 and I liked the two a lot. The limitations really helped me get this thing done in time.
@spadekhemoglobiny @super-hadoken I'm glad you both enjoyed the game. Thanks for pointing out the issue with the high score system, apparently I wasn't checking against the previous high score before setting the new one. It should be all fixed now. The high score won't persist after closing the game, but it'll work as expected as long as the game stays open.
Neat little game, I like being able to grab the faces and use them to more quickly control my movement. I also like the character sprite. I wish there was an indicator showing how far until the bottom of the pit so I can decide how I want to control my speed. Neat little game overall though, nice work.
This is fantastic, the level of polish for a jam game is really great. I love the colour palette and how smooth you transition between "levels" as well. Nice work!
This is a pretty cool jam game. I love how it looks, and I love how the water and fire interact with eachother.
Neat game, I like the upgrade system and the concept is pretty interesting. I think it'd be cool if people messaged you goals and you had to take pictures of specific things for bonus money. Nice work all around, it was pretty relaxing to play.
Really though game, I like the concept but I find the character controls a bit floaty and it's hard to line up to catch the bullets. Maybe if the character acted like a vacuum and sucked in the bullets from a greater distance or angle it'd help with that.
Neat little game, I like the sound and the general idea. It would've been cool if it was procedurally generated and you could keep digging forever, maybe finding tougher enemies as you went deeper. I'm partial to jam games with people digging if my game didn't make that obvious. Good work!
I like the look at the idea of collecting stuff to upgrade your items to collect more stuff is always fun. The controls would use a little tightening up, but nothing major. Maybe making some blocks drop more items than others would be fun to change things up a bit.
Beautiful game, I especially like the ending zoom out and animation. I wish it would have been a little bit longer because it looked and sounded great.
Neat game, I like the art style and the mechanics. The controls are a little finicky and inaccurate, but I'll give that a pass being it's a gamejam and all. Integrating other things in the environment like the boxes was a cool touch. Timing in some of the puzzles was tricky, even though I figured out the solution. Maybe some sort of ghost of the rewinding character would help with that to show the path it's going to take backward.
This is super cool, I love how it looks and the game feel is great with all the sound, shake, and squishiness of the character. I also like being able to pre-load the explosion while falling. One little change I'd recommend is being able to retry without going back to the main menu. Otherwise this is a great little game.
Neat game, I love how colourful the videos are. I like the mechanics but the clicking seems a little inconsistent, sometimes it works right away and sometimes there's a delay. Occasionally it also doesn't highlight the group of blocks I'm moused over as well. But that's minor stuff that can be tweaked, overall this is a cool idea and would work well on mobile.
This was a real treat. There's a lot of polish in this from the animation blob animation to the puzzles themselves. This could make for a really cool full-release game if a few more gameplay elements were added. I could like to have seem some more automation in terms of character movement though. Instead of having to move block by block in some instances it'd be great if the multi-block movement always worked.
Nice job!
I really liked the art, and the transition between sections of the level when you hit the block is pretty cool. The controls could use some work though, even just adding some more air control would help a lot. Maybe making it a bit less floaty as well.
Cool concept, I like the art and the idea is great. Being able to cut an elevator loose feels good as well. I'd agree with some other commentators though, it wasn't obvious that you need the full path for a soul to start moving. Just fixing that little issue and allowing partial paths would be a huge improvement.
Cool game, I really like the aesthetic and gameplay idea. It's a fun challenge to keep yourself in the air while fighting the enemies. The slow motion is really overpowered though, there's really no reason to just keep it on the whole time as aiming without it is quite tough.
I like the graphics and the idea is solid, a bit of a tutorial would help though to learn how to catch the creatures. It was quite hard and frustrating at first. Also it might work better with more of a top-down view so you can see everything better.
Great little golf game, I really like the atmosphere and the transition from hole 1 to 2 was pretty cool. The difficulty jump between the first and second hole was a bit high in my opinion. Maybe an option to play without a stroke limit (or maybe an easy mode where walls are added) would help so players could see all the holes. Great job!
Neat little game, I like the choice of art and the controls were solid and responsive. It was a bit short, so it'd be cool to see this expanded upon. Maybe with player items or more obstacle types.
Congrats on your first gamejam, this is a great first effort. I like the dog sprite. I would have been nice if you could go deeper though. Maybe the ball can keep falling even lower if you're not fast enough.
I liked the main character and the maze-like nature of it was a cool idea with the lighting/fog of war. The input seemed a little inconsistent and sometimes my inputs weren't registered.
I really like how this looks and I think you could take that smashing mechanic and add some cool combat or collection stuff on top of it. As you know there's not much here, but it looks and feels great (until the framerate starts going bonkers anyway haha). Nice job.
