LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Raged Milling by ShadowBrain 2014-04-28T08:24:00

@gwa Yeah it may seem like the controls are changing all the time, it makes more sense of you use a controller, keyboard does feel a bit weird.
@GagaPete Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun. Yeah I might add in a quick help screen at the start. Thanks!

Raged Milling by ShadowBrain 2014-04-30T23:34:00

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, I'm going to refine this game further and release it on android, ouya and Gamestick in about a month or two after I polish it further. :D

LD30 — Connected Worlds

merge guys by Tanner 2014-08-25T20:09:00

Speaking of death scenes, yours isn't so bad either!

Space Puncher by ShadowBrain 2014-08-25T12:14:00

Thanks hephaestus_rg, yeah I originally intended it to have a proper ending but I couldn't do it. Thanks for the complement though! :)

And Clyde, thanks, I just added in sounds, figured I could since I put it in as a Jam entry. :D

Space Puncher by ShadowBrain 2014-08-25T20:03:00

Thanks Tanner!

Marvalgames, I'm sorry, what do you mean?
You can punch up/down by pressing up or down before punching.

God Bless My Spaceship by Autonomous 2014-08-28T13:23:00

Worked great on my Nexus 5, nice game, gameplay felt a bit slow though, probably due to the slow movement, and I ended up having to tap quite a bit, hoping the object I grabbed would fit on.
Also, I had no idea what most objects would do to my ship.
I had fun though, if the speed gets upgraded a bit and it's easier to place parts where you want them to be this game can definitely use a full release! :)

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Serpedelic by deltagardner 2014-12-09T11:04:00

Hah lacks somewhat of an end goal but amazing how you've made it for the Gameboy. Extra points for that!

Chance Encounter by allurious 2014-12-09T10:40:00

Nice work! Came out really well, though some additional polish is required I think it stands its ground pretty well for what it is! :D

SCREEN HEAD by NickZangus 2014-12-09T16:37:00

Nice game! Feels super polished and nice, but it gets sorta repetitive, I think it's the amount of time you spend just clicking. Great work overall though! :)

I Am Technician by Murchurl 2014-12-09T11:11:00

Nice idea but I think the overly complex control scheme and goal kind of ruin the game.
People shouldn't need a tutorial video to be able to play your game!
Nice job on the visuals though, simple but fit the task.

GTFO by semdog 2014-12-09T10:58:00

You should probably pu the .jar in a zip file together with the assets folder and put that up for download instead! Can't run it like this it seems.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Zombies 'N' Marshmallows by ShadowBrain 2015-04-21T11:19:00

Cool! Thanks for the feedback Madball. If I pursue this game any further I will definitely make things more clear and get a healthbar in for the boss.

OrangeeZ, you can actually roast them on the fire! It just takes some effort, you have to get one on a stick, then hold it in the fire using the stick.

Thanks for playing, everyone! :)

Zombies 'N' Marshmallows by ShadowBrain 2015-04-21T22:25:00

Hmm... I might need to put a cap on the amount of zombies the machines can spawn, it's currently not limited so taking too long results in tons of zombies active...

LD33 — You are the Monster

MonsterMystery by ShadowBrain 2015-08-25T19:47:00

Haha Pierrec, I saw the sliding bug once too, I thought I had it covered but apparently not! Lots of systems working together, not very well it seems.
Glad you had fun though, that's what I was aiming for :)

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Planty Gauntlet by ShadowBrain 2015-12-14T22:03:00

Solved the falling problem not too long after uploading. But yes I agree, I just had a massive creative block...

LD35 — Shapeshift

Boxey by ShadowBrain 2016-04-19T23:32:00

@Arvydas A box is a shape right?
And you shift boxes into the trucks.
:D
(Far fetched I know.)

LD39 — Running out of Power

Punchey! (VR ONLY) by shadowbrain 2017-08-02T13:44:31Z

@zulubo There is no health! If an active robot hits your head's collider the level restarts haha.

Probably should've made that more clear somewhere.

Punchey! (VR ONLY) by shadowbrain 2017-08-19T10:27:31Z

Nope, sorry, VR games (and SteamVR specifically) make use of a lot of ram, and 32 bit systems can only handle 4GB of it which isn't a whole lot, so it makes no sense to be running VR on a 32 bit system, which means you likely don't have VR.

Extraction by roguenoodle 2017-08-03T13:45:00Z

Fun little game, love the visual style. :)

LD42 — Running out of space

Huke by Hegemege 2018-09-06T17:10:42Z

Not sure how often you check your twitter but I spent some time making a VR conversion, short little video here: https://twitter.com/TheShadowBrain/status/1037749109787185152 :)

Night Shift by TomekS 2018-09-05T19:20:28Z

Ah, dang, the source code link isn't public.

I was going to do a quick VR port of this haha, can't get to the source code though :(

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Catchey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2018-12-07T20:18:31Z

You're right! I forgot to fill out the LD link on itch @saoi-games thanks :)

@designernap it uses the new SteamVR input rebinding, try going into the steamVR overlay in VR, bottom right settings, lowest option should be "Controller binding", there should be a selectable binding there somewhere for Rift...

LD44 — Your life is currency

Underworldey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2019-05-20T07:57:14Z

You actually automatically get whatever item is in the chest, no need to grab anything.

I know that was a little unclear though :p

Necromarket by Flaterectomy 2019-05-19T23:32:33Z

Stellar work! Great on all fronts.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Upgradey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2019-10-09T11:11:02Z

It says "VR only" in the title....

LD49 — Unstable

Turtles All The Way Down (VR required) by andyman404 2021-10-04T18:13:29Z

Fun little game! The environment is a little barren but overall it looks and feels good to play. I got 434 meters!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Herdey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2022-04-07T12:56:28Z

@eli-delventhal working on it! Should be up in an hour or two- dusted off my Quest 1 and waiting for it to charge haha.

Herdey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2022-04-07T15:20:06Z

Quest and Vive Focus 3 builds added for anyone with one of those. ( @eli-delventhal )

You won't get the fancy controller rendering as that's a whole bag I didn't want to get into with UnityXR haha.

Monkey Seen, Monkey Screwed by Roolow 2022-04-07T11:22:21Z

Fun little game!

Graphics could use some spicing up, I can see there's some artistic talent there but clearly you ran out of time to give it what it deserves haha.

As others have said, controls feel weird but make sense after a few moves.

Could try and make the monkey go to the direction you've pressed even if it requires them to move around multiple corners maybe?

Volcano by ABRDs 2022-04-06T23:52:52Z

I made a quick VR conversion of this one, forked it on github  Thanks for including the source!

This little game was pretty neat. Quick playthrough on my Valve Index (though it works on whatever really since it's using OpenXR which supports a lot of headsets) https://youtu.be/JdK_eoHzCn8 I could've converted it more properly and have the pushing be tied to your two hands separately but that'd require a bit more refactoring than I was willing to do haha. Was fun though!

Also missing is the screen shake when you game over, sorry about that, cinemachine cameras all basically broke when adding VR so I had to get rid of em...

Chess? by dreamscale 2022-04-10T13:27:40Z

Fun little game, thanks for posting the source!

I made it into a VR game real quick, here's a short playthrough: https://youtu.be/ADyKpSr6Tu8

Quite enjoyable to play, might also fit well on a standalone VR device, with some love given to the environment, like maybe have it be set in a nice little cottage with a fireplace or something going. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hospital Dash by brads.space 2022-04-08T11:59:20Z

Fun little game!

I converted it into VR for fun, here's me playing it on my Valve Index: https://youtu.be/99x3iVB4SMM

Thanks for including the source! It didn't include the camera code though but I was going to throw it out anyway in favor of making the player giant

Last Person in Chernobyl Simulator VR by Legolula 2022-04-05T22:14:47Z

Ooo another VR entry. Hope this one is gonna work through SteamVR with my Valve Index- will have to check this one out soon. You should really tag your game on itch as virtual-reality and ludum-dare-50 haha, I thought mine was the only PCVR entry for a bit!

Edit: ah dang, it doesn't like SteamVR :( Well, my entry works with any headset through SteamVR, hope you'll give it a go!

(I'll grab your source code and make it work for SteamVR myself tomorrow)

Edit2: Couldn't resist and had a quick look, all I had to do was swap out the Oculus UnityXR plugin for the OpenXR plugin which supports a lot more headsets, and it "just worked" after adding the interaction profiles for the different controllers

I forked your game and comitted the fix, feel free to pull it into your source or make the changes yourself if you want- it doesn't break Oculus support.

As for the actual game, you have some fun "my first VR game" interactions here, does seem like you kind of ran out of time and had to rush the graphics together though, but good effort! I liked the refining uranium bit the most as it's a multi-step interaction.

Last Person in Chernobyl Simulator VR by Legolula 2022-04-06T06:57:14Z

@smilewood you likely have to set SteamVR as the default OpenXR provider somewhere, it popped up as a complaint for me to either ignore or accept on SteamVR so not entirely sure where the option is

Last Person in Chernobyl Simulator VR by Legolula 2022-04-10T00:07:03Z

Congrats on 20 ratings! I still need a couple to get there... hoping I can.

Anyone with VR hardware- please give my game a look! :p

Last Person in Chernobyl Simulator VR by Legolula 2022-04-10T13:42:57Z

@legolula I also converted a couple Compo entries with source posted into VR entries, given the lack of VR entries this time around it seemed appropriate :stuck_out_tongue:

So if you want to try a couple other games in VR there's a blogpost on my feed about them.

AGAIN! AGAIN! by CrocodileTuesday 2022-04-08T15:31:30Z

I'm going around converting entries into VR ones, this one should be hilarious to do.

Back in a couple hours with a VR conversion!

AGAIN! AGAIN! by CrocodileTuesday 2022-04-08T16:20:54Z

Alright here it is, man this one is wild, there's some kind of motion blur effect on that gets really intense in VR haha!

Quick playthrough: https://youtu.be/uODS-QKBkQc

Good stuff. Thanks for posting the source!

Ecollapse by Daniel Robledo 2022-04-09T11:28:44Z

Nice graphics, I wasn't convinced my doing anything was actually affecting the planet though?

The way the buttons work in the bottom left was a bit un-intuitive, would've expected them to work like selection buttons that switch what Mouse 1 did perhaps?

Reactor Guy by GummiBot 2022-04-08T13:51:31Z

I converted this game into a VR game for fun, thanks for including the source!

Quick playthrough: https://youtu.be/E30UVXTFch8

I forked it on Github, so the source of this is out there, though I messed up some of the commit messages haha.

Well done!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Parcel Problems. by Jacob Diaz 2022-10-06T10:53:30Z

Your sourcecode isn't set to public :p

I was hoping to make a VR fork of this, seems like it'd fit pretty well.

Parcel Problems. by Jacob Diaz 2022-10-06T14:06:02Z

Lovely! Will have something up tomorrow. :)

Parcel Problems. by Jacob Diaz 2022-10-07T13:38:11Z

Got it done! I ended up using the physics grab code I wrote for my own entry because it's a lot more stable than the stuff you had and includes rotation which does feel nicer in VR haha.

https://github.com/ShadowBrian/parcelproblems_VR_Fork

https://youtu.be/vizNUWfFLRQ

It gets pretty hectic in VR!

Also needs quite a bit of physical space because of how it's set up, pretty fun though!

Parcel Problems. by Jacob Diaz 2022-10-07T19:30:50Z

Thanks! Would love more ratings on my VR entry since you've mentioned you have a headset :p

10 seconds or less by DrunkardWolf 2022-10-06T13:37:52Z

Fun little game!

I made a VR port of it, thanks for posting the source!

https://github.com/ShadowBrian/10SecondsOrLess_VR_Fork

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzUDecMH6o8

I must say, it works surprisingly well in VR.

I had some difficulties with your wall running script and getting that to work smoothly in VR, so it gets a little glitchy sometimes sadly.

Still fun to play through though!

The CyberZapper by Vhalenn 2022-10-04T21:25:23Z

I made a VR conversion of this one, it's just a thing I've been doing for fun, thanks for posting the github repo!

https://github.com/ShadowBrian/LDJAM_51_TheCyberZapper_VR_Fork

https://youtu.be/OxxL61f8BOI

(The UI looks off but it's centered in VR, video only shows left eye hah)

Yo, Listen! by Trabasura 2022-10-04T13:01:44Z

Made a VR conversion of this one- was neat! I honestly have no idea how to complete the game yet but I just really wanted to get it working in VR :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for posting the source repo!

Faster Food by Ani 2022-10-04T13:18:22Z

Great stuff here!

I was hoping to make a VR conversion of it (I've been doing this since last LDjam to make up for the lack of virtual reality entries) but your source code is literally just code and not a full Unity project like I was expecting haha.

Oh well, fun ideas here for sure! :)

The Deca-Secundial Plant Nursery™ (VR Only) by Dawnreaver 2022-10-05T13:55:10Z

Oh wow, a VR title! I might try and dig out my Quest 1 and see if I can get it running- any reason you didn't put up a PCVR build though?

You might have a tricky time getting ratings :(

LD52 — Harvest

Pickey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2023-01-09T19:56:34Z

@unidaystudio I've been doing VR jam entries since 2016 so I can't really do a postmortem from a new person's perspective haha! I might write one anyway though, but yeah, loads of experience so I'm really comfortable doing VR entries at this point. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Pickey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2023-01-12T09:25:03Z

@hypernoodlejon I set this one up using OpenXR which makes reading finger curls hard :/

I have an Index and did miss it, it's not hard to set up with SteamVR Input but I didn't use SteamVR Input for this so I could more easily make standalone Android ports :p (Which I didn't do because the game didn't get the full scope I was hoping to give it...)

Pickey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2023-01-19T12:27:26Z

Thanks @rolly ! I've been putting more effort into my 3D art recently.

I do generally have a bit of trouble getting enough ratings, but I've been doing VR entries since 2016 and have found that if I actively try I can get it done and get ranked.

Usually adding a playthrough video also helps though those ratings do feel a bit less "genuine" so if I can get away without a video like that I'll prefer that.

One of my past entries even got in the top 50 overall! (Punchey, LD39)

Pickey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2023-01-23T13:52:26Z

@cursedembassy Glad you enjoyed it! Have you seen any other VR entries this jam? I've been having a hard time finding any...

Space Harvest by ThunderChief 2023-01-10T17:08:52Z

I got a bit lost due to all the similar looking walls, could've probably used a few more landmark areas to help folks find their way! Neat little game though. :)

The Heat by DzejPi 2023-01-13T13:22:50Z

The walking sounds got a bit repetitive but overall it's a neat little game! Gets very frantic once the fire starts spreading- I was trying to destroy crops in a circle around the center to section it off from the fire but it appears the fire spreads far beyond that haha.

Moon Harvester by owca 2023-01-11T12:20:21Z

Fun game! It took me a while to figure out that the containers were generic and not for specific ores, but that was mostly down to me not reading the instructions at first haha.

Calorie Crunch by Sean Esopenko 2023-01-11T12:05:19Z

Fun little concept, I definitely got confused a bunch about which to combine to get what food out of it though haha.

LD53 — Delivery

Deliver or Die by Imphenzia 2023-05-03T13:14:09Z

Very interesting setup, well done!

Superfetch Dog by benjamin 2023-05-02T11:15:51Z

Great little game! This game has much more to it than I thought at first glance, I hope you'll polish up this submission page so it gets a little more of the attention it clearly deserves. :dog:

I got here because I was checking out top entries from the last LD and seeing what they made for the current one, heh.

Deliverey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2023-05-02T11:00:42Z

@rradu I've put up a quick little playthrough video :)

Cloud City Cargo by homeworld 2023-05-02T16:53:45Z

A bit too hard to control in my opinion, very cool art though!

The menus weren't that intuitive either, would maybe put up buttons hints in the base UI too.

Overall great job, but lots of things to improve!

Pizza Delivery Flying Bot by Artemy Zen 2023-05-02T16:58:25Z

The graphics were nice, just a shame the controls are so impossible...

Entomoria by Frib 2023-05-02T11:35:20Z

Decent concept but the theme does seem a bit shoehorned in there, I guess the ant larvae things were delivering a package? The environment and enemy variation could use a bit more work too.

Rocket Car Delivery by TumblingPuffin 2023-05-03T13:31:15Z

Fun little game! Fairly unforgiving in terms of gameplay but that's part of the design I suppose.

Graphics feel a bit bare bones but at least they're consistent throughout!

Hive by blank_3D 2023-05-03T10:05:08Z

For some reason I can't play this one- it just says "Re-bee" as if I've died and clicking it does nothing?

It looks cool though, just can't actually play it!

LD54 — Limited Space

Redneck Rocketeers by Virtual Window 2023-10-10T12:20:59Z

Tried it, had no clue what to do.

Seems like there's a lot of conveyance issues here, the general interactions were glitchy and the fonts on the screens are really hard to read.

Smooth joystick walking doesn't seem to work properly at least on the PC OpenXR build since it just launched me backwards, ended up using teleport to make things playable but you can't teleport if you hold an item in your right hand for some reason, and the only proper interaction is removing and inserting energy cells (?) which is really glitchy and hard to do for some reason.

There's some decent art but I would've liked to see the hands animate at all to make it feel less puppet-y.

I think something broke because eventually I was unable to make the ship "jump" to the next section, and the screen on the left stopped showing anything.

I'm mostly left wondering how a team of 25 people managed to put together a game that doesn't explain how to play itself at all and feels this rough.

Was there some kind of communication problem going on maybe?

I really wanted it to be great since this is the only other VR game entered aside from my own but it really didn't blow me away...

Perilous Platforms by rcxa 2023-10-08T11:04:46Z

Neat little game- definitely feels like it could use multiplayer but that might also make the game take super long... Took me 23 turns, which looks to be about the average looking at the rest of the comments, heh.

Gallery by Lettas 2023-10-08T12:07:56Z

It seems like you hard-coded which object is required for each door, I think a lot of people's inclination would be to take pictures of objects with them to the next room since you can delete individual pictures in the list.

Should've defined the objects as types and have the doors require types instead of specific objects.

Pretty neat game overall though! I will probably make a little VR fork of this one :)

Gallery by Lettas 2023-10-08T13:43:06Z

Alright, did it, here's a little playthrough of my VR fork: https://youtu.be/5ylUJ9QUb10

Pretty fun stuff! Had to correct a couple things since grabbing part of the main camera for the screenshots wasn't working in VR, so instead I added a specific render texture camera for that bit. :)

LD55 — Summoning

Yup, all me, all during the jam! I've got some WIP shots up on my twitter too: https://twitter.com/TheShadowBrain/status/1779107379918913713

Summoney (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2024-05-02T13:52:16Z

I did intentionally make the puzzles solvable in multiple ways! :p

But yeah it is generally designed with index/touch controllers in mind, my old vive wands are in a box in the closet somewhere and not usable because I've got 2.0 base stations up haha.

I do know teleportation is generally nicer but it's a bit more involved to make it "fool proof" so to speak, people tend to cheese things when they can just teleport around...

The book does have little numbers indicated where to start/end the tracing but I agree it could've been a bit more clear.

Summoney (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2024-05-02T21:30:29Z

Ah no the rotation is based on your look position, it just does a trace from your eyes and where it hits a wall/floor it'll make the symbol point.

Runic Distractions by 1y1e 2024-04-24T11:16:24Z

Interesting! Not a massive fan of button mashing personally but it is a neat creative way to use a keyboard haha.

The Fifth Ritual This Week by Jonathan Fischer 2024-04-24T11:25:48Z

Nice atmosphere for sure, as everyone has said.

The actual gameplay is a glorified fetch quest, you can get through it by spamming F on everything you see basically, could use a bit more direction I guess?

I didn't see the actual summoning instructional paper until I had already grabbed everything blindly, which should tell you the paper should be clearly visible somewhere obvious way sooner...

Also the mouse smoothing feels a bit off-putting and extreme, if you're smoothing out the mouse you should make the default setting fairly subtle I feel like.

Nightlife Necromancer by spiralhalo 2024-04-24T11:01:39Z

Gameplay could use a bit more depth, maybe a bit more conveyance of the progress because I felt like I was just sacrificing having access to the skeles I summoned for some unknown amount of time?

Overall it just felt like I was pressing buttons corresponding to symbols and that's it...

Very nice artstyle though, nice overall vibes for sure.

Poisonous Pact by Stefan Funke 2024-04-24T11:08:39Z

Neat little game, took a little bit to figure out what to do but it all came together nicely!

Could imagine multiple levels that slowly lead to the wizards demise instead.

@jellyfishhunter It's likely to do with the default OpenXR provider not being set to SteamVR, open up the SteamVR settings and go into the OpenXR tab, check if it's set to SteamVR there.

Hope that helps!

MeepToss by killthealias 2024-10-08T16:08:43Z

Awesome! Another VR entry! Definitely gonna check this one out soon.

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-09T11:51:37Z

Neat game! Default sensitivity was WAY too high for me, and there was a lot of hangs. If you'd done a PC build I would've preferred that, I think WebGL is at its limits on this one

INFESTO by game dynasty 2024-10-08T09:50:44Z

It looks nice but I couldn't get anything to happen! A little controls description would be nice.

Dino Island Safari by Skleembof 2024-10-09T11:59:53Z

Decent little rail shooter, just a bit confused how this relates to the theme?

And it was fairly basic since all you do is shoot dinos, there's no extra obstacles to shoot out of the way or buttons to press.

Dino Island Safari by Skleembof 2024-10-09T13:22:20Z

Makes sense! Btw you should totally consider adding VR support, this seems like it'd basically be perfect for it! :)

Oozemancer by Vadstart 2024-10-09T11:12:17Z

Holy shit another VR game! Definitely giving this a play, if you could please play mine too! VR players are hard to come by.

edit: I gave it a fair shot but you appear to have rescaled the player without considering if their camera can even see correctly, the IPD doesn't rescale correctly by default in unreal I'm guessing making the hands look stereo-incorrect and way too small, and the near clip plane is way too large making the hands disappear when they get too close to your head while they're already fairly hard to see.

The controls feel reversed, as if they were made by a left-handed person, there's no reason not to just use both joysticks for walking since there is no rotation built in, same with both A buttons, would make it more accessible to right-handed people (I'm ambidextrous but still had some trouble adjusting since most VR games use left for walking and right for jumping/rotation).

The goo looks really nice when it lands though, that whole system feels juicy, though their angles just being aligned with your hand feels a bit weird since it makes platforming somewhat awkward, might have been nicer to have them aligned like platforms which would make traversal feel a bit less awkward.

I hope this doesn't come off as too bash-y, I think you could improve all of this fairly quickly and it'd make the game feel much better!

Restoring Reparia by SerenityDev 2024-10-09T10:57:40Z

Played through it entirely, mainly because I felt the pikmin influence a bit (which my game was also influenced by) and it looked neat, but it was very repetitive.

Was there supposed to be sound? I didn't hear any.

Conveyance was kind of poor, do different colored guys actually have different abilities?

I would've loved to see a little more autonomy in the little guys so I wasn't stuck clicking one guy over and over to kill it, I'd have preferred if I could just click a few guys onto one enemy and move on, trusting they'd take care of them.

There was also essentially no challenge, once the enemy was knocked down, they'd just stay down.

Also, when going back to the "hub" I would often mistakenly re-enter the same level, you should probably 180 the player so holding W doesn't just restart the same level.

Overall decent effort! Definite room for improvement (And sound! Unless my copy just didn't have any...)

Fixey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2025-04-08T21:28:21Z

This game is VR only (as it says in the title) sorry!

Fixey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2025-04-09T19:20:35Z

Yeah sorry I ran out of time to finish up the water effects so they remained fairly basic! Same with the final stage...

Fixey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2025-04-13T14:04:07Z

That is odd! I can't recreate that, maybe try the native build and install the APK? The game is virtually identical, should be solid enough.

Fixey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2025-04-24T19:27:21Z

Thanks for sticking with it! Glad you were able to get it working :)

Fixey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2025-04-25T22:29:28Z

Ah the outline is not an outline! It's a broken fuse! Sorry, I really rushed the art on that bit because of time constraints...

Cardey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2018-04-26T14:05:59Z

@croewens Get a Windows Mixed Reality headset! (assuming you're on Windows 10)

They're probably the most affordable ones out there atm and they're quite decent. :)

Cardey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2018-04-27T18:24:25Z

You are correct @Sky. Problem is if I kept repositioning the player I also had to check the surrounding area to make sure the player doesn't get positioned inside the wall, didn't have the time for adding such checks so I had to compromise, which is why the player only moves if you hit teleport pads, more control over where the player went.

A post-jam version could potentially be more golf-like, I wanted to add multiplayer to it as well as a level editor so that might become a thing.

Sandbox Solitaire by Marchmain 2018-05-19T12:50:29Z

I decided to do a quick and suuuper dirty VR port of this using a physics interaction system I coded for a different jam, didn't turn out so great because it doesn't play very well with the thin and light cards...
