Nice game, I made it to the first boss with what I thought were some decent upgrades but didn't manage to beat them. Funny idea, I like it :)
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD53 → Entomoria

Very neat game, though all kinds of ants and insects do scare me bit haha. Well done!
I like the idea and concept good job!
Impressive game! There is quite a lot of text though making it hard to pick out the important details quickly
Beat it first time :D I literally maxed out strength and regeneration :P It's a good game though, very much enjoy the RPG elements to it :P
Decent concept but the theme does seem a bit shoehorned in there, I guess the ant larvae things were delivering a package? The environment and enemy variation could use a bit more work too.
Cool idea, and cool music when the game is won :p
Interesting concept! I found it addicting and beat the boss on the fifth try) But I didn't understand the delivery theme reference(
@jasonsumm1 @svenerik @nail @furry-fire @legingergamer @shadowbrain @ruben-rosenmeyer @kulich thanks for the feedback and compliments! We all know that good feeling you get when people play a game you made (in this case together with friends)!
@jasonsumm1 yeah it can be a bit tricky to find the right combination and sequence of upgrades, but it's definitely doable! Thanks for playing!
@svenerik hopefully it wasn't too much :D thanks for trying it out anyway!
@nail thank you!
@furry-fire Agreed, we didn't have time to add a better detailed breakdown or things like DPS meters etc to help you quickly determine which upgrades to pick, so the walls of text are all you have lol. Thanks for playing!
@legingergamer Congrats! I'm glad you liked it!
@shadowbrain Yeah the basic shoehorned story is that you are preparing an army of super insectoids to take down Bozo, CEO of the biggest delivery company in the galaxy. And there's a package that you're dragging towards him because why not :D and enemy variety was something that we couldn't deliver due to other things being more important before the deadline... Anyway, thanks for playing!
@ruben-rosenmeyer Congrats, and thanks for playing!
@kulich Congrats! See my reply to shadowbrain for a bit more details, and thanks for playing!
I made the mistake to choose intelligence over strength and perished :laughing: found amazing the the way you represent the cooldown of the attacks and abilities
Interesting game! I quite liked the roguelite-ness but I wasn't sure how the theme tied in. Good entry!
I beat the boss by repeatedly choosing whichever stat boosted the most, given the option. Felt like a good strategy to me anyway! Cool game, not too relevant to the theme though.
Loke the art on the cards. There was one sound that sounds very glitchy, not sure if its suppose to be that way or if it is some type of glitch in the audio. Good entry regardless.
Cool! Played it 3 times. Only managed to win with an intellect-built. Seems well balanced. Audio is a bit rough on the ears at times though.
Fun game game! I like the idea of the game. I will say it does throw a bit of stats at you pretty quick to jump into. But it is fun to see how your Larvae army grows. It seems there were some instance were the sound effects clipped. Also not sure if by design but some of the larvae get stuck behind others when they get clumped up.
Fun and engaging game! It took me a few tries to find the right balance between intelligence and strength, but the combination of strategy and RPG elements made for an exciting experience.
Well this was interesting and not disturbing at all - kidding, I was literally laughing out loud when the boss showed up. I found it quite hard to beat, but I enjoyed the general gameplay. Thinking with more upgrade paths and long term development goals, this could grow into a fun little game of strategically conquering earth. The only thing I'm unsure about is theme fit for this LD, but seeing as you are dragging a huge box across the ground towards your goal, I'll allow it ;)
Really fun i have to admit and loved the idea and concept behind the game, i really enjoy seeing them become stronger and having new ways to adapt, would like to see a game like this with more development some day, i just really loved this one. managed to win in my first run with inteligence :D
Took a few attempts but I eventually managed to win. It seemed more down to the randomness of the available abilities than what you choose though. Love the idea of mutating an insect army and the abilities were interesting. The final level was a bit tedious after several attempts. The boss has tons of health and the game pauses when it loses focus so I couldn't do something else while waiting for my critters to nibble at his knees. Too many of my inventions were weak. It would be nice if it gave a summary of all your failed attempts at the end.
Great game. I really liked the concept
Yeeesss, I have defeated the Bozo Corporation! Praise the Arthronians! :D Very fun game! It's really addictive to look for the right combos to defeat Bozo. Also very very nice graphics for the abilities etc. Very nice game!
@gamedevtraum Thank you! Yeah it's a simple and effective way to show it.
@ordineu and @cireneikual222464 Thanks! Yeah the theme isn't fully realized in the game, but you are overthrowing the CEO of the biggest delivery corp while delivering a package :D
@paroxysmal and @kopako yeah that sound issue snuck its way in in the last hour or so... When we realized, it was already too late to resolve. Thanks for playing!
@jb-rock thanks! Yeah agreed, the information given isn't very clear at times, definitely something that was high on the remaining to-fix list, but didn't make it in the end. The larvae getting stuck was also introduced near the end, I removed a feature to make place for another feature, but the unintended side effect was them not pathing around each other...
@spicymarcus Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
@klausklapper haha I'm glad you appreciate our humor :D Thank you! Personally I'm toying with the idea of expanding it to just conquering a city, we'll see what happens...
@agushmar Thank you!
@someone Yeah some abilities are strong in general, no matter what build you go with. But I think there's almost always a way to win, unless you are really unlucky. Regarding the pausing when losing focus, I forgor to check the "run in background" publish setting... :( Sorry! And I agree with a summary, that would help a ton but didn't make it in. Thanks for playing!
@scorpion Thanks!
@kitira Congratulations! I'm glad you liked it :D, thanks for playing!
This is a mechanism heavy game which is impressive and the concept is really good. Good job on making this game in 72 hours. I had fun playing this game.
Fun idea, I beat the game on the second try. Art is fun and final audio too :) Maybe with more information on the choices we make, and more smooth progression the choice appear a little less random. Great job and entry for the jam.
Great job! I really liked what they were able to do with the art, the images of the skills are incredible. I would love to see the UI more polished and integrated with the art of the game, the sound FX are pretty cool too. If the game is polished more they can have something very interesting! Congratulations! xD
I like the concept but would have liked to have more agency in the game. I dont know if it was because of lack of time or a deliberate choice but being able to control the main larva would have been great in my opinion.
Overall I enjoyed the game and managed to beat it after some tries good job :thumbsup:
It was super satisfying growing my army and enjoying the VFX and SFX as they chomped through enemies. This was a unique take, and I liked the dark humour.
I got the first (only?) mounted enemy down to about half health, but not more. Interesting game, and always lovely with larva as protagonists! To few of those around.
@skullyy thank you! Yeah sadly some of the mechanics don't really do anything right now (such as speed :D which has a nice sound effect but no utility) but the core mechanics have been implemented which would make it easier to expand in the future. We ran out of time to add more enemies etc. But I'm glad you liked it!
@hmrpf Thanks! Agreed on all your points :D
@emaigualmc2-art Thank you! Glad to see you liked all that!
@aderix Thank you! Yes, it was a deliberate choice to have the game play itself once your minions are unleashed. With more time we could've added more content with some more player choices, but it was always going to be an auto battler :D
@big-cow Thanks! Making the game with all the silly and dark humour was a lot of fun so I'm glad you enjoyed that :D
@local-minimum Thank you! Yeah, the Bozo spiderboss is the final enemy of the game. He is quite tough but with the right upgrades he can be taken down :D
After 4th try I actually won :D Really cool game, I like the abilities and fact that there are many of them :D It would be cool to add some "Hive Queen" abilities that you have to apply manually but I get why it would be hard to implement during 72hours :D really cool game :D
I really like the gameplay, tried 5 runs wasn't able to beat the first boss.
I think this could work create as a roguelike"slay the spire" giving the player a bit control over the randomness.
The theme is a bit "anecdotal" xD, but I really enjoyed the game. I beat the boss on the first try!! :sunglasses: (heal + shield + stun area I think)
Interesting tactical strategy :)
Interesting idea and execution. I have to say I'm not a big fan of the unconsistant art style. Some AI stuff + simple 3d models + hand drawn 2d sprites + default Unity font. This it the part I would try to spend more time on for the next time. Good work overall!
