it could use something to do will you wait for the coins, good art

it could use something to do will you wait for the coins, good art
great job it was fun my only problem have you all ready pointed out with the upgrade button.
@gustav-andersson the first 3 choose you get are scripted so you can always solve them after it will be random cards, i found that it was to hard else and you could easily be unlocky so there were no way to win, also some of the cards are abit complex and people had a hard enough time to understand the color mecahince. ps sorry for the spelling errors :-)
i love the music plz tell where you have it from :-)
nice game i wish though that you could interact with the flowers like harvest seeds, or move them around. the music matches really well to the game both in art style and theme.
note sure if it is a bug. then you restart you cant move forward before you move to side. by other word space dont do anything before you use the arrow keys.
i got a crash when it loaded level 7. fghjk.PNG beside that great game and good music.
great game, but can you plz add a link on your lectvs.itch.io to here, it took abit of time to find your game.
okay i see alot of people complay that you cant remove single items you can do it by selecting any item and then click on the item you want to remove
ps there is a bug if you manualt remove one item the remove all items stop working, "i forgot to remove the item for a list that contains items you have plased, so when you remove all items, it gets a null exeption :-("
thank you all for the good feed back :-)
@vidarn would you have like if there where and sand box mod where the player can create there own maps, with 99999 amount of every item, this would include stuff as spikes, monster"i have no idere what i did draw there", exits, buttons, gates, sign, boxes, spring"the jump thing", grave, runnors, and anything i missed.
@vidarn Thank you :-)
fun game and I did like the graphics, reminded me of old arcade game.
this is properly the most fun game that I have played so far, only thing that I missed is some impact when you kill stuff, example feathers particles when you kill a chicken, with is a nitpick, that is all I could come up with, this is a very good entry.
first when I played the game I though it was a jam, this is a very good entry, I especially liked the music, may I ask what program did you make the music in :)
@chaosinism thank you :)
the game was very fun and had really good mood. ps you should maybe read this, not sure https://www.rfmofficialpage.com/2019/09/no-copyright-music-lakey-inspired.html
first hats off to you for making a multiplayer game for a game jam. I do think that it is maybe a bit to easy to bully the other players when you get big.
Very good mood music and sound effect match great with each other.
I had a hard time judging your game, because the last thing I want to do right now is programming after the jam. though I have given it a good score, because I do believe that I would normally like it.
Thank you and well played @ProbeProb, I see that double MondayMug is op :)
@bihaqo sorry to hear that, I think it is because of the resolution, I did a bad job with the UI, same can appear if you zoom in and out, you can maybe play the game, by zooming in or out in the browser, CTRL + Mouse Wheel.
@bihaqo can you do me a favor and see if you can play the game now.
@steffo I opt out because I know it is not good, related to loop it is missing :( I had a interesting/strange mechanic to loop, but it was destroying the fun so I cut it, I justify my game on the theme in that you are stuck moving a way until you hit a wall or guard, and items kind off work loop, I also had the map formed in a loop on release, there is a screen shot off this in the commence, but I removed it because it was a part of the problem that some people could not play the game.
A good entry, I really liked the "reset" mechanic and the walk 2 very smart, and very cool that there is a map editor in it.
hmm there seems to be a few bugs with the editor and start, if you move the map you will not start on the start point and if you then remove start point you cant place it agian.
@teawhydee np thanks for the game :)
the gameplay felt a bit to slow, maybe add more force to the jumps and make the box move faster also maybe use q and e or f and g instead og z and x eascLoop.PNG
I liked the concept, one small note in you open text it would have been nice to have the controls, just something small like "WASD to move, Space to travel in time" Ps nice touch with the looping world :)
good job you do have the core gameplay with is very well polished, but it could really need a couple simple things could to make it more engaging. when that have been said this is still good. when the link works :P it is fine it happens. PS if you use @ and the name , the person will know you have comment
very cute and good looking art, the "voice"/bib go very annoying really fast for mi and i think it would be great if there where a way to see where you could fall without die, example place water at the holes where you would die. It was a smart way to use the looping mechanic to turn a platformer in to a puzzle hybrid. overall this is a greet entry.
it is pretty smart way you are using the loop and I really liked the auto shooting, it made that you had to think more about where you where, because you couldn't control when it would go off. I did find it a shame, that there was no good reason to kill monsters with made the game play only about walking in a bullet hell, there are many ways to add purpose to killing monsters, gain dashes from killing, to kill x amount to proceed, simple score system, monster drop bullets, though I would rather not see that, since the bullet refresh mechanic was really nice, but beside that it is a really good entry.
If I get time tomorrow I will write down a guide to the game
@pandaman02 you are right I was abit to critical, about my own game, I have removed that part
Simple mechanic, but super polished and the music is so good that I am keeping the game open.
Good entry maybe the floor/platform could be a bit larger to better indicate what area is safe.
Very Fun gameplay, the Graphics, Audio is really good and matches in style. I can easily see this game on the switch console. OO I just test with my old xbox controller to see if I could use it and it works GREAT JOB, and feels much more fun with a controller. 7 out of 5
As have been pointed out already the game feels very overwhelming at first, but I do not consider this to be a bad thing, for strategy games like this and most strategy games do feel overwhelming at first, but maybe I am wrong also good art work.
To much text at the start could really use a skip all button, the boss fight was fun.
maybe I missed something but I can't figure out if you want to have overdrive of not
@bastienre4 arr okay thx
The humor was great, so was the art and you found a very good way to include the theme, while creating games that felt very different from the rest of the jam.
Very fun game after a few levels, the “hold down exit button fill bar” is a good idea. it would have saved my first run, if the reset button had that as well, the music is also really good, did you make that yourself ?
This seems to be a really good game, and I do wish to finish it, but the CTRL and alt as OllieOA pointed out, meant I wasn't able to finish, I do believe that you are allowed to update your game to change that, plz inform me if you do, because I really want to complete this game.
@majadroid arr sry I should have seen that :)
@jesper-fyhr-knudsen what bugs, there are no bugs, so if you see any that is a feature.
nah :) an alternative title was "It Just Works".
If you or anyone else sees any bugs plz let me know.
@togimaro thank you, percentages of disabling is a really good idea
@fabula-rasa I have take a lot of inspiration from old gameboy games bug/glitches, one of the more fun once was that there would be extra player character walking around on the screen, from that I was also planning on to include some puzzle element's in to the game, but because of time, it got cut from the game same with the story.
Cute and Chill, had a few problems with the aiming when the boat was at the bottom of the screen, otherwise it is a good entry.
Happy to see you got it up and running and virus free :p There are some good effects. The teleport feels super good and the level designs do compliment it, it seems that the music is not working. I guess there was supposed to be some audio and music because of the buttons and I took a look at your previous entries and can see you had audio there.
good music, good art, good job
I believe I have found a fun bug, you can lift the platform with the food
Capture123.JPG
very cute, calming and fun. the few rhythm games i have play were all very stressful nice to see they don't have to be, a detail i think would add a nice amount of juice would be to have different stuff to plant then only carrots, they do not have to be different in mecanic just on the sprite. Did you do anything special to make sure the “button-clicks” matched the beats?
That island is really good, is the ground 3d and everything else 2d also the way the water looks around the island. This is the first game that I will look at the source code, I have to see how you did this, thank you so much for uploading it.
The movement feels nice, could really use more levels or a larger area to move in.
Good mechanic for a puzzle game, I played a bit with flying around with a single block, there were a few strange behaviors, when he moves from one side to the other.
my game was at one point going to be very much like this, so it is kind of cool to see how it would have played if I went that way.
nice game, you have a good variant of enemy's with very fitting designs that made it very easy to understand what they would do.
This game is really good, good art, fun gameplay, the theme was there. It was a bit hard to read the cards, a simple way to solve this could be when you click on a card it will show up in larger scale, but it is a small thing that does not drag down the game.
@madbarron oops thx :)
Very nice arcade game, I do miss some powerups, butt it does still feel very polished, especially the earth design.
@kjscott good to hear :) I can take a look after the jam if you want, some feedback on the updated version
Nice game, fells very polished. I could easy see this on the mobil market, though it will properly be hard to translate the controls to taps.
A great submission.
It was a bit hard at first to understand how to mix the ingredients. A cookbook guide could be useful, I think that using some symbols instead of words like red could add a lot of juice to this game, it is really easy to add with textmeshpro.
The music and the graphics match really well with the gameplay, giving a nice, relaxed mood.
The art is Extremely Cute.
I like the movement, it is different, allows for a lot of movement options and at the same time a bit challenging. If I have to complain, I would like a slightly faster recharge of "stamina," maybe 10% to 20% faster, but not much more.
Thank you for the game. Your entry is so good that I played it twice.
Nice game it feels like a good base to build on, like add different cars or upgrades. The music matched well with the game.
this feels really close to a full game, something you could see in an app store. the Art, Music and the gameplay matches, nice to include different difficulty levels, maybe a bigger pen could be nice, but I can also see that it could hurt the game.
I think I am unable to sell, or maybe I don't understand the inventory, seem like right click doesn't work.
the art is really well made.
@frib thank you, for a few hours I was working on a knife for end game, that would allow you to kill the "little gremlins", but because of the rushed way, I did the inventory/shop, I couldn't make the tables stop ordering knifes without add a lot of lag.
@wbertrand @igli I was thinking about making delivery times expire. So, if you were fast at delivering, you would gain happiness; if slow, you would lose some. And if you were very slow, the order would be canceled, and you would lose a lot of happiness.
@nastyvibrato @frib @devil-ovo I will 100% agree the button mashing can be frustrating.
It is very hard. I consider it a win that, I was able to give one car its advertisement :)
The Humor and the Art is really good.
This is a nice math puzzle game, and the art style is very cute. I have developed a similar game recently, I didn't include pre-placed numbers, which is a nice touch in your game. I can see you are making more levels, maybe using randomly generated maps could be an alternative. You randomly place numbers in an array, calculate the values of the sides and then give the player access to the numbers in the array. as for your negative numbers, you can preplaced them for the player.
Great entry. My first match took me forever. But when I realized playing aggressive with the knight was an effective strategy, I almost speedrun the last two. I took an extra round where I played less aggressively to see how a larger game would feel and it was a lot fun. I think giving the players more hp and both start with more pieces on the board would be a good idea, maybe also when a piece attacks a player it gets destroyed.
Great entry!, I am a big fan of CRT effects, so it always nice to see it implemented, The color palette you have picked gives a great mood that perfectly complements the necromantic theme/setting.
I enjoyed the gameplay, it has the charm of a classic board game. I also had to skip on implementing ai, I choose to make it a part of the game design, the player has to performs three actions on behalf of the AI and only two for themselves. I believe this adds a strategic layer, as it forces the player to consider not only the best moves for themselves but also the worst possible moves for the AI. maybe this approach can help you in a future jam
@screamingrainbows and @dxk2294 thank you for your feedback, i have been playing with some visual ways to indicate what cards belong to the player, would you say a split hand would make it more clear. SplitHand2.JPG
@rowlof I was considering giving the last boss 5 of the players custom card, but chose against it since I wanted the custom card to be just for fun.
The art is insane good scoring a 7 out of 5 for me! its impressive the amount of detailed, you managed to create will being pixel art. Additionally, the soundtrack is a real banger.
A speed-up option for combat animations would be a great addition, the pacing can be a bit slow. the camera during ranged attacks could be better placed. placing the camera between the target and the attacker would make a more clearer view of the action.
That said I enjoyed the game a lot, great work
ps: I have been looking for the music online and haven't been able to find it, if it is not to much to ask could you provide links
The game feels very polished the art and music it great. I had a hard time keeping up with the requests, but that seems to be by design. therefore the difficulty is very well balanced. Personally I find it often hard to balance my entries. its impressive that you have managed to find a good middle ground between hard and unfair.
cute art and good use of the theme, it would be nice with a clock to show when you would get essence
arrr this is one of the harder reviews for me to write. I can see you have put a lot of hard work into the game, but because of my dyslexia, I do find it difficult to enjoy games that are heavy on text. I do recognize that most players do not have this problem. sorry I will not review you on: overall, fun, innovation and humor. but I have reviewed you on the aspects that I can fully enjoy: theme, audio, and mood, all of which you did very well in all these category's,. The music, in particular is really good it matches great with the art and set the mood, you are also using the theme in a clever way.
I had a great time playing the game, I kind of want to add it as a mini game to one of my own games, I would have loved to try playing it on my phone, all that it would needed is a ui buttons for enter and reset. this is a very good entry
I tried to see if there was a secret by using all of them and removing all trees, but unfortunately one got stuck out of reach. Is there a secret? SnippingTool_x0xaX1lGWz.png
By the way, the messages they left when they became fuel were a great touch! It really communicated that they’re sentient.
Great music! After I completed the game, I was surprised to find out it was a compo insane! Great job :) The detail of the different leaves around the map is fantastic it adds a lot of polish and juice to the game.

It seems like the ant with Tugging Bite is by far the best action. I couldn’t find any indication of who the enemy would attack, and I think including that would be really helpful. It could add more strategy by encouraging players to use block moves more purposefully. Also the art style is great. Overall, it’s a fun and impressive entry great work :-)
@tavox That’s super cool! I highly recommend creating a Game Design Document as early as possible it’s a great tool to guide your development. Wishing you the best of luck!
@ascenial I understand it's not the best for larger screens, I adjusted the aspect ratio to match my phone since I was looking for a game I could play while out walking. I'm really glad you enjoyed the card battle system and the art thanks for playing :)
@stalemeat Thanks so much:) I’m glad you enjoyed it and figured out the mechanics. I’ve been worried that people wouldn’t understand how the drugs work, so it’s great to hear it came through. My favorite is the rabbits, the extra draw can really help against bad luck, which I think fits super well :)
@tinykidtoo Thanks, I'm glad you liked the theme. Throwing tiny creatures did feel insane, but it was a fun idea :). It’s great to hear that the system started clicking for you, I’ve been worried people might not understand how the drugs work. I really appreciate the feedback on the coins! During testing, a cheaper shop made the crows way too powerful compared to the other animals. I’m thinking of possibly giving players coins when they win over an opponent, but it still needs testing. Thanks again for giving it a few tries :)
@ruruie Wow you noticed the music change. None of my friends have so far :) But yeah I forgot to change it back after the player loses.
@tavox Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the humor and the game, The music definitely has a great vibe! Here’s the link to it, https://opengameart.org/content/glitchy-battle.
I’ll definitely look into making the game more readable on larger screens like yours. Thanks for the feedback!
If you don’t mind me asking, since I don’t have a Mac to test on. if you use the zoom option (press and hold the modifier key while scrolling with your mouse), does the game scale properly as well?
@goodwincek Glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you for the recording—it was awesome to see your experience, and I could tell when the mechanics clicked for you.
@wyvex Glad you enjoyed the game :)
Sorry, if it’s addictive, it’s probably because of all the drugs in it :P
I’ve been thinking about your comparison to Super Auto-Pets, and I can see it. Buffing cards between rounds that carry over is most commonly seen in auto battlers. I also really like your idea of adding a freezing option to the shop, it would definitely help poor builds get some synergy cards.
Thanks again for the kind words and feedback!
@ruruie 11 attack "level 7" great job! Yes it does keep scaling forever, Someone even hit level 11, my own record is 9.
@runningopenloop I've made good progress with most builds. One strategy that works well for me is to avoid dealing damage in the early rounds and wait for the pill. This approach allows you to be quite strong by the time you reach level 5, though it does come with the trade-off of having lower lives.
Great detail in making the Rexes unique, not just different colors. It adds a lot of juice and personality to the game.
I like that you give the player a choice of three Tamagotchis at the start its a great way to help them connect by making a decision. The art style is really good, and Ill definitely give it a try.
This was really cute❤️❤️❤️
On my first playthrough, I couldn't bring myself to leave the ducklings behind. The background sounds made me think they’d get eaten by the time I came back. Because of that, I noticed a small bug, when the chain of ducklings gets too long they start to glitch around, but it didn’t affect gameplay.
Sorry to say, but your game isn’t loading for me. I’ll check back later, as I’d love to review it.
Sorry to say, but your game isn't loading for me.
I got it working on Firefox, but I'm not sure why. If anyone else has loading issues, try a different browser.
Took some time, but I got there Really nice that you included an end scene. I feel like a lot of jam games skip that. done.JPG
A solid foundation for a 2D horror game.
I’m guessing you used sprite masks to create the field of view, which worked really well it added a lot to the atmosphere, especially when paired with the textured visuals. I liked how you went for something more stylistic instead of the typical fade-out effect; it did a lot to enhance the mood.
That said, the walk speed felt a bit too slow for the pacing. It made exploration feel sluggish, especially when running into dead ends. A slightly faster movement speed could help maintain the player’s interest.
Overall, the concept is strong, and with a bit more work, this could turn into a genuinely compelling horror game.
@deadcode Glad you enjoyed the game! 😊 Though I think you might’ve misunderstood a bit — you don’t actually have to defeat enemies to progress.
@jhax Thanks so much! Really glad to hear you found there was enough variety without things getting too complex, and that it still felt approachable. I actually had a lot more plans for the crew cards, so it's great to hear they still let players pull off some fun combos.
@wyzal Thank you! I was hoping the “discard to gain mana” mechanic would work as a good stand-in — giving the player an extra decision to make each turn. But yeah, having some power restored between turns might be the better approach in the long run. Appreciate the feedback and glad you enjoyed the art style!
@r8teful Thanks you 😊 I noticed you’re a YouTuber, have you ever considered making a video of you playing jam entries? I’m always on the lookout for those after a jam ends
@gaspar It’s awesome to hear you found some strong strategies, even though it was a bit tricky to figure out at first.
@paulhocker I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Sry about the bad luck. Luck is a another good point for why restoring some power between turns might be a better design choice.
When I play, I try to avoid spending all my power in a single round. In concept, I only use high-cost cards like Big Torpedo if I’m sure I can afford it or if it’s absolutely worth it.
Thanks again for the kind words!
@cammin *I’ve been tweaking the layout a bit after the jam the “play” card area now appears right on top of the enemy area, which I think helps solving the drag-distance issue.
*Cool to hear it gave you EarthBound vibes.
*The enemies are definitely tanky. I wanted them to stick around so the board never felt empty. I lowered their damage to balance it out a bit. A lot of games handle this by spawning new enemies every round or having set encounters, but I went with the slow-building of chaos instead.
*Super happy you liked the enemy designs! I was honestly worried. I couldn’t quite draw what I had in mind, so I just went with what I managed to get down. Glad it worked out
The music is really good—I got really pulled into the game and made it to level 35. The boss could use either more HP or some invulnerability time; I just spammed the anchor on him and got through really fast.
I’d also love to have a bit more control over the movement. It often felt like I was just bouncing in place, trying to line up the right weapon to hit an enemy.
The art is INSANE!!! I do pixel art myself, but nowhere near this level.
This is a really impressive entry across multiple categories—it's fun, has a great mood, strong music, and you nailed the theme. Well done! When does it end.JPG
Great entry! First off, the mood is top-notch—super relaxing. It really gives me that old-school feeling of mining in Minecraft, just unwinding and zoning out. I’ll probably return to the game tonight to decompress.
The music is also really good—did you find it online? I’d love a link if you’re open to sharing.
P.S. The two fullscreen buttons on Itch are overlapping. I’d recommend disabling Itch.io’s built-in fullscreen to avoid that.
I think there are some interesting ideas here. It could definitely become a fun puzzle game if you lean more into that direction.
I hope you manage to get the 20 ratings in time. best of luck!
The visuals really carry the game. I did miss having sound effects, though—something simple would’ve gone a long way. I use Bfxr myself; it’s a great tool for quick sound design, and I think the style would really fit this game.
There was a nice feeling of exploration in trying to dive deeper, weaving through the terrain to see what was hidden in the unknown. I collected a few orbs and dodged some sea monsters… though I’m not even sure I had to, since some didn’t seem to damage me. Maybe I missed something important.
Still, the vibe is strong. I’d love to see this fleshed out more.
The art style is really good and cute. I might be wrong about this, but I think it’s a bit of a shame that so much of the artwork is hidden behind the lighting system. For example, the big end 'boss' was really hard to see. I get that you're going for a dark, moody vibe, so the heavy use of shadows makes sense, but I still wish I could see more of the visuals, especially since they seem so well done.
